It's a week now and my face is still a ball. My face is pretty small ,so it feels so round. When will the swelling go
Just had my surgery may 31.. I’ve been looking at so many videos and only urs resonate with me.. I’m still in pain and it’s post op day 12.. still wired shut.. feels like I will never get through this
oh no! im sorry you are still experiencing pain. I was actually not in pain after the 4th or 6th day post op but I think everyone is different. I used childrens tylenol for my headaches and discomfort but that was it. Make sure to tell your doctor you are in pain. I alos think I have a high pain tolerence so that could be it too
I had mines February 23rd 2022 I’m a month in recovery. Your swelling don’t look bad
My swelling got so much better after the first 7 days. My doctor was surprised! I ice 24/7! How are you feeling at month 1?
I want to ask you the grinder machine brand you used
Are the needles syringe and rubber tubes given to you by the doctor or yourself

How long does it take for pain to go? 4 days out and just wondering
I actually didnt have much pain. It lasted maybe 3 days
I’m having my surgery on may 13th 🤞🏻, do you know what class underbite you had ? They said mine was a class 3 underbite
I was Class III Underbite as well with a 3mm off center midline so they also rotated my jaw. OMGG congrats on having your surgery date and good luck! You'll do great

@@winterbear8293 I’m in recovery right now, the surgery took 10 hours, the recovery is so so bad for me, my face has gotten so swollen, and my throat is sore now because I threw up four times

Wow. Must be nice to be so beautiful and young, which no doubt has helped you to have bounced back rather quickly. I wish I had done this in my 20’s, instead of 49. I’m far from the surgery, as I just had my braces put on 3 weeks ago. But now for the really important question, which has remained unanswered for some reason. When you’re on a liquid diet, how are your bowel movements? If you eat nothing solid for some time, I just don’t see how a person can produce a solid dooki, which is very important to me, as it gives me an excuse to stay longer on the toilet, enjoying some light reading material, like Jet Magazine, TV Guide, and the Layne Bryant catalog. How was yours during your liquid diet phase? Inquiring minds want to know!

I must have missed something but I thought you had invisalign, so why was your jaw shut with normal braces??
And I’ve watched tons of people getting dubbel jaw surgery, but you’re the only one that wasn’t able to speak right after the precedure.

hahahaha okay let me explain some things...
I had Invisalign for 10 months prior to the surgery because I refused to have braces for a full year. I asked my orthodontist to keep me in braces as short a time as possible. BecauseI had Invisalign back in 2015 they still had my case file and were able to reopen it for me to get Invisalign.
I got braces put on about 4 months before the surgery. This was a requirement as my surgeon knew he would have to wire my jaw shut for various reasons.
When they wired my jaw they to put a splint which was why I was unable to talk. No air (or sound) was able to escape through the splint. This was also why I couldn't breathe through my mouth either!
I wasn’t able to talk as well either.. I guess cuz of the splint. I’m post op day 12 and still can’t talk and still wired shut
