I know it’s 10 months later… but I need a headset for ‘wfh’. Thank you for helping make that choice. Decided to go with the 65’s. I honestly cannot justify the extra for that small of a difference. New sub, happy to be on board!
The BEST headset reviews, and I've listened to a few. I have decided to buy the Evolve 2 65 as I need it for working from home and spend a lot of time in conference calls. Super stoked now that I finally feel that I can make an efficient choice. Thank you!
It looks like the mic on the Evolve2 65 is better at cancelling out the background noise. I currently have the Evolve 75 I appreciate all your videos. Keep up the great work.
Hi Raymond also we just did a battle of the Jabra Evolve2 85 compared to the other brands Poly, EPOS, and Bose equivalent you may want to check it out here: ruclips.net/video/4mBWstJwQrk/видео.html
I have Evolve 75's rolled out through my offices with stock of them hitting a low I'm left wondering about going with the Evolve2 75, which seems to have a hefty price hike in Australia, or the Evolve2 65. One feature I particularly like on the original 75's is when they're turned on you're given information about the connections and battery life for example if you have the USB in your laptop and BT to your phone you'll hear "PC connected, mobile device connected" along with "battery full". Does the Evolve2 65 have this feature?
Is it just me or does the Jabra Evolve2 65 mic sounds better than the Jabra Evolve 75? I will have to start working from home in November. I am looking for a headset to pair to my Samsung S8. Thanks for this review. I am very interested in the Jabra Evolve2 65.
The Evolve2 65 is newer of the two so it should be an overall improvement to the 75. Another model you may want to consider as well is here ruclips.net/video/WKT_F75TtCc/видео.html
Man...you had me confused @ 5:20 because you said you were switching to the Evolve 75 right before, but the Evolve 75 is still sitting on the table! Ha ha! You had the Evolve2 65 on your ears at that time. The noise cancellation on the Evolve2 65 microphone was DOPE, though! Was that legit or did you lower the background noise so we could hear you speak?? If not, the Evolve2 65 "MIC" is far superior with noise cancellation. Great detailed review, though! Let me know because I just bought the E2 65...ha ha! Thanks!
Haha we had to keep you on your toes 😂 anytime we do a test we plug it in and test so you can hear for yourself. Nothings edited or changed between the different comparisons. The mic volume is usually about 50% on all tests, and we leave the background volume the same :)
Thanks for doing these reviews. You *have* to level-match the audio when you switch between the two products. People will almost *always* choose the one that sounds louder (in this case the older product by a large margin). Maybe level matching is not possible (I'm a software engineer, not audio engineer so I'm no help :-)).
The tip of little plastic piece on the boom on my Jabra 75 headset broke and I’ve been glueing it. I bought a Bose set in the meantime. The Bose are great for noise canceling for me BUT they seem to be amplifying background noise to my clients who are listening! Is noise canceling only for me? My priority is that noise is canceled for the person I’m talking to. Please help me understand.
Hi Wyn, the Jabra will be better at mic noise cancellation. If you're within the warranty period, we'd recommend requesting a warranty replacement or another headset to consider to fit your needs is here headsetadvisor.com/products/orosound-tilde-pro-premium-bluetooth-headset-with-anc-and-excellent-noise-cancelling-microphone
I have used Evolve 75 for 6 months now and bought the Evolve2 65 today due to some mic issue in Evolve75. Comparison: 1) Music sound is definitely better in Evolve2 65 2) Looks-wise I find Evolve2 65 better as Evolve 75 looks bit weird to me 3) Noise cancellation is definitely better in Evolve 75(ANC) 4) Evolve 75 has a magnet attached to the mic withhold it vertically while Evolve2 65 mic looks cheap but is better at noise cancellation 5) Finally Evolve2 65 is value for money, if we ignore ANC Evolve2 65 is way better than Evolve 75 Edit: After using for about 2 weeks: The mic on Jabra2 65 has some issues, if we speak loud then it feels like the air travel through the mic to the ears and causes a vibration in the ears. It is really annoying, you can test this by blowing air into the mic.
It seems like the 65 sounds like it has a better mic, but the 75 sounds better in the ear? Is there one with the best of both? I want my customers to hear me. I also recently lost most hearing in one of my ears. I’ve been using a bone conduction setup with ear plugs from aftershock. Any other recommendations for my situation?
For connectivity to mobile phone and computer, either of these headsets will work well for you. The Evolve2 65 is the newest variant of the two if that makes any difference to you.
Hey Todd, you'll want to chose the UC variant. If you want to listen to in depth the differences this video will help ruclips.net/video/f5AOrz8Exts/видео.html
I almost made up my mind and picked Jabra Evolve2 65 because it's newer and seems the updates override older higher grade model 75. Now Jabra Evolve2 75 was just announced. I'm back to square one.
Hi Lauma, you really can't go wrong with either model. They're both great headsets! That being said if ANC and being able to hide the microphone into the headset is two features you'd really like to have, then the Evolve2 75 will be worth the wait. If that's not a big deal, then the Evolve2 65 would be great for you. Feel free to pre-order the Evolve 2 75 if that's the way you want to go here headsetadvisor.com/products/jabra-evolve2-75-wireless-headset-with-anc
Hi, thanks for the detailed review. Being able to hear my voice when I speak it’s really important to me. Would there be any delay when hearing my voice back using sidetone? Is one of these models better than the other in that regard? Would there be less delay if I was to go for the wired version? Ideally looking for headphones like the 65 but with zero delay
You're welcome! Thanks for watching. No, there won't be any delay with the sidetone activated and you can adjust the level of sidetone that's best for you. Neither model is better then the other in that regard.
Good review in the differences between these 2 headsets I am considering BUT, what I really wanted to know and see was how they can "seamlessly" jump from desk (VOIP) phone, to laptop to cell phone. Any thoughts on this?
These headsets are best designed for your mobile phone + computer. To switch between your cell phone and computer is easy. When you use the computer, the headset knows to set the computer as default. When you switch to audio on the mobile, it switches.
This not an issue. You use the USB to connect to the desktop and you pair your headphone with the mobile. Is a call coming in you can pick up the call with your headphone without worrying about the source. That is done seamless automatically.
hello there. I want to ask you which headset is better for work from home. I have an evolve 75 I just purchased but saw that the evolve2 65 review from you. is the evolve2 65 better then evolve 75?
Hi Mickey, both headsets are very good. The Evolve2 65 is the newest of the two models, but I wouldn't say one is better than the other. Both are very good for comfort, battery and sound for business calls or meetings.
Thank you so much for the very detailed review! I just bought a Jabra Evolve 75. The ANC works for me but how do I know if the noise cancelling feature works for the receiver? I tried recording using the headset at home but I can hear fan noises, rain, and even people talking very clearly. Is this a defective item? Should I return it?
Hi Nicole, you're welcome and thanks for watching :) There's no button to turn on or off the microphone noise cancellation. No headsets we've tested will 100% block out the background noises, but having a noise canceling microphone will help reduce the noise. That being said, your microphone gain may be to high. Check out this video ruclips.net/video/J65gbQVmSDc/видео.html to adjust your microphone volume and bring it down to around 30-50%. Secondly, download Jabra direct here www.jabra.com/software-and-services/jabra-direct to see if there's any updates available.
Great video! Sounds like the Jabra Evolve 65's mic did a much better job cancelling the blender's noise. Isn't it kind of weird given that it doesn't have the electric chip, which you mention at the beginning of the video? Just double verifying that there was no mix up on the names, before I go ahead and order the 65 ones...
Great review thanks for posting. I know the review isn't about this, but which microphone is that on your desktop? Could I use that for teams meetings?
75= worse mic with worse noicecancelling but better speakers with more clearp crisp sound. 65= better mic with suburb noisecancelling speakers sounded a bit more shallow though. So if you use the headset for meetings only and have other speakers for music on idle time OR that it's really important that YOU sound good I recommend 65. If hearing good and having good music is most important the 75 is better. I'd pick the 65 everyday of the week though since I listen to music through far better speakers than any headset, and I want ppl to hear me loud and clear.
Hi David. One thing that really helps this condition of not being able to hear yourself, is choosing a headset that provides the feature of sidetone. What you described, is exactly what sidetone is designed to solve. With a Jabra headset, you can download the Jabra Direct software (free download), which gives you access to several features that you can adjust, one being sidetone. That fully fixes that problem.
We use the 75 in the office and I am currently evaluating the 65. From a point of wearing comfort, for me the 75 wins without a doubt. The cushions on the 65 seem less comfy to me and the overal headset seems more flimsy. What are your thoughts on that?
Hi Jeroen, it's a tough one because we've heard both sides from many customers. Some prefer the comfort of the 75 and others prefer the 65. If comfort is the main concern, hands down the Focus UC 2 is the most comfortable we've tested so far. Learn more here ruclips.net/video/NX-bEkgwatw/видео.html
