Hey man, thank for the video and i have a question. You have v3pedals and it has already abs vibration module, do you feel good with it or is it not good abs rumble? Do you prefer haptic, is it not enought to use original v3's own abs vibration module?
Thank you for this great detailed tutorial, will test Could you provide the values for the ABS of your generic profile (not the PCup one ;) ) (Pulse duration value) ?
Not cheating just a sensation or cue. You get cues in sensations in real cars when ABS it kicking in. It’s no more cheating than FFB telling you when you’re losing grip. Feedback like this should just be a standard buy to be more competitive
has simhub since been updated i do not see traction loss *edit* nvm i actually was able to find it once i created a new profile as then it showed me the full list of effects
@@TerriblyRacing Just an update - It took a bit to train my brain to act on feeling instead of sight , But oh yeah it works and I've noticed a great improvement.. Many thanks for the vid. sub'd and liked
I have these on order, but I'm curious if it's possible to change the frequency of the vibrations in SimHub? When I got the HF8 I completely skipped installing their software and did everything through SimHub. Can you do the same with the Simagic Haptics? I saw other videos where the Simagic software allows you to specify certain frequency for each haptic motor.
Yeah you can specify a per motor frequency. One thing you can’t do is have two effects on the same motor with 2 different frequencies. So as long as you have different effects on different pedals you can have different frequencies.
Thanks for the video mate. I love that there's a graph showing brake lock and grip loss. Would Sim Hub work for Assetto Corsa Competitizione and Dirt Rally 2? I don't play iRacing. I play ACC mostly. And I got pedals nobody has heard of - Steel GT by BJ Sim Racing. And I have no idea if I could mount Simagic's haptics on them.
Great vid! Question: is the haptic feedback dynamic? In other words, is the vibration 100% or 0%? Or, do they vibrate a little when traction is barely breaking, and a lot when you're sliding, etc?
No unfortunately they either vibrate at 100% or nothing, I think it’s because they vibrate at certain frequencies so therefore it makes it impossible to regulate the force so it’s either on or off
Sorry I have to acknowledge my last response is all true however with sim pro manager, the Simagic software, the force can be be modulated, so not sure why it doesn’t feel possible in Simhub, I will follow up
@@steelereignreinstalled SimHub today, there is granularity, you can customise how strong the feedback is and varying stages and strengths. New video coming soon!

Haven't used it since removed my 4th screen and got a VR headset. I have to figure out how I am going to display it.
Yeah you can use the Simagic haptics on other pedals just have to find a way to mount them on your pedals, you search for 3D printed mounts for your pedals and it’s not too difficult, let me know if you have any questions

Btw, in iracing specially, we should not activate abs right? I mean the fastest way to brake is without abs right? I am struggling to figure out how this is considered cheating when all they do is replicate the type of feed back a driver would get from a real car. Yes it gives you an advantage but so does a load cell.
It’s like racing on a wheel with force feedback when no one else has it. Obviously everyone else has ffb because the game gives it to everyone however, this feedback comes from simhub and it’s so useful. I wouldn’t call it down right cheating however I do believe I have an advantage

@@TerriblyRacing that’s my point it is an advantage. I have seen interviews with drivers who hate sim racing due to the lack of feed back and they don’t think they will get any use from it. I believe this will change their mind.

@@tdhitchins Just out of interest, what kind of pedals and seat do you use? I had back pain too. Was using a soft seat with a load cell brake pedal. Every time I pressed the pedal I would push myself far into the seat, which crated pain in my lower back. Couldn't race for more than 20min. As soon as I switched to a solid bucket seat (something with a fiber glass shell), my pain was gone,...and my braking got much better.
Cheers for the vid dude, glad this popped up as a suggestion. Always been curious about the pedal feedback 🍻
Happy to help!
Sim Hub must be very good with their accessories to make better racing for us. I have just a Thrustmaster TMX wheel controller and their heavy duty pedals - have had this for many years. I don't think this kind of info would help my racing - getting better. I also do not have a racing Rig and shaker motion systems. I just sit in a normal chair. Plus I don't belong to IRacing. and Just do the other STEAM SIM racing games.
So doing this kind of fine tuning of race styles to be competitive would be a mood point for me at this time. You are more on a Pro level of racing than I would ever be to do this kind of tweaking.
But, thanks for the great video and what is available to tweak things should I need to and have the elaborate hardware equipment to do so.
I like the live graph feedback with commentary.
Hey man, thank for the video and i have a question. You have v3pedals and it has already abs vibration module, do you feel good with it or is it not good abs rumble? Do you prefer haptic, is it not enought to use original v3's own abs vibration module?

@@coxyofnewp ah thanks dude, really appreciate you coming back, these haptics are sweet 👌
You can get motion?
I have these on order, but I'm curious if it's possible to change the frequency of the vibrations in SimHub? When I got the HF8 I completely skipped installing their software and did everything through SimHub. Can you do the same with the Simagic Haptics? I saw other videos where the Simagic software allows you to specify certain frequency for each haptic motor.
Yeah you can specify a per motor frequency.
One thing you can’t do is have two effects on the same motor with 2 different frequencies.
So as long as you have different effects on different pedals you can have different frequencies.
Awesome video!!! I just got haptics last week. If you can, please make the simhub config video.
It’s coming tomorrow
Thanks for the video mate. I love that there's a graph showing brake lock and grip loss. Would Sim Hub work for Assetto Corsa Competitizione and Dirt Rally 2? I don't play iRacing. I play ACC mostly. And I got pedals nobody has heard of - Steel GT by BJ Sim Racing. And I have no idea if I could mount Simagic's haptics on them.
If you have a 3D printer anyone can mount them.
Simhub also supports most games so should be ok👌
Great vid!
Question: is the haptic feedback dynamic? In other words, is the vibration 100% or 0%? Or, do they vibrate a little when traction is barely breaking, and a lot when you're sliding, etc?
No unfortunately they either vibrate at 100% or nothing, I think it’s because they vibrate at certain frequencies so therefore it makes it impossible to regulate the force so it’s either on or off
Sorry I have to acknowledge my last response is all true however with sim pro manager, the Simagic software, the force can be be modulated, so not sure why it doesn’t feel possible in Simhub, I will follow up
@@TerriblyRacing Appreciate the follow up. I'm likely going to order one for my brake, but just curious if there is granularity to the feedback.
@@steelereignreinstalled SimHub today, there is granularity, you can customise how strong the feedback is and varying stages and strengths.

Really good video dude, lots of potential
I hope the second video is as good, it’s really tricky trying to explain these settings
More simhub effects settings explanation please ;)
Would this work for ACC on PC. Any expected console support in future updates?
Yeah you need to have PC to use Simhub, Simagic software natively supports most games but only for TC and ABS not these effects that SimHub calculates
Why did you not add ABS effects to the brake as well?
ABS is on the default setting, but I don’t normally drive cars with ABS
Can the haptics only be used with Simagic pedals, are can they adapted to other brands?
Also, I have been using SimHub for almost 3 years and I have just recently learned about the haptics built in.
How do you get clutch to vibrate at bite point in simhub? If simhub is on the simagoc software doesn't work and vice versa. I want the throttle and brake vibration settings using Sim hub and clutch bite point aswell. Thanks in advance
Hi sorry George, I don’t have the clutch pedal at all so I haven’t set up and clutch bite point
Btw, in iracing specially, we should not activate abs right? I mean the fastest way to brake is without abs right? Cause i bought a new alpha simagic base and it gives me abs vibrations and i suddenly realized before this abs impulses i was always braking with abs, but in real life if abs is activated you probably made a calvulation mistake and your car gonna be upset. So this blew up my mind, did i really drive 1 year with always activating abs? Or is it just a wrong software? Can anyone see or experience same thing and expecially you sir, did you realize same thing when you just start the using haptic sensors?
So I guess the brake pedals vibrate as well when you brake? Do the the vibrations feel different on the 2 pedals? Thanks for the vid
@@7hecouchpotato so the brake pedal reacts to wheels lock and is set to vibrate at 23hz the accelerant reacts to traction loss and vibrates at 41hz. The vibrations on both pedals are quite different due to the different frequencies.
If they were the same frequency, I’m sure they feel similar on both pedals

ABS is bad so you should probably care for it, and the lack of TC is not why the Porche Cup car is more difficult to drive.
Thanks for the video but those settings for F4 are dreadful! Pedals vibrate too much! Did few F4 laps at Zandvoort and pedals were vibrating pretty much the whole time. Smallest steering wheel movement causes haptics to vibrate, even on the straight.

@@TerriblyRacing my Fanatec V3's throttle vibrates when slipping, but its support is down to the game.
I'm sure you can mod other pedals with vibration motors too. Others might use bass shakers on their rigs. It's another tool, but like anything, it doesn't turn you into a genius driver.
@@TerriblyRacing that’s my point it is an advantage. I have seen interviews with drivers who hate sim racing due to the lack of feed back and they don’t think they will get any use from it. I believe this will change their mind.

It will come, just busy with work at the moment
Tomorrow 6pm🎉

For me yeah 😂
What about for dirt racing will this work
Yeah for sure but it might be a lot less useful as you’re constantly braking traction, you would have to move the thresholds much higher as to not trigger vibration for say a 5° slide and maybe you’d want vibration at a 30° but I can’t say how useful it’d be for you
Oh you can change the degree of slide for when the vibration starts? That might be goated for dirt
