    I love Jacob Collier crowds. Just all able to harmonize and riff off each other, as well as follow his key changes and stuff-super cool

    His freedom is... heaven.
    I am deeply amazed how he demonstrates that freedom is also something to be perfected. We all have some. But he deliberatly expanses it across all boundaries.

    His range is seriously ridiculous! There are a few rare singers who tend to represent music personified, Jacob is definitely one of them and his musucal artistry is a match for his vocal expertise. What a gifted soul!

    How can anyone deny the soulfulness of this musical beast??? 🤷‍♀️He is whatever he feels like musically in the moment. Wish I could have been there to harmonize with the master and company... 😔

      What he's doing is using microtones to sing between notes

      so harmonically or melodically?

    • @joeshmo4473

      He starts on C# (the fifth) and drops it down a half-step, then from there he sings a Eb pentatonic starting on G (the flat two of the key center but the major third of Eb) - And its all over an F# Major chord

    Thankyou,this version is good,obviously..
    But honestly, i dont like this version when first time i hear it , just because JC has lost the "soul" of this original music You and I ,and i believe Stevie Wonder create this song full of soul and i feel this song has something spiritually inside the lyrics and music, but JC absolutely lost it when the audience clap and laugh, wtf.. when i read this title i expect this version will be more soul and groove..
    But,after 6:30 i cant deny if this version is very difference with something new and fresh..and clearly JC just wanna get the attracted with audience attention through this version, difference atmosphere!! Amazing version by jacob collier

    HOW CRAZY starting the recording of a song as hauntingly brilliant as Stevie Wonder's You & I in omission of the song beginning?!!!

    • @edward4840
      @edward4840 5 лет назад

      They probably started recording it only part way through, get off their back

      @@edward4840 In media terms that specific carelessness is Laurel & Hardy. But then, get back in your cage.

      they meant what low note he sang! it was an Eb2 which is firmly in the bass range; impressive from a guy who usually sings an octave and a half higher
