    I'd like to thank this channel and for this review Because after it, I bought Jabra Evolve 2 65 flex and I'm really happy about it. It's completely comfortable, the battery stays for very long and many times I heard people saying: the audio is very good and: your voice is very clear. I also asked if they could hear the background noise and they said no. So the noise cancellation works very well. I spoke in lower voice on purpose to know if the other person would hear me and he really did. For those who have hybrid job I recommend 100%. The noise cancelling is not like Bose or Sony but the purpose of this one is not to be like them in this functionality. But still, during the call it blocks pretty well doing a great job. It's a pity for this channel to not have more likes cause the job they are doing is amazing and really professional. I don't get anything from them but would like to congratulate them for this job.

    Great review. Covered all and more than what I was looking for.
    I had used Jabra evolve 2 65 (not the flex) but what I didn't like is that it didn't have anc or hear thru. The passive noise cancelling meant there was constant muff around my ears and I didn't feel comfortable speaking.
    Planning to get this for the ANC feature and boy I was happy to see your video being recommended in YT. Really nailed it and can't wait to see it myself.

    Thanks, found this channel while doing a deep dive into a new office headset, I have a hybrid work model and a hot-desk office, so I have to bring a headset with me every day I need to be in the office, and I really loathe anything bulky or large - I have a small head and any large headset wouldn't fit into my laptop bag. I will wait for more long-term feedback of this unit. I use the Jabra Evolve2 75, and a big issue has been the hardware quality of the boom mic. With frequent usage, moving the mic up and down leads to crackling sounds and eventual outright failure of the boom mic. My unit has undergone 2 warranty replacements for this issue. I suspect the wire connected between the boom mic and the rest of the headset frays or gets damaged over time. I hope Jabra made the Evolve2 65 Flex boom mic more robust.

      I agree, sounds like the same issue. I'm sticking with the old Jabra Evolve 75 till they sort out the mic issues on the newer models. I thought the shorter mic length might be the issue, but the Shokz Opencomm has a similar length mic without these digital issues.

  • @AlmerickSo
    @AlmerickSo Год назад +2

    I managed to demo this unit for a week. It does sound great (both listening and speaking) - better than the Engage 50 and 65 which I use regularly. Unfortunately the deal breaker for me was the tightness of the headband. The clamping force is much stronger than the Engage line and also the old Evolve 65. I wear large sized hats and helmets and the Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex is just too tight/stiff and gives me headaches after just an hour's use.
    Any recommendations of similar performance but more suitable for larger heads?

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  Год назад +1

      If you still have the evolve2 65 or flex try bending the middle of the headband to reduce the clamping force there’s a balance if you have no clamping force then you won’t have good noise cancellation and sound won’t be as good. Curious to hear if you bend the middle of the headband outwards a bit if that helps.

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  Год назад

      In regards to the comfort is different on the evolve2 65 flex the 65 is a bit bulkier and I think it has more clamping force. But the cushions on the flex is really soft and comfortable.

    Hi Dave,
    Excellent videos keep up the good work.
    After watching the video the evolve2 65 flex checked all my boxes but the reality is that I will return the headset back as the experience was not the expected. ANC checked! Modern sleek design check! Foldable bonus check! Wireless charging extra bonus check!
    However while I was coding and listening to music,with the ANC at the highest level, I was still able hear my colleagues talking in the background and losing my concentration. I had to boost the music volume at the highest level which means that it was unconfortable for me and for my colleagues as they were able to hear my loud music from the not over-ear headphones.
    Can you advise the best alternative for an over-ear office headset?
    Chris

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  9 месяцев назад

      Thanks for your feedback! And the performance sounds about right as the ANC helps but isn't going to give the most noise reduction you can get. An over-ear headset is definitely the way to go here and the top two would be the Orosound Tilde Pro or the Jabra Evolve2 85.

I am a bit nervous about some of the reviews I have seen saying that the mic essentially thinks your voice is background noise and cutting out audio on MS Teams. Did you experience that at all? • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  6 месяцев назад

      We've found the microphone to work well on the Evolve2 65 Flex. Within Teams there's a setting called "noise supression", you may need to turn this off or turn it to the lowest setting if the microphone isn't picking up your voice properly.
      Reviews online can sometimes be misleading because in many cases quick troubleshooting can resolve most headset issues and have it working like it should.

    Idk it seems like every new headset Jabra comes out with is the best no matter what the tier level is. I know they are all a little bit different but I’ve read that the evolve2 75 and 85 have bad mic quality because of a hardware design. Did the 65 flex fix that? My company will pay for any Jabra or poly headset and I want something with good ANC but it feels like because the mic problems I have to go with the 65 flex but probably doesn’t have better ANC so is there not a Jabra headset out there that has great ANC, sound for listen to music with 40mm driver, and also a good mic?
    What headset would you recommend? Criteria is any poly or Jabra with good mic quality for zoom/ teams about 2 hours a day but also good ANC/ music for working and focusing. I was thing about the Focus 2 but it’s an older headset.

That being said, the Evolve2 65 Flex is Bluetooth and best for mobile phone + computer, whereas the Engage 65 is DECT and is best for your desk phones and computers. The Engage 65 also requires the charging base for the headset to work, so it isn't as portable if you're in a scenario where you need to take your headset with you on the go for computer use.

    I'm just after testing these headset for the first time. I must say I'm quite disappointed.
    Cons:
    - Firstly, they slip of your head so easily. If working at the desk, looking straight at your screens it's not an issue. But as soon as I look at my phone (tilting head down) they slip towards the forehead. Noone seems to be mentioning this but it's quite an irritating aspect.
    - Having the need to use Jabra Link 380 USB dongle is quite a limitation. Another port used on the laptop. Using it with built-in laptop bluetooth limits functionalities.
    - I have UC version (according to the model number) but I still have Microsoft Teams icon on the right headphone button. Confusing.
    - Volume control on the side (the + and - ) is not changing volume if the sound isn't playing. Minor thing, but this was not the case on other headphones. You could change volume anytime you wanted. Also, each press i hear the voice 'Battery medium, two devices connected' but that's not doing anything else. Again, that press is not doing anything (not changing volume).
    - Tilting microphone to mute or unmute is not practical. Tapping on a side would be better.
    - My colleague couldn't tell quality difference through teams between these and Plantronics C3210 in terms of pure audio quality (not talking about noise elimination).
    Pros:
    - Connects to both laptop and phone like a charm. Prioritizes devices as expected (intuitive).
    - Comfortable, as long as you don't tilt your head.
    - Folds nicely and is quite portable to carry.
    Unfortunately, I am returning mines.

    Omg in your open office test the mic is really cutting your speech. This is unacceptable

    Mine is a big head. This headset in pics look small. Does this suit bigger heads as well?

      We have not I read on Reddit that users were able to use them on ubuntu however it’s not directly supported by Jabra but I’m sure it will work either using the dongle or the direct Bluetooth but may be limited for what you can do with it

    Noice cancel decent, better than many, but the mic sucks...less distortion than most but too much for me.

      Thanks for watching. You could also consider using any headset of your choice with the mic quality you like then add neep.com noise canceling software to get the best of both worlds.

    It's not fair. Test with airpod pro2

      Trust me, Airpod Pro2 will sound like hot garbage too.

      In regards to mic quality there would be no difference between gen 3 and Airpods Pro 2 unfortunately 😥

      @@HeadsetAdvisor really 😮, I think that airpod pro2 can reduce more noise. Airpod pro2 can reduce more noise than Sony wh1000xm4.

      @@AungMyat-yj1eo maybe more than Sony XM4 but not the Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex. Airpods or XM4 won't compare to this Jabra headset for calls and meetings.

      Definitely agree hard to take our camera mic wireless up to 100 feet away, and our camera mic has almost no noise cancellation and has no speakers. But agree.

    The price is super high, I would rather buy Bose NC 700.
