A little floral pick - a sprig of ivy stuck in the whole left by the broken "one" on that statue...and you'd never know it was a broken "15"...!

Love your style in decorating you have so much beautiful vintage items ! As for I love going to the bins I search for blankets quilts beddings. I love old style dishes tea cups & plates . And I collect bunnies / rabbits ! When my kids friends come over they say they feel like they are in a antique store & want to shop lol 😅 , I take that as a compliment ❤
One of my dear friends home is just like that, it's so fun to see all of her amazing treasures and boy would I love to have a little of everything she has. I can only imagine how beautiful your home must be, it sounds charming.

No to the bins. Our donations are treated like trash and when thrown in bins and broken, they become trash. Loved how tou styled your finds. The little ruffled glass dishes were my favs today.

I could just kick myself. I passed up a measuring "tape" like you made into a star on your shelf display because I wasn't sure what to do with it but I liked it! Now I see how you styled it and I could kick myself for not getting it!! Love you style!

I went to the nearest bins to me last week and the first thing I found was worth the trip. Three rusty
metal rabbit cut outs with little stands and steel wool “tails. Perfect for the garden. I should have stopped there but …nope. I did find some unique things and had 37 pounds of stuff!

East Liverpool (where your new platter is from) is a small town in northeastern Ohio (near where I used to live). East Liverpool used to be the "Pottery Capital of the USA."

I went to the bins for the first time years ago when l was in Nashville. It was quite an experience. I found some one of a kind items but stayed there way too long in order to get them. You did pretty well considering what they had to offer. I would have gotten the flower print and landscape painting next to the floral print. You managed to rescue a few old items from the landfill, so that's a positive.
I did notice lots of people camped out there but I could only be there for a short time plus it was so hot inside. I hate that I missed some good things that I saw after I got home but overall it was a fun trip. Thank you for watching!

She's broken but still precious and there's a lesson in that. 😊 The old hymnbooks are a treasure. I still play out of books like that. Love the big basket too! Can't wait to see how you style it. ❤😊

I've never been to the bins. The nearest ones to where I lived in TN was about hour or more away. But there's a couple here near where we are in FL about 30-45min, and i was told they were pretty good so I'm excited to try them out!!😁 Ahhh a accordian rack!! Wow.. I've looked for one for so long and have had no luck! I'm considering ordering from amazon, but really would rather have an old one! I would have gotten the old wood Ironing board! I saw someone use one for a shelf.. had that primitive look to it. And saw one hanginh one on a laundry room wall. The frames are nice, I'd change the art. I really like the bookend. Yesss..i love old silverware & serving ware! I have a pretty nice size collection of both, some really old & not so old gorgeous pieces❤ I love baby spoons, tomatoe spoons, pickle forks.. all the odd pieces. You could stick a small stem or piece of greenery, floral, or baby's breath In the hole where is broken maybe 🤷♀️ Google lens the ABC bowl and get some info on it! I love the little hooked rug or pad.. very pretty! I don't have any hooked pieces & they're just so pretty! Spray it with oxy stadium remover & dawn detergent, scrub lightly with a brush, repeat if needed. Also if you have the dawn spray for stuck on foods, it works great on stained fabric, i use it on tough or greasy stains on clothes & my white sneakers! I love the pit berry wreath too! Its different! My FIL collected old metal signs & hung them on his outside building! Most of the books I've collected aren't anything I'm interested in reading, i collect them for their age and hot they look also, just for decor only lol😄 I think i actually have one of the popular science books too! Oh wow you found some bibles & hymnals!! That's awesome! I always look for both! I was raised in church where the used hymnals too. I have old ones, but i found one that's not that old i use to take the sheets out of for decor. Im planning to take a Christmas song & blot it with a damp tea bag.. I bought a small cross stitch ring I'm going to glue it to and hang a couple of the bells everybody uses as Christmas, from a piece of jute.. it makes a cute but old looking piece of Christmas decor! You can use whatever embellishments you want of course. I want a white bible to add to my collection! That last one is awesome!! Love the pictures in it❤ I have a small collection of old sheet music & thin piano books that were left in the piano bench i was given! I like to find more. I just have mine together on the end of a book shelf. I found 2 pictures that i actually got for the frames, but the pictures were that shiny foil look like the one you got. They were pretty pictures, i just wish they were regular pictures or paintings, not sure i like the foil?? 🤷♀️ How do you feel about it? The ornate frames are beautiful!! I'd grab them too! The basket is nice! You found some great pieces!! Love where you put that frame! If you hang the frames you can use the tacky putty or double sided tape to hang the piano book.. tape the book together so it don't hang open. Love the shelf! Goody boxes sound fun!! I definitely like the curated idea better, Instead of mystery. Thad frame looks really good with the piece hanging in it!❤ Michelle you know i love your gorgeous home, all your beautiful treasures sand how you style everything.. its all just gorgeous to me!! A friend and I went to the bins outlet once. We didn't find much but it was an adventure! The score of the day wad a Monkeys cd! And it plays just fine!

Your dish with the alphabet, is a baby dish. Nice find! You can clean your chair pads. Just rub in some Dawn dish soap. Let it sit for about an hour, then rinse and dry flat. I would not recommend putting them in the washer.

I LOVE going to the bins. It's always a mystery trip, never knowing what I will find. I have found so much Christmas and Halloween decor. And I always challenge myself to look beyond the paint and minor dings. As an Etsy and Ebay reseller, I've found many items to sell. My happiest find are vintage quilts, which I wash, sell, use in my home or use to create fun crafts. I live in North Florida and our Goodwill Outlet (bins) charges $0.99 for wares and $1.79 for clothes. We don't get books any more, wich makes me sad. Love your channel. I wish I found that sleeve ironing board. I would have cleaned it up and used it for ironing, or take it apart and used the bigger piece as a charcuterie board.
You have a great eye and I wish I had seen some old quilts. I knew I should have grabbed that iron board but I walked away and forgot to go back. I felt like if I had stayed a little bit longer I might have found some more things but overall it was a fun trip. Thank you so much for watching.
I wish I had a Goodwill bins near where I live but the nearest one is two hours away so I have never been but I would not mind digging as long as I had gloves on. You found some great treasures and I love that piece in the oval frame and that frame looks great on your table vignette.

Oh yes, everything we are and have is because of Jesus!!! I love that and it's so true!!! I bet you were shocked to walk in the goodwill and see all the bins. It was fun but nothing I could do often. It was so hot in there too, ughh....after awhile I just had enough but Easton was having a ball digging for all the treasures. I was thankful to find some Bibles and hymnals, always a favorite!!! I have a huge vintage basket just the one you found! I always wondered what exactly it was for, too! 😂 I’ve used it for blankets and stuffed animals (I have kids 😉).

Our bins in KC aren’t great compared to some I see shared online but I’ve found treasures still and it’s better than items going to the landfill. Maybe a tiny birthday candle would fit in the hole of the angel. She is cute.

Michele you found some treasures for sure thrifting and at the bins. We have only went to the bins 1 time but the people there were so rude and pushy and like you said when a new bin came out they would push around you and act so crazy so we haven’t been back but you got some good things. The big basket looks like a bassinet I had with our daughter with the braided band. It just sat on a base with wheels. It had handles so you could just pick up the basket by itself. Yours is still just perfect as a large basket. Love all the books and Bible and the restaurant ware platter. I think the idea of a curated box of goodies for sale is a great idea. The bins were certainly crazy and I think I stood back in disbelief when they all started running. Crazy for sure. I kept wondering what the security police officer was doing there but now I know. I thought the basket might be a bassinet, but I thought it might look good with some plants inside. Haven't found a place for it yet but I'm gonna keep trying. LOL!!! HAPPY FRIDAY One and All. Yes, I like the bins, you have to dig, but, that is the thrill, and I wear gloves. The people who run like crazy in my finite mind, I think they are resellers. At least the bins are trying to keep a lot of stuff out of the landfills. NICE HAUL. I would put them on delicate in cold water and lay in sun to dry. LOVE IT! STTB

I bought the Josef dolls for my granddaughter for her birthdays. Sadly they had a house fire and they were destroyed. I also love old hymnal and Bibles. I found an old white Bible with a zipper and was dedicated inside in 1962. It makes me so sad to find them in thrift stores.
Oh that hurts my heart that they were lost in a house fire, oh how sad. I do love collecting the hymnals and Bibles and like you it makes me sad that someone would discard them....I think that is why I love bringing them home with me. I'm glad you love them too!
Try soaking the chair pad in borax. Leave it for several hours. I have had quite a bit success using this product. I love old linens so this is my go to method to remove stains.

Yolanda, I understand and I don't think it is something I could do often. I hated seeing all the trash, I'm sure they realize that some of that stuff no one would ever want. They should throw it away.
When you say a curated vintage box, you mean sort of like a 'treasure box' with vintage treasures? I would absolutely love that!! What a great idea! We don't have bins in Michigan, that I know of, but I don't think I would like dealing with the people. I imagine they can get rude and pushy. I like what you got- especially the frames and basket. I think the idea of curated boxes is fabulous 😊

It's amazing what you can find in the bins among all the junk. I'm not aware of any bins in southern New England where I live. You found a few good things, but I'm on the fence about them.
There was a lot of trash, which I thought was crazy to have there. If they had thrown that away it might have been more enjoyable to dig around. Overall I was excited to have found what I did. Thank you for watching dear friend and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

@@YVYOU Michelle, I know I can count on you and your prayer warriors, a local family in our area, they actually live within a couple of minutes walking distance from me, they have suffered a terrible loss/tragedy, a week ago their theee precious daughters were in a horrific car accident, the oldest,17 lost her life and the middle,16 is in the hospital with a severe brain injury she is in critical condition, the youngest 13 sustained minor injuries, their dad is a preacher at a local church they are a wonderful God fearing family! Please join together in prayer for this family and Reese their middle daughter. Funeral services for Raelyn is this Saturday they really need God’s peace and comfort upon them. 🙏 they actually walked by my house all the time and walked by the morning of the accident, they were laughing and talking they had their hair down which normally is up in buns and such both of their hair was almost to their feet, beautiful girls!! This has shaken me to my core!!!

I went to the bins in my area once and it just wasn’t for me. The people were rude and acting like they were giving away gold for free the way they were attacking those new bins and shoving each other around. I was a little shocked to say the least so I left! You found some nice pieces.
Lisa when they brought the new bins out there was a security cop that was standing there because the people went nuts. All I could do was stand back and watch. I just kept looking through the other bins, I kinda had them all to myself! It was crazy but still kinda fun. You always find so many wonderful treasures!!

I'm glad I got the doll too and there have been so many wonderful ideas on what to do to fix it. I'm excited about the vintage boxes and hope to share those soon. On stacking my bowls I use different things, sometimes stack blocks of wood or other small dishes, but those cupcake stands work well too. I hope that helps.

Great finds today! Yes I would have bought the broken little 15 girl. A cream colored poinsettia or some greenery in front of her and she would be adorable at Christmas time.I have never been to the bins before, I don't think the goodwill near us does that.Have a great weekend!

I used to go to the bins all the time. Found and sold some great stuff. But I don't go much anymore, people are so pushy and rude.
The bins looked a lot different than the first time I went and when I seen all the people run and push and shove I was kinda in shock...I just stood back and watched then I had free reign to look through all the other bins. I wish I had seen better stuff but didn't see that much. I did see people that were camped out there, and that just isn't for me.
Ok, it’s getting a little weird, I have the exact same hooked chair pad, the metal pour/thing and just bought one of those accordion hooks today! 😊

I really don’t like digging through bins. Would rather shop from shelves. I don’t understand why they would throw glass items in there as we saw they get broken. I’d be afraid someone would get cut. I have that whole desert set like those little crystal dishes. It’s a larger fluted bowl and 6 little dishes. It belonged to my mother. I wonder if some rug cleaner might get those chair mats clean?
It broke my heart to see the dishes broken, and like you I can't imagine why they would throw them in there. It was fun but so much trash in my opinion. How fun that you have the whole set of the dishes, they are so pretty and a treasures since they were your Mommas. Thank you for the idea on the rug cleaner I will certainly try that.
Use some clay to repair the number one. Then paint just numbers alike.

Don't buy broken things myself
People are ridiculous when the new bins are rolled out, they grab everything without even checking sizes, one guy was grabbing all tennis shoes. The resellers are awful n rude. Our Goodwill bins they will price some items per piece like the bigger items like heavy comforters, Hugh cat tree, rug etc

I understand completely, I think my sister was ready to go the minute we got there. I'm not sure I could do it often, I just didn't understand the bins being full of trash.
I watch Julie Thrifts and where she lives the bins dont seem like the one you visited. I thought yours was really junky and unorganized…like a trash bin,lol. You probably have to go in with a mindset of digging but if it bothers you, Id say dont go there. Thrifting should be fun.
I watch Julie too and yes hers always looks so much better than ours. It was sad to see so much trash. I wish ours were more like hers. It was fun finding a few fun treasures but nothing I would want to do all the time.
