Angie I owe you so much for all your help. This video has helped me immensely! For my latest tumbler, I tried all 3 software choices and decided on Silhouette. Once I found where to turn off snap-to-grids and smart-snapping, I could place my multiple images exactly where they needed to be. Thanks for being so knowledgeable and clear about each subject matter!
FYI Once you have brought up your pattern, click on file in the top tool bar, now click on MERGE it will bring up your files, find where you saved it to, find your pattern file, click on it, then click OK and it will come in on the same page as your pattern. THIS IS IN SILHOUETTE STUDIO. Hope this helps.
Excellent! Thank you - I have been using Google docs but having some frustrating moments while resizing and you have made it clear on how to do this!!!
Thank you for this tutorial. I was wondering how to use Canva since I had not heard of it prior to getting my Sublimation printer. (I've used Print Shop for years for various projects)
on docs when I go to file and print it won't show all those options to put on high quality or any other. not sure cause I'm on a Mac. I had same issue with other software. its so confusing
It is probably because you do not have the right printer driver installed. Go to the Epson website and download the right one for your printer and install it instead.

I have used both the to Print to it via Wi-Fi Direct & on the network & same error. If it is connected to the laptop directly I can print to PDF & it allows me to save it to the laptop but the file have no size & shows OKB. Is there a work around for a device I can use with my iPad to print directly to the Epson SC F170. Any help given will be most appreciated & thanking you in advance for any help given.

First, make sure you go directly to your printer website and download the right driver. Most likely your Mac went out and found a driver and it is incorrect.
I recommend heading to where you purchase your blanks first and see if they have a template. if not, search for one online that is the right size. I have a video on making curved templates here: ruclips.net/video/28RY6Qwgv7E/видео.html
Love the video! I am wanting to use silhouette studio, but every time I’ve downloaded to my laptop, it is a very outdated version. Is this version desktop only? Thank you!

After printing these pages using one of the programs you suggest, is it possible to then take the printed design back into DS and "cut" out your designs? ie: the flowers for instance. Thanks for an informative video!
@@AngieHolden I was thinking that I could do other printing such as stickers with regular ink and get more on a page. Guess I'm stuck with DS limits on this still. Thanks for responding.

@@AngieHolden thank you I was asking because it seems like you have more options when printing. I have to say mine in photo paper so I can come out nice.
Your information is welcomed but you speak so quickly it is hard to follow. Even slowing you down with the speed control because you move on to the next thought with out any Pauses it is hard to follow. The details you are providing are very detailed and you need to slow down a bit it is a lot to take in when you are providing such detailed steps to those that are not familiar with these softwares. I reviewed the links you reference and found those too have no pauses. It is hard to follow your videos because you go so quickly and without any breaks before next thought or direction . Also your speech is so continuous in your editing there is no time to take in everything you are saying and trying to explain. I found the information was good but I had to pause and keep going back and listen again because you skip through so quickly in your steps that it became so winded and found it too time consuming to actually learn from it. I just found other content creators that gave the same info but were smoother and slower in their presentation was easier to follow. It just seems the way you edit your videos it makes you appear so nervous. Your videos, at least those I tried to watch are all the same. It seems you do not take a breath before the next thought in the instructions you are giving. I don’t know if you actually speak this fast or do not take a pause with your next sentence or it is the way you are editing your videos but it comes off as rambling and is hard to follow.
Wow😮 I find her very easy to follow and have been watching her for over a year. She is very knowledgeable in all her crafting. Maybe go off on your own and figure things out for yourself but there was absolutely no need for your comment.
Teresa Lish this person has the right to give her feedback. Positive or negative. Your comment is uncalled for. It doesn’t matter how you learn, this person is relaying that it seems the editing is creating a rambling conversation and hard to follow. What influencers accept is if they are going to try and make a living by opening up to comments on their videos they know they will never please everyone 100%. That doesn’t make this person wrong it is their opinion. Just as you have yours. But attacking someone for speaking up is what is wrong with people today. It’s just her opinion which she has the right to. She addressed it to the content creator. I see no negativity in her comment. That is her truth just as you feel she does a great job is your truth. It’s just her opinion. The content creator addressed it as it was directed to her. On top of that you are reviewing and leaving a negative comment on something quite old. Most likely this person is not even a subscriber and won’t even see it. It appears to me this content creator can defend herself. For the record I watched this with a few friends and we were all laughing how fast this person was talking. It was not for us but wouldn’t leave any comments on one experience. We just didn’t subscribe. So we started reading the comments to see what links there might be to other sources. To find even in crafting there appears to be chaos. Everyone has opinions. That was all it was. Thankfully your only behind a keyboard with your anger and not in a classroom environment. Hope you have a better day and comments by others for your beloved creators does not ruin your day completely! Don’t let others upset your joy. You know that 1st Amendment thing! This was just her opinion nothing more.
Thank you so much Angie. I could not figure out why I was getting warnings from Circut Design Space that the image was to big. I want to start putting images on shirts and was so confused. I love the way you explain step by step.
Have you found a way to print to Sawgrass Print Manager since they have updated/changed the software, which has caused so many problems? I have created the design but it 'freezes' and will not advance to the print dialog.
Angie, I am so thankful for you and for making this video. You are a Great teacher. I was having problems with shadows and lines in my images when I printed them. You save the day. I followed your instructions step by step and WOW - my sample turned out to be a perfect copy. Thank you , Angie, you have won me over. I will be another one of your followers. Thank you and God Bless!
Thank you so much for all of your amazing videos!!! I was going through the steps in Google Docs, but it seems like I don't have the same options as you do. I'm using an Eco Tank 4000 series (I'm not home at the moment and can't remember exactly which one, but is is like a 4830 or something close to that). I was able to get through everything in the video until I go to turning mirror on. There was no option to do that (or to flip horizontally). I also don't see anything that says color correction, so I'm not able to change any of those settings. Do you have any idea why I don't have those options? Thanks so much for your help!
Hi . I have the et 2800. I've tried printing feom google Docs, and at times, it doesnt peint the correct size. In docs, i have the size of the image set to what I need, but it prints smaller. Any idea why this may be happening?
I don’t have a desktop computer or laptop. I use an Ipad and Picsart to design and edit designs and send to my Epson Inkjet. I desperately need larger images but am struggling to find apps suitable for an iPad that will allow me to do this. Help please! What do you recommend?
I have watched this tutorial several times today. When I am in google docs, change the size it changes the scale. Then it changes the size. What am I doing wrong. I am trying to make tee shirts and this is so frustrating. Please help.
I am not sue way when I click print using system dialog the options that it gives you in this tutorial do not show up for me and I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have tried it several different times but still not sure why I am not getting the same options that you have.
You probably have the wrong driver for your printer. Go directly to the website for your printer and find the right driver then install that one instead.
Instead of doing the copy paste routine in Google Docs, you could select the image and hit cntrl-D which will duplicate the selected image. Basically it’s a one step copy and past and saves mouse clicks over time…
Thanks Angie. But is there a way to print my cricut design space project using Canva and Epson converted printer? I would be sooo excited to learn this. Thank you in advance. Or why doesn’t Cricut just have a “Print” operation that would not require size smaller than letter size.
Cricut print then cut is for their machines so it has a black box for the printer to read for cutting. It is not intended for sublimation at all. I would use another program to design if you want a larger print.
This is such a huge help! I got an Epson 2800 for Christmas that I converted, so I'm still learning. DS is not my favorite when it comes to printing images for sublimation.
Very new sublimation user. Made a few things. I think the hard part for me was figuring out sizing and how each size on the screen translates into what it is printed. And not wanting to waste a whole sheet just for a small design. Silhouette studio worked beautifully for me for my concerns! And, though I knew that the white background wouldn’t transfer, I was still in the mindset that whatever I print needs to be cut nicely (because, you know, Cricut user here lol). I’m kinda upset that I didn’t get a silhouette from the start now, seems like it does so much more.
HI Angie i'm Paul just about half way through the whole lot of training that there is to do in the printing sublimation transfer industry it's new to me but in a different way im enjoying the trade i like the way you do all the training and the precision way the Transfering is done it's time consuming t do the job right results are amazing
My printer doesn’t have the option the turn on high speed print? Should I assume it’s not an option? I don’t have a problem with colors or printing I have a problem with the press. My images are always so light when I try to use glitter or plain white HTV
Do you ever use inkscape for your sublimation prints? I have been having continuous issues with my wide format images being cut off in inkscape. Im not sure if its just a glitch with inkscape and i should use something else. I have the display document properties set to 13x19 or 11x17 and my images are fitted fine in the display box (with room to spare). but when i enter the print preview, its like the display box is not the correct size. I change all my print settings to match the 13x19 view box and it still cuts off at random spots.. if i have a smaller image i can move it around on the display template and sometimes get it to work..but if i have "Alexander" drawn up at 11.5 inches, display is set to 13x19, placed at the top corner, it will still someone be cut off in the print preview. After searching so long for an answer Im thinking i will just switch programs. thank you for your help

Hi Angie, I so glad I found you. I’m new and learning about sublimation. While watching your video I saw a link to your store to buy the sublimation binder. My question is do we save our own info onto them then print? Or is the info already on them such as sizing for blanks.
I am slightly confused. I am very new to sublimating tumblers and i am not sure what you are talking about when it comes to a template to use? what is that?
Some sublimation blanks have a template where you can size your design for your project. I often find them where I purchase my blanks. The one I used in this video I got by just googling.

I show how to mirror in this video. You do it in printer settings.
Can you import PDF files? This will have your image to scale directly from your Desing software.
Depends on the software you are using? But yes you can print a PDF.
What about if you want to make something bigger than 8.5 by 14, where you tape several pages together.
You would use the same "crop" that I have shown here to crop your image into pieces.

Feel free not to watch. I am doing the best that I know how. If I leave in any breaths, I get complaints.
@@YesMyOpinionMatters Boy you guys sure are long winded over stuff. Didn't ruin my day at all! Joyous day over here in my neck of the woods😉
All you have to do is pause the video as you’re learning lol wtf
Thank you so much Angie. I could not figure out why I was getting warnings from Circut
Design Space that the image was to big. I want to start putting images on shirts and was so confused. I love the way you explain step by step.
Awesome!
Have you found a way to print to Sawgrass Print Manager since they have updated/changed the software, which has caused so many problems? I have created the design but it 'freezes' and will not advance to the print dialog.
They are getting rid of Sawgrass print manager so you will have to switch to print mate.
YAY! Happy to help!
Try going directly to the epson website and downloading the print driver. Sounds like you do not have the right one.
Hi . I have the et 2800. I've tried printing feom google Docs, and at times, it doesnt peint the correct size. In docs, i have the size of the image set to what I need, but it prints smaller. Any idea why this may be happening?
Look at your print settings. Make sure you are printing actual size or set the size to 100%.
I don’t have a desktop computer or laptop. I use an Ipad and Picsart to design and edit designs and send to my Epson Inkjet. I desperately need larger images but am struggling to find apps suitable for an iPad that will allow me to do this. Help please! What do you recommend?
I don't do any sublimation on a tablet or mobile so I am no help.
I have watched this tutorial several times today. When I am in google docs, change the size it changes the scale. Then it changes the size. What am I doing wrong. I am trying to make tee shirts and this is so frustrating. Please help.
Change in print settings to print at actual size.
Basically it’s a one step copy and past and saves mouse clicks over time…
I am so not understanding what you mean by "the template". Im new so could you please explain.?
A template is the exact size you need for a sublimation blank. Companies often have them for you to download them.
When I print I get half of my design?? Help
Generally that is either a feed or connection issue with your printer.
Where do you get your template's from?
Generally you can get a template from where you purchase your blank. If you can't, common templates are on places like Creative Fabrica.
What are the website to use plz and thank you
I have mentioned several here and linked them in the description below the video.
This is such a huge help! I got an Epson 2800 for Christmas that I converted, so I'm still learning. DS is not my favorite when it comes to printing images for sublimation.
Definitely not my favorite but some people use it!
How do I print from iPad?
There are not great options for printing to most sublimation printers via iPad.
I actually don't think it does more but that is my opinion only.
HI Angie i'm Paul just about half way through the whole lot of training that there is to do in the printing sublimation transfer industry it's new to me but in a different way im enjoying the trade i like the way you do all the training and the precision way the Transfering is done it's time consuming t do the job right results are amazing
That is awesome!
What was the website you are usy
I have three ways in this video. Canva is the online one.
Thank you for the information. I'll have to replay a few times to remember what you said. LOL
My printer doesn’t have the option the turn on high speed print? Should I assume it’s not an option? I don’t have a problem with colors or printing I have a problem with the press. My images are always so light when I try to use glitter or plain white HTV
I would make sure that you have the right driver installed with your printer. Go to the Epson website and get the most up to date driver.
Thank you so much Angie. This video is perfect for me. I appreciate all you share.
Which software is used for printing
You can use any of the options shown.
@@AngieHolden can't see
Is printer required at home
I got lost when you started messing with margins
Could I use this method to create a design to print on 150cm wide fabric?
You would need to find a video that explains how to break a print into pieces.
This has helped me so much, with Canva, thank you
Do you ever use inkscape for your sublimation prints?
I have not used it a ton! Sorry!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I am new to sublimation. I am currently using Silhouette and it's ALWAYS crashing on me. I can't even upload my design to edit because it'll crash on me and just close the site. do you happen to know why?
I do not. Sorry.
I need help, I am pretty much a newbie and love your videos the problem I am having is setting up google docs for sizing of my skinny tumbler sublimation. Can you give me some quick easy steps. I have watched your video but still don't get it...I am pretty good on the computer but learning so many things my brain is mush ☹
The skinny tumblers I use fit on an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper. Google docs is already sized to that when you open it.
Hello I just want to say thank you the video. Your videos are very helpful I am a beginner crafty mom trying to learn my way. I have an ecotank 2800 so I followed your instructions of printing through Google docs and when I went to print it printed a tiny little image on the bottom. I was wondering if you know a little bit more about what happened.
I would have to see what you picked when printing but it has to be in your print settings.
Hello!! I have a question? I have an ecotank 15000 converted into sublimation, I would like to ask you if is posible to clean this printer to reconverted to an ecosolvent printer?
Thanks
I have not done anything with ecosolvent so I am not sure.
Question this is my first time using google docs how to i flip isince my image has words so it will print right please and thank u. i love watching ur videos i have learned so much from u
I would mirror in your printer settings after you click print.
Thank you so much this video is truly helpful. I love the Canva method best. I can cancel my photoshop subscription now and save money.
Happy to help!
Is it all the same process if I'm printing using an actual sublimation printer like Sawgrass? I use Silhouette Studios for my designs and found that printing directly from it to my sawgrass doesn't get the best color quality.
No. With a Sawgrass, you want to print using their software.
Hi Angie, I so glad I found you. I’m new and learning about sublimation. While watching your video I saw a link to your store to buy the sublimation binder. My question is do we save our own info onto them then print? Or is the info already on them such as sizing for blanks.
The binder is for you to write down your own information as you craft. I hope that helps!
Thanks Angie. I just bought the Brother Sublimation printer and will try Canva as it seems the easiiest. Thanks again.
Happy to help!
I am slightly confused. I am very new to sublimating tumblers and i am not sure what you are talking about when it comes to a template to use? what is that?
Some sublimation blanks have a template where you can size your design for your project. I often find them where I purchase my blanks. The one I used in this video I got by just googling.
hi I'm new to sublimation and wondering where you got the template to edit in canva to make it full size
I googled tumbler template and found a free one.
