I've watched a couple of your videos, but as soon as I saw the little red hand pointer I had to subscribe!!
😂🤣😂🤣 that made laugh so hard!
I do DTF printing and press my prints @ 150°C for 10 seconds.
The reason for cold pealing is for the melted glue to cool as to not come off the fabric when peeling.
The shorter press time avoids the bubbles in your prints.
The powder glue actually starts boiling after a maximum of 15 seconds and causes the bubbles you see in the Gnomes hats.
A second press is done with silicone paper to set the print.
Hope this helps 😉
Thank you for sharing that.
What type of silicone paper do you use?
@@katiealtis the shop I buy from repacks, so there's no branding on the packets.
@@engelavanwyk7731 I am new to this and learning a lot, can you tell me what you mean with a second press? do you mean after its pressed 10 seconds, cools and peels that you press it again with the silicone paper only? also if you mentioned the powder boils after 15 seconds should it be heated on the heat plate before being pressed? I've seen this done in a couple videos.
What is silicone paper?
If you put the Teflon sheet back over it and press again for 5 to 10 seconds I think you will see a large difference. Dtf actually requires two presses. One like you did and another to finish it, after the second you will see the gloss factor will be much more intense. Love watching.
Thank you very much for letting me know. I really do appreciate that.
Does nothing come off onto the teflon sheet ??
@@boylesrena11 Not at all.
It does matter what color shirt you use, I find I still go back to ppd transfer for black or dark. If doing a color print there is no cutting and weeding. The colors change depending on the color of the shirt. Wish dtf workes all all colors but it doesn't. Have you tried ppd transfer paper. You have to cut it around the design if you don't want the square look. But no problem with the cut and pr8nt software and cutters, press 13 seconds and done, no second press. Colors are true and use the dark shirt paper, it works on all color shirts, no mirroring.
Thank you for this video, you did a wonderful job of explaining everything
I appreciate that.
I know the video is two years old and I'm a bit late to the party, but I just wanted to say, as a former teacher, that you explained things very clearly and easily to follow. I'm considering making T-shirts as a hobby and was looking around for tutorials. I'm so happy I stumbled across your video. Thank you! New subscriber to your channel.
Little do you know your my mentor 😂😂. If I did not find your channel I was going to give up😢
@@Rosegold33 sameeeeeeee
I thought I would want to just skip to the process as a lot of people ramble in vain but I literally was glued from beginning to end. You’ve definitely got a new subscriber ❤
Thank you so much ❤️
same here and you don't have an annoying voice. Thank you
I’m new to sublimation, I just subscribed to ur channel
Delonda, you are the only RUclipsr that I have sent some $$ to. I love your energy and the amount of clear and honest detail you provide is amazing. Thank you!
Wow, wow, wow! Thank you so much. I really do these tutorials because I LOVE to teach; but I sincerely appreciate the gift. Thank you very much.
Totally agree
You have such a bright and joyful personality. I love listing to you! So glad I found your videos. I know it was made 2 years ago. Please make more. :)
You are my favorite crafting guru!
You’re awesomeness in a RUclips jug!!! 😂. Let me tell you why. You do not talk to much, just enough. Quick facts for this mom and teacher. Lastly, You are all about time and money. Thats my girl!!! You find the simple methods and tell us what we need and been searching to hear all in one video. Quick and to the point. Did I say you do not blabber to do this. Short and sweet. Keep up the great work.
I appreciate that! Thank you very much!
This is the first video I've watched on sublimation because I really thought it was going to be beyond my ability but after watching your instructions I have no doubt at all that I can do this! I'll probably be up all night watching your other videos. Thank you so much for making these and for your bubbly and enthusiastic personality :)
I appreciate that!

I feel the same way what a blessing
Hi Delonda, I have never seen an tutorial demonstrated so professional just want to say thank you so very much. I feel like you the only u-tuber I need to watch again thank you🤩
Thank you kindly.
I totally agree. Very through and professional. Your teaching method is superb 👍🏾. I receive so well from you. You keep it so so simple. My brain 🧠 can sometimes become dyslexic but not watching your tutorials. Again, thank you!
I did it! Your instructions are so clear and easy to follow. I love watching your videos. Thank you!!
I love that you did it with a grey shirt because folks only use white or black and it is good to see how it will look with other color shirts. Thank you. btw, you are beautiful!!!
Thank you so much ❤️
I can't tell you how much I love your step-by-step tutorials. Thank you.
You're very welcome ❤️
I’m going to have to follow her now cause she made those so much easier for me.
I have an Epson 2800 and I am using the same ink. I put my setting on photo paper and no need to tape paper behind it which can take away from your printing area depending on your image size or stack papers behind it. I hope this helps someone. :)
it might, just got one and doing my Recherche on how to do sublimation.
AHHH! Ive been looking for someone with the same printer as me! Friend do you have issues with your colors being vibrant!?! 😭😭
I love this method! I have not tried sublimation on a shirt, but this encourages me to try it. Also, thank you for reminding us that we don't have to use the brands that you use. People tend to get stuck on a particular brand just because the content creator uses it, even though it might be out of budget. Great tutorial, as always 🥰
Thank you 😊

Thank you
This is my first video on sublimation. Don't really know what sublimation is trying to learn how I can apply in my craft business. I liked your video. Can you point me in the direction of learning more?
Thank you for the video! It was very easy to follow!!🎉
I absolutely love your channel. Your directions are easy to follow and the results are amazing. Thanks so much, you rock!
Thank you so much!
I love how you encourage your watcher to do what is best for them instead of whatever works best for you. Thank you!
Thank you ❤️
Well, you are the most easy person to follow when you explain something, great tutorial and clear instructions.
Thank you 😊
YOU ROCK!!!! Learned so much from this!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOUR PAGE!!!
TYVM - my Daughter offered my services to do some shirts & sweatshirts putting a design on them for a campground - told her no way am I going to do 20 of these with vinyl -lol - of course they wanted cotton Hahaha - just came across you today & i'm loving all you do TYVM
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the content. I usually don’t comment on videos; however your content is straightforward and definitely encouraging. I thank God for your energy and willingness to share.
Awesome! Thank you!
Lol .. love the pointer I love how you go into detailed on products used.. and everything.. so needed when learning.. This turned out sooooo good!!!
Glad it was helpful!
Complete and thorough description and tutorial from beginning to end! Great job! Usually people skip steps assuming the viewer knows what is next. This video was super helpful and I subscribed immediately because I like your explanations. Thank you!
Thank you so much. I appreciate that.
Best DTF hack video I’ve seen!
I came back a year later to review before I gave this DTF hack a try again. Last year, getting the film to load in my Epson ET-2760 was tedious and aggravating.
BUT!!!
Your tip to stack paper behind it on the tray WORKED THE FIRST TIME AND BEAUTIFULLY! Thank you, thank you, thank you! ❣️
Now, I'm off to try printing on parchment paper next. 🤞
That was a great introduction to what my husband and I are interested in getting involved in for a side hustle. Thank you so much for walking us through! The Gnomies sublimation looks great!
Thank you so much and best of luck to both of you!
I would only suggest using the DTF sublimation hack if you have a large, well-ventilated work area. I did the DTF sublimation hack with a different brand DTF powder - and in my small house, it caused me to have breathing issues. It doesn't have a smell, so be cautious or use protective equipment.
Thank you so much for that tip.
This is was super helpful. I purchased the DTF supplies a month or so ago but was to intimidated to try. Your video was a great step by step and appreciate the pros and cons. Thanks again. Tracy. 😊❤
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you. I thought I was going to have to buy an expensive drying oven. You saved me at least $300
Awesome!!
Hello, loved the video, so this is really Sublimation ink with DTF powder... This could litteraly be a game changer for me.
Thank you!
Your tutorials are great. I watched this one 3x's. The first 2 to build my confidence, the 3rd one we went step by step together. My first one turned out pretty good. The ink smeared a little when it printed, but that's ok. Thank you so much.
You’re very welcome 😊
Subscribed! You are awesome. You explain the process so well and to be honest I’m less intimidated to try sublimation because of you. I didn’t like that white polyester was my only choice and now I’m thinking of diving in. Thank you!
Awesome! Thank you so much and welcome aboard! I am sure you can do it.
That was amazing! Thanks for doing it even though it’s not your favorite method. I appreciate it so much! I think the cost is much less than estimated because the initial cost of the powder can be spread across multiple shirts and remainder that doesn’t stick to an image goes back into the container. Again, my thanks!
You are so welcome!
I am seeing 2 different gordora powders which did you use the white or black?does it matter which one I use on gray
I linked the one that I used below the video.
Melanie
Thank you for showing us how to use a 100% cotton shirt with the powder and paper, It turned out great.
Thank you very much!
Delonda, I just stumbled upon your video. Thank you thank you thank you! Long story but I’ll try to make it short. I’ve been following many coaches as I try to take my business to new heights. Someone recommended I get an Epson ET 15000 to do eco solvent dtf prints. I ordered it the same day. I let my cousin whose been in business longer than me talk me out of doing DTF but I couldn’t get the hang of regular sublimation. So now I’ve had my printer two months ($762) and haven’t used it since my first try with photoshop. The color that printed wasn’t the color on the laptop screen. BUUUUT you just gave me hope. I love Microsoft. I help others with the software virtually. I’m going to give it another try now using your method.
Awe, thank you so much! I hope this method works for you ❤️
I enjoy learning from you and your content. It doesn't feel gimmicky and you explain everything in such great detail, that I can watch it one time and be able to make what you have just taught! Thank you for making learning easy for people like me, an audio-visual learner!! I hope you continue to be successful because you rock lady! 🤘😃
Thank you very much! I really appreciate that.
Hello question I want to start but idk which printer to purchased and also what I need to buy?
Everything I used is linked below the video.
@@CraftingwithDelonda
You should try using a sieve for the powder.
@elijahspencer7495 that's a great idea.
Love it and so stinkin' cute! I have tried this twice and had great results too!
Tracey
Thank you! I am glad that this process works for you.
I love your videos, I've been following you for a little while and I love the step by steps and the transparency 😍 I really enjoy making shirts just trying to get this sublimation down pack🤦🏾♀️
Thank you 😊
You can do it!
You are an Amazing Educator, Teacher, Instructor!!!
I’m so happy I found your channel. You literally “walk” newbies through the process. I want to sublimate clothing just for personal,
/grandkids. You have simplified the process. I’ve watched your other AND subscribed
Bless you 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Thank you so much and welcome aboard 😊
I do not follow people on yt because you get bombarded with adds and / or 10k notifications a day. However, this video just changed my way of thinking. I am a teacher 1st grade. Our classrooms look amazing because our paychecks make them. No government federal nor state provide the items we need to teach and produce successful learners. In order to purchase the things my students need, I have to get crefty in every sense of the word. I craft and sell and then build my rooms needs one project at a time. Your tutorial answered so many questions. I am liking, suscribing, and turning on notifications for your channel. I also shared your link to absolutely every one of my co-crafting teachers who depend on these methods to further our students. You are amazing, and if I were in charge of your report card, you would be an A+ Earner on the principals honors list. Thank you so much.
Wow! That is literally one of the highest compliments I have ever received. Thank you very much and welcome aboard ❤️
Thank you, because of tutorials like this, I have been able to craft into reality my dream classroom. The idea is pure comfort. The kids no longer set in hard chairs and cold desks. My room is plush. It is the purple couch lounge. They have couces, papasan chairs, memory foam bags, you name it. Instead if saying come set on the floor, I start singing.
Welcome to the purple couch lounge!
Come on down,
to the Purple Couch Lounge!
Where Ms. Wrinkle and the Zebras,
they love to get down!
With reading, writing,
and phonics too!
Hey there Kiddos,
is that all we do?
No way Ms. Wrinkle,
let's see what we can get into!
So thank you once again. A year later, I am still sharing your video. My math coach reached out about making a shirt for a brand new big sister! I said, "Come on down to the purple couch lounge!" We can make a shirt!
bonjour merci beaucoup pour la video ta video ce la benediction pour moi je suis au maroc j avais le probleme pour le tee shirts en cotton maintenant grace a ta video je vais commencer a travailler en tee shirt cotton que DIEU te benis
Thank you so much!
The kids comment CRACKED me up! It’s so true. Thanks so much for this video as well as all your other videos. I learn so much from you!
That was meant to read LID, not kids. 🙄😆
You are so welcome!
You are amazing. I haven't been able to figure dtf successfully on my own! But I got it 1st try with you on this video!
That’s awesome! I’m so glad you got it!
Excellent instructional video. Things to notice that viewers should be aware:
1. substituting other products other than what you have demonstrated simply induces more variables that will alter the outcomes.
2. INK tracking WILL occur. Your printer was printing at a very, very, slow speed allowing ink to dry more completely. But tracking WILL occur eventually.
3. Wet ink is what attracts the adhesive powder to bond to the image. The 'whiter' the result of the powdering process the better the adhesive coating will be and therefore the durability of the print on the cotton substrate.
4. Yes, this is a costly (comparative) method to hack incompatible methods. However, consider the full cost of doing a proper print on cotton, especially black fabric. In comparison, the hack you demonstrated is a CHEAP way to print on black cotton with an acceptable soft feel.
5. Put that press on a cart with wheels. If doing multiple garments, being outdoors during the pressing (curing) of the DTF transfer will prove to be a very wise action. Every DTF system makes it clear in bold red letters that ventilation is a process REQUIREMENT. There is no amount of chemical gases that are safe to inhale. I find the humidity within the garments and the chemicals related to the origin of the garments outgas during the pre-press such significant levels of unknown gasses that ventilating in the press area is a major concern if doing 10 or more garments in a row.
I do intend to acquire the products you have demonstrated and take my own DFT journey. I will modify my printer to insure those rollers do not track ink onto subsequent prints. I don't think those exit rollers are essential. Keep up the awesome instructional work you do.
To note- your comment about “whiter” powder is not correct. Only white ink will do this. You will never do this hack successfully on a dark or black shirt. The powder is just glue. It cures transparent. Also since the stretchy powder glue has no stretchy white ink to bind to, it will eventually crack and fail (tests show a 15% loss of color after the first wash, and cracking at 8-10 washes. This is not not a via commercial application. For personal use, sure. The video though was outstanding as I’m sure you’ll agree. And thank you for your comment about proper ventilation. We have entire ventilation systems to extract the smoke, which contains glycol.
I meant not a viable commercial application. Also your tracking wheel comment is on point. And to add: for those that have printers without a straight exit tray, a straight exit is vital to avoid scratching. You’ll need to build something.
Thank you ❤️
Yes I definitely said shake it but don’t break and shake it like a Polaroid picture. Omg I was rolling on the floor when you said that. I love your spirit and your beautiful smile. Bless you and thanks for the tutorial. You’re the best!!! 💙🤗
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. ❤️
This video was great, but I do have one question. You used a heat press machine with a the plate but I the cricut heat press that doesn’t have the heat plate. So how could heat up the paper after I have put the DTV powder on? You show that you did that for a few seconds to get the colors brighter. Any help would be much appreciated.
You would have to hold it over the powdered side of the film for about a minute.
this was so useful thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
I love this I’m new to this all!! You make it really easy
Thank you.. wow don't have convert a printer to dtf.. that is a miracle in it's self. I will watch your updates. The commenters are also so helpful. Thank you for reading them and responding so we get a wider view.
You’re welcome
So how did this wash up ? Thinking about buying the film and dtf film
Thank you for showing how to do it. I am a hands on learner and struggle to find videos of people showing step by step instructions
Thank you so much ❤️
I just ordered my first small heat press and I needed to get guidance and help, you are so good at explaining this process, so genuine!!!
When your timer starts to run on the heat press you can just près the plus or minus button and it will stop. Great video though. Love it. Thank you lovei
Thank you ❤️
You are amazing! Engaging, pragmatic and succinct. Perfect when I am so frustrated with sublimation.
Thank you so much!
I've been using HTV backing for my sublimation t's. This is a game changer because I really don't like the feel of the backing on cotton t's. I'm going to be changing my process, thanks to you. You really explain the process better than other vids I've watched. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much ❤️
Thank you for this. I love how you showed everything steps by step (and slowly too :) ) As a novice in printing shirts, this is truly appreciated. You just got another subscriber :)
Thank you so much and welcome aboard 😊
I tried the tape method, and the stack of paper, did not work for me. So what I did was tape regular printing paper and use doubles sided tape and tape them both together and it work. I was not giving up on this project. Thanks again for your help. Keep the videos coming
That's awesome! I might have to try that with my bigger transfer film.
O love the way you say "It is me again Delonda!"
🤣🤣🤣 thank you. It started out as a joke and when I stopped saying it, people were like un un, I need to hear it!
Very good tutorial. First time watching anything about DTF. I will be trying. Yes extra steps, but easier and more cost effective and more color variety to be able to not have to just press on white polyester!!! Thanks for taking the time!!!❤
You're welcome
BTW, The best explanation I have seen for this in RUclips. Congratulations
Thank you!
I am not sure why most of the people given instructions talk a lot. However, you talking was plain and simple. Thanks so much for helping me use all these items I have purchased for dtf’s printing and sublimation.

Thank you.
