I myself am going to complete all of the free courses first to get as much information as possible to then not be overwhelmed when I pay and waste money on the course due to lack of knowledge and not successful
I'm going to do all of the free courses then jump into the professor messer complete all 121 vids, labs + practise exam then take up BTL1 I am determined for that gold coin
Bro I agree, after taking CySA and currently studying for BTL1 hands down BTL1 got my vote. I mean if you’re not getting the course from school you have to buy the labs separately, which I did and it wasn’t cheap. The difference with the blue team is you have to actually put what you learned in the lesson to use and solve the problem. Good work as usually young bull.
@@seetsamolapo5600 honestly I used the course material that came with the course. It’s all there, and if it’s something that you need as far as a query or something a quick Google search works.
CySa+ may draw interest from recruiters/hr to get your foot in the door with an interview. BTL1 may help out with hands on and interview questions. Both certs maybe valuable to someone just start off in cybersecurity. I have my Sec+ and think it would be extremely helpful with getting both certs this year.

CCD + CySa is the way to go. CCD for the practical skills and CySa for HR!
Good video You know im the biggest advocate for the CySA+ once someone gets some experience under their belt. I have had some clients ask me aobut the BTL1 and i normally just send them your way lol but great video man
Really great Breakdown of both and very high quality walkthrough!! Super high quality and just overall a gem of a video! You the man and keep up the momentum you are killing it!!
If I understand correctly CySa+ is an overall Security Operations cert. Were as BLT1 is more specialized in two domains of Security operations, Forensics & Incident Handling.
I got BTL1, thinking about going for the CySA+ but I have eveything paid for the PJPT as I actually want to become a pentester. But I like taking certifications, BTL1 was my third one, I passed Net+ and Sec+ before. Idk is it overkill?
@@FaLkraydz It's only overkill if you don't continue going for harder and bigger certs. Sounds like you're steadily climbing the cert ladder instead of only focusing on entry level certs, good work. If you want to be a pen tester then continue studying for an get your PJPT, genuinely the most enjoyable exam I've taken. But then work your way up to PNPT and/or OCSP.
I think after checking all your reviews.. I would do pick SEC+ over Cysa+ (I already have 3yrs experience but need the security Certification). Then I would go on to write the BlueTeamLvl1
Hi Day, how about CSA from ECCouncil? I like the format of Security Blue Team, it has practical questions. I already finished the BTJA path and I liked it so much. I will surely take the BTL1 once I'am done with CSA.
I have 1 year of general IT exp, I have the Network+ and getting my Security+ in 4 weeks after that I want to aim a little hire at mid level/advance certs as far as difficulty how hard is the BTL1? Yes I know it’s only as difficult as much as you’ve been studying and applying knowledge but I’m asking from a standpoint with my current experience level how hard would it be?
@@DayCyberwox not ever the Cisco CyberOps Professional track at as well? I have notice the Cisco CyberOps associates somewhat overlaps with Security+ Objectives.
@@DayCyberwox I guess it all depends where on works at. For example if you work in a SOC and it is a Cisco House . The CyberOps might have higher weight with management but If you work for a company has a mixture of networking equipment then may SBT Track maybe the way to go . Looks Like SBT is vendor Neutral.
Which one’s your pick and why?
BTL1 because I want more practical experience to put on my resume to get a Sec Analyst job/internship. Nice video too.
What your LinkedIn?
Should I go through the free training on the website before purchasing the blt1 course? Or will I learn everything I need to know in the course?

Considering CYSA but BTL1 has garnered my interest lately. Thank you Day, your videos help me make the right decision for me
I rather have a free retake than have a chance to fail and pay $400 again if I don’t pass it the first time 😂 BTL all the way!!
Mine is CompTIA Security + CysA + , BTL1 + CyberOps CCNP
Bro Where can you take all exams offline or online
Good video

The CySA+ is a multiple choice, the BTL1 is practical.
6 domains
Cysa+ for knowledge base nd BTL1 for hands-on, I recommend doing both but cysa+ first then BTL1 after

You want labs for any CompTiA you need to purchase separate certmaster Labs, don’t get certmaster because that’s overkill.
Blue team Level 1 is more beneficial. It gives real life experience
If you get Cysa+ bundle with the retake and the official Comptia course, it comes out to $550, which is almost the same as BTL1.
yeah but one gives you more value than the other 🙂
i would say read up on CYSA+ because it has good concepts and good for knowledge but don't do the exam and then do BTL1 exams

Great vid my man. 1 question, do you think I should do the Introductory Courses in the junior pathway before doing BTL1?
Thanks for the great comparison. Would like to hear thoughts or review of GIAC certs, the ones SANS offer
Haven’t taken any yet. Hopefully I can get one or a couple sponsored by new employer. When I do I’ll definitely make content relating to them.

What do you think about Cisco CyberOps Certification track?
Was considering it but BTL1 covers most of the curriculum and more so I really don’t see the use.

So BTL1 has everything included (training, cert, and retake) for less than $600?
Yes
Great video.
Thanks!
Morning sir, can you compare between security blue team and e-learning security, please?
I'm barely going to take net+ lol but this is a good video
I’m thinking of doing the BTL1 then getting my sec+ and starting at WGU
All the best!
BTL1 it is CYSA later on!!!!! 😎
🔥🔥🔥
Noti gang
Another one
Comptia is overrated.
