ARKANSAS STATE POLICE pursuit and PIT truck - Suspect allegedly armed with GRENADES - watch ASP work

- Suspect in the truck had made several online threats to law enforcement, the Governor, and others. Arkansas State Police take over the pursuit. As the Trooper performs the PIT maneuver, the Trooper's front push bumper locks on to the truck's rear bumper sending both vehicles out of control. Fortunately, everyone was ok.
EDIT: There will be lots of Monday Morning quarterbacking. And that's fine. That is how we learn, grow, and become better. But just remember: There was only one Trooper behind that steering wheel who was given the command to stop a fleeing suspect who was armed. What would you do differently?

Corvette 100% thought he was a goner. He was doing at least 105. Matched the troopers speed and then he heard the sirens. haha!
Lol.. nice catch, and yeah he might have had a cardiac event there!
Saw that as well lol
Wondered if anyone saw that too! Dude’s ahole was most definitely puckered!!
I saw that too! You know thry were shitting bricks for a second or two!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Saw that he pooped all over himself that's for sure... maybe he was carrying the RPGs?!
That was a miracle that the cop that pitted him made it across the road without being hit by oncoming highway traffic
That timing was lucky there for sure would have been better to knock the guy into the bridge supports just 2 sec earlier to finish it off
@@Stratos53100 He tried that.
No miracle, he timed it perfectly.
He would have been sued if there was
@@haywoodjay385 No he didn't, it was pure luck not to be in a head on when he crossed the highway in the wrong direction.
Whoever the officer was who took charge of the scene after the pit was fantastic making sure all the LEOs were safe, the driver was alive, tow truck called and the highway opened up. You could tell his adrenaline was high as he sounded out of breath
But they all were professional!
I wish they would have EMS check the officer that pitted. He can say he's alright and then wake up the next morning and can't walk. I'm a civilian and when I was hit I refused the ambulance. Woke up the next morning and couldn't stand or walk. I had to crawl to my phone to call for help.
Cop was lucky he survived the pit.. not a text book pit at all
@@jamie.777
Yeah really. I LOVE the way Arkansas takes criminals off the road with their pits. But it's amazing that a totally innocent person wasn't flat-out killed the way it was done here.
Keep doing your thing ASP!!

it amazes me how people can camp the left lane even when there is an officer with his lights flying up behind you
In Germany the left lane is used for passing only-- is STRICTLY ENFORCED. Lolligaggers absolutely are not tolerated in the passing lane, and stiff penalties are imposed on those who fail to observe... Should be like that here in the U.S., as well.
Yea and they're usually going slow, and those goddamn truckers need to learn their place, the far right lane...
@@charlesbaker1403 same in US, but cops are often let it go even if they see it, they also very lenient if passers are speeding although it's not allowed, as long as they pass and move over and adjust their speed
Exactly!! What is wrong with those people? Taking entitlement to a new level.
I think arkansas is the worst for that too
The approach to the suspect vehicle and communication from commanding officer was totally on point. Nobody screaming and barking orders while fighting an adrenaline dump. well done.
The only quarter-backing I'm doing is to say thank you...and glad that our Trooper who performed the pit maneuver is ok - he deserves a medal for a job well done IMHO!
Wow, the Team work in that was amazing. From the officers chasing on the roads, the dispatch, to the capture at crash site. Excellent. No confusion. No 5 guys screaming different directions. These guys must get excellent training.
I find it amazing how many cars fail to move out of the way for the lights and sirens.
@ Cake Never help a PIGG as he sure as hell will not help you
People don't use their mirrors and too much sound dampening plus music in the cabin. It's like a car honking it's horn behind a semi. We can't hear it.

Too many tickets and unlawful traffic stops make people behave like that.

Another ASP Officer.
I don’t know who the officer in charge of that scene was but you were phenomenal. You had control, officers responded to you, methodical, absolutely text book communication, never seen it done better. Even down to opening the freeway. Good job that’s why everyone’s alive including the perp. Really impressive
👍👍
Absolutely I was just about to write that the communication was phenomenal. One officer given commands and instructions. They didn’t have to wait for SWAT they took control of the situation.
How is a Cop Car crossing oncoming traffic lanes after jumping the median phenomenal? Seems dangerous to innocent motorists. Video captured by the second car, good thing for those cameras or we'd never really know the details.
Definitely not phenomenal..just plain ass stupid..he says when you get clear of traffic take pit..what's stupid cop do..the total opposite..bunch of innocent ppl all around overpass columns, and then crossing into on coming lanes. Dumb in my book any day.
@@troym1445 dude I’m gonna try once to help u. You take action when it’s safest for the public not criminal cause u never know if your gonna get another chance to do it safely for public. If your chasing someone then the criminal life is in their hands, they ran. Pit when clear of traffic is a valid and correct order given the circumstances know way to know where the car is gonna go that’s going to end up being the responsibility of the criminal for running
I think the people of Arkansas need to re-take their drivers’ exams…few seem to know they’re obligated to clear the lane for police/first responders!!! Up here in the North we’re taught to think they might be headed out to help my family, friend, or neighbor so move over and let them pass! Thank you for all you do!!!
I moved to Arkansas a little over a year ago from Washington State, and I have found that the really bad drivers tend to be in the Little Rock area. This is mostly due to people on cell phones etc. I'd say that Little Rock drivers rate up there with Seattle drivers as being the worst in the US. The rest of the state seems to be a lot different though.
Little Rock is the worst driving I’ve ever seen. Lived there 20 years. I hate going back there

Yeah this cop was pushing the limits nearly hitting several people. Lost loved ones to a cop losing control. Unnecessary
@@cantbsdave Arkansas seemingly goes by "just get "em" rules. most cops won't attempt a pit manuver over 45 MPH. I've seen one on here that was over 105 mph. It was a dodge truck and the that turned on it's side the Arknsas trooper nosed into him the truck rolled the rest of the way over and the trooper ramped off him and took the top out of a telephone/power pole. The Dodge truck rolled about 10 or more times the trooper landed hard after flying through the air for over 100 feet.

One thing about all these videos is that it never ceases to amaze me how clueless some drivers are when police are trying to get around them.
Since most people are looking out their windshield, they may notice cars charging up behind them high speed, and then they've got to react in a safe manner. The cop using the shoulder of the highway ran the risk that a driver might decide to pull over onto the shoulder when they saw the blue lights behind them. That's the normal reaction.
Dummy
Be nice to see them review the tapes and select one lucky driver and send them a warning ticket for impeding traffic.
@@fido3561 Warning my butt. In some cases an entry team should drag them out of their beds for aiding and abetting a felony. Obstructing an officer at a minimum.
I think it is time for the public to start blocking cops in chases to protect the innocents
Thank God that no one was hurt, especially considering that both vehicles crossed the center and crossed oncoming lanes of traffic.
I would have allowed them to shoot this dangerous madman, now the citizens pay his prison maintenance. These kind of people don't deserve to live on.
The police better be the ones thanking god. That idiotic cop could’ve got a whole family killed from that poorly timed pit smh.

WOW, talk about professionalism !! The way ASP drive their cars, I'd swear they are retired Nascar drivers . Super outstanding high speed PIT . Anything faster than 35 mph, and LAPD is afraid to PIT, they just wait until the driver runs out of gas while endangering everyone on the road . ASP, you guys are legendary !!!
Man this really gives me such an appreciation for police. Channels like this have been changing my mind about law enforcement
Exactly 💯 !! Too bad a whole lot more can't see that, a lot of these Police video's are riddled with pure hatred. no matter what the circumstances are or what the suspect/criminald do, the haters bash & blame the Officers & defend the losers. People only see what they choose to see & it's actually kinda scary knowing there are sooo many haters & just plain lack of common sense people/wanna be thugs roaming the streets everywhere. Some of which I'm sure will end up Starring in their very own videos on here in the future, all because they hate, think they are above the laws or think they know better than the Officers. You cannot do pits over 45 mph in most jurisdictions for obvious reasons.
@@btpearce The Arkansas State Police are cowboys. . . Out of control.
Very dangerous. I'm sure they DID NOT FOLLOW PROTOCALL! I know they are not to be used in traffic or over 45 and only when SAFE. They knew who this guy was, so back off, let everyone slow down and everyone gets to go home alive.
absolutely. cop gave 100% control to the suspect in that move. if the guy had countersteered correctly during that initial impact he could've made it out of there and tossed the cop into oncoming at near full speed. (hard left to butt them right at impact-> quick right to pull away -> keep gas steady and countersteer as necessary to prevent spin out)
Instead he went hard left into the cop with no pull away attempt. Cop got lucky af he was dealing with a dumb driver.
That was some nail-biting action! The speeds are terrifying and you guys make it look like a walk in the park. I couldn't do it!
HOW ARE THESE DRIVERS SO FREAKING OBLIVIOUS???

Welcome to Arkansas lol
blows my mind how people do not respond to a police officer behind them and move out of the way..i cannot imagine not moving out of there way..unreal.
My whole body tenses up when people are in the way and take their sweet time moving over.. slowing down the officers 👮🏼♀️ grrrrrr
They’re gonna kill someone for reacting like that for Christ sake! Just do the right thing folks.
My generation was taught better. It's certain things you do and don't do on the road. Driving is 90% common sense and 5% book knowledge.
Also get this.. they brake right in front of them and don’t even move.. forcing the cop to go around them.. they need to mark the left lanes for authorities like fire, ambulance and police and like one of said record their license plates and mail them a ticket.. certified ticket 👍🏼
Remember though the police are moving at 100mph. They come up on you fast.
Unbelievable how some don’t move out of the way of a patrol car blaring sirens and lights and they still won’t move over.
Secondly, I teared up a bit when those 4 officers banded together to approach the pickup while the others laid back but were ready as backups. Such great teamwork with all on scene!! Great job. Great video and God bless the men in blue and keep them safe always. 💕🙏🏼🙏🏼🚓🙏🏼🙏🏼💕
As we were taught in EVOC, your electrical sirens are effectively useless over maybe fifty miles per hour, between wind noise and the speeds you’re going, your lights are doing the work. Mechanical sirens are a bit better, but at highway patrol speed, there isn’t much point with the siren.
Love how he yells " get off your phone " to the driver on the off ramp. Thank you for that

Even the ASP Rookies are this good.
Like others have said, I don't understand how so many people can miss seeing the cop behind them with lights and siren on.... I feel like they just don't care.
Sirens have an effective distance of about 12 feet or less at speed.
Most drivers I know don't drive looking at traffic behind them. You all know that you check your rearview mirrors often, and less often in sparse traffic. You just checked, and ain't nothing behind you,. BOOM, Yeah that's how fast that can change with a car coming to you at 130,40,mph.. It takes a few seconds to get the hell over.
That one Truck had lumbered over into the Monfort lane as another car was merging from the on ramp beside him. That driver got it back over as soon as he knew no one else was beside his rig.

They even were telling him to do it on the radio. Arkansas state troopers will pit anyone at any speed. Well I agree it can be a little reckless, I also think it gives a reputation to their police department and probably stops car chases. Since we can't see these we have no idea how many lives they may save but this one was a little extreme
Great PIT maneuver at such a high speed. The man who took charge afterwards knew his stuff. Great job LEO 👏👏🦮
I have watched this on quite a few platforms and I absolutely LOVE this. These troopers work well together, they communicate effectively and they got each others back. When the secondary takes control, he makes sure to let the number 1 car know he's got radio and to just drive. He takes command and everyone falls in line and works together to ensure the number 1 is okay, telling 40 to get out of his car and how the whole thing is going to play out. THIS is how it should always be!! Nicely done boys.
The Officer (Trooper??) that moved that pickup off the road and stopped it had Real Nerve and Super Driving Skills. Bravo to you, sir!

That was a tough pit. Extreme speeds, being blocked, a couple tires on/off the pavement. Idk how he could’ve performed it better. Maybe advancing farther prior to the turn into the body, but he was traveling at over 100 mph. He did just fine. Glad nobody innocent was injured.
I think the trouble there once I saw the back up cam was how often the guy running kept trying to run him off the road/block him. Don't think he would have had time to get up a bit more into the quarter panel area of the truck.
ASP tries to set records for fastest and most brutal PIT
If he had gone for the right side he would have gone off the right side of the road which would have been better because the cars wouldn't have gone into oncoming lanes.
And right next to the concrete pillars for the roads above. Very daring. Huge respect to that officer!
Very unsafe pursuit, should’ve stopped traffic miles ahead on both sides instead of pitting him and possibly injuring many people… Ridiculous

Arkansas and Maine take turns as the most poverty ridden states. High unemployment, no social services, educational facilities are bottom in the States. Plus shite for medical services. One week in hospital will put you in debt for the rest of your life. Giving birth in hospital may run you upwards of $100,000 if you aren't insured for childbirth. Crime is rife and ill punished. Oh yeah, Arkansas is just great 😃.

May God protect our Boy's & Girls in Blue, This was a fantastic video Police Pursuits ❤👍🏼
The Corvette @2:00 was lucky. He was about the same speed as the trooper at 105mph.
such cooperation so professional all officers great job!!
Awesome display of force!! Thank you ASP!!
It blows my mind at the amount of people that don't check their rear view mirror on the Highway, keep right unless you are passing people!!
Great teamwork and training in action. Cooperation without egos is how you get things done!!
Good command and control by the team leader on the ground. Showing his experience and the his team's. Well done. Glad everyone was safe.
Y'all did an outstanding job! Very professional, kind and effective. Thanks for all you do. God bless you!

I;ve seen lots of pursuits but these Arkansas cops have it down to a science. I rate them as the best at this.
What a pit move, that trooper had some big balls! Great take down 👍
One of the most exciting pits I've ever seen. Great work. Excellent driving.
It was one of the worst pits i've ever seen. Put lives of the public in danger, could easily have wiped out a car or two in the opposite lane. Terrible driving.
@@StuTheMoose Who pissed on your Wheaties ?
@@StuTheMoose Yeah, that criminal put lives in danger for sure.
Worst pit ever. Both vehicles went to the other lanes. Lots of people could have been killed. I hope the cop is brought up on charges. That pit at that point was so stupid.
@@furyfantoo If you meant the cop, I agree with you.
