      HERETIC! hehe jk 😝😁Appreciate all of the learning that I receive from your channel Sir 👍👍🔍And, I'm happy to know I still have my spleen, since the Docs almost removed it when I was hospitalized after a severe illness a few years ago, which had caused it to swell and almost burst (in their explanation/wording to me as a layperson, I presume hehe). Present day, my Doc is amazed at my overall health and weight-loss that I've since kept for two years, which I attribute to my gained knowledge on keto from you and others you've steered viewers to learn from as well 👍👍😃

    I felt this could've explained more. Your spleen is the major factory for production of antigens cytokines, leukocytes, TNF, and TNFa (alpha) etc. etc. The spleen is paramount to a healthy immune system and the ability to fight off bacterial, viral, fungal, and paracitic pathogens in the bloodstream AND in cellular tissue -- as well as fighting cancer (TNF stands for tumor necrosing factor).
    Your spleen is extremely important!
    Not only does it send antigens into your blood cells BUT it was proven years ago at JHU and NIH that your spleen shunts antigens between layers of fascia to parts of the body that are being attacked at the cellular level by pathogens or cancerous cells. Every system and organ in your body is covered (shrink-wrapped) in 3 layers of fascia. When someone becomes sick with a rampant illness the body can shunt antigens through the fascia directly to the affected cells.
    Auto immune disorders are caused when the pathogen and any "sister" co-infections are running rampant and get into collagen-rich tissues where they colonize and "hide". Lyme disease, certain kinds of bacterial pneumonia, and staff (especially in the case of sepsis and pre-sepsis) are examples of pathogens that "hide" or rather evade detection by human testing. Lyme disease is an example of a disease that actually ALWAYS carries co-infections. It's the spleens job to manufacture all the antigens needed to clear the disease from your body.

    Why do they remove a spleen after a accident instead of letting it heal? My cousin had his removed after a motorcycle accident. My aunt had them wait 24 hrs to allow healing to begin and to lessen blood loss. The doctor did the surgery and said the spleen had already started the healing process and that blood loss was minimal....he preformed a bloodless surgery bc this doctor had been trained to. He said he would heal super fast with less complications. He did!
    The problem now is he catches ilnesses easy and they told him it is bc his spleen was removed that it affects his immunity. Btw he’s 40 now. Any info on this?? Why not allow it to heal?

    • @dbtest117
      @dbtest117 5 лет назад +3

      Bloodless surgery is always the better option. It started with Jehovah’s Wittinesses wanting to keep the commands give in the scriptures.
      But now some doctors and the military prefer bloodless surgery because of the medical benefits.
      The healing process and recovery rates are so much better when there is nothing foreign the immune system have/want to fight.
      When given blood you are also given medications to slow down to the immune system so that it wont push the blood away, so you are much more likely to catch other illnesses both directly from the given blood and indirectly.
      And the body is not able to recover as fast, with some procedures the normal time they keep you under observation after the surgery could be a week or more, and same procedure without blood they send you out the next day. That is how much better the recovery rates are.

    • @Natashahoneypot
      @Natashahoneypot 4 года назад +1

      @@dbtest117 but wh remove the spleen if it can heal and be kept? Do you mean that the giving of blood with medication plus a wounded spleen can cause complication with infection durring the immediate emergency period?

    • @dbtest117
      @dbtest117 4 года назад +1

      @@Natashahoneypot That is not exactly what I meant but yes that would also be true.
      If it can heal, I would not think it's necessarily to remove it. But that is something I do not know enough about to say what would be the best practise.
      My comment is regarding the use of blood in surgery or other situations.
      The medication you are given numbs the immune system which is given to prevent the immune system to attack the transfused blood.
      Blood transfusion is to be likened to an organ transplant, although it's not permanent because blood has a relative short lifespan and will be replaced naturally over time.
      Then with a numb immunsystem you are much more inclined to get infections and other complications either directly or indirectly from use of blood transfusions.
      It's not uncommon for people to die from the complications rather than from the beginning illness. Therefore it's better without it as the body can also heal faster when it's allowed to function as it's meant to. As a consequence you are also hospitalised for shorter time which is beneficial for both the healthcare system and economically.

    Dr Berg,
    I am doing KETO for 112 days. Lost almost 11kg, but belly fat is still
    the same, not a single loss in inches. Waist around the waist bone area
    has decreased, evident by fit of old trousers; but belly fat and fat
    around armpits and chest is exactly the same. my already thin legs and
    neck has thinned but my belly, armpit fat and chest fat is still the
    same. I'm crying :'(
    I have minor NAFLD also.
    Any remedy, please, anyone?

      I suggest you to keep going. You've done more than others, so no doubt you can do it. My guess is that you've lost visceral fat (the fat inside the body, around the organs), so don't worry. :)

    Hi Dr. Berg. I’ve had a pressuring feeling under my left ribcage for almost two years after doing vegan and drinking lots of soy cocoa. I don’t know if it’s linked. After doing Keto for 3 months and losing 12kg as well. It’s nearly gone. Do you think it could be my spleen that was acting up?

    I had an enlarged spleen due to scarlet fever. Does spleen damage cause other health issues?

    • @Natashahoneypot
      @Natashahoneypot 4 года назад

      It would make you susepible to infections because it is part of your immune defence. It may cause blood issues because it cleans your blood. If your blood is not clean you probably feel tierd due to lack of oxygen being effectively carried.

    PLEASE Dr. Berg, if you can, share more on and enlarged spleen because I want to "fix" mine naturally and so far can't find much of anything natural. I do Keto, now, but still feel that pressure of it enlarging at times and can't pinpoint what I am doing different. I love your teachings, and just recently turning a gal-friend onto them and hoping she will stick with you as I have. You are so person to person, and don't talk above average "joe'leens" like me ;)

    I am 53 years old. 8 months ago the doctor found a 10 cm by 10 cm cyst on my spleen. They do not know what caused it. I was in a car accident when I was 16 but no-one checked it back then. They think they can remove it by laparoscopic surgery. He said they never want to remove the spleen unless absolutely necessary.

    Well now isn't it true that if someone gets mono that it kills the spleen. And I believe you can get mono from other people. I would really be interested in knowing the answer to that question. Because there's a lot of young people that get mono from drinking soda and whatnot from each other and then they say that their spleen is damaged.
