Youre absolutely right about Naruto’s ending, the main and last villain should have been Madara, not some bullshit they came up with in the last second out of their ass
They should have had more build up or have Madara as the final boss. Because Kaguya PALES in comparison to Madara in terms of writing, making the end very unsatisfying
@@mahistv I think they did that bullshit to milk the cash cow more with the garbage “Boruto”, we all know no one will watch that trash if not to see our beloved characters we grew up with for so many years.
I like how the liberation perfectly incapsulates what nagato once said "war brings death, injuries and pain to both sides" since not only the heroes and civilians suffered but the villains as well
No one won the Liberation War. Deku failed to stop Shiggy, Shiggy lost control of his body, thousands of people are dead and the top Hero in Japan was revealed to be a wife beater.
Whelp guess I’m a Mahis fanboy now. I appreciate these connections and ideas referencing shows I love, AND THEN on top of that the writing and on-screen anime’s matching up to what is being spoken. Great work as always I can’t wait for your channel to blow up!
Thanks a lot! It blew up once during my Demon Slayer Arc, hopefully it will happen again) Also, I appreciate you noticing the script matching the video, that's the whole reason why I do it
When it comes to war arcs in general, you're absolutely right. MHA has better structures of war than Naruto Part 2 ever had. Like Kishimoto made the wrong choices when it came to writing warfare, all the while ending his series. It just became one wide mess that felt lame, weak, and forgetful.
I mean, Naruto's arc was actually a war arc, MHA's is just a few heroes and villains fighting. There's nothing “war” in MHA other than the fact that there are two groups fighting. It's just a larger Overhaul arc. MHA deliberately avoids the “war” aspect to keep it as small and simple as possible.
Yeah, it's clear that Horikoshi took into consideration parts of Naruto's war while crafting his own first big war in his manga. It's not perfect but it is a lot more cohesive and well thought out. For complaints there isn't much, mainly that after Dabi's reveal we get 4 chapters of nonstop surprise reveals of which some work (Best Jeanist being alive, Compress backstory, Bakugo's hero name, Danger Sense) but one really fumbles (Mirio's return). Also this arc feels more like two simultaneous battles than the real definition of a war, but that's mainly because of the smaller focus and the fact that shonen Manga and anime usually aren't suited for showing a war that resembles more closely what we had in the real world. Mainly the fact that wars don't last just one afternoon in the case of MHA or a couple of days in the case of Naruto. Apart from that tho this arc is a perfect example of how to structure and execute a big climatic arc and how to pay off years of development in a concise and effective way. One of my favorite aspects has to be that both sides took heavy losses and the Villains won basically just by escaping the ambush. The heroes tried their best and took down many opponents, but in the end it wasn't enough and because of Shiggy and Machia's path of destruction, Touya's reveal shattering the public image of heroes, Re Destro's clone killing the higher ups of hero society and Tartarus being broken into, the Villains still came out on top.
I agree, especially with many "convenient" reinforcements. Same can be said for Villains though. Machia came just in time. And scale, yes, it was too quick and too concentrated to call it a war.
@@mahistv this arc is truly one of the best I've read. The only thing I really don't think was done well is Mirio's return. It really felt like it was thrown together last minute for the sake of a hype moment, sacrificing what could have been a great arc of Eri learning to control her powers so Mirio could get his power back. Instead it all happens offscreen just so he can punch a couple Nomus in the war. Then he disappears for almost 70 chapters and while his appearance in the second war is much better, it would have been much more impactful if he didn't show up in the first one and we learned in that moment that he got his powers back. Plus we could have seen Eri's training in the background during the preparations for the second war. Aside from that tho, everything else was Peak during this arc, I wouldn't change anything else.
I discovered you yesterday and this isn't the first video I've watched of yours but I just noticed your subscriber count and want to declare now that I was here before you got your first 100k. Hope I see you reach it within the year.
I agreed that things in Naruto clearly needed to change after the Forth Great Ninja War and I did lay them out. At least, the problems they needed to avoid if a central government similar to the Republic in Star Wars is formed, which it sort of did in Boruto. And you are right. How things went in the Paranormal Liberation War Arc is way more reaslitic. Aind since you've talked about the war arcs of Naruto and My Hero Academia, would you like to talk about how to save both Paradis and the rest of the world in Attack on Titan without using the Rumbling and Zeke's plan? Obviously, I have a plan known as the Heraclius Plan and I wanted to see what you will think about it. If you're interested to hear, of course.
I love to see the remake or sequel of this video after the latest (hopefully final) war arc in the MHA. 😆 Though seeing how slow the manga release currently are, we won't be seeing the final season until at least 2025.
*video not vid. I do not understand the concept of wanting to shorten a word that is already short enough as it is. I find it ridiculous. But I do understand wanting to shorten long words.🤦
@@angryboi595 It wasn't rushed, it's just that similar arcs from other anime are overly long. I mean, come on, we are 12 episodes into the final battle in MHA and it's only half way point. And people didn't die randomly, it's war, finally an anime with stakes, unlike MHA.
@@evgenkhersonets880 the issue is the arc happened way too early. Half the cast shouldn’t be dying in season 2/the 5th arc esp when characters who have only gotten 1 moment in the series or haven’t gotten to showcase their full power just die. Deaths isn’t what make a war arc good (Marineford is a great example even if Ace dies in the end)
@@angryboi595 you're right, deaths doesn't make a war arc food, because Shibuya is perfect without them. It's a great list of small events united by a cause-effect chain. Many other war arcs either are made of overly long separated fights (like in MHA and KnY) or are just a giant bowl of mess put in a mixer (like Marineford and 4th ninja war). Shibuya, on the other hand, is like an organized chaos. Events are dynamic, every second episode an everything-changing-thing happens. One thing goes after another and it makes sense. And what half of cast are you talking about, when only 2 good guys died in Shibuya? It's good that such a big event has consequences and showcases that stakes are real.
Things did not so much "go back to normal" for the shinobi as "go back to the new normal" for them. The entire meaning of the alliance was "let's stop all this fighting because it hurts, is dumb, and only helps the real baddies." The start of the war itself was an "everything is different" moment like the end of the PLW; in that one way, they're too different to compare.
I hope the judgement day of black clover to be better than my hero war till this morment, prob will not have any deaths but i still have hope. Anyways good vid
Watching both the thousand year blood war arc and Liberation war side by side. MHA handled it alot better, tybw had alot of plot holes that just didn't make sense and even though the same amount of episodes had passed we didn't really get to the meat of the fights yet. It also doesn't help that I literally don't care about soul society as a place and it's residents are routinely murdered by the captains that swore to protect the place.
Facts. SS is a fucked up place and the author did EVERYTHING to prevent us from liking it. So immediately, the only reason I care is that, by extension, our world is fucked too if Yahweh wins. Also, MHA has its fights and so on, but there is always a bigger picture, while Bleach is more like a series of 1 on 1 battles with some exceptions
@@mahistv SS is literally built atop foundations of betrayal and injustice. The Royal Families of soul society never face the consequences of betraying and humiliating the Soul King. We later learn they even planned to kill Ichigo for reasons I won’t spoil. It’s a war of scumbags. But at least SS represents the (corrupt) status quo?
@@daddy_1453 Honestly wano doesn't feel like a war arc the way the other two do. It's really more about the stakes, wano is just like every other one piece arc where a pirate is hurting a land and Luffy beats him. I'd say paramount war is the only real comparison and that's one of the best arcs in anime
@@mahistv “most of them are canon fodder” And that’s what I found strange because didn’t Redestro say the MLA was training in secret for years? Hawks made a big deal about them being a danger to hero society.
@@neofulcrum5013 One MLA cannon fodder is still taking down one cannon fodder hero, or 10 untrained civilians. Over 100k MLA fodder is on the same level as, or probably BEYOND the heroes of Japan. Basically everyone except for the super powerful would be taken down, not to mention people who convert or get forcefully conscripted in a nation wide civil war.
Idiot there was serious consequences in the 4th shinobi war entire countries were destroyed over half the ninja population was destroyed and peace was brought to the world
Not for Naruto in general, just the last arc - they were dragging us by the balls to give us an unsatisfactory conclusion (Kaguya that is). Naruto VS Sasuke was great on all accounts
You mean the knock of Version of the 4th great ninja war who was around a Dozens tmes better than the Paranomal liberation war what could have ended in 1 chapter
Aside from the infrastructure that came into place that compiled into both War Arcs, I think we have to consider how we got to these points. Thematically, Naruto and My Hero Academia had something to say that would spark the reasons for their respective wars. Naruto's was about the cycle of hatred which had been a driving force since the Land of Waves Arc. It would've been an arc about deciding if Naruto and the Shinobi World could break the cycle. In my mind, aside from fighting to prevent the Infinite Tsukiyomi (sorry if I spelled it wrong), I think that part of it wasn't explored as much as My Hero Academia. As a comparison, the biggest and best buildup to the Paranormal Liberation War Arc hands down had to be My Villain Academia. For the longest time, we focused heavily on Class 1-A and the pro heroes, but not on the ideologies and characters of the villains. They were simply the obstacle. While we had villains like Stain as well as Gentle Criminal, Kurogiri, and La Brava that helped showcase the faults of the heroes' system, Everyone developed in their own ways. Twice grew confident inside of his own skin in a way that was well deserved. Toga showed us how dangerous she could be with Uraka's quirk and that she was capable of compassion for others in her interactions with Twice. Most importantly of all, Shigaraki became a legitimate threat to the series and was no longer the scratchy-voiced, temper-tantrum-throwing man-child that he was at the beginning of the series. He took what he learned from the likes of AFO and Stain's ideology, and combined it with the ability to rally people to his side from the likes of Redestro and Overhaul. Shigaraki only ever cared about destruction as that was always part of his character, but his ability to trust others and to work effectively with his league as a team catapulted him to a point where we could see why he's the true successor of All For One. Shigaraki's backstory is the darkest up to this point, but he no longer draws from that pain to victimize himself or the people around him. Now, he takes matters violently into his own hands. Now, Shigaraki always fights like he has nothing to lose which is what makes him the most terrifying. Little did we know that Dabi would do huge things for the villains. Unlike Obito, Dabi's reveal not only shook the entire morale of the pro heroes to the core and basically deflated all of Endeavor's momentum, it felt bigger... as if it was the ace in the hole to finally put hero society in the coffin and for the most part, it's worked. Tartarus Escapees(Dark Vigilante) highlights how severely Dabi's actions affected the outcome of both sides' ideals. Causing heroes to quit to a point where crime and a sense of anarchy were overrunning Japan. Even when the arc ended, we had people like Lady Nagant who also contributed to the message behind people being screwed up in the pro-hero system. My Hero's tone has drastically changed from what it was and unlike Naruto, made us really feel that everyone but especially the villains made an impact on the entire world
@mahistv I'd say if you were looking for a more direct parallel or inspiration, it'd definitely be Kurogiri, but there's definitely something to be had with Dabi. Even in recent chapters, he's been going crazy. Besides, unlike Kakashi and Obito, Kurogiri and Aizawa's relationship wasn't really focused on, and we don't have as much of a connection as we did with Dabi and the Todoroki family. I'm sure you're aware, but several people had years of speculation towards this moment. This wasn't a "dun-dun-dun" kinda reveal, but more of a confirmation of what fans had already believed to be true. For others, this was huge all the same. One other thing that I didn't mention that played a factor with Naruto's or My Hero's War Arcs was the individual moments that took place that kept you engaged throughout the arc. Kirishima saving Mina from Gigantomachia was a great redemption moment for him. Aizawa was literally carrying the pro heroes and was THE reason all the pro heroes didn't immediately get murdered by Shigaraki. Just imagine the fact that Shigaraki posing over the #1 hero would've been a dust pile. Aizawa cutting his leg off later was badass and a close call with dying at the same hands as Shigaraki greatly added to the individual moments. Bakugo saving Deku is another highlight, Deku unlocking Danger Sense, Deku's rage moment, the death of Midnight giving Momo the moment she needed in developing and leading to the defeat of Gigantomachia, The return of Lemilion and Best Jeanist, Twice's death... literally, moment after moment, that kept you engaged the whole time. Naruto, on the other hand, dragged on a LOT. More planning scenes than individual moments. Choji and Shikamaru had their moments, and the ideas of the Edo Tensei's were cool, but we never spent enough time with the rest of Konaha to build up to any meaningful moments in between the long expedition up to Madara's appearance or afterwards. Even Guy's 8th gate is undermined because he didn't die and was left as a useless character afterward. His death after facing Madara with no resurrection would've been HUGE and could've done something for Rock Lee or other konoha favorites. All of the time-skip Naruto[Shippuden] ignores the side cast during this arc(and throughout the series in general) , so the war felt dragged and unnecessary after a certain point. A hardly established being in Kaguya and black zetsu undermines the series' build up of Madara EDIT: Did I also forget to mention that Neji's death was stupid? He has a rotational move that he could've used to stop the sticks if, for whatever reason, Naruto wasn't fast enough
Kaguya was foreshadowed to be introduced but it was jus written poorly kishi probably jus wanted to hurry and end the arc Btw if kishi can find a way to beat her then madara shouldn't be a big deal
Well, this is a "cosmetic" part of the story. Though it is one of the best fights in anime in my opinion, because of how it was choreographed, the emotions it portrays, the music... it's definitely peak Naruto.
No he not only whipped it out but he was swinging it around to show he was not fucking around. A villain for sure needs to show their power not try to act all high and mighty. Finish off your enemy immediately so they stop being a pain in the ass which I see MHA do
It would have been great if they didn't drag it out, killed a few more characters to raise stakes and ditched Kaguya bullshit completely. But, they had to set up Otsutsuki for Boruto so there is that

I'd honestly not mind talking to Madara about this, I was promised to not be tortured if he didn't like what I had to say. Death at his hand is fine though
Finally. Now MHA rocks and Naruto sucks. I can hear Shigaraki and Dabi laughing at Naruto. Also I wanted to talk about villains. Madara was good but he was wasted. Shigaraki on the other hand was there from the beginning. He was a joke. But not anymore. Now he is one of the strongest characters in MHA world ever. Shigaraki at war arc wasn't complete, he was 75% of completion so it's understandable why All for one took control over his body. While Madara... No comment
Madara was theyre for a while too, even if it was just a hint. However Kaguys managed to ruin the whole thing. Also Naruto doesn't suck, it's parts of Naruto that suck
Neji's death is the most hated one , what are they doing? One piece reffrence, if so do it well , should've given hinata a fight with some elite and then have neji die protecting her , and then have her defeat the elite , that would've been awesome but here hinata's brother died and bitch wants to touch naruto's warm warm hands 🗿
I say he should have died protecting Naruto, not protecting Naruto who wanted to protect Hinata. That way he would have died like a hero and not like he was always supposed to.
I disagree about Madara's intro being better than Shigaraki's because MHA did much the same thing as Naruto in a fraction of the time: They introduced us to Tomura's crazy power up, multiple characters are shown to be visibly frightened by him or the prospect of him waking up and within the same two chapters he reenters the fray, he shows us immediately why we should be afraid of what he can do.
I agree, this is something I've mentioned in the video briefly, however, this surprise factor for me was a bit better in terms of reveal. I love Shiggy's character arc and how he was developed, so there was no surprise for me, unlike with Madara.
The justification for why madaras plan wasn't do bad is kinds head scratching. Off your metrics shouldn't people just stack as much money then just stay on some drug 24/7 until they die?
It's about the lesser of two evils. If I had a choice between years of miserable, fighting for my life survival with no end in sight and a "matrix" essentially. I pick the world of dreams any time of the day, because in both cases life is over. However, it's different when there is a chance of living through a disaster and put the world back together. I would try to make it through.
You forgot to mention that MHA's Female Characters actually did something to help their male counterparts, while meanwhile Naruto's Female Characters... sure they did something, but at the same time, they didn't really do anything that phenomenal, if you know what I mean
Hmmm, they only thing I could remember girls doing in Naruto is blowing some dust off from one grumpy boi, and chest compressing Naruto to prolong his life.
No clue. I think MHA is very good (not without issues, naturally), especially in the character development department of both heroes and villains. I haven't seen S7 yet.
My guy I think your purposely oversimplifying the effects of the 4th war Obito's and Kabuto's army killed thousands and had a deep effect on the resolve of the allied forces that needed to be convinced to continue multiple times sure to an outside view the infinite Tsukiyomi doesn't seem that bad But it's essentially stripping the entire world of free will and why do you keep saying back to normal the Shinobi world had been at each others throats the whole time and very cautious of each other the previous 3 wars show that there was no such thing as peace like the Akatsuki existed because of the previous conflicts Naruto's era was just another one of those regular periods of tension ninjas were sent out doing their duties but we're at risk of rogues and ninjas from other nations killing them to say the peace at the end of the Naruto series was normal is dead wrong
I'm very sorry but I struggle to understand half of what you wrote, since there is not a single punctuation marks. Still. Those ~50k dead shinobis didn't matter in the grand scheme of things. They killed a few white Zetsu's, but then they were swapped by "fakes" and sustained a lot of damage that way. The show made their sacrifice look pathetically inconsequential, when the names characters could mow through dozens, sometimes thousands of Zetsu's. As for peace and such... you are contradicting your previous comment, so I don't even know what to tell you

The same reason why people get upset when Police does something they don't understand (watch some Donut Operator, it will explain) 3.
@@silveratlas2706 I mean, idk exactly how you could have made a whole ass arc around eri's quirk training, like-

If you think that War arc was good, wait until Shibuya Incident from JJK
Can't wait to binge the shit out of JJK
That arc was fucking horrible? Super rushed and people just randomly died without reason. Mha s6’s war arc was better bro
You forgot after the war end, Sasuke wanted to start another one. And he walk away with no consequences.
Nah, he was just a bit grumpy)
Things did not so much "go back to normal" for the shinobi as "go back to the new normal" for them. The entire meaning of the alliance was "let's stop all this fighting because it hurts, is dumb, and only helps the real baddies." The start of the war itself was an "everything is different" moment like the end of the PLW; in that one way, they're too different to compare.
I hope the judgement day of black clover to be better than my hero war till this morment, prob will not have any deaths but i still have hope.
Anyways good vid
Thank you, hopefully. I do like Liberation war though and have little to no complaints about it... which is weird coming from me)
Black cover could make a good war, but not as memorable and better than mha imo.
Funny how Harribel just got launched from the story.
What do you feel about the Wano war? It’s also airing side by side with these war arcs.
@@daddy_1453 Honestly wano doesn't feel like a war arc the way the other two do. It's really more about the stakes, wano is just like every other one piece arc where a pirate is hurting a land and Luffy beats him.

You mean the knock of Version of the 4th great ninja war who was around a Dozens tmes better than the Paranomal liberation war what could have ended in 1 chapter
I disagree. 4rth ninja war was inferior overall and I just explained why
My Hero's tone has drastically changed from what it was and unlike Naruto, made us really feel that everyone but especially the villains made an impact on the entire world
This is some great insight. I really like the way you put it and Obito/Dabi comparison is not something I've thought tbh!
A hardly established being in Kaguya and black zetsu undermines the series' build up of Madara
EDIT: Did I also forget to mention that Neji's death was stupid? He has a rotational move that he could've used to stop the sticks if, for whatever reason, Naruto wasn't fast enough
Best Naruto hot take I have ever heard

The Naruto war arc is one of my favourites in all anime, the mha war arc is ight.

Some of these screens are better then entire series
For example, name one moment on the same level as Itachi final apology in the whole of mha

when u make ur entire personal opinion about characters and pairs of characters while comparing them to entire series u certainly have not watched and heard about im sure its irrational.

MHA Naruto
Hype - 1 for mha and 1 for naruto
as u said before the hokage, kabuto and naruto etc
but then for mha u got new shigaraki, all for one, high end nomus, gigantomachia, and reunions like shoto and dabi they have the same hype around them
but for realism its to mha only
so 2 points go to mha and 1 point go to naruto

In the start of the war people had animosity still plus Naruto entered late in the war it was the kages with their speeches and resolve that also kept them going
I'd say rewatch the cannon parts of the war arc to see what I mean but hey your choice
And I'm sorry too I think a discussion would be better but you know
All I'm saying is your giving the war arc way too much shit
As for Neji... what did Midnight do exactly?
@@mahistv I say comparing the War arcs isn't valid in the first place since they were both trying to do different things. Whereas Naruto's was the end to the series MHA's was a set up for the final war arc that's happening in the manga as of this date. So I'd definitely make a video comparing Naruto's War and MHA final war arc later down the line for a better comparison narrative wise. I do feel like you also over simplified Naruto's things and overhyped MHA's. Both Midnight and Neji are under utilized characters whos impact on the story are fairly little which Midnight having almost no impact and Neji had some impact in Part 1 and non in the second like most characters in Naruto unfortunately
Nah, it's worse than you think
@@zonnodon163 explain
Naruto>mha
I'll wait until I see MHA fully. Cause I like it a lot, but for different reasons.
Seriously how he liberation arc was horrible I hated it like the hero have such a big advantage over the villains it’s not even fun why would you make the underdog of your story the main villain it just doesn’t make sense and then even though the odds are stacked against him shigarki still managed to humiliate them like what are you doing if you wanna write a story don’t make the main villain. Work harder than the main character give his character better development within much shorter time span and don’t make the main villain the one who is always has the disadvantage Who wants to watch a story when the heroes have such a large advantage and the villains are the under dog and the villain still do better because they actually use what the main character should be doing and getting stronger when it counts twice death was more beautiful then anything else like I was sad for twice death and happy for bakugo to die that’s not good writing
I don't understand what you are saying, I'm afraid...
Wait why cant the villain work harder than the heroes? It's just as much as Shigaraki rise as a villain as Deku is as a hero
Mha still is trash and is worse then velma
I disagree, MHA is pretty good
Mha is pretty good, most of the hate comes from the fandom, Deku crying (which is a weird reason to hate since it’s more realistic for the main character a 16 yo, that went through so much not to cry, and he still matured over the seasons) or from the adaptation of season 5. You’re just coping now
@@mahistv why should i care about your opinion
@@pirateluffy01 i mean, why are you watching this video if you don't care about his opinion?
@@rop4996 For the Legend Madara Uchiha ofcourse
Mha 😂 s just a Naruto rip off the 4th shinobi war is alot more destructive and killed alot more we literally see mountains of bodies
I wouldn't say it's a rip off. It has borrowed and improved some ideas.
@@mahistv nope just a rip of with a shit fandom
