If you’re playing avengers level, you’re facing terrorists, natural disasters, and supervillain plots. If you’re playing a cosmic level character (silver surfer, sentry, ect,) then it’s supervillain plots/natural disasters being as common as muggings for street level, with random event threats like galactus, kang, skrulls, or thanos being the rare ones.
@@marcusmyers4822The problem with that game while it is a great idea is that, the gameplay mechanics are so completely different for the different characters, that these games are never able to find a good medium ground with it. I would of loved to have seen all three of these versions, especially Ang Lee’s Hulk 2, that movie is really underrated and I love all the character work that was being explored
@bensneb360 Here's what I'd do with a potential Incredible Hulk sequel. Keep in mind, this would be in an MCU where Marvel had the rights of all their characters instead of selling them. An Incredible Hulk sequel would have Hulk on the run with the Leader as the villain, but the secondary villains would be Weapon X soldiers which are Wolverine, Sabretooth, Omega Red, Deadpool and Lady Deathstrike tasked by Thunderbolt Ross to find Hulk. Wolverine would leave the team to help Hulk in stopping the Leader's gamma mutant plans in the third act while the other Weapon X members would get brainwashed, mutated, and eventually escape after stopping the Leader (this combines the Hulk vs. Wolverine animated movie and the Gamma World two-parter from Earth's Mightiest Heroes with Wolverine taking Hawkeye's place in that film). A post-credits scene would show Wolverine being recruited by the X-Men setting up the Giant-Size X-Men roster in that movie's sequel.
You've become quite the replacement for Midnight's Edge, which used to make similar retrospective videos on unmade installments to franchises. Now, they hardly make, videos like this anymore. Thank you, along with Supervoid Cinema, for making videos like this.
@@Bulletsandblockbusters Especially since Ross was always such an interesting antagonist to me because he didn't have any powers at all. He's just a regular guy, who happens to be in a position that makes Bruce's life hell. That's interesting. Having Ross turn himself into a red Hulk is just flat out boring and generic. I didn't like it in the comics, and I probably won't like it on film either. Just feels like a waste of such a good character dynamic to dumb it down to a 'hero fights evil version of himself' trope.
I always thought that the Incredible Hulk was an underrated film, as it’s kind of a shame that it didn’t resonate with the general audience at the time of its initial release as it should have in my opinion. In addition, I’ll always prefer Edward Norton over Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner.
The Incredible Hulk is my favorite MCU movie, and it really annoys me that not only was Ed Norton recast, but he was forced into a bad cinematic universe and got sidelined. I wish we could've just had a hulk trilogy or something that stood on its own.
Perfect topic you’re covering here!!! I’ve been wanting to ask this for a few weeks now but with Kang Dynasty scrapped and us knowing plot details about the film you should make a video about what Kang Dynasty could have been since I’d LOVE to see that!

Mark Ruffalo Is HULK! Thee Best Hulk. They need to stop B.S.ing and make another Hulk Movie. Hulk Is MCU! Over All Of Its Other Characters! And; They Should Bring Back “The Silver Surfer”!

Great video! I have always wondered what Bruce’s character could’ve been if Norton had stayed on, but the fact he’s apparently hard to work with speaks dozens about him. Fun fact though, and ironically, Mark Ruffalo, while not Marvel’s, was Louis Letterier’s first choice to play Banner in The Incredible Hulk. It’s kinda funny cause he obviously became the new Hulk actor and then the two ended up working together on Now You See Me.
@@bullymaguire3385Norton is the better actor compared to Ruffalo. No question about it. But he is quite a picky guy. He pick limited role that he feel strongly about and knew that it’s right for him, which is fine and all hence why he was amazing in birdman and many more. But maybe that wouldn’t fit right in an ensemble cast movie like The Avengers where you share the screen. Or that he has to contractually obligate to play in numerous other Marvel projects.
@@yappaplay I understand but i believe Marvel gave him some control in the Incredible Hulk they could’ve done the same in team up movies but only for his character
The new Captain America movie is continuing the Edward Norton Hulk, by introducing The Leader played by the same guy Tim Blake Nelson and Liv Tyler as Betty Ross.
I think it's for the best that Norton stopped playing the Hulk. The homogenised assembly-line production style of the MCU seems like his worst nightmare.
you should do a video on Scott Derrickson's version of Multiverse of Madness. Theres a ton of concept art from it out there where you can get somewhat of an idea of what the film would've been like (nightmare, different visuals of an incursion, wundagore mountain looking way different, the death of strange's sister explored etc.)
I’ve always loved Incredible Hulk, I thought it was the second best phase one movie and still has one of the best villains and probably the best fight scenes. Just an awesome movie. I also recently read the novelization of 2003 hulk and holy cow, it’s such an amazing story.
I’d love to see Eric Bana’s hulk actually be Maestro Like he was sent to the void and was able to get out and went into a universe where he eventually became maestro
Imo, both Hulk movies are fantastic in their own way. Hulk (2003) is an artsy, indepth character study on Bruce Banner and his trauma with his upbringing. It very accurately portrayed its themes and delivered a really really unique experience for a superhero movie, one that I think audiences just weren’t ready for at the time. The Incredible Hulk (2008) is a love letter to the 70s Bixby show in a lot of ways and matched tones really well with the first Iron Man movie. The portrayal of Bruce Banner in the film is the best of any to me, Edward Norton brought to life a skinny, nerdy, good hearted man with a dark past and a lot of demons better than any other actor to take up the role. He really felt to me like a definitive version of the character. Mark Ruffalo did fantastic when he was given good material to work with, but unfortunately they really dropped the ball with his character and pretty much abandoned his character arcs after Ragnorak (a movie where his character was already being mishandled imo)
All these ideas sound wild and very creative. I miss when people had an interest in the Hulk inside of just "dumb monster" or treating him as a joke. The fact we haven't had a solo Hulk film in a decade upsets me. Thanks again for pumping out these videos 👍

Everything except the ending is good, but Ang Lee can never seem to help himself from getting lost up his own a$$ with heady pseudopsychology nonsense, regardless of the movie he's making. 🤷
this is a fantastic example of how the writers did their homework better than the directors and producers. what might have been was some potentially enjoyable films.
Ever since your videos were on my recommendations, I instantly love your content especially using footage from other media to explain the plot of these unmade projects or early drafts.
I LOVED Edward Norton’s Incredible Hulk and I hate they didn’t go that direction or keep him, but they ultimately made the right decision if he was going to be so hostile to work with. A shame all around.
Even if Marvel has got back all rights related to Hulk characters, I feel that in current situation, Hulk's origin story cannot be told, though some of the ideas teased in the previous potential films can be used in upcoming films related to Hulk, and they are being used. Hulk's origin cannot be told unless entire MCU is hard rebooted once again.
Ang Lee's Hulk is the best Hulk cinematographic adaptation we got. Bruce Banner and the Hulk psychodynamics with themselves and with others throughout their upbringing are very deeply explored. It is also the most comic accurate Hulk since he grows every time he gets angry. I would have loved to see a direct sequel to it, even thought I always thought The Incredible Hulk (2008) was a sequel. I believe that if superhero movies delved deeper into the characters relationship dynamics and human psych, more interest would grow and fatigue would lower.
This is one of my favorite lost potentials that could’ve been, not just because he’s one of my fav heroes, but because he had a lot of great material to work with & some independent story telling in between. One of the BIGGEST lost opportunities of Marvel movies history. Such a shame tht it might not happen & it was just an idea tht was canceled. 😢
They should make animatronics for characters like Hulk and other big characters so that they don't have to spend a ridiculous amount of money on overusing cgi
I still much prefer Norton to Ruffalo. I just feel like he had better charisma and handled the underlying “rage” better. Not saying that Ruffalo is a “bad actor” but in comparison Ruffalo’s performance as banner just feels more “wooden” than Norton. I also like the way Norton’s hulk looks more.
Depp would have made a great Banner. Too bad Norton sounds a bit difficult to work with but I had heard this is often an issue with him. I Still feel the '03 and '08 Hulk films would have done better if Hulk was allowed to talk like he did in Thor Ragnarok.
Here's another film sequel that sadly never came to be: *"The Holy Road",* based on the novel of the same name by Michael Blake, the creator of *"Dances With Wolves".* Taking place years after the events of the first film & its book counterpart, Dances With Wolves (formerly U.S. Union Army Lt. John J. Dunbar) is living peacefully with his native-raised wife: Stands With A Fist, and their trio of young children: a boy named Snake In Hands, and two girls named Always Walking & Stays Quiet. But after his wife & their infant daughter were captured by a group of White rangers after they attacked their village, Dances With Wolves mounts a rescue mission with his friends: Wind In His Hair & Kicking Bird. To helm the film adaptation was to be Mexican film director & professor Salvador Carrasco, though some sources stated that Simon Wincer, the director of the first *"FREE WILLY"* film was to direct. Rumors speculated that Viggo Mortensen (of Peter Jackson's *"Lord of the Rings"* film trilogy) was to star as Dances With Wolves.

Rick Jones, MIA, always... which is weird because I think saving him and becoming the Hulk as a result should be the largest part of Banner's characterization. "No, child abuse and daddy issues." Why? "Relatability?"
THANK YOU! I've never understood why Rick Jones is never included in any live Hulk adaptation. Yes, the issues with Brian Banner have become central to core Hulk storytelling since their introduction by writer Peter David, but how much more core can you get than Rick? Rick was literally there since the first Hulk story and was the catalyst for Bruce being caught in the gamma explosion. It's just as frustrating as MCU Spider-Man doing everything possible to never mention Uncle Ben by name. Even in No Way Home, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield say Uncle Ben's name, but Tom Holland never does and it feels absolutely wrong.
I love TIH to this day. I think its incredibly underrated and a more darker film when you really look at it. For all the complaints people had about the MCU being cookie cutter and looking the same, TIH still had a lot of that dark character work in it, even after being cut out.
Fun Fact: Mark Ruffalo was actually considered for The Role of The Hulk in The 2008 Film before Norton but after Norton was fired, Ruffalo took the role in The Avengers.
I always wondered how the Marvel movies would have been with Edward Norton as Bruce Banner. I always assumed he would have been better, but now knowing how he takes control of the films he's in I'm not so sure!
Has Marvel/Disney talked to Peter David, who had written Hulk for Marvel Comics in the 1980s & 1990s, as well as screenplays for Babylon 5, to write the screenplay for the Hulk movie?
That unmade Hulk script could have been successful with a few tweaks, replacing the insectoids with characters like Abomination, The Absorbing Man and maybe Rhino, and having Betty Ross as the female scientist.
Would the 90s film have been that good? Probably not, but GOD I would have loved to see those practical effects in action. Also, I think I heard that Billy Crudup was also considered for the lead role even back then. I actually enjoy the two Hulk films we got and how they try to adapt certain aspects of the character. I appreciate how Ang Lee's film explores the more psychological aspects of the character and how his childhood trauma led to the creation of the Hulk persona. I also enjoy the 2008 film for going the 'Bruce is drifting across the world looking for a cure" that was popularized by the 70s TV series while also being a solid action blockbuster. Though I will say that I love both films soundtracks and I would go so far as to say The Incredible Hulk has the best soundtrack in the entire MCU. Being a Hulk fan is a frustrating experience I must admit. He gets a couple of moments in the spotlight, and then almost immediately gets forgotten about afterwards despite him being one of Marvel's most popular heroes. What's up with that?

Wow, thanks! And my pleasure
Supervoid Cinema does these in more depth
@@NitroNEXT I agree, but B&B does provide pretty good abridged versions to get people interested, then want to learn more about the topic.

Really?!! I didn't know that. R.I.P.
R.I.P. Hulk-2018
I wish the planned hulk movies would have had villains who are not different hulks.
Because sense red hulk came along, Bruce wasn’t special anymore.
Ya I hate when the villain is just a copy of the hero
@@Bulletsandblockbusters
Especially since Ross was always such an interesting antagonist to me because he didn't have any powers at all.
This
Well the Leader isn’t really that
@@Bulletsandblockbusters couldn’t agree more
I always thought that the Incredible Hulk was an underrated film, as it’s kind of a shame that it didn’t resonate with the general audience at the time of its initial release as it should have in my opinion.
In addition, I’ll always prefer Edward Norton over Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner.
30 seconds into the video and I can tell from the topics he will be covering in this video. This is going to be another epic video! *chef's kiss*
Enjoy!
I definitely will :)
He’ll only do that video once we know more details about that version of the movie when the actual movie comes out in May 2026

Mark Ruffalo Is HULK! Thee Best Hulk. They need to stop B.S.ing and make another Hulk Movie. Hulk Is MCU! Over All Of Its Other Characters! And; They Should Bring Back “The Silver Surfer”!
Red Hulk/General Ross is one of my favorite Marvel characters, and I love MCU Emil Blonsky. Needless to say I’m a Hulk fan so I enjoyed this video. Congratulations on getting 100K subs bro! (I just realized that I wasn’t subscribed and thought I was!)

Now that the multiverse is so prominent, they should have Hulk face off against the Amazing Bulk.
Norton cared for the character and wanted best for Hulk
I think we need a world war hulk movie. I feel that would cool in the MCU
The new Captain America movie is continuing the Edward Norton Hulk, by introducing The Leader played by the same guy Tim Blake Nelson and Liv Tyler as Betty Ross.
I enjoyed the 2008 Hulk I think Edward Norton did a great job in the role
It’s one of my top 10 favorite mcu movies
I think it's for the best that Norton stopped playing the Hulk. The homogenised assembly-line production style of the MCU seems like his worst nightmare.
ngl the plot for the 90s one sounded good but the production was messy
The plot sounded terrible. Bug people… really ?
@@eudacye709 ok the bug people was bad but i mean the origin story of how he got the powers
you should do a video on Scott Derrickson's version of Multiverse of Madness. Theres a ton of concept art from it out there where you can get somewhat of an idea of what the film would've been like (nightmare, different visuals of an incursion, wundagore mountain looking way different, the death of strange's sister explored etc.)
I like Edward’s take on the Hulk and that movie is one of my favorites. But I wish they had kept some of the scenes they cut out.
I’m actually glad that The Leader will finally appear in Captain America: Brave New World, cause the 17-year old set up will be resolved.
And the fact that anything from that 2008 hulk movie is getting attention
They completely abandon the 2008 hulk movie when it’s literally canon lol

The 2008 Hulk is one of my favorite Marvel movies. I never understood why it was so disliked.
we need another hulk film based off world war hulk
what would you think about that?
I don’t think they can bc they used that storyline for Thor Ragnarok already
I’ve always loved Incredible Hulk, I thought it was the second best phase one movie and still has one of the best villains and probably the best fight scenes. Just an awesome movie. I also recently read the novelization of 2003 hulk and holy cow, it’s such an amazing story.
I’d love to see Eric Bana’s hulk actually be Maestro
Like he was sent to the void and was able to get out and went into a universe where he eventually became maestro
I really like Nortons hulk because he's more battle ready and looks a lot more real, please bring back Norton and his hulk!!

This is what comic book movies need to do take risks by including new introduced comic characters makes these films feel fresh
And adapt other comics that aren't focused on superheroes.
Incredible Hulk not being a "smash" hit, good one xD
Glad someone caught that
I like how the head of the OSI from Venture Bros is a parody of Red Hulk
Hopefully the Hulk can have a triumphant return the big screen and not confined to the so-so side character we’ve had in the avengers movies.
0:58 INVINCIBLE SPOTTED
You should do a similar video on The Punisher. The 1989 version was supposed to get a sequel. So did the 2004 movie.
Who had the rights to punisher
@@Idevaughan530 originally New World Pictures who owned Marvel at the time. They made the 1989 version with Dolph Lundgren. Then Artisan who made the 2004 movie with Thomas Jane. Except they were bought by Lions Gate. They released it. And then they made the 2008 version with Ray Stevenson.
Hulk verse! Awesome Work as Always
Thanks!
Hulk (2003) is extremely underrated 😭
And it's the most accurate movie
It was too ahead of it's time.
Hulk smash underated stuff!! Lol
Everything except the ending is good, but Ang Lee can never seem to help himself from getting lost up his own a$$ with heady pseudopsychology nonsense, regardless of the movie he's making. 🤷
Amazing movie
Hulk 2003 my fav “super hero” movie
In my opinion, Norton’s Hulk was the best
this is a fantastic example of how the writers did their homework better than the directors and producers. what might have been was some potentially enjoyable films.
Ever since your videos were on my recommendations, I instantly love your content especially using footage from other media to explain the plot of these unmade projects or early drafts.
Thank you!
Norton's Hulk and Banner were so much better than Ruffalo's that it makes the scenes Ruffalo or his Hulk are in unwatchable.
Agreed. Dude is a terrible Banner.
I LOVED Edward Norton’s Incredible Hulk and I hate they didn’t go that direction or keep him, but they ultimately made the right decision if he was going to be so hostile to work with. A shame all around.
you know its a good day when bullets and blockbusters post a video
Norton is an o.k. actor, but his ego is legendary.
Hell yes! Your videos are the best🔥
I have to say Norton hulk was the best looking hulk yet I thought the movie was super good. Bring back Nortons hulk that's all there is to it
This is one of my favorite lost potentials that could’ve been, not just because he’s one of my fav heroes, but because he had a lot of great material to work with & some independent story telling in between.
What Could Have Been: X-Men Origins Wolverine
Ima say it….Hulk 2003 is one of the best and under appreciated superhero movies. If it was made today it would be praised
I think about the mistake Marvel made dropping Norton a lot
Not enough room for his ego
Norton understood the character
@@jasontodd1896 doesn’t matter. Movies are a collaborative effort. Be part of the team or get out.

@@manavkhanna6470 That is fair. But trying to separate the artist from the craft he was great. That pretrial is for sure great acting
Let’s go. I’ve been waiting for this video 😁.
Depp would have made a great Banner. Too bad Norton sounds a bit difficult to work with but I had heard this is often an issue with him. I Still feel the '03 and '08 Hulk films would have done better if Hulk was allowed to talk like he did in Thor Ragnarok.
Thank you for doing my request!
Here's another film sequel that sadly never came to be:
*"The Holy Road",* based on the novel
of the same name by Michael Blake,
the creator of *"Dances With Wolves".*
Taking place years after the events
of the first film & its book counterpart,
Dances With Wolves (formerly
U.S. Union Army Lt. John J. Dunbar) is
living peacefully with his native-raised
wife: Stands With A Fist, and their trio
of young children: a boy named Snake
In Hands, and two girls named Always
Walking & Stays Quiet. But after his wife
& their infant daughter were captured
by a group of White rangers after they
attacked their village, Dances With
Wolves mounts a rescue mission with
his friends: Wind In His Hair & Kicking
Bird.
To helm the film adaptation
was to be Mexican film director &
professor Salvador Carrasco,
though some sources stated that
Simon Wincer, the director of the
first *"FREE WILLY"* film was to direct.
Rumors speculated that
Viggo Mortensen (of Peter Jackson's
*"Lord of the Rings"* film trilogy)
was to star as Dances With Wolves.

i like to think The Incredible Hulk (2008) as a reboot sequel for Hulk (2003) that still ironically "failed"
The 2008 movie was originally the sequel, they just lightly tweaked the script and it's noticeable, I'm one of the few, whom prefer the 2003 movie above the 2008 movie.
This was a amazing video, with alot of good information. I wish they would have made more hulk movies, he is the definition of strength and essentially have every quality there is too be an cool, inspiring, and fierce superhero. I loved all the movies and thought they were received well. l really hope they can and will make another Hulk movie, because they are not giving hulk the justice he had always deserved.
I love Hulk's design in the Incredible Hulk, I love the uber-human approach, it comes across as a science experiment gone wrong.
I love TIH to this day. I think its incredibly underrated and a more darker film when you really look at it. For all the complaints people had about the MCU being cookie cutter and looking the same, TIH still had a lot of that dark character work in it, even after being cut out.
Hopefully Savage Hulk will come back and get the Movies he deserves.

Despised Ang Lee's Hulk as a kid, now I absolutely adore it lol
Fun Fact: Mark Ruffalo was actually considered for The Role of The Hulk in The 2008 Film before Norton but after Norton was fired, Ruffalo took the role in The Avengers.
Liev schriber gerard butler wer cast for role too
That story never made any sense. Ruffalo wasn't ready to lead a summer blockbuster.
It was Marvel that insisted on Norton cause he was more kknown. But the director wanted Ruffalo.
Hulk used to be terrifying but now he’s a disney jolly giant for the kids to play with 😔
I always wondered how the Marvel movies would have been with Edward Norton as Bruce Banner.
Lee’s hulk is under rated
I really liked it when I saw it in the theatre
I wish we got more Hulk movies and I wish Edward Norton was our MCU Hulk I love The Incredible Hulk
Marvel need to give Hulk his balls back.
I liked the first one a lot, it wasn’t amazing but I thought it like was okay like good
Nice…I voted in the poll 😂
