    Awesome review. I just got a Bullpup 9 yesterday and ordered this same holster. Thanks so much for the info.

      Congratulations @superf8433! You are really going to like this gun and that Jackson Leatherwork IWB Holster. Make sure you stay within the long list of approved practice and defense ammo and you shouldn't have any problems with ammo cycling. I like carrying Sig Sauer 124 gr. V-Crown JHP and Hornady Critical Defense 115 gr. FTX in the gun 7+1. No problems and the point of impact is really tight. Thanks for letting us know of your purchases. Glad we could help :)

    The ammo list is for crimp integrity. When the round is pulled back, it creates a pull between the cartridge and the bullet. Some rounds (very few) will pull apart before it enters the chamber.

      Yes. I had this happen with the Bond Bullpup 9mm when attempting to shoot Winchester Active Duty MII52 9mm 115 Grain Training Ammunition. I would stick to the list that Bond gives you for that gun or be extremely careful deviating to any newer ammunition not on the list. As long as you use the ammo on their list, the gun is very reliable. Hope this helps!

      @jolo4036 Месяц назад

      Never had a problem with Winchester white box, so I am little surprised active duty would have a problem. My recent concern is that the hammer pin keeps trying to pop out. Bond sent me a new pin, but it didn't help.

    I've had a bull pup for 5 years. Had some problems at first, sent it back and now shoots great! Switched to plastic grips, not pretty, but fits my hand better. Bonds manual shows the oil points and there are many, It's hard to get in there and clean all the smaller locations so I just use spray gun cleaner and then lube as instructed. Yes, a long, slow hammer pull gives more control; but they don't recommend it. Be careful racking the slide multiple times with ammo. You can loosen the bond between the cartridge and bullet. Powder in this gun is no fun!

      Thanks for the detailed remarks. The Bullpup 9 is a great carry gun but if shot a lot will need some meticulous cleaning. I have had good luck using ballistol and q-tips to get those hard to reach areas. Thanks!

      Ok to use just Ballistol for cleaning and lube?
      I like CLP types and was wondering if Ballistol would be good

    I bought this gun but I haven’t shot it a lot. I’ve heard it’s picky about the ammo it’ll eat. It’s a lot of money for this little gun but I feel comfortable carrying this cause it’s easy to conceal.

    • @FieldStrip357
      @FieldStrip357  9 месяцев назад +3

      Congrats on your purchase. It’s a super good shooter but takes a little getting used to. There is a long list of acceptable ammo for the Bond Bullpup. It’s in the manual and you can look it up online. I have had good luck shooting and carrying Sig Sauer V-Crown JHP 124 grain and I mostly practice with Winchester white box and Federal American Eagle. If you find the wood grips a little wide for carry you can switch to a slimmer set of plastic ones that bond sells. Let me know how you make out. Cheers,

      @@FieldStrip357 thank you for your comment. So I decided to get it out and do some plinking with it the other day. It’s really a smooth shooting pistol, easy to handle and control. Very enjoyable and I’m definitely glad I got it. Thanks again :) and I enjoyed your video

    I waited almost a year for my Boberg Arms X R9S shorty to come in, that was years ago. Probably not worth a dime now, bought it thinking it might go up in value since coming from a new manufacturer at the time.

    It's almost exactly the same length as a dollar bill. Seem like less recoil than my Sig P365. Not a tack driver, but at 10 yards you almost have to miss on purpose.

    Sweet pocket pistol! I’m wondering if it’s a wrist breaker or comfortable to fire?

    • @FieldStrip357
      @FieldStrip357  9 месяцев назад

      The Bond Bullpup 9 is very comfortable to fire. Due to it’s design of having the grip further forward it shoots flatter and with less muzzle rise. What takes a little getting used to is the trigger. It’s double action only but very smooth. Hope this helps.
