      Antonio Sanson they are. Please keep em coming! Maybe do a video on what you could self study before entering a PTA program in order to make it easier once you start? I was an accounting major but long story short, I'm going to work on the prereqs for my local PTA program over the next year. The plan is to then quit my job and just take the main PTHA classes for 2 years. I always like to learn some core foundations of classes before I actually take them. I guess that wasnt a short story but.. it would be a very appreciated video!!

    Antonio your awesome 👏. So authentic, easily best channel to watch on pta. As a pta is there any math on the job cuz that’s my worst subject? I understand there’s a math class in college but on the job is there any algebra/trig or geometry or addition and multiplication and ect? My god brother who is a physical therapist said there isn’t on the job... just in college. What do u say?

      Bryan H first of all, thanks for the nice comment bro!
      And yah your brother is correct. You don’t use math like at all on the job only to like maybe count how long you were with a patient and how much you should bill them. But it’s very simple.

      Jonathan Seier glad you like the channel!
      Hahaha that’s funny.
      So I’m not exactly sure on the difficulty level. I would think that you would actually have more of an advantage because you will have more experience from being a pta.
      Mehgan (the girl in the other videos) has made the transition from a pta to a pt so we are going to be making a video on it in the future covering that topic.

    • @AntonioSanson
      @AntonioSanson  6 лет назад

      Roberto Mares thanks man,
      This is the education requirement straight from the fsbpt website:
      Education. Have a degree appropriate for the exam level from a CAPTE accredited institution, or have an education that has been determined to be substantially equivalent by a recognized credentialing agency.
      And in mid 2018 they are changing some of the education requirements. This is what their website says also:
      Proof of Educational Equivalence. Graduates from non-CAPTE accredited programs will need to demonstrate that their education is substantially equivalent to the education of individuals who graduate from CAPTE-accredited programs, as determined by a recognized credentialing agency. When registering for the exam, candidates will need to enter the following information: 1) the name of the agency that performed the evaluation, 2) the name and version of the evaluation tool used to complete the evaluation, and 3) the outcome of the evaluation (substantially equivalent or not equivalent).

    I am interested in being a part time PTA because I want to work on my own personal artwork which is important to me. I noticed there are listings of part time PTAs in the US but are they as common or less common as full time positions? I would like to start out part time and if I am ready to move to full time I like having that option.

    • @AntonioSanson

      Ana Bass I mean it definitely depends on where you live and what setting you want to work in.
      I think you can find both full time or part time jobs though.
      You might be able to get a full time position maybe just a bit easier but I think they would be pretty similar.
      That’s cool that you are into art!

    Up until today I was pretty dead set on becoming a PT, but I think I'd rather become a PTA. I really want to work with dancers, and while I know that they wouldn't be my primary/only patients, do you think that as a PTA there are a decent amount of opportunities to work in the performing arts field? So far all my research just points to PTs in the performing arts field.

    • @AntonioSanson
      @AntonioSanson  6 лет назад +4

      Farrah97 I actually don't have too much knowledge on this subject. I have a friend who started a clinic at a dance studio and she is a PT but she is at the point now where she is hiring PTA's to help her.
      so it is definitely possible to treat dance related injuries you just have to get in network with the right people.
