Anthony needs his own version of gamer nexus. He's one of the few guys where he doesnt give a ton of bloat. Straight clear cut and I wish he had a stronger presence all around.

Riley needs his own staff so he can produce more Talklinked and Techlonger episodes. For Talklinked, the combination of an intelligent interviewer (Riley) and a well-informed subject matter expert (Anthony in this case, but hopefully people from Labs in the future) is gold.

Calling the 3080 'midrange' is wild to me. I feel like the '70' class cards were always the midrange - solid performance, $300-400 price range, but you could always swing higher with an 80 card if you want top-tier performance, or drop to the 60 or 50 zone for more budget or low-end rigs. I think the change from 'Titan' to '90' class made people forget that buying a $1000+ graphics card isn't really part of the normal range of consideration in the consumer PC space.
I mean, even the 3070 being $500 felt like a heavy blow to the midrange's price point. I'd even suggest that the 3060/ti is the actual midrange now, because the 50/ti class and the 16xx series occupy an even lower spot on the pricing ladder. Based on MSRP, the 80-class this gen being the best 'bang for buck' as prices push ever upward is a strange thing, but I wouldn't consider that a good enough reason to classify it as midrange, squashing everything from the 1650 all the way to the 3070 as budget/low-end. Just because the price chart now tops out around $2000 doesn't mean that the midpoint of the price chart is midrange.

I was miffed getting a 3080 for 850 eur in Dec 2020 until I saw them for 2k like 3 months later. Crazy times.
Don't forget inflation. $400 in 2012 is $500 now.

I really enjoyed the pairing of Riley and Anthony. Riley is there to ask the questions we are all to embarrassed to ask and Anthony is there to answer them like in a complete, digestible, and caring manor.
This could possibly be the most informative and entertaining tech format I’ve seen. It also helps that Anthony and Riley are a power duo

This is the perfect balance Anthony being super informative and able to simplify and explain the “weeds” countered to Riley with his humor and outside the box questions or thoughts. I’d really love this to continue plus you can bring in other LMG presentators like Jonathan for Apple topics etc

Hopefully you guys are getting overwhelmingly positive feedback for this. You're scripted content is king👑... however, I can't possibly explain how much more I love and seek out this fluid kind of content. Especially the kind of thing that I don't necessarily need to be watching but I can just listen while I'm working or doing chores. The WAN show and your random live streams are my most absolutely favorite thing to tune in to in all of RUclips. It really doesn't even matter who is one camera or mic'd up, it's always guaranteed to be the best

They will probably push the launch ahead because of the rapid decline in GPU prices. if all prices go back to MSRP then the prices will "seem" absurd on the new cards.

I missed these talks, hopefully this time around they will actually become a regular thing.
As for the topic at hand until game devs start actually using mesh shaders (UnrealEngine5, etc.) there is no reason for me to even consider upgrading my good old 1080. And since I actually went back to 1080p/120 from 4K/60 after the HDMI2.1 fiasco I won't really need a new gpu to run the games I normally play at a good frame rate for a while. Hopefully by the time mesh shader games start arriving a couple years from now the prices will have finally normalized and I'll be able to get a genuine gpu upgrade at a good price.
What if I told you 8k gaming is coming?

I am honestly glad I bought the 1080, even if it *was* overpriced at the time (thanks miners). The power consumption is reasonable for the performance. I feel like most if not all new graphics cards have sacrificed a ton of power efficiency by comparison, and with power prices being what they are at the moment it seems pretty unreasonable to me that manufacturers are pushing the wattage ever upwards.

I got a 1080 years ago when the 20 series came out because of the memes. I am glad I did, as there is no way to get anything better now without being ripped off
In 2015 I paid £235 at my local Curry's for a GTX 970, and I still use it today. It's great. One of the best buys I've ever made, even though at the time I thought £235 for a GPU was excessive. I've long thought that I just couldn't justify to myself (let alone my wife) £500+ for a GPU that could cark at any time. They're all just too expensive and power hungry to run and things need to get real. (Also I wouldn't buy a used GPU. Ever.)
