      Hey there guys, how cool is that?! Thanks for your comment!!! To be honest, I just rewatched it and I didn't even give it enough praise...i LOVE this pedal set! It's really an amazing product and I can tell that you have put a lot of thought and work into it! I would buy it again but since it's not breaking, it's your fault that I don't have to 😜

      @realVRS Hey again, I actually took my time to think about this, hence the late answer. If you guys would offer something like simagic does with their haptic pedal reactors, that would be insane as an addon!
      Even though I actually love the looks and don't mind too much about the slip of the pedal faces, it would be great to have optional ones that are slightly textured and a bit grippier.
      Another thing that would be great as an addon is to maybe have the option to put an elastomer behind the brake spring, to have a bit more of a dampened feel at the end of the brake. But that's a little bit of a double edged sword since I actually chose the VRS pedals over others because it doesn't rely on elastomers or other working parts that might fade over time.
      Regarding adjustability: having something like thumb screws in order to adjust the pedal faces or the throw of the pedal arms would make life a little easier as well, so I could make my adjustments on the fly without the need of tools.
      If you guys already have something in the making, please feel free to reach out to me. I'd be happy to test your products!

    This video is absolutely brilliant! I have been putting off my VRS pedal review because all I have to say is "they are fantastic!" but you have covered everything so well! Except the lack of racing in socks, I only wear shoes with them about 25% of the time, for special occasions 😂

      Oh wow, getting feedback from another content creator means a lot to me, thank you so much Michael. And yeah haha, they are simply fantastic, I could have made a short about it. I actually never race without shoes or socks. It's just...dunno...I simply can't 😄 so what are your special occasions then? Thanks again mate!

    The clutch is one of the best part. It has a nice two stage action that I have never experienced before. I thought the throttle is too light but after a while, I think VRS philosophy of being an instant pedal works. I had to readjust how to drive but its not an issue since using the HE Ultimate +.
    Also get the HRS Pedal Faces as they are a must and the people at that business are amazing. They really redo the pedal faces on all brands and make them miles better than before.
    That is the reason to go to VRS. I tried the wheelbase two years ago and have been chasing down my DD2 to replicate it and it has never gotten there. Bit the bullet (it's actually cheaper to go down this route) and everything was night and day. You do have to relearn a new ecosystem but if you can't figure out how to put a rig together or build a PC, you should relearn and do your research on the Mige and OSW line.

      @CKSimRacing  5 месяцев назад

      Hey there, sorry I have missed your comment! Yeah I have also glimpsed over to the clutch but this is an upgrade for some other day 😀
      I have seen the HRS faces and I think I'll give them a go since the standard faces are really smooth (depending on footwear). But even with my grippiest shoes they are quite smooth. I know, this is nitpicking on a fantastic product. So you switched to the VRS base? I'm not 100% sure yet whether to go for this one or the SC2pro...

      @@CKSimRacing You can analyze from the fence, but honestly you have to go over it and get some scuffs on the jeans. Everyone tries to experience and live off of glam reviews and I find some are useful and some are not. Being experience in different fields, you have to suffer financial setbacks to ever experience it or try to experience it. This stuff takes years and social media just makes you believe everything happens instantly.
      Rant aside, if you search hard enough there the comments and maybe reddit and discord, there are people who own both and you find that those who have NO agenda say, save the money and go VRS. That goes with ActivePedal as well. While I have yet to try a SC2 of any sorts, I have people that I trust that state they don't like the SC2 over the original SC. I found in some few clips who try to compare them say they love the raw feeling of VRS, but somehow say oh wow SC2 OMG but kind of downplay how much the VRS punches well above it's price point. I do agree the software ability now is amazing from Simucube, but to redo a hub along with going wireless for a premium didn't seem right to me.
      There is no right or wrong, but at some point, bang for the buck and less BS will be more appealing after dealing with years spending money and experimenting with all the equipment.
      We should all be proud that variety exists, but there always is that itch to go the next step. However, at some point, you are going to find your way and see like cars, everyone's got their own way of doing things. You have to figure out what product is best for you in the end.

      @klintonkacatin Mate you actually made me change my mind. I did in fact have the VRS in scope previously but somehow was sold on the SC2. Reading your comment today made me do A LOT of research and re-watching reviews that I've already watched a few times.
      I'm going to go for the VRS base!
      Thanks again for the wake up call 🙂

      The throttle being too light is my main deterrence. This is my first racing sim setup so I have nothing to compare to but I know on my cars I prefer a slightly heavier throttle feel. Anyway you could elaborate on how light the throttle is on this one? Thanks.

    Really nice and professional review, I was expecting you to have a few thousand subs with this high quality production.
    About the pedals, I have had them for 7 months now and I couldn't be happier, it's my favorite part of my sim. The highlight for me is the amazing build quality. On the performance side, they do trail braking by themselves, it's so easy to get it right. You are very precise with them, and I love how my brake inputs when checking the telemetry are so smooth. I've gained a lot in consistency and pace with this pedals.
    The only negative aspect I have about them is when not driving race cars / in a circuit (example: ETS2 and chill driving in BeamNG). It's not nice to have to make so much force to brake in a truck or a conventional street car. I know you can lower the force necessary to do 100% of brake pressure (I do a bit), but that results in very little brake travel which is something I don't like for this scenarios.

    • @CKSimRacing
      @CKSimRacing  7 месяцев назад

      And yeah I totally agree with you in that regard. They are really sensitive and the travel of the pedal isn't all that good when simulating a more "normal" car. But that's when the blue spring comes into use I guess 🙂

    • @ZetaTJ
      @ZetaTJ 7 месяцев назад

      @@CKSimRacing I don't like the idea of constantly changing the brake springs all the time, it's very tedious for just a few moments. (And then having to go back to the red one).

    • @CKSimRacing
      @CKSimRacing  7 месяцев назад

      @ZetaTJ true, it definitely is a bit tedious. Especially when your whole rig is close to a wall and such. But if you have done it a few times, it's actually done in a matter of maybe 5 minutes, including recalibration. But tbh I wouldn't wanna do that frequently

    Great review. I know they are expensive but pair these pedals with some pedal faces from HRS, it’s a match made in heaven. I’ve never been remotely tempted to change or upgrade since I got that combination.

      @waterboxer Hey there, thanks a lot for the feedback. Haha yeah, pretty much everyone who has the VRS pedals says that they see no reason to change them anytime soon, since they are so good! I did get dinged by a huge Canada customs fee because it was declared as auto parts and not a video game controller. I do know that happened to a few people. I do enjoy the pedals and they work great. I think I’ve become a bit lazy as I just find swapping the springs and spacers too time consuming.

    I went down to the hardware store and bought a 6MM bolt with two washers and an airplane nut so at the top of the Throttle there's a space for another VRS bolt but it's not present within the throttle. Ever hear a sound like kink within where the end of the throttle spring connects to that smaller square frame stock? That had ever so slightly a bit of play in that part the way it is fixed within the frame. I tried to snug up the other bolts but the throttle spring would still make that sound because that plate is moving where it connects considering my personal spring adjustment. I didn't want the long term friction cause it only might become more loose so I placed a bolt up there and ever so slightly snugged it and now there's no play or sound or movement while working my throttle. I suggested to VRS that they ought to provide a extra bolt for this but they didn't see a need for it maybe. I asked for one and they sent me a diagram of the sleeve bolt but I was unable to find the exact bolt to match the system. The bolt I purchased though looks very nice and prevents slop or play around my desired tension adjustment. I have mine pretty loose. Great pedals!
    Superb vid! Thanx. My throttle is dead quiet now! No more play in the spring.

      Hey there, I was in the same situation as you and even though I haven't tried the HE sprints I can at least safely say that I didn't regret my purchase at all. The VRS pedals are probably the best piece of kit on my simrig and I don't see why I would exchange them. I have considered the sprints but decided against them because of the elastomer brake pedal. If the VRS pedals wouldn't exist, I would have picked the HE sprints. I hope that helps in finding a decision but you can't go wrong with either, that's for sure 🙂

    Can you tell how much travel the brake pedal has?

    • @CKSimRacing
      @CKSimRacing  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hey there, well it's hard to explain. You can always add a bit of preload by adjusting the rod. I'd recommend you the video that I've linked in the description. If you have the red spring installed, you can adjust it so that there's about 1cm of maximum travel at the stiffest setting. The blue spring has maybe about 5-7cm of travel if I had to guess it. Haven't measured it so far. But neither of both springs feels like a normal car brake pedal I'd say. Most people seem to pick the red one because it's easier to judge the brake force. I hope that kinda helps 🙂
