ASICS Gel-Nimbus 25 is a maximalist, highly cushioned trainer with a gentle rocker. It’s not the softest max-cushioned trainer on the market nor is it the most energetic but it’s still a supremely comfortable trainer (as long as you size up or get the wide version because it has a very narrow toe box).
Version 25 uses the brand new FF Blast+ Eco midsole foam. It feels firmer than the Nimbus 24 but it has more cushioning and stability thanks to the increase in midsole stack height and width. The redesigned outsole results in smoother transitions and better durability.

I tried on several of the newest max cushion runners including Nikes invincible run 3, NB FF X More, Hoka’s and Saucony triumph 20. This was the most comfortable for a wide footer. These are not narrow or uncomfortable whatsoever. I just bought a pair! I fit a true to size no wide pair needed. 10/10

I concur. Nimbus 25 (2E) has become my most comfortable shoe in 2023 for recovery run and walking .
I enjoy it more than ultraboost light 23 .
I really like nimbus 25 that i end up buying a second pair of Nimbus 25 at 40% discount.

Believe it or not, I still run on Asics of 10+ years ago. As I am a slow runner due to my age (72 now), Asics seems to last forever. I do my daily run less than 5K and the shoes don't hurt me at all even after 10+ years. I see no reason to buy a new pair. Asics deserves its durability reputation. It lasts forever if you are not a fast runner or run tons of KMs. But if one day, I decide to buy a new Asics, this Nimbus 25 should be the one for an old guy like me.

The shoes is seems great, can’t wait to try them on.
The T-shirt that you are wearing while running is awesome too, is it also from asics too? May I know the name/model of it please, thanks 😊

Sustainable synthetic plastic upper mesh wrapping your feet can breath 3 over 5 and that makes shoe an oven for the feet even in spring season. I experienced it in a week. Pricey for an oven. Asics Gel Nimbus 25.

I tried these and the Nova 3 TR on and prefer the comfort in these better. However I didn't buy a pair because the outsole rubber didn't appear durable. It's soft but how long will the shoes last? The rubber appears softer and thinner than all other models and the flatness might make the shoes slippy on wet ground. I'm near where you're at in the world and it rains fairly often so I need shoes with good traction. Thought I'd wait for reviews after 200 miles before I buy. My N24 lasted 300+ miles before selling them off and it still showed little wear on the outsole. That's what I love Asics for - longevity.

I have 290 miles on my pair barely any wear going strong , and actually feels better than new. That is my experience so far!

I was disappointed when I went to a shoe store to get the new model of the nimbus. I have recently found that high cushion shoes actually contribute to my knee pain. More cushion doesn't mean better. I really wish they would have made a new model of shoe instead of changing one that I've been wearing for years. I need to find a replacement

    • @sko547

I completely agree! My calves and knees are worn out in these. It's like running in soft sand. Gel-Nimbus was my go to running shoe. Sadly not anymore.

I hate that they added so much cushion to these shoes. Nimbus was my go to shoe. As a 250 lb plus runner, they were perfect for me. Now they feel like I'm jogging in soft sand. The pain in my calves makes them unbearable. Can someone suggest a less cushioned Asics model?

I just tried on the size 47 (us12.5) and the seller said I would need half a size bigger but the problem is that 47.5 size doest not exist. I wonder if wide version of 47 would give more toe room..

I tried both regular and wide, and the wide didn’t seem to have any more actual width, maybe just a little bit more volume if anything. Unfortunate, but at least the upper is stretchy.

Hey Brandon, during Nov and Dec I posted a question (in comments) on 2 videos, plus I emailed my question 2 times-tho all 4 communications were ignored. And meanwhile, I am drawn to other running shoe channels where the owner interacts with viewers thru comments, plus viewers interact with one another-and there's a feeling of community. Hope to see that here one day.

Hi there! Issue here is that we are a team of ±12 and who writes the reviews is not who posts them on RUclips.
We'll try ways to be more responsive.
As a curiosity, what email address did you send your question to?
