These videos are great! I built before these videos dropped. However, i did listen to breadan from a past video, opted for only the 6112/5160 combo, and swapped out my leaf pack for the setup i run. I avoided "needing" to spend 5k on a lift. For now, it works awesome. In the future, as the truck is pushed harder and a proper need arises, i will then move to a proper LT suspension lift. 🍻 thanks for saving me a few lashings from my wife, for now...
Coing baja mode on those bilsteins then doing a spacer lift is a double negative whammy. The TRD Pro Fox shocks with a Wescott Design seems to be a more appropriate test because the shocks are made for that type of test.
I have one of these on my trd pro just to counter the 1.5 inch of droop from adding a winch bumper. Was the cheapest way to keep the fox suspension and fix the issue. I have no complaints
I was about to write a comment about how the stock TRD OR Bilstein's are not 4600's when I realized that you actually had 4600's! I wish y'all had taken a moment to illustrate that 4600's =/= TRD OR Bilsteins, though.
I wonder how it would be different if it just had the perch collar? I know a lot of people run these on trucks like raptors and swear by them in order to preserve stock like ride and function without much compromise.
Westcott lift is a big POS.. I got it installed about 10 days ago and will be looking to replace it soon. I just made a video on it the other day. The saying “buy once, cry once” is true
The difference is the top hat spacer, which causes issues like ball joint - coil contact. Also stock shocks are not valved for any extra sort of preload. 5100's are.

I have severe front squat after installing a heavy winch. And thinking to add spacers. It already has a 2.5 aev kit on it.

can you compare different type of shocks like old school hydraulic shock vs gas charged twin tube and monotube?
Where's the mid budget review?
Bilstein 6111 is mid budget. How much mid do you want ?!? 😂
@SC_XOLOs yeah that is mid budget
It's coming, lots of editing still to do! Probably out in fall.
@OverlandOutfitters thank u! Ur doing God's work for the Toyota! community and the offroad community in general
@@OverlandOutfitters Any update on when you might release the mid budget videos?
Wescott claims no ride difference 😂😂😂

how is this different from a 5100 with the snap ring in the 1.5" or 0.85" position? also in the other video, what coils did you use with the 5100?
5100 are made to be used with stock coils. the higher up you put the snap ring the more preload on the spring making for a stiffer ride.
The difference is the top hat spacer, which causes issues like ball joint - coil contact. Also stock shocks are not valved for any extra sort of preload. 5100's are.
@@OverlandOutfitters any idea if the Fox TRD Pro shocks are valved to handle extra preload from the Westscott collar?
Stock TRD shock with 1/2”top hat spacers it’s legit. If not go to 5100 with 885 one at bottom setting and boom 🙌🏻 preload spacer is basura.
lol I ran a similar setup years ago road like junk….
@@martykingma299 preload + top hat spacer is clearly for the looks.
