    Despite omitting a number of things (most notably the number of microphones), it's surprising to see the 65 Flex perform as well as the 75, especially with its lightweight and foldable form factor. In my opinion, the 65 Flex and 75 are pretty much on par.

    Hi Danny, all these tests were performed with the USB dongle, correct? My experience with the Jabra evolve 75 is that if you connect the headset using the dongle the background noise cancelling works much better, in fact I believe that with Bluetooth almost does not reduce any background noise. Did you have the same experience? Cheers,

    • @CallOneInc
      @CallOneInc  4 дня назад

      Hi Santiago! Yes, I do my best to follow the manufacturers recommended setup. In this case, when using these Jabra Evolve2 series headsets with a computer, it's recommended you use the included USB dongle. The overall performance will be optimal especially when Jabra Direct software and headset/dongle firmware are up to date. And yes, that is my experience. There are multiple variables that can impact the performance when pairing directly with a laptop including differences in Bluetooth versions, and lack of required Bluetooth Profiles, and Remote Call Control capabilities.

    I have two key questions on all these headsets.
    1- What is the range of the Bluetooth? Currently, My current Jabra Pro 9470 headset (not BT) I can walk 25-30 ft away from my desk and maintain excellent quality.
    2- Can the microphone be rotated so that it is used on the left side of the head.

    • @CallOneInc
      @CallOneInc  Месяц назад +1

      Excellent questions! I'll make sure to include in future videos.
      1. What is the range of the Bluetooth? Per Jabra specs, all three models support up to 30m/100ft range however, that's line of sight in open area. In a normal environment like a home office, I get 25-50ft.
      2. Can the microphone be rotated so that it is used on the left side of the head? No. The microphone boom can only be used on the right side and can can not be changed.
      I hope this helps! Contact us directly if you have more questions! M-F, 8 am-5 pm ET (except holidays).

    The Evolve2 65 sounds most natural to me and the Evolve2 65 Flex has the best background noise cancelation. As for the Evolve2 75, well, in my book - third place in both areas. Ironically, I can imagine that if the Evolve2 85 would be included too, it would score fourth in both.

      AntonK, I almost included the Evolve2 85 however, I want to compare it with the new Poly Voyager Surround 80. They are more comparable wearing styles. I compared these because the Evolve2 65 Flex has the name name as Evolve2 65 except for the "Flex" and the 65 Flex has ANC like the Evolve2 75 that is on-ear style. Appreciate your feedback!

    Great comparison of the headsets. I'd be interested in understanding how these headsets would perform in background noise against the Engage series - particularly Engage 75. Any thoughts on this?

    • @CallOneInc
      @CallOneInc  7 месяцев назад +1

      Love the question, Morten! I will have to create a video or write a blog comparing the two. The biggest difference between the Evolve2 and Engage is the wireless operating frequency. The wireless Evolve2 versions use Bluetooth technology 2.4GHz while the wireless Engage series use DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) 1.9Ghz. The other key difference is the Engage 75 base is designed to provide connectivity to desk phones, computers, and mobile phones. The Evolve2 provides connectivity to a computer and mobile phone. Based on my tests, the Engage Mono and Stereo models provide better audio performance in terms of noise canceling and voice clarity but its better demonstrated via video versus me telling you. Thanks so much for watching, supporting our channel, and your great question!

      Thanks so much for watching and supporting our channel, Albert! I get to pick whatever headset I want and use a few headsets. However, my go-to for work from anywhere is the Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex. Why?
      ✅ Very Lightweight and Comfortable (most comfortable UC Bluetooth headset I've tried to date)
      ✅ Very Good Noise Canceling Mic
      ✅ OK Active Noise Canceling (ANC) Speakers
      ✅ Certified and compatible with all leading UC platforms, including Microsoft Teams and Zoom
      ✅ Flexible Form Factor allows you to fold into a low profile carry case that makes it easy to transport in my backpack
      ✅ Long battery life (20hrs +) and supports Qi Wireless Charging like my iPhone
      These are my opinions based on my tests and personal preferences. The Poly Voyager Focus 2 is very popular with our team members, and many of them use it. The Poly Voyager Free 60+ has many great features and functions, but the mic transmit performance in noisy environments is not the best unless you use Noise Suppression from Zoom or Teams. I use the Poly Voyager Free 60 when editing or watching videos on my iPhone. They are also suitable for listening to music, podcasts, and audiobooks while walking my dog. The Evolve2 75 is ok. It is heavier than the original Evolve 75, and from my tests, the mic doesn't perform as well as the older Evolve 75 or Evolve2 65 Flex. The EPOS Impact 1000 Series has tested the best in every environment if you need a headset with a superior noise-canceling mic. But that's my personal opinion. Hope this helps.

    Informative video, thank you! I am leaning towards the 65 Flex model, but can you tell me your opinion on which headset has the best ANC and Background noise combo? The background noise suppression is the most important but I seem to get easily thrown off if I can also hear my coworker sitting next to me on their call. So looking for something that has both, if that exists. Any model / recommendation is appreciated!

    • @CallOneInc
      @CallOneInc  10 дней назад +2

      Hello! Thanks so much for watching! Active Noise Canceling (ANC) technology is designed to reduce certain types of background noise, primarily low-frequency, consistent sounds like the hum of an air conditioner, the rumble of an engine, or the drone of an HVAC system. It works by using microphones to detect external noise, then generating sound waves that are the exact opposite (anti-noise) to cancel it out.
      However, ANC is less effective at blocking higher-frequency, irregular sounds like human voices. This is because speech involves a wide range of frequencies that vary quickly in tone and volume, making it more challenging for ANC to counteract. While ANC can help reduce the overall noise level, it won't completely eliminate the sound of someone talking nearby. That's why, even with ANC headphones, voices can still be heard, though they may be less distracting.
      For better voice suppression, passive noise isolation, such as over-ear or in-ear designs that physically block sound, can help alongside ANC.
      I've tested headsets, earbuds and headphones with ANC speakers from Bose, Sony, Jabra, EPOS, Yealink, Logitech, Apple, HP Poly and more! NONE were able to block/suppress 100% of human voice. Now, when I am streaming audio at louder volumes, it seems like I can't hear anything in the background.
      You have to prioritize what is more critical, what YOU hear or what the people on the other end of the call hear. The Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex is a great hybrid work headset because it's small form factor when folded makes it easy to transport between locations. The Jabra Evolve2 55 i feel has a better noise canceling (NC) mic. Of course the EPOS Impact 1000 series have the best performing NC mics (IMO) and the ANC is decent. It's no Bose or Sony.
      Headsets like the Jabra Evolve2 85, EPOS Adapt 660 and HP Poly Voyager 80 and 85 models due a better job with ANC but their microphones are not as strong as the others in really noisy environments.
      I hope this helps but ultimately, you decide what is most important. (Don't forget about comfort - Evolve2 65 Flex are super comfortable)

    I have the Jabra Evolve2 65 and I find the padding very thin and not very comfortable. I can feel the hard plastic underneath. Are there any ear pad replacement options that are thicker memory foam/more comfortable?
    Why do these videos by headset sellers always fail to mention that Jabra headsets have an annoying audio fade in ‘feature’ that can’t be turned off?
    The headset audio goes to sleep if there is no incoming audio for a couple of seconds and takes a second to reconnect and fade in audio. This means that virtually every notification ping makes no sound through the headset.
    Jabra support says this is a ‘feature’ and doesn’t need fixing. Makes me want to throw this headset in the trash bin.

      Hi Chris! Thanks for watching and sharing your feedback. Do you have the Evolve2 65 Flex or Evolve2 65? Comfort is so subjective. The Evolve2 65 Flex is the most comfortable dual-ear headset I've tested, but that's based on my preferences. And as for the annoying sleep feature, I'll try to include that. It's not just Jabra Headsets. All UC Bluetooth headsets across all brands do that, some more than others. I have to "wake up" the headset mics when filming these videos. I'll bring this back up to Jabra and the other manufacturers. Appreciate you watching and sharing this. We love feedback from actual end-users of these products.

    I'm still using the OG Evolve 75 and the microphone performance handily beats all of these. To me, all of the latest Jabra Evolve's sound like they have highly compressed the audio into a very narrow band, ostensibly for intelligibility, at the expense of sounding natural.
    I'm holding off on any new office headset purchase until someone has bluetooth LC3 and Super wideband built in. Jabra has super wideband in the Engage 50 (which I also have, and the difference is like a scratchy tape vs CD audio) but that is wired. Google just updated the Pixel Buds Pro (earbuds) to support super wideband. It is possible.
    It's going to take some major mic/call audio updates for me to shell out $250-$350 for a new high end office headset.

    I've been looking at the different comparisons of Jabra Evolve2 headsets. The tests seems to show that the 65 flex is better than the 75 for my use. Is that because 65 flex is a newer version? Will there be a release of a better and upgrades 75 version that I should wait for? I'm just thinking that the 75 should have been better than the 65 flex when it comes to the version numbering and number of noise cancellation options.

    • @CallOneInc
      @CallOneInc  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Silje151! Thanks for watching! What is your use case? The Evolve2 65, Evolve2 65 Flex and Evolve2 75 are different. It's not really about "better." Headset users have varying preferences. Some may like a heavier-feeling headset and opt for the Evolve2 75. Some may not need ANC speakers and choose the Evolve2 65, while some may prefer a lighter-weight, easy-to-transport headset with ANC and select the Evolve2 65 Flex. Based on my conversations with Jabra, there isn't a newer version of the 75 coming. The Evovle2 75 was supposed to be an upgrade to the original Evolve 75. Regarding nomenclature, it's still a mystery how brands choose model/series names. Great question! Thanks for supporting our channel!

There is also noise from people talking in the hallways and coffee grinder noise from the kitchen. I'll use them when I need to concentrate or I'm on the phone/teams meeting. I have the Jabra Evolve 75 now, but it's not really ideal when there is a lot happening around me, and the Jabra Evolve2 85 will be too enclosed and sound proof for comfort.

    • @CallOneInc
      @CallOneInc  6 месяцев назад +2

      I like the Evolve2 65 Flex. It has Hybrid ANC but I need to confirm with Jabra if it’s been improved compared with Evolve 75. Models that surround the ears will have better ANC. My next video will be filmed in an open office environment with people all around and I will include Evolve2 65 Flex. A model that is newer and not mentioned as much is the Jabra Evolve2 55. It has ANC and a decent mic. Ultimately, headset speaker audio performance is highly subjective based on the individual's hearing profile. The Jabra Evolve2 has 40mm speakers vs Evolve2 65 Flex has 28mm speakers. When using platforms and applications like Teams, the mic performance is improved with the use of any UC / Teams certified headset + platform noise suppression enabled. So it will come down to your personal preference.

    but how far away can youb walk before you lose audio/voice?

      Ah! Great question! I forget I need to include wireless range test. The answer is, it varies. If I am out in an open area with no obstructions between the headset and dongle, I can go fairly far. In my home office with furniture, walls, doors, major appliances, etc, I can go from 25ft - 60ft+. I'll probably film a wireless range test on the Evolve2 65 Flex. I'm fairly certain I've done wireless range tests for Evolve2 65 and 75. Thanks for watching and your question!

    which is best for BABY CRY please help 😢😭 why no one focusing on baby noises ?

    • @CallOneInc

      We have several headset mic test videos that include a crying baby. NO headset I've tested completely blocks our a crying baby. What voice, video or UC platform are you using? I have found that adjusting the audio setting in Zoom to Personalized Audio Isolation and in Teams, Voice isolation, combined with a headset with good noise canceling mic, it does a better job. I actually plan on filming a video in a daycare soon to test with and without those isolation settings in Zoom and Teams. So I ask again, which voice, video or UC platform/s are you using? Or are you paired directly to a mobile phone or using with a desk phone?

      @@CallOneInc Thank you so much for taking your time and helping this mom. Please do , lots of mothers asking in most youtube comments but there is no real world baby related noise cancellation video .
      I am gonna do Krisp plus headset. It's for teams . Most people obviously would be happy if you test with teams as it's the standard for most private n gov organizations. Could you also check by doubling Krisp? Thank you again much love

      @@CallOneInc So I clicked on the links that were provided here and I was able to see the item but when I attempted to check out the item was no longer in the cart. So I try to search for the item and the result was " none found" , did a bit more digging and found out that if I am logged in no items were available, and when I logged out I could see the items, so basically I could not get anything because for some reason the items were disappearing right after I logged in. I will call in tomorrow as well.

    65 (digital mic) handles droning/mechanical noises better
    while performing worse on more natural background noises
    I wonder when Jabra will make an attachable mic with all their technologies in it
