You are so awesome! I just did my first 20 oz tumbler and it came out great! Slight line but acceptable. No ghosting at all. This taping method was great it all was nice and snug. Got my oven today and had to use it. Can't wait to do more. Just have to get the sizing a bit better.
I just received my sublimation printer.....this video is just what I needed and it was perfectly executed. Well done!!!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge, it is appreciated.
This was so detailed and perfect. I just got this press and wanted to jump in. I also just started experimenting with Canva maybe 2 weeks ago. I can't wait to design one for my sister's birthday and see how it comes out. Cheers to jumping in. Thanks so much 🎉❤
Thank you so much! I was getting a dark seam line for some reason after doing about a dozen. Now I know why. I became discoraged, but now I have the tape trick. I'm excited to try again.
The oven is the way to go. maybe its a personal preference but I tape from the middle out. I dont tape the top edge because I use silicone bands around the tumbler. you can't do this with a tumbler press though. the oven is great.
Hi Angie, thank you so much for the free Canva template. I made my first sublimation tumbler with it today. I love how it came out. I wish I could post a pic.
Thank you so much for the hacks. Am going to give these a try. Do you have a link for the stretchy heat resistant tape? The link appears to be for the regular heat resistant tape.
Hi Angie, I just watched your video and I just can't wait to make my first tumbler. But first I have to order the supplies and I noticed on your Echomerx tape dispenser, you have larger rolls of heat tape, your link to cricut heat tape shows small rolls. What large rolls of tape are on your Echomerx tape dispenser. I tried googling cricut and they only make the smaller rolls. Do you have the PYD heat tape on your tape dispenser? thanks Angie
Hello...I must say I love this video!!! I am just starting to get into the tumbler world. I signed up on your page to get the free Canva template with the torn edges but have not received the email of the design. I would love to get started with the design you created for my 1ST tumbler🥰❣
what infusible ink sheets should i used on my navy-blue tumbler? I have try red and pink and yellow noting show on it lease help thank you. I like you video so much.
Nothing is going to show up on navy blue well. Infusible Ink is transparent so the base color will show through. You may be able to see black but it won't be very bold.
Thank you for this detailed, well explained how too video! I am just starting with sublimation and this was so very helpful! However, what is the name of the "stretchy" heat tape you used? Thank you!
I have done this same thing with the shrink wrap. I will say if you get it REALLY tight, you shouldn't have puckering. That also depends on the tumbler and if they are slightly tapered.
Hi Angie, really love your RUclips’s and get so much from them. I have a Cricut mug press however I am wanting to do more than just tumblers so it has left me wondering if it would be worthwhile getting a tumbler press which does mugs as well and selling my Cricut mug press.
Oops! forgot to ask where did you get the stretchy heat resistant tape from? I couldn’t find it listed in your links with other supplies. I already have some heat resistant tape for sublimation but not sure if it is stretchy or not and I live in Australia so not all products are available here.
I have done tumblers in the mug press. I find the tumbler press does more things easier but it is large and cumbersome. I would say you can get an oven instead for more flexibility.
@@AngieHolden Hi Angie, Thank you for your reply and advice. Unfortunately I do not have a lot of space but on the upside one of my suppliers here in Australia has a tumbler/mug press for about the same value & size as the Cricut mug press. Happy 4th of July for tomorrow.
Ive tried most of these methods and I'm getting tape marks through the design on my tumblers. My guess would be bad blanks or too much pressure in your press.
So could you just make the design a little wider so the print could blend better?
I find that the blended area makes the seam more noticable.
Does the pattern have to be mirrored when printing?
Yes you mirror sublimation.
