    I must have watched that video 10 times and could not get the trigger and the little clip behind it in properly. After probably 25 times I put the trigger in first; then I canted the unit downward and used a paid of needle nose pliers to put the clip in. Worked like MAGIC!! Hope this helps someone else.

    I used one of these back in the 80's and then just got back into airbrushing this year. I now own around 12 brushes, including some very expensive Iwatas. If i had to only use 1 brush it would be the Badger 150 or 155 Anthem. I know Iwata seems more popular now but all anyone has to do is look at Jamie Rodriguezs' work before he died to see what you can achieve with these inexpensive, easy to repair with cheap parts, brushes. Happy to see that you reviewed it.

    The Badger 150 is the best working, priced and made airbrush. I have 5-dating back to the 1970s and they all work as good as they did when they where new.

    I have a Badger 200 since the mid 70's that uses the same needles and nozzles as the 150 but is single action. I recently did the upgrade to the modern pedal style air caps and nozzles in medium and heavy ( kept the fine original because i rarely use it). To anyone with the old airbrush with the solid cones ( non pedal style ), I get almost no build up in the nozzles with fast drying paints. These brushes have always put out a very fine droplet mist of paint. I'm looking at dual action airbrushes now and looking at the 150 and also the 100, both of which could share my 200 nozzles and needles.. Thanks for the video !

    This was my first air brush, after owning it all this time I backed off the trigger spring pressure after watching your video, it is easier to control paint flow now, like when you first just pull back for fine line paint, that fine control is better, thanks much!

    It just hit me; my #150 is now 17 years old and i´m still not having any problems with it even though it was also my first one purchased (also have the #100sg and a #100 side feed), gotta love quality! :-)

    by the way Ashley, that screw is a transport screw (yes, just like on a CD or DVD player )- and it works the same way, BUT it stops the needle being jammed into the nozzle ( female part) during transport, which would lap them the wrong way too ( lapping is a fine grinding process used in car cylinder heads to set valves at the correct point in the head).

    I use a Badger 155 Anthem. I really love my Anthem. I love Badger airbrushes 'cause they're made here in the good ole USA and parts and supplies are readily available such as from US Airbrush. They carry the whole line of Badgers and have reasonable shipping costs. I removed the valve assembly on my Anthem and found a spring in my spring jar exactly like the original and clipped off a couple of coils. This mod lessens the amount of pressure on the trigger to turn on the air. The Anthem also has an adjustment that lets the user back off on the trigger spring. I like a light touch on my airbrushes.

    Thank you for this very helpful explanation. Though my airbrush is an older Badger 150 HD, with a trickier back lever (tricky to re-install) your clear visual and step by step talk through let me get to know my airbrush much better.

    Great review, could you explain where the part 50-046 is ? (a needle bearing)
    I didn't see it here....do I need one ? it's in the manual.
    I found the 50-055 head washer, no problem.
    Thanks.
    Don.

    My 150 does not have the trigger adjuster. I checked the instruction manual, and it does not show one.

    Hello. Is there a tutorial on how to swap the needle bearing on an older Badger 150 from 1991? The bearing is sold separately, so there must be a way. Thank you!

    Hi Good people, Basically I bought a " NOS "badger 150 for 60 euros. The only issue is the handle is seized , because it was sitting on a shelf for 36 years . Any ideas or opinions how to unscrew the handle without any damage . The version of the handle is not the same as the one on the video its chrome coated.Model is Badger 150-4pk

      Mine got stuck too Tamra after is sat around for a while. i soaked it in lacquer thinner overnight and took two pairs of pliers, carefully gripped both pieces and it unscrewed fairly easy then. Once it broke free I could unscrew the two pieces by hand. I first used a wrench to get the assembly off the body of the air brush. I also got a new washer seal that goes between the body and nozzle, mine was leaking and would not spray correctly because of it. All these parts are available, either through Badger directly or Amazon. If yours is older it may be worth upgrading to the new style nozzle and air cap, the parts are inexpensive. Incidentally, Badger ( also Paasche) are very good about responding to emails.

    Very helpful. Unfortunately the needle of my Badger 150 is stuck in the nozzle head. I do have a new needle, but any tips on how to separate? It is most definately dried up paint causing this, I'm almost sure it is ecoline paint. Any tips?

    • @bobcammarata2338
      @bobcammarata2338 6 лет назад +2

      Place it in Lacquer thinner over night and check it out the next day most likely it will fix the stuck needle from the nozzle head, after it is unstuck clean it with lacquer thinner. Tip use 2000 grit wet sand paper and clean the needle with the 2000 grit sand paper, the sanding can make the needle finer and your work better. I have done this to all but one of my 5-Badger 150 airbrush needles, it works.

    I have this, a 350, a 250 and all are excellent, the 250 disappoints me a little, stop using the 150 because it presents a serious fault, when I connect the airbrush to other compressors that does not have a water trap water in the mix color, damaging my work, buy a neo and an iwata to avoid that problem because I can not always load the compressor, because where I'm going to paint, I get the compressor, but this model presents me with this problem, and my airbrushes are all perfectly clean both inside and outside, but it is a good airbrush in general, for beginners and apprentices for double function aerographs, unfortunately, the Pashee tallon is superior and juto Olimpus that I have are my favorite, I have not been able to try the new series of Badger because I have not been able to and I am not motivated to buy it, as they gave me the heel and I notice it very superior and it satisfies by far my expectations and it is enough for what I need it does not motivate me to buy a Badger

      Sometimes the bottom feed air brushes take more air pressure to make them siphon paint,up to and beyond 20 psi,depending on the paint and paint thickness.

    • @bobcammarata2338
      @bobcammarata2338 6 лет назад

      PSI pressure best at 45psi also check and see if there no paint anywhere in the airbrush if so CLEAN - IT.

    Absolutely fantastic video, but I had to go one further and work on the air valve spring which had become badly stuck in the open position - air always on... See sites.google.com/site/donsairbrushtips/troubleshooting for where to look for this.
