Nessa, I don't think you can go wrong with the Poly Voyager Focus. It's one of our favorite headsets, and it has great sound and comfort features. I doubt you'll be disappointed in any way. Great choice!
I own a Jabra Evolve 75 and can confirm the sound is sometimes dalish (robotic). In case I must buy a new headset it should be the Voyager Focus UC. Yes and it has been improved but this sound is quite recognizable. That's no brainer.
I just ordered one from amazon. I watched this and several other reviews and they all seem to agree that this is an excellent headset. I didn't want to spend $200 but the $100 ones either have poor battery life (Logitech H800), or lack of a mute button (MPOW), and quality isn't as good and no ANC. This set seems to have it all and isn't bulky and uncomforable like a gaming headset.
Jabra is distorted but considering all the other videos I know it's an issue of this video because it has good quality in all the other videos . Both the headset are really good in noise cancellation.
I’ve owned both and actually got a lot of complaints when using the Jabra that my voice was dropping in and out, or being distorted. That’s why I switched over to the Plantronics, and there have been few complaints since.
Hi Roy, thank you! Any headset with a noise canceling microphone is set out of the box. There's no way to adjust the mic noise cancellation so we connect the headsets to the computer and hit record, then let you all decide what sounds best to you.
@@HeadsetAdvisor I was thinking that only de newer version of the voyager Focus 2 could be used and charged with the USB cable at the same time, but If you realy confirmed that the Voayger focus 1 could do it too, I will for sur save the 100$ box for the upgrade 2 and go with de 1.
wow, yeah. The jabra is definitely a lot more processed and the jabra definitely had a lot more robotic moments. When you were tapping the jabra mic in the beginning, it just completely muted everything. The only thing I've really heard that troubles me about the voyager is that build quality is a bit poor, but I'm not planning to bang my head into things while wearing a headset. Thanks for this and I'm watching some of your other videos too to see what other good options there might be.
I noticed that when you are speaking on the Jabra, your audio/voice sometimes gets distorted. Also there is still background noise (blender test) with the Jabra compared to the Voyager.
In the Poly voyager 65, do you have to do anything in setup to activate the microphone noice cancelling? I need to be able to block out my background for callers’ audio. Thanks!
Hi Ally, there's nothing you need to do to turn on the mic noise cancellation as it's built in. If the mic doesn't block enough background noise, we'd re commend adding noise canceling software here krisp.ai/?ref=headsetadvisor
Which would you recommend for working from home with a pc (zoom)? I like the on ear aspect of both headsets, and being my home background noise isn't a major issue but I need wireless because my kitten loves to eat wires lol
Gotta love kittens who eat wires :D both models in this video will work for your needs, or I'd recommend this model ruclips.net/video/DYsoT6E_byI/видео.html or this model if you'd like to have about 10x the wireless range to walk and talk on calls ruclips.net/video/Os_Vb05goxw/видео.html

Jabra Evolve 75: The microphone cracks after 2 years when the warranty is over. I would not recommend it. Lot of colleagues have the same problem and Jabra pretends it's not happening. Google it, lot if people face this problem. Don't know about the Voyager though.

i have voyager and jabra 65. I know it is not evolve 75, but soundwise, voyager is much better. listening to music or movie. Jabra 65 doesnt have ANC, so I can't compare that. The build of Jabra 65 is like 75, so I would say that using it for awhile, you will feel a slight pain on top of your head, especially if the headset is resting on your head. Poly voyager never gave me such pain. Jabra's announcement of connection does not specify what device it is connecting to. Just mentioned 'mobile connected'. What mobile?? laptop and cellphone are mobiles. Voyager mentions it: 'phone connected'. In voyager, when you take off your headset, you automatically muted or paused the movie/video/song. That is a nice feature. Jabra does not do that. unfortunately, I think the quality of the finished product of voyager is bit lower than the jabra. After a few years of mild to heavy use, the leather sections of the headset peeled off. Also, having the top band helped cushion your head, but note that the wires are on the outside of the 'gate' there. The wires are inside the red plastic tubing there, exposed. Heavy use will certainly do damage to that red plastic section, and the wire inside it. That's what happened to my voyager, that's why I am trying my evolve 65 now. i would say that sound wise, I am pro voyager. But I need to be extra careful when using voyager. Jabra looks better and more rigid, but if it is sound quality and comfy you seek, I think voyager is the better one.
I think so as well, so we will have to redo this video. Most likely the headset needed an update or we needed to restart our computer, so stay tuned for a revised video soon.
I would prefer that you spend more time testing the sound with realistic background noise than this blender stuff. Who would make calls in such conditions? Like AC, computer fan, typing, human speech and barking even.
Thanks for watching and providing your feedback! No idea how we came up with this blender nonsense, but it's been fun nonetheless. We do have plans going forward to do the blender test plus add a real world scenario like you mentioned :)
Hi Frida thanks for the recommendation we just launched a new video of the different brands of headsets and we included office style noises as you recommended in addition to the blender test. Check it out here: ruclips.net/video/4mBWstJwQrk/видео.html
Believe it or not, I would. I work on a dining table right in front of the open-kitchen bench. It's often not a problem as my wife is at work too not cooking, but occasionally it is when she (or my kid during school holidays) are using the kitchen.
Thanks for the comparisons you are doing. I have used headsets for more than 10 years. Every day. Every hour :-) Something might be interesting to add to your testing scenario. I have both. Jabra and Plantronics. Let's say I'm listening to music. Both (Jabra and Plantronics) produce nice stereo sound. But if I get a Skype call - Jabra goes to MONO music. Plantronics doesn't change anything- it goes STEREO. Also in case, the user is not young - he will have some hair in his ears :-) In the case of using Jabra (Plantronics the same) style of ear cushions - no way, you can sit more than 2 hours wearing them. For now, the best I found is some gaming headset with ANC and a very comfortable wearing style. It has two different audio devices inside - one for chat and another one for music. And I can change what I want to hear :-) Chat or nice relaxing music.
Jabra did terrible when you were talking and breaking up. Total garbage sounding. I've used them at my last company and they were ok, but I don't like on the ear so I replaced them quickly.
I’ve used both, and definitely found the Plantronics Voyager to be more comfortable and voice quality is a little bit better too.
