Yeah, really great way to show that she DOES have Top champion strats. Makes Geeta having Glimmora last actually make sense, it's to contrast with Nemona. It's like poetry, it rhymes.
This game seriously needed like 2 more years of development, its a shame that they had so little time to make the game since they have very small and immovable deadlines due to the anime and tcg and merchandise
I'm not going to lie you had me going there I was legitimately thinking of team comps to run for this now I feel disappointed. Mission accomplished, great work boss 10 out of 10 meme
Legit, 2 or 3 Fake Outs on your team would push it to doable. The main problem, hypothetically, is the reverse snowball if she correctly Teras the right pokemon, so using Fake Out to bait the teras is a way of reducing their impact. Additionally, it's worth remembering that Revival Blessing only restores with 1/2 hp, so, just planning to have a pokemon faster than Annihilape in reserve essentially just lets you take Pawmwhatever and Annihilape 2 for free. The dangerous ones are Duck Boy and just Garchomp. If you can stop the Moxie Step sweep, and get good value taking down Garchomp, the rest aren't TOO hard to brute force down. Additionally, her team is mostly very aggressive, not really reactive, so a bike-paradox core can honestly just shred most of it, especially if you deploy your own hazards on Garchomp. Spidops top tier after all?!?
What a great vid. It takes you for a wild ride, pumping you up and making you grind, train and carefully choose items to fight this scary team, and then at the end you realize it was all just a prank bro. Subscribed.
I was fooled... Tricked... Lied to.... Deceived... Stringed along... Full blown pranked... I hope you know I will have trust issues forever because of you!
Something I realized is that trainers don't use Healing Items anymore. ...So I just PP stalled her using all my Revives (and then soloed with my own Annihilape. It still took me 2 hours, but not having any Normal Type makes her way too easy to revenge kill. Silicobra + Last Respects Houndstone is also particularly potent. All because she didn't keep her ultimate Pokemon, Dudunsparce!
The happiness I felt hearing that GF finally put in some effort into a battle in pokemon was beautiful. And then I watched the end and was brought back to crushing reality.
Thanks a bunch for this video! Very well made and edited! After watching it I actually recreated it on my game pretty closely to give my friends a fun endgame challenge! The team is very fun to use, and the twists and turns with the unusual Tera types, the protean and the pawmot are all great additions to make the battle dynamic!
Ok what if it was even worse though, Lead with Palafin, have it swap out for Glimmora ASAP, let it do it's thing until it drops, send Palafin, Annihalape, or filler of your choice, I'd go with a tanky boi like apple pie dragon or Bestsire that can pull some health recogery shickanery for maximum enemy raging, but absent that, Skeledirge's torch song ramping up is a pretty solid grab, once your three bruisers are down, send in pawmot for the revival blessing to bring back Annihalape, and then, after all that, unleash hell with a Kingambit now fueled by the anguish of 6 allied faints, give it the metronome and start dropping that cowtow cleave like you're the miltank of everyone's nightmares spamming rollout.
I haven't played the game, and based on similar competitive-like postgame fights in recent games, I totally believed you. When you revealed what they actually put in the game I was amazed. Of all the laziness and unfinished jank I've heard about, that black screen might be the funniest. Great video
I thought this was real and had level 100s just so I could prepare to fight Nemona only to get disappointed that it wasn’t real and it was just a fade to black cutscene.
How many tries did it take YOU to beat postgame Nemona? Which of her pokemon gave you the most trouble? Let me know in the comments below! Let's! Traumatized!
As much as i hate to admit it,it took me exactly 16 resets to finally find the perfect strategy to beat nemona at an equal or lower level,it required me to use great tusk, a pokemon with legendary stats, equipped with leftovers ,i would first use rapid spin, taking damage from rocky helmet and rough skin at the benefit of boosting speed ,all the while chomp sets up rocks,i would then proceed to spam bulk up ,as garchomp's moves won't deal much damage due to tusk's great physical bulk and the bulk up boosts, then it would be all over as none of her pokemon can outspeed my great tusk after those boosts, and even skeledirge can't tank neither an unboosted earthquake nor a close combat if it decides to tera into ice, which it will to avoid getting oneshotted by earthquake.Overall,it was truly one of the most difficult fight the series has to offer and i'd appreciate if gamefreak keeps up on pumping these difficult fights and even implement a "challenge" mode that's easily accessible to us veteran players from the get go in their next games
bruh I had to manually bring back Mega Evolution to take down this behemoth of a superboss. Some weird-ass punk in a back alley of Levincia gave me a strange bracelet in exchange for the Violet Book, 2 Chaos Emeralds, and Jesus Christ's autograph. Oh, and ¥50,000,000 in cash
took me 237 hours and 47 revives on my first try with 6 lvl 100 technician mausholds that all know nothing but bullet seed and population bomb. one wide lens all 24 mices get to share

I know the fans have been begging for a tougher game but this is just excessive Nuzlockers are lucky this is the last fight in the game because they wont have many pokemon standing after its done.
If we're going to allow ourselves to look up Nemona's team beforehand like we do with Red/Cynthia to call them "easy" then Nemona isn't too hard to beat. She always leads with Tera Steel Jolly Chomp , so we can lead with Jolly Multiscale Dragonite with DD, Roost, Dragon Claw , EQ and a Fire Tera Type , with Weakness Policy as its item . Multiscale allows it to live Garchomp Outrage (even with a crit) to get up Weakness Policy and Dragon Dance in one turn , and if the stupid AI sets up SR first , you can get in 2 Dragon Dances . Even in the worst case we get +3 Atk and +1 Spe. The fastest Pokemon on Nemona's team is Skeledirge at 324 speed, so we need only invest 148 EV's in Speed to outspeed at +1, none in Attack (+3 anyways) and 252 HP/108 Def allows Dragonite to even tank Garchomp Outrages with Roost (47-56 % damage) . But wait, there's more . Since Garchomp is now locked into Outrage , we can go Tera Fire and since GChomp can't use EQ , its dealing a pitiful 47-56 % WITHOUT Multiscale , and its slower so we can roost back up to full if it hits itself in confusion , 40% chance . That's a 40 % chance to get even more Dragon Dances in , since EQ is weaker on a Fire type than Outrage on a Dragon type . But lets say 60% of the time we were forced to kill Garchomp with Dragon Claw/EQ (depending on whether it tera'd or not) . The next pokemon out should be Quaqaval with Water moves on DNite's Fire type , but it gets OHKO'd by Dragon Claw, since tera keeps your old STAB bonus. The next Pokemon out is probably Annihilape , since it gets only 2HKO'D by DNite. But Annihilape can't deal more than 50% damage without critting , and Dragon Claw is a guaranteed 2HKO even with Bulk Up and Leftovers. The only way you could possibly lose is if DNite has less than 50% health → Drain Punch Crit or Bulk Up into Rage Fist Crit. If DNite has 67 % health or more , you can roost as Annihilape wails in frustration even after death. Either way, DNite has very solid odds to get past Annihilape , especially since if it teras, EQ is super effective. Skeledirge comes out next (since its original type is weak to EQ and resisted by Fire it should be sent out by the AI after Annihilape), and is a 2HKO , but sadly , DNite's journey probably ends here. It can go Tera Ice to avoid the OHKO with EQ , and KO Tera Fire DNite with Earth Power. HOWEVER , if Dragonite has Multiscale up by Roosting on Annihilape or is at 90% + health , it avoids being KO'd by Earth Power. In that case: Meowscarada is an absolute joke. None of its moves deal over 35% if DNite is a fire type, not even Flower Trick crit. At this point you can set up all over this cat to +6 and OHKO the last 2 pokemon with EQ. IF DRAGONITE doesn't survive Skeledirge , even if Skeledirge was the third pokemon , you now have a 5-3 advantage, and you can use any flying/levitating Pokemon to deal with Skeledirge locked into Earth Power. Kilowattrel is a good choice since it matches up favourably against all of Annihilape , Meowscarada and Pawmot, even Quaqaval if it is revived . Generally good Pokemon like your starter , Scizor , Kingambit , the Pardox Pokemon , Gholdengo , Palafin , Tinkaton , Maushold etc etc that you normally used during playthroughs should be able to finish off the rest of Nemona's team since she has absolutely used her Tera at this point , and the game gives you too many good items like Band, Scarf, Life Orb , Assault Vest for her 3 remaining Pokemon to be a threat. Heck , bring another Dragonite to set up on Earth Power and you're good. EDIT : I know this battle is a made up joke , but it was fun to analyze regardless. Just in general ,having access to early breeding via picnics, the ease of teaching Egg moves, Hidden ability pokemon from Tera Raids, Mints and Bottle Caps for perfect IVs, EVs ,Natures and so many good Pokemon , items and TM's , along with the broken Terastallization mechanic just completely turns any "superboss" battle into a joke if you're prepared , only playing blind can give you some challenge. I haven't even mentioned here that you can get DNite to level 100 easily with EXP candy and other training methods , which would probably mean a 6-0 sweep . Moral of the story : Multiscale is broken, and Dragonite is awesome.
Finally! A genuine challenge without using any sort of cheating mechanics in a pokemon game, and with such a well written character! Scarlet and Violet have to be the best games ever made, and definitely the best ever on switch! Thanks for the tutorial Cheese!
I am the dumbest buffoon on the planet omg. I legit thought this was real because I hadn't done any of the post game friend storyline stuff. What's worse is that even after the very end of the video instead of realizing it was fake, I continued to be strung along for WAY longer than probably anyone else here. Me after watching the end: "Okay so he's keeping the fight a surprise or for a later video and to see it myself, I have to actually finish her storyline first." Me after doing that: "Okay well she mentioned the Ace Tournament so I guess I need to keep battling there until she shows up as an opponent and that will be her new team." Me after beating her then: "Alright same team in the tournament, but I bet I can fight her in the courtyard or something,
Was on mobile and submitted the comment too early, but needless to say after checking the courtyard again AND talking to her in her room again, THAT was finally when I figured I had been had. I'm one gullible motherfucker practically any day besides April 1st. Maybe that's just how much I wanted this to be true and for SV to have more content.
My favourite part of her battle is when she suddenly gets 6 omni boosts in a row because of ancient power because i was very irritated and created a competitive murkrow for that reason
I was considering having Annihilape's Defiant having special synergy with being revived and granting an omniboost, but I thought that was...a bit much.

I think that Pokemon can afford to have a super hard post game. If you're a child you're not beating the champ anyways. If you're old enough to beat them, then it is time to learn how to play the game for real.

@@ImportedCheese While moving a team up would only need the one box you can have without subscription, let's be real: anyone still seriously excited to get S/V at this point would probably get the subscription for no useful reason. Love the concept but at 6:39, that’s not how unaware works, unaware ignores every stat boost EXCEPT for speed, so a Pokémon with a speed boost will still likely outspeed him
I checked and her Ace Tournament Team isn't like this. At most her highest-levelled Pokémon is Level 72. If the Team you described was her Ace Tournament Team, now THAT would've been interesting. Instead we get her final battle but slightly higher-levelled to make it a bit harder than last time.

Ninety seconds in: …there is no postgame fight, is there?

My favorite part is that she actually leads with a Glimmora since she catched one while in Area Zero.
Yeah, really great way to show that she DOES have Top champion strats.

I held nothing back
Legit, 2 or 3 Fake Outs on your team would push it to doable.
The trailer and preview image are perfection!

Welcome to the GameFreak experience
How many tries did it take YOU to beat postgame Nemona? Which of her pokemon gave you the most trouble?
Let me know in the comments below! Let's! Traumatized!
First try.
Lycanroc because I was using only Skeledirge.
I didn't even know about this battle until this video because everyone just keeps saying "no postgame content lol"
Some weird-ass punk in a back alley of Levincia gave me a strange bracelet in exchange for the Violet Book, 2 Chaos Emeralds, and Jesus Christ's autograph.

took me 237 hours and 47 revives on my first try with 6 lvl 100 technician mausholds that all know nothing but bullet seed and population bomb. one wide lens all 24 mices get to share

@@ImportedCheese What a great game
“Why won’t you die?”
“Tera types, son. They harden in response to fairy type attacks.”
This isn't my honedge...
Nemonas simp level sure is over 9000 any time you run into her. Still, my most favorite rival so far.
I wish she had a real personality
In that case:
Meowscarada is an absolute joke.
EZ battle
I was trolled so hard that I needed to think around 5 minutes, search her post game team just to figure it out it was really a pun
I think some people actually trained teams for her

Me after beating her then: "Alright same team in the tournament, but I bet I can fight her in the courtyard or something,
Was on mobile and submitted the comment too early, but needless to say after checking the courtyard again AND talking to her in her room again, THAT was finally when I figured I had been had. Sunflourish was fake, but this is real! Two hour battle!
