Im not an overpronator but have stability issues in my left ankle. Having not run in a stabilty shoe before i decided to try these. They are so much more stable than any neutral shoe I own. They keep me guided and my ankles feel locked in. They really help with the pain i usually have. Compared to the Nimbus 25 they are miles stabler.
I agree... I'm more confident with my ankles with this. I have fractured my right one twice. And to be able to run Half Marathon despite of that is such a grand feel.
I'm a big fan of the Asics Gel Kayano and have been wearing them for about 7 years now. I do overpronate, my question is I keep hearing this is a great shoe for training. If this is a shoe for training, what shoe should I be wearing for race day? I manly run half marathons and 10 milers, thanks.
I am getting my order today! We are going to see how all of these going to come together for my overpronating feet. Good reviews! Thanks for putting the numbers on the screen along with other spec.
Update: it did not work. This is not a stability shoes and I do not need a shoes that makes my feet to transition from pronation quickly. If it was possible, I would have done it on my own. You know?
My question at this point is this. I found the 29's for around 105 euros and the 30's for about 140. Is this difference enough to justify going for the 30's or I'll be OK with the 29's?
I am concerned that so many reviews are touting this Kayano as a “neutral friendly” stability shoe, written by people who normally wear a neutral shoe. Does that mean that it’s less “stability friendly”, leaning towards neutrality? I need to wear stability shoes, so before I fork out my “hard earned” I need to know that this will work for me!
I am a overpronater and I got the 30 (my size) and I am sending it back. #1 it is short like the 29. #2 It felt like a neutral, not stability. I felt like it is another option for neutral people. It was a NO-yano for me. I'd like to know what others think, but your observations are correct in my opinion.
@q20a08 The foam was tall, but not that soft. Yes, exactly how you described it. Stability features are not there. It does not take care of my heel striking, and somehow miss guides my foot. It does not give you that grounded and stable feeling like the Kayano 28 does. It is in the middle, it is not nimbus, and it is not kayano. It is a hit and miss to me. It did not feel like the shoe wanted to cooperate with my feet. This is not the Kayano I know. I hope this gives you some idea.
Its similar in feel to the kayano lite but a bit more sturdy feeling. I'm a bigger guy and I'm not bottoming this foam out. I also don't feel the shoe tilting the foot out, it just feels sturdy.
30s are completely different shoes, I thought the 29s were bad but geez. 28s were the best they don't need to fix something that's not broken. They feel clumsy, the mid foot is so uncomfortable gave my foot pain and felt like it changed my gait. Their worse one ever.
Hi sir, i have been wearing kayano 29 extra wide and found it awesome, if i want to upgrade to kayano 30 should i go ahead with extra wide or base size (someone told mw since 30 is already bydefault wide )than i need not to go ahead with extra wide version. kindly suggest me.
hello i have a question i brought some cumulus 24s they were really comfortable however i felt like my foot was falling / rolling to the outside. supernation/ over supination. i feel like this is because the shoe midsole is really soft and as i walk even worse on carpet my ankle just feels like its rolling outwards and im having to try hard to stop it. i have really weak ankles and poor balance anyway. i have a pair of nike huaraches which dont do this but are uncomfortable i wanted to buy some acics but not sure which to go for ? have you herd of this before and can you give me any advice on it? thanks

you referred to 29 or 30 ? I have overpronation in my right leg only. Do you recommend going with 29 now ?
Which model is more stable,
29 or 30?
Thanks Josh, another great review! Definitely my next pair of shoes.
this is super helpful as someone new to running shoes!!

Which one do you have? 29 or 30?
@@maiaastari borh... I don't like 30
@@lawoman608 so is it better 29 than 30?
@@maiaastari yes so much better. Bit short, also very warm, good for cold weather. 30 was/is useless to me. 28 was the best.
Left Index toe extreme pain on the 30 compared to 29,28,27 . Always same size purchased over the years . Disappointed

Mate would you say it’s a good shoe for walking if you overpronate or is it too high and soft?
I’m a neutral runner, and I’ve snagged a pair of Kayano 30 for the first time. I believe the overhaul of this shoe makes it more neutral friendly.
More Stable? Don't think so😊.Good review though Josh as always
Thank you very much for this video. How could I know if I should change my Kayanos because they are old enough?

@@lawoman608 similar experience as yours. Did you end up finding good stability shoes? ? I need to get new ones asap

I always say if you can, try them on in person from a local runner store.
