Did you get a chance to see the cover band Alive, at the Brique near St. Laurent....around 1992 or so. They played the Alive LP from beginning to end - exactly as original. Spiro guy who worked with KISS was the Gene
I saw them about a month after this in Knoxville, TN. It was sad. The arena was a 10,000 seater. There might have been 1,000, 1,500 tops in attendance. I felt bad for the band.
I've never seen Vinnie use anything but his Charvel V before. also, nobody knew it then but in thd first section of his solo section, he introduced the world to what would become the Vinnie Vincent Invasion
Good to see what I missed. I saw their Worcester, MA. show on this tour at The Centrum. State fire marshall would not approve their pyro application(so there goes a good part of the show), Stanley took a digger half way through the show, and as a result didn't move around a lot afterwards, and then Vinnie Vincent guitar wanking through almost every song. To the point Simmons and Stanley would start singing over his solo to get him out of it. Strange night
Lifer KISS ARMY SINCE 1976.and I don't care, I love this line up at times the most, certainly best studio album and sorry Vinnie fit..look at his stage moves....he never moved onstage like this before...almost like alien moves ...dude fit and I wish I could show all if you my amazing VV double sided airbrushed shirt
Creatures might be my favorite KISS album. It's KISS as heavy metal; I love the songs, and it was Eric's best drumming "as himself" and not "playing the part of Peter". Live he was insane and really changed KISS' sound. I'm so glad I was able to see him live a few times. I've only seen VV on video and I really wish I had seen him live, too. He was amazing and was a great contributor to the band. ~ Caretaker
There is no denying how great they are here. I've been on board since '76 as well. Eric is so energetic here and provides such a solid foundation that him being on top of a tank is fitting. Vinnie was a killer addition. It is easy to see why they went with him to replace Ace. It's a shame it didn't work out. After that they exaggerated tempos live and the songs felt very different.
i like the revenge/kiss alive 3 version of creatures of the night.. Bruce really elevated the solo that Ace did. no offense to Vinnie and tommy or even mark st john but Bruce and Ace i think are the best guitarists kiss ever had..
Its a damn shame there are no pro shots of the Creatures tour. But I was there in Rupp Arena when it wasn't even a quarter full, so I understand the desperation that was in play at that point.
I think Vinnie was a great replacement for Ace. He had his own unique style of solos and he, was a great song writer, and interesting, looked a bit like Ace in his make up and costume.
Dear Tolvis, I shall henceforth be sober and serious, for we need to stay together and stay on top of the vast oceans of recorded KISS concerts with Vinnie Vincent and Bruce Kulick. I returned here now to say, although it sounds like I am "sticking it". Are you aware that it actually exsists TWO.... SEPARATE film recordings from this sinlge KISS concert? But lesser known is in higher quality, and is filmed right up front center, closing in on Vinnie Vincent, not by zoom-effect, but by reason of standing two meter in front of him, ducking down and filming him. But the duration of that Oscar-winning production is as I said short, 15 minutes or so. Spread the word.
@@tolvis77 Oh but dash it don't you know, I mean dash it, isn't your name Spencer Jones, the chappie who borrowed a fiver from me at the Eaton-And-Harrow last year (In short: I had a change of heart in the two hours since I, being of unsound min, spoke in feverish dreams). I can appreciate Vinnie's song writing skills in Creatures and Lick it Up; but his solo style doesn't appeal to me at all, especially live. I miss the melody. I could never hum one of his solos.
If Kiss had there last show in makeup in Rio in 1982 how could this be in 1983? Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley have both said Rio in 1982 was there last makeup show of this era.
Why vinnie was changing the guitar solos and accommodating them to his needs will never suite me or any one in the KISS camp including the fans. The tour was cut short from poor ticket sales, but couldn’t they have at least played the palladium in New York???
One reason why he wasn't a good fit. Not that he wasn't good. Firehouse solo for example on here is horrendous. Bruce was a fantastic player and played a lot of the classic solos. Tommy plays them all note for note and I think that's part of what landed him the current job for so long.
If they could have, they would have. The Palladium could have been a warm-up gig, like on their Unmasked tour. It's not really a venue to pencil in on an arena-type tour, otherwise.
@@Beachbum4ever for sure. Bruce used to play his own style solos for a lot of the Kiss classics. I saw them live with Bruce and Eric Carr at least four times.....and a few with Eric Singer.

Man, sooo many Montreal sourced bootlegs. Our once great city is gone not forgotten. Bar Le Moustache on Lambert Closse next door & the Texan resto
Did you get a chance to see the cover band Alive, at the Brique near St. Laurent....around 1992 or so. They played the Alive LP from beginning to end - exactly as original. Spiro guy who worked with KISS was the Gene
Thank you !!! 🤙
Damnnnn they were heavy AF and on fire
Cool...och gillar din Historia från Awake turnén i Köpenhamn.
Synd att man missade den turnén.
Och du gillar denna?...den ska på en remix ”snart hoppas jag”.

I bet Vinny encouraged them to play I want you it is a killer riff🤟🏼
NO ONE ENCOURAGED GENE !!!!!!

A@TMissfelony. Would love to see that shirt.! Yeah he fit with me also. Saw LIU tour but not Creatures and he was just amazing.!!
@@supernoah71I liked the faster tempo & heavier sound of the 80s Kiss !
Saw this in Richfield OH on 2/22/83.
i hope Vinni doesnt find out i watched this i will end up with a bill for $500 in my mailbox lol
A solo for more of 30 seconds for me is an abuse note how's gene Simmons clearly says something to Vinnie this response 5:46
uno de los pocos videos de esta epoca ,lastima la calidad tan mala, gracias igual
i like the revenge/kiss alive 3 version of creatures of the night.. Bruce really elevated the solo that Ace did. no offense to Vinnie and tommy or even mark st john but Bruce and Ace i think are the best guitarists kiss ever had..
Ace didn't do that solo.
@@billseegmuller6848 he was on the album
@@Killerofdemons666 He was on the album cover, but Ace didn't play a note on that album. Look it up.
Saw creatures tour in Detroit with my sisters when I was 12. I remember seeing Vinnie Vincent and it blew my mind like “where’s Ace”? 😂
No bombs no smoke no fire on the intro holy crap what a difference from today , el broke then
At that time they were at a low place as far as attendance at shows in America. But in other countries they were still regarded as rock n roll gods.
Its a damn shame there are no pro shots of the Creatures tour. But I was there in Rupp Arena when it wasn't even a quarter full, so I understand the desperation that was in play at that point.
Sounds great!
I think Vinnie was a great replacement for Ace. He had his own unique style of solos and he, was a great song writer, and interesting, looked a bit like Ace in his make up and costume.
Exelente !!! Gracias x subirlo
Love this!
My hometown
Paul plays a bit of " Im a Legend Tonight " in his solo......
Saw this tour in Kansas City. Place was half full. They weren't as popular back then.
Tremendo show!!!
Muchas gracias desde Madrid!
Looney Tunes Theme 29:19 - 29:35
Great show
Better sound!
Vinnie even rips off Page’s bow section from Dazed and Confused.
So I am confused by what Paul says after the the first couple of songs, are we going to have to call the Dr. or the Firehouse????
Brilliant tour the best outside of Gene Peter Paul Ace.
Please share that video if you have it. I only know of the first song shot in the photo pit for a tv channel, but it's 5 minutes, not 15.
YES WILL POST THE VIDEO OR SEND IT! ALL THOSE THAT WATERMARK KISS LIVE VIDEOS WITH THE ENSIGNIA OF THEIR KNITTING CIRCLE SHOULD BE AVOIDED, THEY LOWER OTHERWISE EXCELLENT QUALITIES OF TAPE AND VIDEOS TO THE LEVEL OF THE BEASTS OF THE FIELD.
Thank you
I can appreciate Vinnie's song writing skills in Creatures and Lick it Up; but his solo style doesn't appeal to me at all, especially live. I miss the melody. I could never hum one of his solos.
Vinnie Vincent I could do without. Bruce Kulick and Ace were the best! Eric Carr was a beast on the skins!
So strange not seeing Vinnie playing The Flying V
Its strange that 2 of their best sounding live rendition was 2 short era... creatures of the night and revenge.
My closest show was opening night Bismarck ND ...just couldn't maker Mr.Hand
Soon as you cruise history, don’t go anywhere near his side of the building. All you need is some tasty waves, cool buzz and you’re fine 😊
..kiss making kisstory.. :)
It sucks cause Creatures of the Night didn't get much radio play , Kiss was considered old hat at that time.
Kiss heaviest lineup ever. KISS played Heavy Metal for a short time. Creatures, Lick it Up, Animalize ( Mark). With Asylum starts the Hair Metal era….
cool
J'étais la très bon show avec Headpins en première
If Kiss had there last show in makeup in Rio in 1982 how could this be in 1983? Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley have both said Rio in 1982 was there last makeup show of this era.
They are wrong, both year and citywise. The last gig with makeup was not Rio, it was Sao Paulo on June 25th 1983.
He was adding his own style. We have Tommy today, that he just plays the solos as Ace does, Bruce played the solos in his own way too.
It was driving gene crazy when Vinny changed the solos at radio city music hall!!!!
Ace and vinnie should make a live appearance together.
