I had no idea that Forza Motorsport was going to be THIS good on a wheel!
Do you at least put your own customisation on the game? Or only played with the default settings?
You said the e ray was todays episode
Try Forza Horizon 5 too! Goddamn
Will the AR12 logo be in this game?
@@Kappo288I was gonna say this, idk at first it wasn’t that good but idk it feels great now. Idk i only play on wheel now
Regardless of what nick uses, one thing is certain he will always have a skill issue
yeah nicks lucky his race manager was not in the room
You guys forgot when he beat all those other players in FH5. In the Lose to gift subs vid
*he will always be unable to penetrate.
Why did I read this in his voice 😂
@@GH0STST4RSCR34M It's facts tho lol
The assists you were feeling were probably because you left it on normal steering. You definitely want sim steering for using a wheel.
Hopefully he did put it on sim steering. There was a lot of work that needed to be done there (with the majority of cars). Judging by the way he caught that slide early in the video, likely on normal. UNLESS T10 fixed the matter of the back end getting out is 'uncorrectable' on sim steering with a wheel.
It was on sim steering for race 2. I spoke was planning on talking about the difference but I didn’t feel much of one
@@AR12Gaming I believe you 😊
@@AR12Gaming T10 admittedly had programmed support for controllers (steering dampening, etc.) The real question is have they fixed sim steering with a wheel.
the fact that there are multiple different racesports doesn't make a game a simulator.
Nick expecting to be skilled in a new game
His singular braincell : SIKE
So glad to watch this video, I just purchased my first wheel setup and I can’t wait to use it. I went with the Fanatec CSL DD. I hope it was a good option 👍
One thing I’ve always wished for were lower displacement, less powerful engine swaps. It looks like we’re getting that and i’m very happy about it.
I subscribed, great take on the wheel and controller . I never tried a wheel, but it sounds fun .
Hey @AR12Gaming, did you set steering type to simulation under settings? My understanding is that Normal steering will have some assist even on a wheel while simulation will just translate whatever you're doing on the wheel.
Also, other content creators reported that the default wheel settings are a little weak on the force feedback department, specially road feel (curbs are basically interpreted as flat), but adjusting the settings can vastly improve the experience.
I subscribed since 2020 love your content keep the good content ❤
In Forza you really have to finetune settings to get the best handling on Wheel, i remember playing FM7 it was shite until i found some decent settings.. I just hope wheel users will now be more competitive in Forza
The best review of the gameplay ever shown… great job bro
I honestly like your viewpoint. I was hoping Forza would feel a bit more sim-cade like it used to, like in Forza 4. The driving dynamics still seem to be more lively, but overall easy to control.
The video I was waiting for!
Im watching every second i can FM8 reviews and this one was a headache brain cell killer.
Yeah, this dude is a blabbering loudmouth. Typical Horizon player.
The ending bit is the most important thing in my opinion. Being fun. Of course, being the most realistic that a simcade game can be is obviously important, but it doesn't matter if the feeling of using a wheel is dog... I'll try it when it releases in gamepass, and if I think it's worth it, I'll buy it. I had enough disappointments with FM7 when I bought it thinking it would feel good on a wheel XD
Thanks for the video. Good job.
Nick keep up the good work real true and I love the video 😂 good
Mamma mia mi hai rincoglionito con questo bel video non ti sei azzittito un secondo per farci godere del gioco 😂
By the sound of it your steering is set to “normal” which does have some low level baked in assists. Set it to “simulation” and your front end should be a lot more pointed. FM7 did the exact same thing on a wheel. You’ll miss corner entry almost every single time unless you brake waaaay too early. It feels like understeer, but it’s actually the game de-syncing your input and not turning the wheel at the same rate as your inputs. Been playing FM7 exclusively on wheel for a very long time now and have encountered that more times than I care to count.
i love your vids they alway make me happy or make me laugth
the reflections r great during the night you can see the hands and the wheel in the windshield
You need to do a full car list video so we can see all of the cars
hey nick, at 4:34 when you opened the settings menu, aparently youre not using the simulation steering, can you test it for next time?
for race 2 he was on sim apparently
An "accessible simulator" should have assists available to make it accessible, but it should also have the option to disable them completely, making the game a more hard-core simulator for people who want more of a challenge
Can’t wait for open drift lobbies
the best content creator AR12Gaming Nick
You should try playing with all the assistant off and see how the game feels that way
Happy Birthday Nickypoo! Congrats on *30* 😁
(hes not 30)
I bought one of these wheels this summer. Everything is great but the paddle shifters are loud.
Use a t300 or TX leather edition? Love the content btw
I just got my first wheel; I went for the Logitech G920. I've been trying it out with Forza Horizon 4 (didn't have enough storage for 5 lol) but I just don't like Horizon as much as I used to. My question here is, how different is to play FH and the newest FM on a wheel?
you should have tested simulation steering to remove the assists your feeling
I much prefer wheel because easy to drive in the game to understand control of vehicle
I agree
Yup and a 12 year old will destroy you using a controller.
That engine swap was un called for 😃
I bought my csl dd back in march just for this game
budget friendly... checks price: 😲$399.99
That's the same price as the Moza R3 isn't it? Although that is sold the hell out for now into the distant future apparently.
That is budget friendly. My setup for wheel, pedals, and shifter is over $2,000
Never been this early for a vid. Hope everyone's day has been a good one
When nick forgets the Sim-cade genre...
To anyone thinking about getting a wheel make sure u have a good enough wheel stand or just stand in general. When I first got mine I thought I could use a small eating table as a stand and man that was the worst idea
well as long as the wheel is not too powerful you should be fine
At least you could use the table to have a snack while driving.
i used a tv tray and it was stable i put 2 10 lb weights on it and it didn’t rock
Good point, I can imagine the table trying to jump around 😆
It's not meow-gello Nick 😂
I can imagine wheel allows you to have smoother and more controlled turns, therefore allows you to save more tire, so over time you're generally faster because more grip.
Also your lap times are improving because you've got less fuel...
Nick did some mining off camera
Every video ive seen of people using their wheel they've said the base default settings are quite bad, once you adjust them then the game feels much better with the wheel.
please, make a video testing the keyboard
I like how T10 still hasnt worked out what the Mustang identifies itself as (auto gears in a manual) 😅😅😅😅
The game engine was developed years ago with formula one drivers and engineers. I’ve got track experience and the cars handle similar to real life models. Real life is a bit harder.
I’m sure if you were to tune the wheel to your liking it can definitely be as good as a controller
Controllers have “controller assist” otherwise the violent movement of the wheel (thumbstick) would throw the car out of the track.
12:45 Because the enemies AI is not final in this version, you should have known that
I mean, also, keep in mind that with every lap you got accustomed and the car got lighter because of fuel consumption (unless the game doesn't really take fuel weight into consideration), but would be cool if the game would have both wheel and controller to be pretty much the same, so you can enjoy the game with the input of your choice without feeling like you're at a disadvantage 🤔
It does take fuel into account but back to back laps I don't think would be that different
@@xavmanisdabestest doesn't the game manage tyre temps too?
10:01 I live really close to that circuit (Kyalami) and even did some laps on it
HELOOOO fellow south african...How is loadshedding treating you?

Nick you need sim steering on for the wheel
That's the wheel I have 😉, Been haveing so much fun the crew motorfest
Is the t248 good on crew motorfest because I own the wheel and was wondering if it is good
@louishollll I find it more like and arcade racer, but I've been playing gt7, I can't really complain on how the wheel performs in the crew motorfest
I’d like to try a controller with pedals. I can steer how I want with a controller but I can’t modulate the throttle and brake finely enough.
That Mustang has PRNDS on the Dashboard but the character act like its a manual
How would you compare the wheel physics to fh5?
I NEED THIS GAME😭
Can you do gameplay with ray tracing enabled
Well now I have to ask, was simulation steering on?
Oh how nice he gives us a shot of the settings, and the answer is: no.
Where's the E ray corvette vidoe at for forza horizon 5
Fine tune your wheel...other youtubers say it feel 10x better after fine tuning.
Lol he prolly got all the assist on "this game def not a simulator" 😂
*“nooo you can’t put a v6 in a ford mustang gt”*
Nick: “hehe Mustang go brr”
How does the handling compare to GT7 with the wheel?
1 min. Love ur vids
What about the Blind Assist?
A friendly reminder to any one who is considering buying that Thrustmaster wheel, as a person who bought it a year ago and had it send out to fix four times after only few hours of lightly usage and then giving up on it cause the one year guarantee expired and had to sell it less than half price…so please don’t even consider this model, i had to share my experience (i was using it on xbox series X)
the thing is he is using beld driven wheel and most of sim racers will be on DD wheels therse a big difs
does that wheel even have true force feedback. and that better not be plastic on the wheel part you acctually hold.
Nick you need to try Forza Horizon 5 on wheel too ..
I have the wheel and it is very fun
Forza:makes the steering angle more than 90°
THIS IS BUILT FROM THE GROUND UP
You said most racing players are on the controller? How the heck? Playing sim racing games on the controller is not working for me, the cars act weird, 0 steering angle no matter the speed, and I've spent weeks trying to figure this out without any luck...and this seems to be the case across all sim racing games. The only game I slightly managed to do some GT racing was Assetto Corsa with some mods.
Bro what?! The guys on esports all use steering wheels 😂
How long did it actually take to level up the mustang to 50?
Did you use simulation steering for the wheel?
That's the point of FM, to be played mostly on the controller to bring motorsport to the masses. So it must be a bit challenging but controller friendly sim-cade driving mechanics. It's still more difficult than Horizon mechanics tho but not much.
“This was the race I was supposed to drive a normal mustang. This one is trying to murder me” ………isn’t that the same thing?
Nickypoo turn on the simulation steering
Yayy. Another wheel impossible to use . Why do they keep making the paddle shifters connected to the wheel? If I'm drifting or turning hard some angles I won't be able to shift
They sell a separate shifter
when drifting you should be using a separate shifter, and any way, where should they mount the paddles, to the base? so that when you're wheel is at 90 degrees it's impossible to reach
why are u using paddles for drifting 😭💀
Nick to skill issues be like: stop it
I need to know!!!!
did you play on Normal steering or SIM ?
Forza motorsport, "the real driving simulator" that sounds about right
are we still getting the e-ray video today?
0:54 you are wrong. thats not the t248p p means playstation. its the t248x
Где игру взял? Ее же еще нет :) Where did you get the game? It's not there yet :)
"stock settings to show what the average player will feel". Bro isn't even average.
I want some more ar12
Ain't no way you swapped out the 5.0 V8 for a 3.7 V6
You should've used Direct Drive, but seems that wasn't possible today. Sadly, the T818 still doesn't have console compatibility. Would've loved to see the Fanatec, especially considering the Ready2Race bundle which gives you a Direct drive wheel for 400$, same as the cost for the T248, although one pedal is lost.
You need some gorilla grip tires
The fastest player in FM4 used a controller and default tunes.
can you use my sim wheel for cloud gaming this ?
Built from the ground up but still using the same hideous forms aero and using models from forza 4
I'm kinda disappointed about the new Forza Motorsport, I was hoping they would start trying to enter the Realistic Simulation side of racing.
so i had a t248 and it caught fire then i got another guess what same thing i dont know if im gonna get another
Warning: You are about to experience watching a compilation of skill issues
You need to do 5 laps with the wheel. And 5 with the controller. Same track. All assist off.
No VR support for Pc ?
I also want the wheel so bad
*DEEEEP breath* Boy.
