I was always a nimbus guy, but took up the Novablast 3 this year and loved them so much I got a second pair for all my easy/recovery days as well as long runs, but the nimbus 25 might be on deck for my next max cushion shoe. I love how asics continues the spirit of the Nimbus as a highly cushioned neutral trainer, but modernizing it with latest tech in cushioning :)

    Well, after being less-than-blown-way by the Invincible Run 3, I could not resist the Gel-Nimbus 25 and I'm very impressed. I may even like it more than the More v4. The plushness and comfort of the upper is something to truly behold. The step-in comfort is the best I've ever felt in a running shoe - no, make it ANY shoe. As for the ride, it's not soft and bouncy like the Invincible Run 2 or as smooth and rolling as More v4, but it's got its own thing that's very nice. It's a bit firmer but in a balanced way so that your feet and legs are protected from the impact.
    It feels and rides lighter than it looks or its weight. I don't like to go over 8 miles with the IR2, IR3, More v4, and SC Trainer due to their weight and this one weighs just about the same but feels lighter and more streamlined through the gait cycles. I've only done one 5-mile run on it so far but I think I can easily go on 10+ mile runs with this. For one, it's just so comfortable around your feet and the ride is uniquely pleasant. ASICS hit it out of the park with this one.

    My hunches is Nimbus 25 will become the leisure wear of 2023, beating the likes of adidas ultraboost, as the winner of comfort sneaker of the year. There is a huge market for this segment, and not everyone is running but almost everyone is walking. FF Blast+ feels so good on foot, but the durability must be diligently addressed. I foresee the future iterations will be concentrated on aesthetic to fulfill the demand in the leisure wear market. It will be a good start for Asics with Nimbus 25 to capture the leisure wear market.

    Very interesting. I recall a some years ago when a couple of other shoe companies (Saucony and Brooks I believe) went to 8MM drops on some of their shoes and Hoka came on the scene, Asics doubled down on their commitment to high drop shoes. Well, here we are years later and what a change they've made now with a max cushioned shoes and and 8MM drop Nimbus. Makes sense though. In my current Sat morning run group (60+ runners), Brooks, Saucony and Hoka are the dominated shoes you'll find being worn. Asics has fallen behind, although I myself just bought a pair of Glideride 3s and love them so far. Interested to see what they''ll do with the Kayano next go round.

      @raybadudu787 Год назад

      @@chocolatechow7697 here are a couple of personal and subjective reasons why:
      • I found myself liking higher drop shoes. More v4 only has a 4mm drop.
      • I also have a wider midfoot and the fresh foam sidewalls gave me blisters. The tongue isn’t gusseted and finding a good lockdown was hard for me. The “N” logo is a harder plastic to provide structure, but it ended up hurting my foot when I tried tightening the laces for a better lockdown.
      • I know NB advertised this as the softest FF they’ve made, but it felt blocky to me and I think it’s because of the giant stack. I have the 1080v10’s and enjoyed the FF much more in that one.
      Those are just my opinions so take it or leave it! I ended up buying Novablast 3’s as a do-it-all shoe and I couldn’t be happier.

    • @chocolatechow7697
      @chocolatechow7697 Год назад +1

      @@raybadudu787 Thanks for your detailed answer ! Blister alone is good enough reason for you not to like More V4. My feet are long but narrow, so V3 fits me fine.

    Yes to Nimbus 25! I am much more excited for Nimbus 25 than SuperBlast. This will now compete with New Balance FreshFoam More v4. Used nimbus in the start of my running journey because I liked the wider fit and was solid, but became more narrow and weird. Switch over to Saucony (speed and Triumph). Have tried Novablast, but to me it suits more a heelstriker, which I’m not. I prefer speed 3.
    But I will try nimbus 25 because even when I like Triumph 20, it went from 8 to 10 mm and 8 is a sweetspot for me.

    The Cumulus 24 felt great walking around in store but as soon as I started running it was bottoming out for me at the front even though I'm only 150lbs and so it's now collecting dust as it was too harsh on my legs. Sounds like the Nimbus 24 had the same issue, glad to hear that's no longer the case. It also looks a lot better which is always a plus. So this daily trainer now has more stack height then NBs max cushion More V4? I guess we know where shoes are going this year. Comparison between the Nimbus 25 and More V4 would be cool.

I don't want any high-end model like meta speed, rather one that has good suspension for daily comfortable walking and doing all kinds of outdoor sports activities). As I looked, there are two models that would most suit what I want, and that is either Gel Nimbus 25 or Novablast 3. I don't know which one to choose. I heard that Nimbus 25 is better overall. My current sneakers are Novablast 1. The only thing that bothers me about them is that they don't seem that soft and sometimes quite unstable. That's why I thought I'd try the Nimbus model. Superblast is more of a performance shoe, this is a soft cushy bouncy daily trainer. So, it depends on what you’re looking for.

      @Raul D. Stating It's purely on price as indicated above, in addition to the Novablast 3s being a lot of running channels daily trainer of the year candidate... Not to mention, I own the triumph 19 and 20, More V4, Pegasus 39s(which I hate), for daily training/easy runs and the 3s are the best to date.

      @BOGDAN SERBAN They are easy run shoes. I would not race any distance in the 3s. Currently running in the NB 1080 v12s for zone 2 running and like them as well.

      I dunno if this helps, but I run in Metaspeed Sky's in 12.5. I tried these in 12 and 12.5 and literally couldn't tell the difference. Even sole to sole they looked exactly the same. So they match the Sky's
