@@ApeRiderr The V3 are really good pedals and are a improvement if you use t3pa before, BUT => you have to install the Break Performance or the Damper kit to become the best out of the pedals(sry 4 my bad engl)!
Sold my V3 pedals, got these yesterday, mounted them in my GT1 Evo, installed the red spring, started the calibration process and when i got to the brake pedal i could barely press it. The back rest of my flimsy adjustable chair and my lombar zone were screaming in pain. Installed the blue spring back and set the max brake pressure at 35% to actually reach 100% braking in ACC with braking the seat and my back. Ironically i can easily push 120kg at the gym. I think i need to rework my sitting position in the rig.
What is the withe rod with the two black spacers good for? First I thought they are bump stops but they don't touch the orange stopper rod. It's on all three pedals. No clue what its good for
Great review Dan, Bang on with how I feel about them. Just wishing maybe to have a stiffer spring in the brake pedal. But it would probably end up in the bin with the blue spring.
Red Spring and just work on your adjustments both length and spacers and from there tuning in the software......I do this in NASCAR truck series a lot because different tracks have different braking requirements as well as type of brakes on the car itself so you need to adjust accordingly!
Agreed, great pedals, the only thing I'd say is your opening statement about them appearing as a typical standard pedal set, the absense of bumpers and implementation of the cam for progressive resistance would say otherwise to me but I'm being pedantic 😊 good review and easy to watch.
I am thinking about which pedals to get and am torn between the VRS, the Simtrec, but also the NuoSimulation (by a german simracing fan and engnieer who wasn't perfectly happy with the Heusinkveld and thus developed his own ones - you may want to check them out). Seems like there isn't much that can be done wrong with either of those, tho.
Simtrecs owner here and absolutely rate them highly. I had HE Ultimate and Sprints before this and now I have much better brake control with the Simtrecs. Plus the bonus is they look absolutely top notch being fully Cnc machined so I feel your getting your money’s worth rather than cheap laser cut steel bolted together
Had them since the first couple weeks they came out. Still feel as good as day 1. Watched the stream where ya changed the spring. Thankfully mine took approx 30secs with no issues. Only snag I had was adjusting the angle if the foot plate. tolerances were really tight in mine and had to loosen off the supports as well to slacken it up. Otherwise pedals have been flawless.
I don't understand how easy you can squeeze that red spring, when i change it the brake pedal was too stiff for me. I have same pedal travel with softer spring. Maybe i'm doing something wrong. Nice overviev btw.
Great review. Got this few days ago. Had to install a 40cm wood log in my rig to serve as heel support. I got a question. When you configure your brake pedal, do you push the maximum force until your bum lift the chair a bit? Doing that and Im on 30ish % on blue spring. If I don’t do that I’m on 23ish %
I like the blue spring! Lol thats how i enjoy trsil braking nice easy controled. I dont need to real I need ease of use and control for my weak hips and knees haha. I have some danage to my lower back and my hips so i really appreciate lighter things now. If its to heavy my back and hips get so uncomfortable i cant even race.
Hi Dan, as i understand to decrease pedal travel you must make longer lenght with this middle screw, tier-rod? Or you shouod screw in to make smaller diameter to make pedal travel less? By your diagram i see longer tier rod means shorter travel, but from which point you measure it? Or it is bottom one with spring i should adjust with washers gor brake travel-lenght? Thanks!
Really appreciate your videos ! Do you know when your “full” review will come out ? And I have to say, because of you, or thanks to, depends how you see it ;) I will get myself some new pedals
I ordered my set with the Clutch because I run NASCAR Modified and Truck Series.....one needs a clutch to start from any dead stop or shifting to reverse and down shifting going into the pits or in any type of spin cycle to not kill the motor....... other than that i just take up-shifts above the redline! Has anyone toyed with the idea of adding a foot rest to the right side of the throttle pedal?
Same I would really like to know since my only complain about the VRS is the lack of travel with the red Spring. I'm running 24mm preload and 38mm rod.
I have had these pedals for a while now and I cant really fault them. The only issue I had was finding a way to mount them to a wheel stand was not really built for these kinds on pedals. It would be good if they brought out some baseplate like Heusinkveld so I can maybe mount them better.

Dan, are you still planning to put up a simtrec review? Would be interested in your thoughts between the VRS pedals and the Simtrecs. VRS with dampers is about the same cost as the Simtrecs, and is a "classic" comparison between elastomers v. spring on the brake side.
you can't go wrong with the simtrecs, the script is done, review will come. great build quality, more "classic" elastomer feel - stuff that I disliked were the cable for the clutch, that is a bit bad - but review should be coming in the next weeks when I hopefully find some time for it
@@DanSuzuki thanks for the heads up looking forward to it. Hopefully it covers the use without the additional pedal plate simtrec also sells. Having a GT1-Evo my current setup with my Sprints, the pedals are directly bolted to the pedal plate. The simtrecs seem taller in this case, with non-adjustable throttle pedal, and wonder if they can be used as effectively without the optional pedal plate as with it.
Hi Dan, do you still own these pedals? And do you still prefer them over other pedals like you said in the review? I really want to buy them I play mostly on ACC, Automobilista and rFactor2. Yes, still use those and still love them. I've had no noise developed in mine - I think there actually were some software updates, but nothing really groundbreaking new tbh. The springs are definitely more reliable than Elastomers from my experience so far!
@@DanSuzuki Thank you so much for the answer. Me too I don't like too much the elastomer feel, it is for that I want to buy VRS. And after what you said I think I will go with them.
I think I use 20-25% dead zone on the upper limit on the brake to have 100% on ACC feel similar to 75-80% on iRacing. That way the maximum brake pressure needed for best braking is comparable
