I’ve done this a dozen times now. Not a single contam. You are amazing and this works so well. Thank you! I grow medicinal and edible mushrooms for myself and this was a life saver! I didn’t want to purchase a pressure cooker until I was certain I could manage everything. This made it sooo simple. Thank you!
Wow this sounds great.
Great video - I hydrated a large batch of popcorn using this method and then sterilized 4x jars in the oven as shown in this video and 4x jars in a pot on the stove (traditional broke boi tek). I inoculated all 8 jars in a SAB using grain to grain from the same colonized jar or brown rice, and all 8 colonized successfully, HOWEVER all four jars that I sterilized in the oven using the method shown in this video colonized much faster than those sterilized in the pot! This was great to learn, and I'll be using this tek in the future.
Thats interesting, good to hear the Stovepot method still worked though while reading i was worried you were going to say they all contaminated xD
I hope this channel drops another video soon. this was one of the best to watch and easy to follow not boring and staying on topic
I tried this about a month ago for pink oysters, my jars are mostly colonized :) Maybe things don't have to be as complicated as people make it lol.
Is it a successful method ?!
@@mimahalouma4132 successful method if kept on atleast minimum tempature 250-270f to kill off most bacteria but keep in mind this isnt 100% sterile without a pressure cooker but it does work nonetheless
@@mimahalouma4132 It certainly worked for me :) I finished harvesting my last flush a bit ago, zero contamination. good luck!
Oysters are strong
@@jaystackz3425 the pressure cooker does nothing more than maintain a constant temperature throughout the grain.... meaning if done properly it is as sterile as a pressure cooker.
This video is literally so good. Thank you for your service, Mush
Great video, I really like how well you explained every step. I hope you make more videos about the other steps of the process, mush love ✌️
Keep in mind after a couple uses the lids will start to rust! I learned the hard way with some kinda rust contamination, if you search the web there are plastic lids. I hope this helped someone.
Are you sure it wasn't some other contamination not from the rust?
I've used Rusty lids and rings without contamintion after just scrubbing them hard with a green scouring pad between cycles.
@@progriffinfrmr6560It most definitely could have been some other contamination but once I switched to plastic lids I had better outcomes. Im sure some folks have success with rusty lids and rings but I prefer to eliminate it as a possibility. When colonizing the condensation would build up under the lid and drip on the grains.
Wouldn’t plastic lids melt?
@@DKasp The plastic lids I purchased are heat resistant.
@@headonswivel7569 can you please supply a link to purchase. thx
I really appreciate that you added techniques for testing hydration and dryness. Really valuable info. 🍄💖
@Davis Smith Please stop spamming. 😮💨
Exactly what I was looking for! Thanks! Hope you make more videos
GREAT TEK! Phenomenally done! One of the best layouts I have ever seen...
For the oven tek. You can put the jars in turkey bags and that will help retain the moisture. The oven bags are reusable over a dozen times.
will definitely be trying this method
Clever
Should i make Holes in the bag?
@@Mrburre123 No I've just lightly folded the end of the bag with some parchment paper in it to let the pressure through using the weight of the jars to hold it closed. Then you can reuse it. Good luck
Well done! Very interesting alternative to using a pressure canner. Thanks for sharing.
Very well explained. I look forward to more videos!!
Thank you so much I have successfully fruited two huge cakes using the spawn method you are a life saver and peace be with you forever
Wow......I've spent months researching..... watching..... looking for...... totally exhausting recon efforts!!!! I this is by FAR the most informative....in depth.... educational video I've ever seen!!!! Great job.......an thank you very very VERY MUCH!!!!!!!
wow i am so excited to try the oven method!!! can't believe it's the first i've heard of it. thank you!
Great video. Making the switch from rice bags to grain jars. Can’t wait to give this a try!
Impressive! Please do more, you clearly know what you are doing. Don't stop now.
I am new to this and I agree she is very good at clearly explaining everything
This is great. I’d love to see a follow up video or other instructional. Hope to see more!
Me too
Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to seeing more videos
You do a really good job at explaining this tek in detail. One of the best mushroom cultivation videos I’ve found on RUclips. You should consider making more videos.
He's on Instagrams also on Telegram with the below handle as...
Mycopete..
Thank you so much! Gonna give this a whirl tomorrow! Just gotta pick up my jars!
Please make more videos! Really enjoyed this one.
Very nice, I like the injection port tip.
I like what you are doing with the popcorn. I will it this week. thank you.
Just wanted to say thanks, I tried this and it worked fine! Also I used the same sterilization method to do my liquid culture jars and everything is going great 👍 thanks again, keep it up
I know this is an old comment but did you add extra liquid?
Probably the best video I’ve watched on this!
Lovely video, I hope you make more!
THIS is exactly the video I've been looking for. After all the videos I've seen, I was wondering if popcorn would work. Thank you so much! Very detailed and informative video!
Millet is my personal favorite
@@mbp1652 I prefer Drippy corn over Millet. I ran millet last year when it was all the fad with the Limitless group. It did work well, Im not knocking it in the least. However, Drippy Corn Tek did outperform the millet, and many less tams due to the tek killing the endospores
Wow,what can one say well done!
It's nice to hear the sound of them when your pouring them in to the collnder
I was looking for this exact tek vid - stove-top and oven popcorn tek. Solid presentation!
Have fun failing noob. Just do it right and you’ll save yourself a lot of bs
i enjoyed it thank you, easy to understand just great :)
It helps learning from women too I hope more of you make teaching videos
Great vid! Wish you would do a couple more for the different stages of the grow.
this is awesome because i did some scuffed boiling tek and i can already see 2 of my jars are growing some interesting species that i did not want to introduce.
will try this, thanks.
This is so awesome. I just learned a lot from watching this video. 👍Thank you, God Bless
This has worked, every single time. No contamination. Not once. I use this method with WBS added and haven't been disappointed yet.
Super helpful! Thank you 🙏🏼
Thank you for sharing. Mush love
Love it! Thanks sistar!🍄💓💓💓💜
Great video. Very informative. Got any more content? I would love to see some more.
Hey. Thanks for the RTV advice. Never thought about using a wet paper towel to flatten ut
Great video.just what I needed..thank you
First time here! I've currently had some success with Uncle Ben's tek, and going to try your no pc method here for my first bulk. Thank you for sharing and I'm hoping to see more from you!
Good job I saw you in another comment saying you were going to get a kit I believe how did it go ?
@@allmoneyin1182 I have a healthy 2 week colonization of ape in an all in one, and just ordered 3 monotubs and 2 more all in ones. I also have 20 MEAC agar plates, 4 of which are starting monokaryotic mycelium. Sadly, my other UB tammed out and I had to toss them.. I am also purchasing the mycobrooder for incubations.
Lmk some tips with no pc teks u used brother that's wild lol 🐇
Nice uncle bens is hard to keep from contaming
Thank you very informative! You're 👍 awesome
thx! hope you get the chance to make more videos
wow the best tutorial I have seen
Thank You! I am new and just learning agar. Looking at Amazon 15lb pressure cookers, for $104,00 not wanting to spend the money. I thought about the oven idea, and I knew someone must have tried it. You had my back! 👍👍 Great video Friend.
I just bought a pressure cooker at Goodwill for $2 and it works great..
@@HayesProject79Sweet deal, I'll give you 10 dollars, spore swab, and a snickers candy bar for it😊
I've watched this video 15 times in th last week, probably 30 this past month.my memory is gone.doesnt exists anymore. 😂 but really I wish you would have made more videos.your very easy to understand and alot of what you've shown me has been spot on..hell all of it

@@adamjohnson5307 already have plus ➕ my guy
Great video!
really like your method. the injection hole is an idea I've never come across before so thanks for that. the only thing I'd change is the way you hydrate the corn. try using the absorption method you'd use for cooking rice.
if you start using cold water and heat it up with a lid on the pot and take it off heat once most of the water is boiled off (and keep the lid on to hold some pressure) you'll get it right on your first go every time :)
This seems like a smart idea because is will keep amendments with the corn, rather than washing them down the drain. QUESTIONS: What ratio of water to corn? What cook time? What cool time?
Thanks 😊🍄💖
🤯 Mind blown! Making your own injection ports! This is why I LOVE RUclips!
You have a new Fan in me.....oh an a Big Hello from Appalachia!!!!!! Where's the rest of your videos??? Someone that skilled......I know there's more to be showed!!!!!
Thanks tried it works great 👍
I hope you post a follow up video soon. I will subscribe but hope for more vids. Thanks for this one.
Pressure cooking some popcorn spawn jars right now. Thanks for the tips! Want to compare it to my previous brown rice jars. Seemed to be easier to get the popcorn to the correct hydration.
Yeah brown rice is just so easy to get into a sticky mess. When it comes to the break and shake, popcorn is way better too.
This is excellent! I want to try some enoki in some big Moccona jars, but the jars won't fit in my pressure cooker. If I can work out how to mod the lids for FAE, I'm using this tek!
Great video
Good tutorial, currently trying this method. Thanks for the tips!
Did it work ?
Yeah did it work for you?
@@mikek8387 Yes, but It took 6 weeks for my jars to fully colonize. I think my popcorn was a little too dry. Other than that, worked well, no contams.
@@gunmetalstudio2190 did you use the same size jars and how many cc did you use per jar? Thx
@@boxingfanazM.O.B 1-2 cc per quart jar
This is my first try - wish me luck!
Used this exact method with coffee and corn and got 8/10 fully colonized jars ! Thank you ma'am
specifics of coffee benefits please ?
Coffee equals nitrogen for nutrition
raw unprocessed sugar and/or pure corn syrup is a much better nutritional additive than coffee
@@WhiteBeardHashtag1205 thanks I’ll try it. My second attempt with coffee had all my jars contaminated.
@@kip1622 I use 1/4c per 4lbs of grain
Very thorough instructions and very easy to listen to You’re a natural instructor. I’ve been told I’m weird for biting the corn It’s a sign of a very well seasoned mycologists
Well said my friend. She did a GREAT job. this is one of the best teks I have ever seen. Who needs a PC for making jars now?
@@jakelooter5139 experienced mycologists, thats who. This is fine for a noob just starting out, but any cultivator worth their salt will buy a PC
biting the corn is by far the best method for testing, and has been tried and true for over a decade. Who told you that you were weird?
@@WhiteBeardHashtag1205 Not really true. you dont need a PC, but it is better to have one. also, PCs suck compared to sterilizers and real autoclaves. I am an expert biocultivator with decades of experience worth far more than most in salt, per se. I use an All American 1915X sterilizer and do my grain for 40 mins-1 hour at in between 17-23 PSI mostly above 20. this is NOT required but is what all experts do. Dave Wombat does this too. We can sterilize our grains in a half hour at these PSIs...pressure cooker what? I run a Presto for fast unimportant jobs like agar or LC where sterilization is basically instant
@@jakelooter5139 Your comment is absurd, PCs dont suck, they are the workhorse of most cultivators on the scene. Thats like saying Toyota sucks because you own a Ferrari. Youre arrogance is noted.
" this is one of the best teks I have ever seen. Who needs a PC for making jars now?" - some arrogant "biocultivator with decades of experience", with zero content, commenting on an oven tek video sh1++1ng on PCs 🤣🤡💩
Well done 🙏
Thank you!
Thank you, That was a great video. What's the next step?
great video, i dont have a pressure cooker like you. this helps a lot. i tried other methods but ended up not working
You have very nice and soothing voice :))
I found your method because I don’t have a pressure cooker and my jars are currently in the oven! Im super excited to see how this turns out, my first flush I used uncle bens and I used this tek to grow in bulk! Thank you for being so informative, im so excited!!
Did you have any successful jars?
Any success?
Thank you for sharing
I hope you will do more videos 🙂This was very helpful. How do you use a Tyvek envelope as a filter--how to you stick it on?
This is the method I’ve been trying to get down, I thought of the adding the foil after many many failed attempts lol, pretty certain my grains were always to dry to take off properly
I'm following this right now
how did it come out?
Thanks - great video! :-)
thank you
Hello, very helpfull video I tried with popcorn and worked, my question is will this work with rice? and what specifications shall I use? thanks
Thank you
I just drained my coffee & corn syrup water into clean pan then used the spoon full of that to put back in?🤔 thank you for sharing🤘💚🍄🍀❄️🔥🌲
Keep doing more videos girl....
You are amazing thank you
I read 334° are needed for sterilization. I did try this with good results. Love your tip about the wet paper towel to shape the silicone exposing the hole with the bump- genius. More more more! :-)
I have been canning all my vegetables in the oven for years now because I try not to mess with pressure cookers. They're just scary period but really like the videos thank you😊
hi, what should be the temperature of the oven?
You are awesome, .. Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks boo
This worked great for me. Like she said, simmer for 1 hour. I’m on my second batch of grain.
pls help whats the next step? inject and thats it? do you need to seal the injection hole?
@@jackvolkwyn470 the silicone she puts over the hole she drilled, is self healing injection port. So after the jar cools down, inject the spore syringe. The grains should germinate after a couple weeks.
@@781tunafish trying a different tek but thanks anyways still good to know!
@@781tunafish LC or colonized agar pucks work much better than an MSS for grains. Spores work great on BRF, but not so much on grains
Perfect
Thanks for the info I'm trying to figure out how I want to grow my first mushrooms.
Check out this dude i get my stuff from, he's got Magic Mushrooms, Chocolate Bars, Lsd, DMT, MDMA, Spores, Syringe, and other psych's, 🍄💯 he could direct you also if you're a newbie in it....,,,...
Feelgrabz,...,
Your voice is so therapeutic. I could listen to you read the phone book! 🤣
The coffee grounds are not really so much for nutrients for the mycelium but rather a starting off point for the mycelium to grow when using a spore syringe. Obviously a speck of ground coffee is much smaller than a popcorn kernel so the mycelium will develop on coffee grounds pretty quickly and start spreading to the popcorn around it. All it really does is knock a few days off the waiting time for colonisation to start. If you want added nutrients add Gypsum powder.
I learned something new with the tin foil and jar lid rings I've been taping mine and zip tying them.. I feel like an idiot now after seeing how she does it lol
thnxxxxx so creative ı trying with microwiev
Works good
Done stap by step 1 month ago. I now have fully colonised jars and a happy face
Good job

I use the Material from FFP2 Masks as Filter. Works great.
I would love to see your whole process
The only thing I've changed is at 12:54 I brought my jars into my sab(still air box) and replaced the micropore tape I don't like the idea of the tape getting wet mold will grow on anything wet
I like the way you squeeze the tube.
You should continue to make content!
You do it the same way I do it except I cut my hydration time down for my popcorn because I noticed when it was over hydrated it made it more susceptible to bacteria contamination. I've lost several spawn jars because of that I have now added a little bit of vermiculite to the bottom of the jars to soak up any extra water.. my simmering time is 40 minutes although I've had success doing it exactly how you do it I've cut out the coffee just Gibson and corn.. bacteria I think happened because of my temperature got a little high a couple days also..
Do note that I wasn't preparing my jars for oven sterilization though that was for pressure cooker for anyone reading this don't go by my ways listen to her lol
if youre PCing popcorn you shouldnt simmer. PC the popcorn for 20min first. Fill water line about a fingers height above the popcorn, add, 1/4c of raw sugar or pure corn syrup, and PC for 20min at 15psi. Remove, drain water, let corn dry for about 30min. Then put 1tbsp of verm in bottom of jars then fill jars 3/4 with now dried corn, and then PC for 2.5hrs. Perfect every time. I have done 10 rounds of 6doz jars, not a single tam. You can thank me later
Thanks
The coffee actually just adds more inoculation points for mycelium and more specifically for spores.
