It loads you on the runway because those geniuses at Asobo have decided that you first have to select the aircraft and then you select airport and parking spot.

No… you loaded up the sim (on video) without selecting a parking spot initially. So, it will always put you in a runway by default. The screen showed you what runway you were going to spawn on.
Absolutely agree with you wrt SPAD. I have absolutely no idea how I would configure all my various hardware addons to work with the various aircraft I fly in the sim without SPAD!?
Sure! Pressed = the moment you touch the control the input is sent to the simulator Held = you must hold the button for more than half a second before anything happens
We are in France. We have MSFS class echo and spadnext. We can’t connect class echo and spadnext. Regarding spadnext, we can’t make the configuration as we do not have the tab ‘online snippets’. If somebody can help us it would be grateful. Thanks
So I just got the Logitech multi-panel. Everything works with this on MSFS 2020 except for one thing. The elevator trim starts out at 13%, and only moves a couple of degrees either direction no matter how long you turn the trim knob, and then automatically resets itself to 13%. Is there a fix for this?
SPAD is far expensive for me, for what it does.......thank you. My bug bear is anything 3rd party titled Flight sim are far too excessively expensive. When you can buy the simular things to be for other applications or industry, at 3rd of a price. Like TV over monitors, raspberry pi touch screens over specific flightsim cockpit dials and MDF equipment. Flightsim isn't cheap keeping a number of other people away from it.
It's clearly not needed for a number of people, but for those that will get some benefit the price is not over the top at all. You quickly find msfs to be frustrating with what you can map with its built in options that don't reflect more exhaustive list that is there. The price of this product doesn't keep people away from msfs, its not required but its handy for those that find the benefits and the benefits are worth the $25
Can you map the buttons and rotaries on the Garmin GPS units? What I’m struggling with is trying to operate the GPS buttons and their rotaries with the mouse. The mouse is so insensitive you always rotate the wrong one.
I currently do not have either spad or mobiflight but I wonder if anyone knows if both will play nicely together if I were to run both spad and mobiflight at the same time?
Great info! How do you assign the flaps to the flap axis on the CM3. In MSFS I simply assign it to flap axis and it works with up, middle and down for the 3 flap positions.
Just started simming approx 6 weeks ago and I find that even though I select a parking spot it will load me on the running, cold and dark. No double check that the ramp is selected before I start a flight. double checking is the only thing that has prevented this. Extra step. Currently using FSUIPC, should I switch up? I have such a hard time setting up the controls with FSUIPC, especially with the FBW a320. Would appreciate some input from anyone who has experience with any of these pieces of software.

Good all round however. thx I do wonder how MSFS got the button assigning so quirky... must have been the non programmers that were in charge. I have never seen the word TRANSLATE to identify movement, and so many vocabulary inconsistencies as well. This is the answer I am sure !

I saw this mentioned on another youtubers video. You create a new profile called "spad Virpil Throttle profile" and clear it out. Do that for each device you want to use spad for. That way you can always go back and use the MSFS profile you originally used in case thing go sideways.
I bought a copy of Spaz Next to run my 6 Logitech Instrument Panels. I could never get the thing to work. It kept giving me all kinds of error messages and basically stuffed my already working setup. I wanted to purchase & run some of those FIP Gauges you can get. They need this program to run & install them. I gave up and deleted Spad (Spaz) ? Shame as some of those add on panels look fantastic.

Good tutorial ! Can you explain the difference of Pressed & Held for making trim assignment?

unfortunately there is a bug with the multipanel that doesn't make it work

You would create an empty profile in msfs

Yes or they will conflict. MSFS will also still recognize a button was clicked

Why can't you just set keybinds etc in MSFS itself?
Many of the features and options that can be bound in SPAD aren't visible in MSFS.
