    Awesome Video! Love the Energy! I am looking into expanding my career into becoming a PTA and this video was very helpful with ideas of places I can work. I like the outpatient setting or the sports training setting.

    I was a former traveler PTA in Tx now working @ outpatient. Traveling is lucrative but if you want to learn and improve your skills, outpatient is the way to go.

    Hey man, your youtube channel is excellent. My name is John, I am also a PTA, practicing in AZ. I know that it varies to the setting you work at, system/software that you use and etc for documentation but can you make a video re: PTA documentation, tips on how to write effectively/efficiently~ like words that are useful, without getting too much detailed, how to multi task with pt/client care and documentation and getting out of work on time with good productivity. Thanks a bunch.

    1. Do I have to have a BA to be a PTA educator, sales rep or director? Wondering if I have to plan for this prior to taking my prerequisites for the PTS program.
    2. Will I have a PT to report to or review with if I work at a company's business with their staff or home care?
    If I need guidance hoping to have a PT to speak to.
    3. If I work in hospitals, will I have to help patients with personal clean up (heard stories).
    Thank you.

    Thanks for all this helpful info, Antonio! I have a question. I am trying to figure out if I want to be a physical therapy assistant. I have all my basic core classes for general education and I’ve learned that science is not my best subject. So, what’s intimidating me is getting into the program and doing well if I got in! Im so interested, but I wonder if I would be a very good PTA if that’s not my strong area?? Any tips or advice?

    • @AntonioSanson
      @AntonioSanson  5 лет назад +2

      I see what you are saying. It depends if you can keep up your grades to get through the program. Its possible to become a PTA but you might have to work harder than someone that science comes easier to if that makes sense. There is a lot of assistance to help you out along the way if you need it though if this is what you really want to do!!

    Im very interested in traveling physical therapy or sports pt! I just don’t know how the process of traveling pt is, or how hard it really is. I have tried asking around and researching but I cannot find the information I need. Please let me know where I can go to find more information about traveling pt!

    I'm really interested in this field! Do you have to be physically fit to be in this field? I don't exercise much, but I try to eat healthy as much as possible. Which type of PTA are you? Which setting do you work in?

    • @AntonioSanson
      @AntonioSanson  6 лет назад +5

      Miriam I. That’s great!
      No you don’t have to be incredibly fit to work in this field but you should be at least making an effort to be an example for your patients.
      I work in an outpatient clinic that mehgan and I own.

    • @naturallymillenium
      @naturallymillenium 6 лет назад +4

      Antonio Sanson okay! Thank you for replying :). I also was gonna ask if an introvert, like me, can work in this field, but I remember last video it was stated that Mehgan is an introvert so I guess that's a yes!

    • @AntonioSanson
      @AntonioSanson  6 лет назад +4

      Miriam I. Haha yah you can be an introvert! I feel like you can even use that as a strength to connect with patients who might also be introverted or embarrassed because they are in therapy.

    Hi there! I’m thinking about being a PTA! Which schooling is better? A community college or a specialty school? Such as a school that only teaches PTA courses.
    Thanks!

    • @AntonioSanson
      @AntonioSanson  6 лет назад +1

      Déja Cordero I don’t have a ton of information on that question but I would say that in the end they would be similar, both schools are training you to have a basic entry level understanding of being a pta.
      I’m posting a video in a few weeks that talks about what school you should choose so maybe some of those tips could help more when choosing a college.

    Antonio, awesome channel!
    I've been an orthopedic massage therapist for about 8 years and I'm considering applying to a PTA program at Bay State college in Boston. I'm sure different programs require different qualifications, but do you know if having a background in MT would improve my chances of getting accepted into the course?
    Thanks man, you're killing it on these videos. I really appreciate the effort

    • @AntonioSanson
      @AntonioSanson  6 лет назад +1

      It can! sometimes if you have background knowledge in the health field it will give you a better chance of getting accepted into a competitive program. And I feel like you will already have a little bit of base knowledge with the human body so with the schooling it will help you too.
      Thanks for the support!

      I am in PTA school, you need to know the muscles like the back of your hand! Even nerves, arteries, what they do, what bone they attach to, how to stretch that muscle, different bones, common bone/muscle injuries, how to strengthen different muscles.... if you know all of that then you will be a rockstar by your first semester:) I hope you get in!
