- Chopping your mounts is a lot easier than you would think. Just need a few tools. The 285/75r16 were rubbing a little too much once the 3.5" lift settled a bit. No more rub.
Awesome video! Can't wait to check out more of your videos...judging by the intro, it seems like all of my favorite stuff! Welding, cooking, offroad, home repair, wood working, etc!
Thanks Rob. We try to help where we can and have fun while we do it. We do have a sister channel where most of the out door stuff will be going. Offroading, fishing, trails. etc.

it is small and doesn't have many videos. but i have a few that i need to edit and will post more soon.
Thanks for following.
Without the spacers it would have most likely fit. My uncles has same kit with spc uppers, same tires,, wheels and has no rub
I figure that the spacers are my issue with this setup. I do like the stance they give. Once I replace the rims I will be taking the spacers out. But this mod was free since I have all the tools and material. I do plan on taking her out on the trails and disconnecting the sway bar. The wheels might bet stuffed up and to be on the safe side we went ahead and chopped it.
Thanks for the input.
@@5LakesGarage let me see how you think of no sway bar
I just use bfh on my old pos jeeps to beat and fold. I gotta do something on chevy one day. Think some snips will fix shitty bumper. Was waiting to see if it wore away on its own.
Jeeps are good for self Clearance. The BFH is the tool of choice on the CJ and wag. I have a feeling that the Dodge will be getting the BFH treatment soon. Just have to fix the wag and finish the mods for the CJ before I cut that one up.
Do them rough country shocks on the front only go on one side and other goes on other side. .
I believe they can go on either side. but I can't remember right now. it might be in the video on when I installed them ruclips.net/video/rMMxzYXQyOI/видео.html
yes mine rubs on that side when full lock.
I have taken it off road and I am pleased to say that I did not rub. Granted we did not hit any of the gnarly stuff. But it was fun even though I hit my tow hooks pretty hard.

I’m curious if a caster adjustment would prevented the need for a BMC….
I have heard people changing the caster and it prevented from having to do the BMC. I have a few things going against me , i have spacers to keep the tire off the upper control arm . I hope to go to off set rims later. I also go places where I stuff the wheel up pretty good when hitting the rocks. I am working on a solution for a sway bar disconnect which would push the wheel even higher. But if you are doing light wheeling or around town. changing the caster should be fine.
good Luck
Out of all the cab chops No one shows the amount of steel that was actually chopped off? Just saying I’m gonna be doing this as well I have a 2019 put the same lift on and got the same tire’s although mine is a sport so I stuck with the 17 in rims 285/70/17
We did 3 inches from the frame and all the way to the mount itself. Cutting off as much as we could and still have room to weld on the plate. It is not that much but not having the rub is wonderful. If we go with some 35s the entire mount will need to be relocated. If I think about it I will take a few more pics and sent out a post.
Good luck.
@@5LakesGarage Thanks for the reply, great vids as always.
People need to realize the minute you do that. It becomes a salvage title soon as the dealer sees that. Make sure your done with payments and warranty lol
Good to know. I new it would cause issues with possible warranty things but not a salvage title. Thanks for the info on that one. And yes it was paid off for a while. :)
The techs at the dealership refers clients to come to me for a cmc! They said it’s fine and as long as it’s done properly they will look the other way. They have big rigs with 35s and relocations come in for warranty/ scheduled services all the time.
Never knew dealerships can change your car title. I feel like they will have a problem with it if it was leased tho.
