I am new to sublimation, so new that I haven't bought anything yet. I have been doing research and watching videos for about 2 weeks. You're the best!! I have binged you for days now. You are so kind and you teach like...a teacher. Thank you for speaking and explaining in terms that newbies understand. You have no idea how much I appreciate you!!
Thank you so much Angie. I could not figure out why I was getting warnings from Circut Design Space that the image was to big. I want to start putting images on shirts and was so confused. I love the way you explain step by step.
Angie I owe you so much for all your help. This video has helped me immensely! For my latest tumbler, I tried all 3 software choices and decided on Silhouette. Once I found where to turn off snap-to-grids and smart-snapping, I could place my multiple images exactly where they needed to be. Some of your other videos about converting a new EcoTank Epson and the one about countertop ovens for sublimation, have helped me in prior projects. Thanks for being so knowledgeable and clear about each subject matter!
Angie, I am so thankful for you and for making this video. You are a Great teacher. I was having problems with shadows and lines in my images when I printed them. You save the day. I followed your instructions step by step and WOW - my sample turned out to be a perfect copy. Thank you , Angie, you have won me over. I will be another one of your followers. Thank you and God Bless!
This is such a huge help! I got an Epson 2800 for Christmas that I converted, so I'm still learning. DS is not my favorite when it comes to printing images for sublimation.
HI Angie i'm Paul just about half way through the whole lot of training that there is to do in the printing sublimation transfer industry it's new to me but in a different way im enjoying the trade i like the way you do all the training and the precision way the Transfering is done it's time consuming t do the job right results are amazing
Instead of doing the copy paste routine in Google Docs, you could select the image and hit cntrl-D which will duplicate the selected image. Basically it’s a one step copy and past and saves mouse clicks over time…
Thank you for this tutorial. I was wondering how to use Canva since I had not heard of it prior to getting my Sublimation printer. (I've used Print Shop for years for various projects)
FYI Once you have brought up your pattern, click on file in the top tool bar, now click on MERGE it will bring up your files, find where you saved it to, find your pattern file, click on it, then click OK and it will come in on the same page as your pattern. THIS IS IN SILHOUETTE STUDIO. Hope this helps.
I spent HOURS AND DAYS trying to print a wind spinner sublimation image. I came across this video and BY GOERGE I DID IT!! I followed along with you. THANK YOU THANK YOU!! Do you have one for sublimating larger than paper? Like for a doormat? Again thank you 😊 ❤❤
Very new sublimation user. Made a few things. I think the hard part for me was figuring out sizing and how each size on the screen translates into what it is printed. And not wanting to waste a whole sheet just for a small design. Silhouette studio worked beautifully for me for my concerns! And, though I knew that the white background wouldn’t transfer, I was still in the mindset that whatever I print needs to be cut nicely (because, you know, Cricut user here lol). I’m kinda upset that I didn’t get a silhouette from the start now, seems like it does so much more.
First of all, thank you so much for your very detailed videos. As a newbie and a little older at understanding all this technology, you make it a lot easier. I am new to the sublimation stuff and it still boggles my mind. I wasted ink and pages trying to get my image to fit the full page. After many notes and watching your video a few times, I'm stuck on where to get the template to insert the image after you do the first steps in Google Docs. Please advise if possible and thanks again. 🤗
Excellent! Thank you - I have been using Google docs but having some frustrating moments while resizing and you have made it clear on how to do this!!!
Hi Angie, I so glad I found you. I’m new and learning about sublimation. While watching your video I saw a link to your store to buy the sublimation binder. My question is do we save our own info onto them then print? Or is the info already on them such as sizing for blanks.
Thank you so much for all of your amazing videos!!! I was going through the steps in Google Docs, but it seems like I don't have the same options as you do. I'm using an Eco Tank 4000 series (I'm not home at the moment and can't remember exactly which one, but is is like a 4830 or something close to that). I was able to get through everything in the video until I go to turning mirror on. There was no option to do that (or to flip horizontally). I also don't see anything that says color correction, so I'm not able to change any of those settings. Do you have any idea why I don't have those options? Thanks so much for your help!
And how do you make a template. I am new to making sublimation tumblers. I hate that Cricut doesn’t do the tumbler wraps. But I thank you for all your info. You are a smart on these things.
I just googled the template I needed then used that for this demo. The safest thing is to get a template where you purchase the tumbler. Otherwise, measure it to ensure it will fit or print out just on an inkjet printer as a test first.
Thank you very much for all your helpful information. I have decided to use Canva for sublimation designs for ceramic ornaments. I first set the custom size to 8.5 x 11. Then I uploaded a design and added text to customize the design. Now I want to resize the completed design to 2.75 (the size of my round ornament) and make additional copies to add to the page before I download it. My question is, how do I "attach" the text to the design, like in Cricut, so it's one complete design so I can resize the completed design. As it stands right now, when I go to resize the design, the text is not attached and does not resize with the design. I can't for the life of me figure out how to attach the text to the design (like "attach" or "flatten" in Cricut) Is there a way to do this? Thank you again for all your help. It is greatly appreciated!
Love the video! I am wanting to use silhouette studio, but every time I’ve downloaded to my laptop, it is a very outdated version. Is this version desktop only? Thank you!
Thanks Angie. But is there a way to print my cricut design space project using Canva and Epson converted printer? I would be sooo excited to learn this. Thank you in advance. Or why doesn’t Cricut just have a “Print” operation that would not require size smaller than letter size.
Cricut print then cut is for their machines so it has a black box for the printer to read for cutting. It is not intended for sublimation at all. I would use another program to design if you want a larger print.
Question this is my first time using google docs how to i flip isince my image has words so it will print right please and thank u. i love watching ur videos i have learned so much from u

Hi! your videos are so helpful but no matter what software I use I can't get the printer preferences to pop up. This seems like an easy solution but a big problem if I can't change those settings. Any help? I have a Mac
First, make sure you go directly to your printer website and download the right driver. Most likely your Mac went out and found a driver and it is incorrect.
Very new sublimation user who is struggling with the sizing. My question is, where did you get the tumbler wrap template from? That would be super helpful to have.

Do you ever use inkscape for your sublimation prints? I have been having continuous issues with my wide format images being cut off in inkscape. Im not sure if its just a glitch with inkscape and i should use something else. I have the display document properties set to 13x19 or 11x17 and my images are fitted fine in the display box (with room to spare). but when i enter the print preview, its like the display box is not the correct size. I change all my print settings to match the 13x19 view box and it still cuts off at random spots.. if i have a smaller image i can move it around on the display template and sometimes get it to work..but if i have "Alexander" drawn up at 11.5 inches, display is set to 13x19, placed at the top corner, it will still someone be cut off in the print preview. After searching so long for an answer Im thinking i will just switch programs. thank you for your help
Have you found a way to print to Sawgrass Print Manager since they have updated/changed the software, which has caused so many problems? I have created the design but it 'freezes' and will not advance to the print dialog.
I have a Mac and so watching some of your videos is a little bit difficult and I don’t have a right clicking because of an Apple mouse so I am trying to pause and go pause and go. I’m sure I’ll figure it out. These macs are no fun.
I will have to watch multiple times to get it. I have been paying for Canva but frustrated that when I print something I get random sizes. Even when downloading to gallery and trying to print in epsom can’t get it to resize exactly to fit. There is a lot of wasted printed paper
I don’t have a desktop computer or laptop. I use an Ipad and Picsart to design and edit designs and send to my Epson Inkjet. I desperately need larger images but am struggling to find apps suitable for an iPad that will allow me to do this. Help please! What do you recommend?
I recommend heading to where you purchase your blanks first and see if they have a template. if not, search for one online that is the right size. I have a video on making curved templates here: ruclips.net/video/28RY6Qwgv7E/видео.html
I have an Epson SC-F170 that I am trying to print from my iPad & I always getting an error, I am able to print to my Epson ET-15000 with ease. I have used both the to Print to it via Wi-Fi Direct & on the network & same error. If it is connected to the laptop directly I can print to PDF & it allows me to save it to the laptop but the file have no size & shows OKB. Is there a work around for a device I can use with my iPad to print directly to the Epson SC F170. Any help given will be most appreciated & thanking you in advance for any help given.
My printer doesn’t have the option the turn on high speed print? Should I assume it’s not an option? I don’t have a problem with colors or printing I have a problem with the press. My images are always so light when I try to use glitter or plain white HTV
I am slightly confused. I am very new to sublimating tumblers and i am not sure what you are talking about when it comes to a template to use? what is that?
Some sublimation blanks have a template where you can size your design for your project. I often find them where I purchase my blanks. The one I used in this video I got by just googling.
I am not sue way when I click print using system dialog the options that it gives you in this tutorial do not show up for me and I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have tried it several different times but still not sure why I am not getting the same options that you have.
You probably have the wrong driver for your printer. Go directly to the website for your printer and find the right driver then install that one instead.
Hi . I have the et 2800. I've tried printing feom google Docs, and at times, it doesnt peint the correct size. In docs, i have the size of the image set to what I need, but it prints smaller. Any idea why this may be happening?
on docs when I go to file and print it won't show all those options to put on high quality or any other. not sure cause I'm on a Mac. I had same issue with other software. its so confusing
It is probably because you do not have the right printer driver installed. Go to the Epson website and download the right one for your printer and install it instead.
Angie, everytime I save my Canva design as a png then open it to print it opens as a photo from PC. I have no other option. It resizes my design. Im so frustrated. What am I doing wrong

It makes it easier to move around on the page.

A template is the exact size you need for a sublimation blank. Companies often have them for you to download them.

Generally you can get a template from where you purchase your blank. If you can't, common templates are on places like Creative Fabrica.

Could you flip the image on the software itself (canva) instead of mirroring it in printer preferences?
I prefer to do it one way all the time as it can get confusing and you can forget.
I understand. My MacBook doesn’t have the mirror setting in printer settings but it has flip horizontally, is that the same thing?
Should be the same!
What about if you want to make something bigger than 8.5 by 14, where you tape several pages together.
You would use the same "crop" that I have shown here to crop your image into pieces.
hi I'm new to sublimation and wondering where you got the template to edit in canva to make it full size
I googled tumbler template and found a free one.
Have you found a way to print to Sawgrass Print Manager since they have updated/changed the software, which has caused so many problems? I have created the design but it 'freezes' and will not advance to the print dialog.
They are getting rid of Sawgrass print manager so you will have to switch to print mate.
What was the website you are usy
I have three ways in this video. Canva is the online one.
I don’t have a desktop computer or laptop. I use an Ipad and Picsart to design and edit designs and send to my Epson Inkjet. I desperately need larger images but am struggling to find apps suitable for an iPad that will allow me to do this. Help please! What do you recommend?
I don't do any sublimation on a tablet or mobile so I am no help.
Did you make your own "template" to use in these applications? You seem to upload your "Template".
I recommend heading to where you purchase your blanks first and see if they have a template. if not, search for one online that is the right size. I have a video on making curved templates here: ruclips.net/video/28RY6Qwgv7E/видео.html
Thank you! Will look! Love your videos!
Where can I get the 20oz tumbler template you use in this video?
I just googled it.
Sorry! I have not printed for sublimation on mobile or a tablet.
My printer doesn’t have the option the turn on high speed print? Should I assume it’s not an option? I don’t have a problem with colors or printing I have a problem with the press. My images are always so light when I try to use glitter or plain white HTV
I would make sure that you have the right driver installed with your printer. Go to the Epson website and get the most up to date driver.
Can you import PDF files? This will have your image to scale directly from your Desing software.
Depends on the software you are using? But yes you can print a PDF.
I am slightly confused. I am very new to sublimating tumblers and i am not sure what you are talking about when it comes to a template to use? what is that?
Some sublimation blanks have a template where you can size your design for your project. I often find them where I purchase my blanks. The one I used in this video I got by just googling.
I feel like I am doing something wrong, I am on an MacBook and it keep downloading the image as a PDF, if there something I am doing wrong?
Depends on what you are using but some programs download as a PDF.
Question: If I try silhouette on my ipad do I use an app or website?
I think they have an app but I am not sure.
Hi . I have the et 2800. I've tried printing feom google Docs, and at times, it doesnt peint the correct size. In docs, i have the size of the image set to what I need, but it prints smaller. Any idea why this may be happening?
Look at your print settings. Make sure you are printing actual size or set the size to 100%.
What program do you use for photos
I use photos this same way.
@@AngieHolden because i dont understand English very well, can you write me the 3 program.?
Try this: www.thecountrychiccottage.net/free-sublimation-software-3-options-for-sublimation-printing/
on docs when I go to file and print it won't show all those options to put on high quality or any other. not sure cause I'm on a Mac. I had same issue with other software. its so confusing
It is probably because you do not have the right printer driver installed. Go to the Epson website and download the right one for your printer and install it instead.
I tried Canva but my it changed my font. How can I preserve my image?
Not sure why your font would change? I am not sure.
Where did you get your template for the tumbler size I tried one I got from etsy and it wouldn’t load in google doc
I think I just googled it and picked one!
Angie, everytime I save my Canva design as a png then open it to print it opens as a photo from PC. I have no other option. It resizes my design. Im so frustrated. What am I doing wrong
You would have to use another program to open it. Your computer is opening in the default application.
Which software is used for printing
You can use any of the options shown.
@@AngieHolden can't see
Is printer required at home
I am new to sublimation. I am currently using Silhouette and it's ALWAYS crashing on me. I can't even upload my design to edit because it'll crash on me and just close the site. do you happen to know why?
I do not. Sorry.
I have tried a this. 😭 Still not getting my Epson printer to print the right size.
Make sure it is set to print at actual size or 100%.
@@AngieHolden thank you. I have realised I need to convert to PDF first in order for it to not change the size of my images. I love your videos by the way. Binge watched loads. :) brilliant teacher. Thank you
Hello!! I have a question? I have an ecotank 15000 converted into sublimation, I would like to ask you if is posible to clean this printer to reconverted to an ecosolvent printer?
Thanks
I have not done anything with ecosolvent so I am not sure.
i just bought my printer but ive used canvas, and it wont print it, idk why, but when i do it on my phone it works idk whats going on D:
Try printing a test page from your computer to test your connections.
How do you mirror n image in google docs? My image has Merry Christmas that will need to be mirrored for a tumbler.
I show how to mirror in this video. You do it in printer settings.
Where can I get background designs without spending a fortune to use for tumblers
Try this: ruclips.net/video/7BN9uMMADNw/видео.html
How do you get google docs, it’s asking me to pay for it
You never have to pay for google docs. Perhaps you are on the wrong website.
