My late father told my siblings and me that if the police ever called him to come and pick us up for something "stupid" that we'd better have a quarter to call somebody else or the police could keep us. "You get in trouble by yourself then you can get OUT of trouble by yourself." We never put that to the test. None of us ever got in trouble. 10 young people in a 5 compacity car while driving 90+ MPH. The ending to this story could have been tragic.
Appsalutely but also important for anyone especially a young person don't ever get into a vehicle with a complete stranger ever .You really could be killed by a wide variety of people don't do it.
You should watch the fatal 126 mph pit maneuver that the ASP did in another video, it was the worst example of irresponsibility I've ever seen! Here in CA, when some driving erratic like that, they will fall back in hopes that the driver will slow down and calm themselves. They don't keep on their ass till they crash.
And the fact that he didn’t KNOW it was loaded with young kids and that they weren’t safely secured in the vehicle and still properly and safely pitted them. 👌🏻
Only thing seems like he would have had them sit in front of his car where the camera is. Sitting on the side of the road like that is a bit dangerous for traffic.
No it starts in gov. Education. You should hear the anti family, anti parent, pro gov. Propaganda they fill these kids with. Truly. I am of the opinion that at no point should neither the parent or child not be held accountable. If the child is too young, then the parents should be held responsible and charged with the crimes.
I agree, what do we do with them ? The army military school. Prison is just a whole new education it will teach them how to be better criminals. So what do we do. Any ideas ? Dam that was stupid an scary. I lived in a state where laws had be passed that police cannot engage in hi speed chasing. My three children husband an I was coming home th of July an a speeding car passed us in our mini van. This was before the laws had changed. The speeders didn't even come close to us however the 3 troopers almost ran my family off the road. On a hyway no traffic late at night. They could see the headlights up the hyway. It was a two lane hyway not enough room for 3 troopers traveling at hi rates weaving around my family split second off goes my passenger mirror one cop passed on the left shoulder. One on my ass one in the passing lane. At first they had no overhead lights on until they got to us. Certainly opened my eyes.
Parents don't parent anymore sadly. The more the generations go the worse it gets. These kids are having to grown up fast unfortunately without any guidance, or the guidance they get isn't what they need. I've told my kids be kids until you don't have to be, let mom and I worry about the grown up stuff until it's there time to learn. Watch/learn what we do and be kids.
They have their lies ready. I was walking around and they picked me up. I was only trying to get a ride to work. They were just dropping me off at my girlfriend’s house.😂😂😂
I have always told my boys if they value their lives. 'Don't ever let me get a phone call from the police because you did something stupid" They would want to stay with the police for protection because if I come down there to pick them up they'd wish that they never got in trouble in the first place. The phone call never came from the police and my boys never got in trouble with the law. Now they are 36 & 33 years old and they have famiies of their own and well adjusted men. I am very proud of my sons for what they have achieved in their lives.
I told my son if I ever found out he disrespected a girl/woman in any way that he wouldn’t need to worry about her parents it the cops…he’d need to worry about me!! He’s 24, living with his girlfriend and tells me he’s still a little afraid of me 😂😂
@@Sdhrjeiwb Right. The trooper was thinking about the public in Arkansas, they never made it to Oklahoma. He was in the middle of ending the pursuit talking with dispatch when the driver continued onto head-on traffic, narrowly missing several vehicles and a motorcycle. Due to the extreme risk to the public, the decision was made to continue pursuit and stop the vehicle ASAP. The trooper even said that to the adult suspect. 👍
And quit funding single family parents. By 5 they should know days, months, their names, birthdates, colors, counting to 1000 etc. parents suck if their kids are dragging down the whole class.
Did that kid really just say “02 is January” when the other kid asked “Is 01 January”? This is the future of our country? Sweet baby Jesus, we are in trouble.
Listening, I hear zero remorse from these kids for the lives they put in danger. This could have been beyond tragic!! I hope the driver doesn't see a driver's license until at least the age of 25. Maybe by then they will understand the words driving is a privilege!! As a parent, I would have let my kid sit in jail for a while to think about their actions.
They should all have to sit in jail. You want to be a criminal, then take what comes with it. These kids are nothing but low life scum. I don't need to know them. To make this assessment, you are who you associate with. Ghetto rats!!! I could wish and hope their parents put a boot up their butts, but apparently, that has yet to work or they just don't think their child is capable of hanging out with such ghetto rats. 🤔 #Clueless
It’s wrong to simply release them to their parents, especially the driver. Should spent at least a day in juvenile detention. In 10 yrs these fools will be breaking into houses, robbing people, doing bank heists, car jacking and all types of crime in Arkansas. They think it’s a game… bruh! And the 25 yr old idiot is a grown man who saw the rest in the vehicle full of teens then decided it was a good idea to ride along.
Wow I felt like I was riding with the trooper and quite frankly I was terrified at every corner of the chase. Amazing video, this jackass kid driver should be sent to jail for several years and never allowed a license again ever!
I think a little harsh. It was a female.and she's young..Don't be so quick to throw away a young persons life . People can learn from mistakes. She's young, she will grow and learn.
She nearly ended 9 other people’s lives by her poor decision. It’s not harsh enough for me! I lost a son and no one wants to lose 9 children and 10 families of losing their child. I’m outraged.
WOW! Just wow! I certainly hope the driver (even if it was a minor) needs to be held accountable for their actions. That driver put so many lives in grave danger. Accountable meaning more than just fines and tickets. I’m glad that no one was hurt.

I thought they were from westville but that is probably to far north. I only say that because of a few stories of kids being made fun of because they could read.
Welcome to BAD parenting. These jokers weren't even afraid their parents were being called. That would have been the undoing of me. It’s sad that they didn’t know what the word legibly meant and that one of the kids really asked “is 01 for January” like, what the hell is wrong with their parents and schooling?

@@johnmichaelkarma The fact they didn't jump out of the car and start beating the driver's @ss says all I need to know. Nine of them and no one could get the driver to stop until they decided to try to switch drivers?! No worries about a jury (driver will plead guilty and the others likely nothing). But more importantly no coroner had to be called out. The other nine: judgment is appalling, but not criminal.
@@lisamorgan2122 "..all I need to know" Yep, all you need to know which isn't much. That fact that when the chase was over and the threat of harm was over, had they "beat the drivers ass" would have made them criminals which then would have given them the status you seem to long for.
@@johnmichaelkarma Perhaps you misunderstand where I come from? If I were in a car with someone driving like that from the police trying to kill me, my friends in the car, and other drivers on the road, I'd be very angry at their attempts to kill myself, the other passengers in the car, and aggressively try to stop them. Perhaps I would not have actually pounded on them, but I would have subdued for the police to be able to detain him and/or been hollering "he tried to kill us all!" I grant you that there may have been one or two victims of circumstance who found themselves in that car, but again where was their defensive behavior to the maniac driving? The bulk of them knew better and all should have verbally and physically insisted the driver stop. Also, I do know, teens are idiots. People should be careful trying to deflect their accountability for the situations they find themselves in because of the choices they make. Don't make excuses for their idiotic behavior. Unfortunately, I've had to pick up a teen when the police called. Similarly he found himself with a group of about ten other boys around his age where one of them had the great idea to go through neighborhoods and tear up people's yards, steal items, and destroy city and private property. Initially they all pointed fingers at each other and no one would take responsibility. In my view it didn't matter so I set out to make sure that my kid knew and understood that even mere bad judgment in life has serious consequences at times. And that at times it can get you killed. I wanted him to know, because I love him, to associate consequences with his judgment and choices. Fortunately, they had to sweat it out for a couple of weeks while the police and the victims decided whether to refer them to the d.a. for vandalism and destruction of property criminal charges, which they ultimately did not. BUT, during that time my son went to each of the victims, apologized, made arrangements to come and repair and replace the damage, and offered other services for free as punitive payment for what he'd done. I made him introduce himself and do the talking. One of the victims, a vet with ptsd, explained to him how lucky he was to not have been shot creeping around his house at 3 in the morning due to his post-war problems sleeping and hearing noises in the night. I also explained to him how lucky he was to not have been shot by the police. That vet had more of an impact on him that any of the sweat and work he had to do as retribution. He spoke to him "man to man" and I could see it in my son's face, something clicked. He copped to his participation, took responsibility and was held accountable for his less than criminal but bad judgment. My son has gone on to live a crime free life. I long for these kids to sincerely appreciate how close they came to being killed because of the sad fact we have some trigger happy and racist officers who don't give two cents about life. Thank goodness for this outstanding officer here or they may well have been killed in an aggressive p.i.t. maneuver or shot bailing out of the STOLEN vehicle the way they did. More bad judgment on their part, as they are old enough to know better. Their parents should kiss them in gratitude of still having them alive and then make sure they understand that other human life has value and they are playing with a serious and potentially deadly matter when they are in a vehicle in this manner. My two cents for what it's worth. Don't care if you agree, but hope you may understand where my head is at. I don't believe in making criminals out of every idiot teen.

I have so much respect for you troopers. You make split second decisions at warp speed, swerving through traffic, while keeping your head on a swivel trying to minimize dangers until a pursuit has concluded and the bad guy grabbed, bagged, and tagged. This driver was a minor and Trooper Bowman had to factor that in. Yet, in the end, if a teen is going to abscond like an adult, and in such a dangerous manner a P.I.T should still be S.O.P. Well done sir!
I remember when we were growing up we were more scared of our parents than the police so we made sure we didn't get in trouble ..these new kids are different
That's because we knew about consequences. My mother always told me if the cops pick me up, I'm not coming home. I was about 9 walking my dog one day and it started raining. The chief of police stopped and offered me and the dog a ride home. I refused because I was afraid I wouldn't be let back in the house...lol. Mom didn't mean it like that, and I sure got wet, but it kept me out of trouble.
I got a speeding ticket once (only ticket I’ve ever had) my mom call the officer who issued the ticket to see if he thought I was racing… he thought she was going to yell at him. When he said no …he thought I was showing off but not racing. She said that I would only lose the car for 3 months but if I was racing they would sell my car. He said since they were punishing me too he would talk to the judge…. I still had to stand up in court by myself ( mom sat in the back row of the court room) plead guilty to the charges and request traffic school. Thanks to Officer Glenn I had to pay $54 in court cost out of my own money and pay for traffic school. But I still got my car back after the grounding. lol. I’m 50 and still try to not speed too much. 😂
...And how awesome they are! Here in California, they will just chase, chase, chase the runaway drivers for the camera's sake. It is pitiful. And LA can't seem to do a PIT to save their lives. They really need the south to teach them how to do a proper PIT Maneuver.
LA law enforcement have to deal with crowded roads when trying to do PIT maneuvers and the people on the streets cheering the offending drivers. I have never experienced such lunacy displayed by so many. PIT maneuvers on country roads is a lot easier than Los Angeles streets and the crowded freeways. But I have to give this Arkansas officer props for pitting these dumb ass teens without killing anyone.

True, but one thing that isn't fair and I have a degree in Criminology, Cyber Security, and Forensics, it's a bit unfair, because I'm sure most of those kids wanted out, but what are they are supposed to if the driver refuses to stop? So I don't think the other kids in the vehicle should get a harsh sentence. I truly believe in my heart they were yelling for him to stop. They were probably scared sh!tless. As for the gun in thr car I'm thinking at least half of the kids didn't know there was a loaded gun in their. I'll never forget an incident with 3 friends, we were all around 13...well we were out at night up to some type of bullshittery-can't recall exactly, probably TPing a house or something. Anyway, one of us spotted a cop car, so we all hid in some bushes. Less than 5 min later, a sheriffs deputy walked up right next to my bush and knelt down until our eyes met. I remember saying "Oh my God", to which he replied "God can't help you now son". He was right, the wrath that my mom unleashed on me was far worse than anything God would have deemed appropriate.
I got caught doing that once when I was younger but it was a different time and the cop just laughed when he realized my own father was our getaway driver. We actually got to finish rolling the yard. But that was in a small one red-light town with only a couple of cops and you would have to sometimes call them to get up if you had a problem because nobody was on patrol. Anyways I would have never fathom at these kids age into doing something like this.
I was hard as shit on my kids! My son gave me a run for my money but my persistence in making him face consequences worked! He’s 26 now & making $85k a year, saving for house.
US are far too lenient on what they call juveniles. Here in England, you are an adult at the age of 16 so you better behave. My son watched as some kids threw stones at windows and he was charged because he was 13. He got a years probation which meant that he could go to jail if anything else happened. At 15, he watched a bunch of kids ripping a fence down at the local pool. He was taken to the police station and they called me. I told them to deal with him as he knew what would happen. My mother went to the station at 2am as she felt bad for him. I did a little, but wanted him to realize that he had done wrong. He wasnt charged, but they kept him afraid for some time. He was more upset that his grandma had to pick him up and never did another thing. Some times you have to scare the crap out of them before they learn. I would have never let my son get away with this behaviour - not that he would dare do such a thing. He is now 37 and a great human being. He would still be under house arrest if he had done this lol

His concern about continuing to chase could cause the driver of stolen vehicle hurting innocent people & choosing to stop his pursuit is admirable and even more admirable that he chose to continue his pursuit and bring them to a stop when the vehicle started driving even more extremely wreckless. It is a worldwide phenomenon. I mention this because the foreign idiots like to criticize. Kuddos to Trooper Bowman considering the safety of the kids and the public, and for dealing with al of those kids in a respectful and athoitative manner!🚓🚓
I have been involved in public safety services (EMS/rescue/fire) over 4 decades. One nightmare that still haunts me is that of 5 young people in a stolen SUV who were trying to run away to Florida. They were fleeing the state patrol, lost control and crashed. Two of the five ended up DEAD. all under 20 years of age. A beautiful young girl with flowing red hair died in my hands as we cut the crushed door to free her from the wreckage. We had two large bore IVs flowing and two helicopters arrived on scene during the extrication process. Bright, full moon. I cried and apologized to her when some of her long beautiful red hair got stuck in the zipper of the body bag. Too much death and destruction. The driver was charged with two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide along with the stolen vehicle and host of other charges related to the theft and pursuit. Two lives lost, three affected for life. I've treated, packaged, and flown out an officer friend that was so badly injured that he was unrecognizable. Nobody wins in these situations. Glad nobody was hurt in this one. Hopefully they learned something.
As a 21 yo nurse working SICU/BU, back in 1971, the things I saw were horrifying. Drunk driver crashed into a deputies car, drunk was fine, deputy has small forehead scratch & spinal injury at Cervical 6-7, with brain stem involvement above C1. His wife came in, 8 months pregnant. He was on a respirator, kept going into cardiac & respiratory arrest. We could not save him. Another crash - 2 young guys. One paralyzed from high cervical fracture, his buddy was burned (2nd & 3rd degree) over 80% of his body - he could feel everything, I don’t think either made it. First responders, ER, SICU & Burn Unit staff are all witnesses to trauma. We don’t forget what we’ve seen. It affects all of us, right down to the tow truck drivers. I don’t think people understand how the trauma we witness is life altering. Much of it could be avoided, kids learning to drive need to see what we see & there has to be consequences for their stupid actions. It’s not just them that are affected. But 50+ years later & it still goes on. Thank God there are people willing to put in the 100’s of hours of training & working in the field to help those who do these crazy actions. This carload was fortunate with no injuries, that is not usually the case. My guess is that they will not suffer any major consequences for their crimes & they will do it again. 🙏 to all who make the commitment to help others & don’t expect anything in return.
Thank You All Police Officers for keeping our streets safe. We need each one of you. Stay Safe. 🦊 You may not have wanted to stop them but stopping them may have saved their ungrateful smart allick brat's and should be Thanking that officer 1000 times, because they could have been treated much different if in New York, Chicago, Detroit. The Officer may have saved others who didn't plan on a funeral that day, So Thank You!
This trooper handled this situation perfectly! You notice how none of the initially unrestrained suspects tried to run away? Where are they going to run? They’re not in the relatively comfortable surroundings of the city, where they have plenty of places to run and hide. Out here in the sticks they can run away and get et by a bear or a mountain lion or a Sasquatch...😂
You need to watch more videos on this channel. People get away from the police all the time. Typically, prior to the internet and RUclips, they only showed police chases on television that ended in apprehension. It gives a false perspective.
I'll never understand people who say you can't outrun the police. And always the same thing; "you can't outrun a radio". Yes... you can, and it happens all the time!
I once eluded an urban policeman by using knowledge of the local street grid to disappear before the officer could even turn on the lights. Today, the officer would probably have an image of my license plate on some video or the other. I had an acquaintance who regularly escaped police on a motorcycle, but today he would probably have wound up on video with his plates.

My dad would have beat my butt, took my license and grounded me until I moved out. Thank God all of the kids are ok and thank God no officers nor general public were injured. In NC they can go to jail at 15 and juvenile jail. At 16 can be tried as an adult. If my son would have done that, number 1 I would have done just what my dad would have done to me. Number 2 I would have taken his license and not let him get them until he was 18. And NO it wouldn't have mattered that I was the law. Nobody is exempt from the law. Especially family of officers
Damn!!! Over 100 mph with the weight of 10 people in the car! I didnt think the jeep could run that fast and handle that well! Even after she slid out on the turn she recovered from it, ran onto the field and got back onto the road😂
I was sort of impressed with the way that particular grand Cherokee handled also. I expected it to spin out on a few of those curves. What I don’t get is how they got 10 people in there. I had a 2016 SRT grand Cherokee …. It sat 5 ….. AND NOT COMFORTABLY.

What in the world were these kids thinking? The one guy says he doesn’t know any of the others, but he gets in the vehicle with them. Lesson: don’t get in the car with strangers no matter what.
Not only don't get in a vehicle with someone you don't know, but don't pick up strangers because you don't know them. Once they get into your car you're responsible for them and everything they bring into your car. I once got stopped driving home from work with other riders in my vehicle, I was giving them rides to and from work. An officer stopped me because he said I went over the yellow line. I explained to the officer that I had 2 cans of soda pop that rolled under my feet toward the door, which I showed him and that we were just leaving work which was only 2 blicks from where he stopped me. Thank goodness the policeman didn't check anyones I.D. but mine. One of my passengers had a warrant out for him and another passenger had weed on him. I stopped giving rides after this and they had to find a different way to and from work. You should have seen how scared those two idiots were. We all lucked out, even me because I didn't get a ticket. Be careful of who you let in your car, truck or any moving vehicle.

They are juveniles so maybe they do not have the right to have them on camera. Just saying!
Juvenile laws need to be changed. They need to be accountable for their actions.
It still starts in the home.

Truly. I am of the opinion that at no point should neither the parent or child not be held accountable. If the child is too young, then the parents should be held responsible and charged with the crimes.
In Islam, when you hit puberty youre held accountable for your actions. Pf course theres still upbringi g and warnings involved.
The fact that they did not seem worried about their parents and the consequences from this worries me a bit.

Parents need to put their phone down more often and interact with their children. Resolve to take the time to raise them.
One of the biggest things I picked up on was when Bowman called the first parents to tell them their kids were detained, they NEVER asked why.
such lovely parenting
The parents were probably thinking "AGAIN??"
if there is one thing you can count on with bad parents.... no fks given...
They are probably the honor students in the family: "Yes, your honor...no, your honor...You won't see me in your courtroom again, your honor..."
@Mark Felder We heard the conversation. Replay the phone conversation.
Best advice ever!

Right?! Then we got the Wood shed and Grounded for a week at Hard Labor!
Yes I agree, was different then I came up in the 70s and 80s
That's because they know parents can't do anything to them anymore 🤷♂️
I live in Arkansas our officers need to know how much they are appreciated they need to know they are cared about God bless them
...And how awesome they are! Here in California, they will just chase, chase, chase the runaway drivers for the camera's sake. It is pitiful. And LA can't seem to do a PIT to save their lives. They really need the south to teach them how to do a proper PIT Maneuver.
...And how AWESOME they are at doing PIT Maneuvers!
AR troopers (aka ticket maids) are only appreciated by their mothers. That said, this guy seemed properly trained and decent.
Good grief! Is everybody in Arkansas sub-literate? You're at about a 3rd-grade proficiency.

This is what sucks when kids try to show off and think they can outrun the police and they can't. A bunch of Dumbass kids.

And the question is: how wise are teenagers? Doesn't wisdom take time and experience?
I'll never forget an incident with 3 friends, we were all around 13...well we were out at night up to some type of bullshittery-can't recall exactly, probably TPing a house or something. Anyway, one of us spotted a cop car, so we all hid in some bushes. Less than 5 min later, a sheriffs deputy walked up right next to my bush and knelt down until our eyes met. I remember saying "Oh my God", to which he replied "God can't help you now son". He was right, the wrath that my mom unleashed on me was far worse than anything God would have deemed appropriate.
Back when parents had some power
I got caught doing that once when I was younger but it was a different time and the cop just laughed when he realized my own father was our getaway driver. We actually got to finish rolling the yard. But that was in a small one red-light town with only a couple of cops and you would have to sometimes call them to get up if you had a problem because nobody was on patrol. Anyways I would have never fathom at these kids age into doing something like this.

Thank the democrats for modern education.

@@willworkforyarn4893 I thought girl for a second at first & even tho a boy nowadays probably just goes by "they"!
I'm 62. We were never THAT stupid!
Same here. We knew enough that if you're going to do stupid shit, be smart about it.
I’m 60. Yes we were. There just weren’t any cameras to document it.
49 here. And hell no. Was too afraid of what my momma would do if i did stupid crap like that! Way worse than police and court system. Besides, i learned what respect was.
Worst I did was shoplift batteries a few times, and that stopped when I got caught. My mom gave me the "more disappointed than angry" speech. I was so embarrassed.
I did a lot of dumb things when I was young, but I was never that dumb.
Great job officer Bowman! You are a credit to law enforcement!❤
34:27 Dude says "I don't even know most of their names". How do you know any of their names if they just picked you up off the street for a ride to work? Maybe that's why the officer doesn't seem to believe you?
40:08 ah, so you are familiar with the people. Maybe should have offered that from the beginning?
*picks hitchhiker up "hi my name is chonkza what's your name"
Because it would take all of 2-3 minutes to learn a couple of their names.
@@seniorchonkza997 Or maybe because they all look the same age, they are friends. It’s not rocket science
@@abikeanditsboy3449 you’d be a terrible cop if you believed “they just picked me up” that’s every teens excuse to a cop 😂😂😂 you’re slow you’d let the little shot walk
I am a disabled former female police officer and what is scary is all of them could have died and/or injured severely. They could have killed so many people driving like that.
What does you being a female, disabled, or a former officer have to do w anything at all here?
@@DogsRule24cool your jets jack no need to be so HOSTILE ! She knows the job … ergo
They all should go to jail and learn a lesson for being stupid for getting into a car with that many delinquents! Stupid is as stupid does!
@@chazethewhiterabbitIm wondering if the others where in the trunk part. That would explain at least 3 more 😂 but im not sure where the other 2 would sit.
Who is "she"? The driver was the dude who had his shirt pulled up over his head.
@@williamwallace9826 driver was a girl
Girl or not... Driving that crazy. It's Pittin' Time! Oh and I have to add again, equal rights is a beast.
It ended up being a male driver. I don't even think there was a single female in the car.
We don’t have equal rights unfortunately. Women have it easy in this country
@@MrNicholas7 hahahaha oh it was the long hair one.
@@MrNicholas7 I thought he was calling the vehicle "her/she".
The stench of teen spirit must have been horrific in that Jeep after the first couple skids.
Hahaha no doubt.. All the different aromas of hormonal puberty funk being excreted through millions of sweat glands all mixed together and coming from 10 different pretty diverse genetic profiles... Yeah, that SUV's interior was marked territory of a lot of people...😂😂😂
Enough funk to kill the K9.
Shut the door you’re letting the stank out.
yeah, they unassed it right quick, didn't they?
No doubt there were skid marks in more places than just the road.
I used to live in AR and still visit yearly. You can tell how beautiful Arkansas is. Glad no one was hurt severely.
They have no respect! I never ever would refer to a police officer as bro!!! I can't even finish watching I'm soooo pissed off 🤬🤬🤬🤬💯
A real clown car situation. Don't forget the seat violation for at least three of them !
"Dag yo, I was jus try'n get a ride to work dawg n these 9 dudes stopped to pick me up brah!" 😂😂😅😂
