    Can I just say. You guys are good.
    I've listened to a lot of reviews whilst I decide which earbuds to purchase and many people go on about sound quality and highs and lows.
    You however focus on what matters to the buyer with things like touch controls. Opening and owing the case. How they are day to day. Let's be honest. Unless you have great systems to play sound at home your not going to need to worry about the quality of sound they will all do that job.

    Found your guy's videos recently and really enjoying them. Something I'm curious about that'd I'd love for you guys to investigate in a video: do foam ear tips improve active noise cancelling on any of the wireless earbuds you've been testing recently? If they improve ANC, is that improvement universal on all earbuds or does it improve some significantly more than others?

    • @DHRME
      @DHRME  2 года назад +2

      Foam tips may give you a better seal and that improves passive seal and consequently ANC.

    • @greath7513
      @greath7513 2 года назад

      @@DHRME That's what I figured would likely happen, my only consideration is that the ANC on ther earbuds is programmed for their own "silicone" tips... so maybe the ANC goes overboard and becomes worse? Maybe the foam tips mess with the in-ear mics? Thought it might have some interesting findings with so many earbuds to test.

    • @CaesiusX
      @CaesiusX 2 года назад +1

      @@greath7513 While I can't answer to the technical aspects, I can say that when I've gone back and forth between foam and silicone, I've only ever noticed an improvement with ANC. Already the foam tips make it so that I hardly ever use ANC as it is.
      Now, I'm just thinking out loud. . .but regardless of the adjustments the software makes, the in ear mics are still going to be outside of the area where the ear tip is, right? Then wouldn't it be somewhat comprable to my putting in earplugs, then putting on my Sony WH-1000XM4 over the ear headphones 🎧?

      I find the soundcore _Liberty 3 Pros_ to be phenomenal when it comes to classical music. Particularly when you have an outstanding recording in flac format while using LDAC.
      But for transparency's sake, in an attempt to get the most from my hi-res earbuds, I also use the _ExtremeMusic™_ app (standard App Store version, not root version). 🎶🥰🎵

    Also, I disagree with your assessment of which mic test came out better, as I found the Jabra to only be a bit more bassy in the quiet test, but the other two were inferior, especially the wind test, where it had major distortion when facing the wind.

    I'm an owner of very First version of SoundCore Liberty earbuds. I loved them, but one of their annoying features was on the calls - when I'm speaking - I can't hear if person on other side wants to intervein and say something (until I stop talking - only then person can inject something) and vice-versa - if other side is talking I can't interrupt them and say something.
    While it's useful for politeness of the conversation :) - sometimes it's really not what you want.
    I've never seen any test in this regards. I'm thinking of "upgrading" now to a new Soundcore, but was wondering if this issue still have it's place (I suppose they've got better in years, but are they?).

I only have the occasional half-second disconnect, roughly once or twice in 5 hours of listening, and it happens when the batteries are low. and it doesn't always happen. i'm using hi-res flac 24 bit 96kHz at 3000kbps tracks, of course 3000kbps doesn't reach them all but the experience is amazing!

I've got to say though, I got a little spoiled by my _Galaxy Buds +_ as they automatically switch to ambient mode when I switch to the phone, which I definitely prefer. I don't like not being able to hear myself talk when on the phone. While of course the Soundcore _Liberty 3 Pros_ have ambient mode, I have to switch over manually.

    I owned both of these buds for a while now and would like to share some thought.
    1. Jabra Elite 7 Pro has "true" mono mode. When using just one bud, Jabra combined both left and right channels so I can hear the whole thing out of one bud. Soundcore L3P doesn't do that. Some of the songs I listened to only show one channel only and you can tell something was missing. Very disappointing because I've had the same problem since L2P and really hope Soundcore would fix this with the new generation.
    2. Multipoint. I found that switching between devices with 7 Pro was smoother. If I play something on phone 1 and suddenly play something else on phone 2, the 7 Pro would switch right away automatically. L3P doesn't do that. When I play something on phone 2, there would be no sound unless I stopped whatever that was playing on phone 1 first. Not big deal but you know Jabra nails this one better.
    3. Just like you guys said in this video, L3P does have a better ANC. I can at least tell the difference between ANC on and off. The ANC on 7 Pro was a joke. There's no difference at all between ANC on or off.
    4. Agree with you guys on transparency mode. Jabra does it better. L3P produced too much white noise while 7 Pro sound a lot more natural. Not to mention I can increase or decrease level of the transparency mode to my liking.
    5. Control. With L3P, the touch function is like hit or miss. I'd prefer the actual button on 7 Pro. However, having different control sets in single mode of the L3P is incredible.
    6. Sound quality. With all the EQ settings available for Soundcore app, it's lightyear ahead of any competitions out there, let alone 7 Pro.
    7. Comfort. Both of these buds are the most comfortable earbuds you can buy right now. Jabra was a little better because of the size and how it can fit in the ears very easily.
    8. Microphone. I've been having an issue with 7 Pro's left earbud since day 1. People always complain that they couldn't hear me or there was too much background noise. It was so bad that I couldn't even use both earbuds at the same time to make a phone call. Once I put the left bud back in the case, the other parties could hear me right away. L3P doesn't have this problem. I can switch between left or right with no difference.
    9. Switch between ANC, OFF and transparency on Jabra is so much easier. I'm using an Android phone and it shows on drop down menu which mode the earbuds were on and I can switch them without having to go back to the app or press the button on the buds. L3P only let me switch by using touch control, which again-a hit or miss, or I have to go back to the app.
    On that note, 7 Pro could be perfect if I don't have trouble with microphone on the left bud (I sent it back for replacement twice but still has the same problem even after the update).
    On the other hand, L3P could also be perfect if they fixed the mono mode to combine both left and right channel and reduce the white noise in transparency mode.
    The search for a perfect pair continues.......

    Debating on buying the Sony WF-1000XM4 or the Liberty Pro 3. New subscriber

    • @CaesiusX
      @CaesiusX 2 года назад +12

      I can only speak for myself, but after I purchased the *Liberty 3 Pro's,* I then sold my *Sony WF-1000XM4's.* I did this primarily to pay for the *L3Pro's* However, I'm a Sony fan through-and-through. I still have my *WH-1000XM4's* (🎧), and my favorite phone and tablets have been Sony.
      I personally found the *Liberty 3 Pro's* to sound better right out of the box. But agan, that's a personal thing with me. The L3Pro's* sound signature is _absolutely perfect_ IMO. I had to keep using an EQ with the Sony's. And I listen to a lot of different genres, so it was also getting tiresome switching and tweaking the EQ each time.
      Also, for me, the XM4's didn't have the securefit that the soundcore *Liberty 3 Pro's* do. And tbh, if you don't have the _correct ear tips_ for you, those things will just hang out of your ears waiting to fall out. I can't even tell you how much I spent on earbud tips trying to get that (and comfort) right. But when it is right, then they can be relatively secure.
      I also would get ear fatigue and soreness after about an hour with the XM4's. So, after a lot of testing, I found *SpinFits™* tips had this patented joint which actually put an end to the pain and they were comfortable for hours. _However,_ I have found that the silicone is so thin and pliable that you lose significant bass.
      I guess after using the *SpinFits™* for a while my ears were now used to the shape of the XM4's, and I was able to go back to *Comply™* earbud tips without any fatigue. . .And I got solid bass back.
      I couldn't really afford to buy the *LP3's* at the time, but they had everything I wanted. . .primarily being hi-res certified, LDAC, etc. And as soon as I tried the out the L3Pro's* for a week, I put my Sony *XM4's* on eBay and recouped the cost.
      I actually plan on buying another pair of *L3Pro's* down the road, as a backup.¹ I mean, it's one thing to know you've got X amount of hours if you put it back in the case to charge. But you're still having to wait while it's in the case.
      Now, I also have _Jabra 75t, Samsung Galaxy buds Live, Samsung Galaxy Buds+_ and _Pamu Nano_ earbuds. So I'm not new to earbuds in general. Those others have been quite satisfactory (each in their own way). But nothing beats that hi-res sound in my opinion. Although, now that I've had hi-res via Sony and Soundcore, perhaps I should just say _"Nothing beats that Soundcore sound, IMO."_
      For now, those others serve as backups. Especially if I'm going to be doing something where they might get dirty, dropped or lost. But with the price point of the *L3Pro's,* the thought of losing them doesn't freak me out quite as much as the thought of losing the Sony XM4's did. 💸 😬
      Sorry for the length of this reply. Hopefully you'll get some feedback from some others and be able to make a somewhat informed decision. It's really tricky since we're all different. But that's one thing that makes Amazon pretty great. If it doesn't work out, you send it back and get another.²
      ··•✺•··
      ¹ ─ Plus, I initially ordered the fog gray. I didn't want to lose them if I dropped them on the floor, in the shadows, etc. But they're a bit flashy, so my backups will definitely be black.
      ² ─ -Turns out I've been having problems with my -*-L3Pro's-*- in the past hour.- -They keep turning off after a few seconds.-
      -Now, I saw a message pop up which just said something about -_-private-_- or -_-privacy listening disabled-_- (or something like that).- -It likely has something to do with it, as it popped up immediately after this started happening.- -It wasn't in a notification, but literally a pop-up that quickly came and went.- I'm hoping it's a _phone thing._ But if not, I can at least send these back as I'm still in my return window. I may even be able to exchange them for black ones. To be clear, I've not heard of this happening to anyone, and I've been doing a lot of looking around in the last hour. I clearly did something, I just don't know what.
      ❗ *NOTE: I tried the Samsung earbuds and the Jabra earbuds, and they're doing the SAME THING. So it's not the earbuds, but rather something in my phone went cuckoo.*

      I am listening to my *L3P's* right now,¹ and I am *thrilled* with the punchy bass and crystal clear mids and highs! 🥰
      I am surprised to hear you say that the *Galaxy Buds+* don't stay in your ears well. Are you using the wings? If you are, and they are a comfortable size, it may be that the ear tips are too big, they may be pushing back against the wings.
      I think there are two ways to wear earbuds. Some people like to have ear tips that just seal around the ear canal but do not go in. And others like the tips to go in a bit. If it's the former, then your ear tips may be applying opposite pressure pushing the earbuds outward. But if they're just small enough to slip into your ear canal a bit, then you might have a better fit.
      Granted, it's unlikely we'll have the exact same preference, but I'm currently using the medium wings (the default wings that are on them when you get them) and extra small (SS) ear bud tips from _SpinFit._ I've also ordered some small foam tips to replace those. They should arrive today.
