I’ve been running these pedals now for almost 2 years and they are fantastic overall, like you said the build quality is amazing. The throttle spring failed for me after 14 months or so and this seems to be a common issue but like you, I wanted a firmer spring anyway. There is an online spring store that has a direct replacement that is the correct size but firmer spring and it makes the throttle perfect. (Lee Spring part no: LC 091K 07 M) Additionally there is a company in NZ who sells a spring kit if you want to run springs in your brakes instead of the elastomers. These really give the brake a more consistent and solid feel. These two spring mods really take the kit to the next level. Regarding the knob to adjust the gain for the brake, it would have made more sense for this to be something that you could plug in and mount on your rig somewhere. I know there are a few owners who have DIY’d that and makes it more usable. Setting it to the max spot that you will actually brake to does give you more resolution in the braking output.
We worked with Simtrecs to make a better damper on the brake. The one you have is their v1 version. Your review is of their v1 version which is well over 1 year old. Also the fitting on the clutch pedal potentiometer is now fixed on the pedal so you won’t have issues of it coming off. The new ones are a fixed damper and the adjustment level is made via an arrangement of mounting holes on the brake pedal. Just like how you adjust the throttle stiffness. So now they are perfectly smooth.
There's a company that adds rumble motors with some 3D printed parts to VRS, VX-Pro and other brand's pedals. Have you ever tried them? People say elastomers feels more like a real brake than a spring. Probably springs are faster, they don't relax and are consistent.
I’ve had these for two years. I put an aftermarket spring on the throttle that gives more resistance and Manon springs for the brake. They have been flawless. They’re a set it and forget it deal, super dependable. My only critique so far are the small connectors for the pedals, especially the clutch, as well as a frightenly thin USB cable
I live mine, had for about a year, no adjustable brake dampener. I went with Barry Manon (MRP) springs and they’re great for trail braking. As far as the dial on the throttle, it’s more for making the pedal softer or harder. I’ve got many profiles so easy to change
Simtrecs have always been my favorite looking pedals. At these price ranges of course the feeling and performance is the absolute priority, but the biggest part of users that spend these amounts of money also look for something that looks like the real deal. Less anodized colors, rgb, etc.
I was in the same position and could have gone either way. SRP’s newest models might have a slight edge I think. I went Simtrecs. Both are great options.
Dan, I did in fact break the cord off my clutch. It might have been user error..we will never know. Simtrecs replaced it. Service wasn’t amazing to be honest. I do love the pedals regardless. It’s pretty much the only flaw I’ve identified after a year. I would also extend the clutch and brake cord length or change the type of cord altogether.
i'm building a sim rig using my f1 real cockpit. which one can u reccommend me only for formula cars? this or Heuskinveld ultimate? or another pedals set?
Love my Simtrecs best pedals I've used not being simucube. The adjustments alone are worth the money. With the brake knob you can go from rally to gt yo formula pressures in seconds no need to go in the software.
I set my pedal software like I want and move the knob to what I'm driving takes 5secs to do. I tried the springs from NZ and went back to the elastomers springs don't feels good on these and they make tons of noise.
Dan Suzuki pedal review, yeeey. 1000 Euros, noooo. Hahaha. You tested both the Simgrade VX-Pro and the Simagic P1000 with the haptic motors, which one would you prefer? The spring design of the Simgrade with a firm throttle looks so appealing, but you said the haptics in the Simagic are really good. But I don't fully trust Simagic to be on par with the VRS or Simgrade in terms of break feel irregarding of the haptics, and heard the throttle is really light. Sorry for spamming you with pedal questions, but I ordered my wheelbase and rim already and can't decide on the pedals, so many options, appreciate your videos and opinion. If I wait for your Simagic or P1 Mistral reviews, I have no pedals until then.
I don’t understand why SimTrecs sent Dan the older version of the pedals for review - especially when their target audience more than likely knows who Dan is.
@@simaddict6676 In the review, he did not have them mounted on his rig, which likely indicates he did not recently use them. Also, in his video about the SimGrade Thera---which is over a year old---he said this to a comment asking where the Simtrecs review is: "... wrote the Script already - just need to find the time to actually film it".
@@ula1568 yeah read in a comment that he’s had them for two years and it took him a while to get the review out. So I guess take this review with a grain of salt, because this isn’t the product anyone has received for over a year, and no one will ever receive in the future.

@Sephv1, I followed your advice and ordered the throttle spring (already had NZ Brake Springs installed). How did you remove the throttle spring?
These and the Nuo Evo1 are probably the two most interesting pedals from smaller manufacturers out there.

Yes - I’ve had these pedals for about 2 years :)
Can you change those parts on the V1 easily?
@@Hans82962Yes, easy to swap, but brake won't have the 3 holes to vary damping.
I've had these for two years. They're excellent.
I have them for a few years already, NEVER let me down and i still love them!

which spring did you get for the throttle? looking for something firmer myself

I was in between those and the SRP. Very happy with my SRP pedals. Been over 6 months now and it’s been awesome with the best feeling brakes so far
I was in the same position and could have gone either way. SRP’s newest models might have a slight edge I think. I went Simtrecs. Both are great options.
Also on SRPs, I absolutely love them
Have had these for a year great pedals no issues. Wonder if Gsi will produce a pedal set
sick video as always! the RC shock shoud use silicone oil so you can swap that forsome heavier oil to get more dampening!
How do These compare to Heuskinveld ultimate?
Bring us the full review on the Simgrade VX PRO DAN, Pleasee!

I'll add the baseplate is perfect. The dampers are magic
But isnt changing one value in the software just way more conveniant then climbing under the rig to change the knob? 😅

@DanSuzuki looks like they sent the old version you don't get the damper adjustments on the brake anymore.
I also don't like the connection on the clutch but it can't be taken off anymore on the more recent version
That x-29 in background 🫠 would love to see it up close
This or SRP ??
They are on Sale for 1243€ inside EU
Wann kommt denn das Review zu den P1000? 👀
I love these pedals. But I can’t use them in socks. The brake HURTS my foot after 20/30 minutes lol
Love mine, especially with Barry’s spring kit. They are jewelry for my feet.
Still…I am saving for Active Pedals
What? Barry has a spring kit?
These pedals look nice, but for a lot less money, I’d still go with Heusinkveld Sprints. It’s hard to beat Heusinkvelds reputation and quality imo.
Meh ... Sprints are too expensive for what you're getting.
@@DanSuzuki100%. Sprints were good 5 years ago. Nowadays they are just way overpriced.

I would get the Simagic! Put the yellow clutch spring into the throttle then it feels great!
@@DanSuzuki Thanks for the super fast response! So I guess I need to get the clutch then, as it acts as a throttle upgrade kit in a way :D
I think newer versions actually come with a stronger throttle spring in the bag - but you might have to ask your favorite distributor :D
Nice shirt...
Wow they have some great ideas but some parts are meh as you said already in vid.
Prettiest? Maybe for making some burgers😂. I am sure they are good though
wich is better Simtreck or SRP?
X2 wich one Dan????

Halo bruder 😂. I have one simple question. P2000 or srp ? 😂
Too late, I have a srp. So happy with it
Wheres the chinese version made of cast 6061 for us poor sim racers.
I can't afford them🙃
Overpriced as usual...dam
