    great review! i agree completely. the pedals are so much fun. it's like back when i started obsessing with sim racing! you feel the improvement instantly. thanks also for the great advice regarding spring / where download firmware / software. you probably have saved me hours with this video. also i'd like to mention their great customer support via discord. i had a problem with installing the firmware. within minutes the community and an actual costumer support guy solved my problem. thumbs up. i am a fan of both the review and the product. great work

    I was waiting for these since August and finally got to purchase them a couple days ago. Almost cancelled my reservation and picked up ultimates but at the last minute, made the decision to wait. After watching this video I'm glad I did! They arrive on Tuesday and I can't wait. I have had the VRS dd system for a couple months now and love it. Thanks for finally posting a review, there aren't many out there and people need to know about these pedals.

    Sold my V3 pedals, got these yesterday, mounted them in my GT1 Evo, installed the red spring, started the calibration process and when i got to the brake pedal i could barely press it. The back rest of my flimsy adjustable chair and my lombar zone were screaming in pain. Installed the blue spring back and set the max brake pressure at 35% to actually reach 100% braking in ACC with braking the seat and my back. Ironically i can easily push 120kg at the gym.
    I think i need to rework my sitting position in the rig.

      Red Spring and just work on your adjustments both length and spacers and from there tuning in the software......I do this in NASCAR truck series a lot because different tracks have different braking requirements as well as type of brakes on the car itself so you need to adjust accordingly!

    Agreed, great pedals, the only thing I'd say is your opening statement about them appearing as a typical standard pedal set, the absense of bumpers and implementation of the cam for progressive resistance would say otherwise to me but I'm being pedantic 😊 good review and easy to watch.

    I am thinking about which pedals to get and am torn between the VRS, the Simtrec, but also the NuoSimulation (by a german simracing fan and engnieer who wasn't perfectly happy with the Heusinkveld and thus developed his own ones - you may want to check them out). Seems like there isn't much that can be done wrong with either of those, tho.

    Had them since the first couple weeks they came out. Still feel as good as day 1. Watched the stream where ya changed the spring. Thankfully mine took approx 30secs with no issues. Only snag I had was adjusting the angle if the foot plate. tolerances were really tight in mine and had to loosen off the supports as well to slacken it up. Otherwise pedals have been flawless.

By your diagram i see longer tier rod means shorter travel, but from which point you measure it? Or it is bottom one with spring i should adjust with washers gor brake travel-lenght? Thanks!

    Hi Dan, do you still own these pedals? And do you still prefer them over other pedals like you said in the review? I really want to buy them I play mostly on ACC, Automobilista and rFactor2. The only concern I have is about the durability of the springs. Or better if with long term use they can have some noise or something like that. And also the software had some updates since this video?

    • @DanSuzuki
      @DanSuzuki  2 года назад +5

      Yes, still use those and still love them. I've had no noise developed in mine - I think there actually were some software updates, but nothing really groundbreaking new tbh. The springs are definitely more reliable than Elastomers from my experience so far!

      @@DanSuzuki Thank you so much for the answer. Me too I don't like too much the elastomer feel, it is for that I want to buy VRS. And after what you said I think I will go with them.

    Did you use a Maximum Limit deadzone in ACC

    • @DanSuzuki
      @DanSuzuki  2 года назад

      I think I use 20-25% dead zone on the upper limit on the brake to have 100% on ACC feel similar to 75-80% on iRacing. That way the maximum brake pressure needed for best braking is comparable

    @DanSuzuki which do you perfer between the Invicta and the VRS? When price difference is not a consideration Hard question I know and might depend on the day. But, still curious, or if anybody else has an informed opinion, please chime in :D

    Hypothetically speaking if I had 20k for pedals, which pedals are the best?

    • @anhenkel
      @anhenkel 3 года назад

      I think "the best" can be really subjective at the high end side of things.
      If money doesn't matter I'd say the recently unveiled D-Box + Simtag Hydraulic Pedals, even though I haven't tried them. Price is supposed to be 6k-ish.
