I had both of them. I had to make a choice within 30 days and I had returned the Sony. Now I have been using the Jabra Elite 7 pro for about a year and I totally agree with this review.
Spot on the ball great review, I just got the jabras in Gold beige and I love em! Even with the small eartips default which were a little bit loose, the noise cancelling was way better than my beats fit Pro - which have the overall best fit of any ear tip I've used. They barely fall out even in basketball, scooting, cycling running etc. I've lost my XM4s in public transport and I got these Jabra's at a special discount from a retailer. One of the best headsets I've ever got. Still prefer the beats fit Pro in terms of signature beats sound but these surprised me with the overall package of ANC, hear through which literally is night and day (a loud talkative woman on the phone on the bus was shut up with these!) It's as if I was in my own room in near silence! And he is so right about sound accuracy. Was missing the beats oomph but yeah So glad and would recommend as a daily driver. The XM4S are however world class hi fi entertainment Netflix and chill kinda headsets. I fell asleep with them still on most of the time! XM4s for home use and Jabra's for out and about!
I currently bought the Jabra elite 7 pro. I tried out the xm4's awhile back and im not sure if its just me but the bass doesnt sound as punchy. I tried the jabra eq on the app and a different EQ. Im thinking maybe the sound is differnet than what im used to
I have used both and ultimately I would say that Jabra is the better option especially for sport active users. Sony does have a better app for sound modulation compared to Jabra. Sony touch sensitive button is a big nuisance and an unnecessary technology adaptation when a simple button does the job. I love boxing , sometimes simply clinching the bag activates the play/pause and more often just a slight graze of my head against the bag will dislodge my earphone. Jabra so far latches better on your ear. Both earphones requires the case to turn off the earphone, sometimes youre just lazy to place them in the case, both will automatically turn off when not in use, however Sony earphone automatically turns on when it detects movement ( again unnecessary tech) so placing them in your pants will run the battery down till it reaches zero . Jabra simply allows you to hold on the button to turn them on

100% buy jabra 7. For comfort , lightweight, , sound quality. Best apps Go test first of before buying. I can wear jabra for sports if fit my esr better no easy to fall off
Nice review mate. I've been using Jabra Elite 65t for several years now and absolutely love them, but looking at upgrading mostly to something that can give me some extra battery life. The 65t can go for about 3-4 hour of continued use before i have to put them into the charging case. Was going to get Elite 85t, but then made an impulse purchase and got these WF-1000 XM4 and now after watching several reviews and reading up a bit about them, I just don't see myself enjoying these as much as the Jabra's so will most likely be either giving these Sony ones as a Xmas gift or sell them and get the Jabra, which brings me to my question...Jabra Elite 7 Pro or Elite 85t? Happy to consider any other alternatives of course.
Choose the Elite 7 Pro if you want an earbud with a sealing earbud that removes outside noise. The 85t has an oval shaped ear piece that doesn’t completely seal inside the ear. This gives a more open type of sound similar to that of the original Air Pods.
Elite 7 active, they are fully rubberized/ covered. 7-8 hours of battery life still after a year and a half, they fit great. Never fell out on me. And I work in construction, I literally use the ANC to protect my ears when I'm cutting wood with my saw or power tools. They are the best jabra has to offer.

Not correct on the controls. Yes, both theoretically have the same options available, BUT with the Sony you have to choose which ones will be active at the same time, you can only have 2 of 3 sets of options, while the Jabra UI managers to make all options available at the same time, always. In practice, with the Sony you have to drop either volume controls, or ANC/Passthrough toggle or music track controls. Pretty awful.

Mate I would still buy the Jabra. The Sony earbuds are only good for ANC and other than that it falls short on almost every category. But the most important drawback is the sound quality. The jabra sounds way better

Sony XM4 does not have multi-point support. If it has kindly make a video on how to connect 2 different devices (different company and type) bcoz I know Samsung can multi point the XM4 by Samsung’s music share.
There is a hacky way to get multipoint on the XM4 earbuds that I found from Reddit. Maybe I can make a video out of that. But you are right, there is no straight forward way to swap devices.
I tried it after I saw this comment and can confirm that it was not the nicest feeling. My ears were constaly under pressure when I was lying sideways. Though there was no accidental touch control activation
@@kigmasterI own the Jabras and the buttons don’t activate when lying on your side unless you place your hands under your head when sleeping or something like that. I actually use them to sleep through thunderstorms with the ANC on. I also tried the Beats Fit Pro which also have physical buttons, and the buttons one those are really easy to press accidentally, so I wouldn’t recommend those for lying on your side
I had the sennheiser momentum 3s but they broke 2 times in half a year so i didnt want them a third time and the employee recomendet me these two earbuds and i decidet to take the sonys because i have the xm3 overears too and i like them (but even them are not as good as the sennheisers soundwise in my opinion) and now i'm pretty disapointed by the sound,the max volume and the eartips wich doesnt fit my ears at all so i have to use silicone eartips i had at home which made them better but still.... now im hoping that they break too so i can change them 😂😂😂 does anyone have some recomendations for me? And no you cant test earbuds before you buy them where i live
I stuck with the Elite 7 Pros myself after trying the XM4, Linkbuds S, Beats Fit Pro, and AirPods Pro 2. XM4s were somewhat disappointing sound-wise and were uncomfortable because of how big they are, but had really good ANC, Linkbuds S were basically better fitting XM4s for cheaper with a slight downgrade in ANC, but both them and the XM4s made annoying metallic pinging noise when I tried wearing them on runs, so they were also a no-go. AirPods Pro 2 would have been the best overall package if they managed to stay in my ears for more than 10 minutes since they sounded great, had really good ANC, and imo the best transparency, but on top of not fitting securely they also got uncomfortable for long-term wear. The Beats Fit Pros actually stayed in my ears better than any other buds thanks to their wing tips, but also got uncomfortable pretty fast like the AirPods since I believe the body of the buds share the same design, and they were also a downgrade from the APP2 for sound, ANC, and transparency. That left me with the Elite 7 Pros which aren’t the best in any one category, but fit me the best, and are great all-rounders, particularly for sound, transparency, and app controls. Physical buttons are a big plus for me too.
The Jabra wins. Sony screwed many WF-1000 XM4 owners with firmware 1.4.2 released in July which kills proper charging/battery life in one ear bud. If affected you're lucky to get 1 hour of usage before one bud shuts down. I will NEVER buy another Sony ear bud product.
This is an illusion guys jabra elite 7 pro is compeltely messed up when it comes to mic quality, it garbles your voice when in noisy environment i was shocked to have paid so much and received garbage. Had to sell them for half price on ebay as Jabra wont refund, just another pathetic autocratic brand.
