Matt, this video was good until you used the word "nappy" to describe unkempt hair. I don't know where you heard that word, but it's a highly disrespectful racial slur, often directed toward the Black community. It's neither funny nor entertaining. BUT, he literally just comes out and says “I am head over heels for you, there’s no other way that I can describe it.” He tells me that all the time. I have been with a guy for almost 2 years, and he still hasn't said he loves me.. when I ask him about it, he says he just isn't such a type, he is not an overly romantic person.. I started painting and wanted to sell some. I had no idea what my husband would say as I believed some of his family members would not have approved. This is really helpful. As someone coming from a narcissistic abusive relationship I don’t have any trust left sense of normalcy. I see my friends boyfriend do all of these things too. It’s so soo sweet! I want that, I’ve never had that. It’s confusing when your spouse says they love you cries for you and you don’t know what that means! Well it doesn’t matter the way I want to be loved is like this. One day I will holdout for nothing less.
I think a sign that I'm head over heels for him is that I support his choice in his recovery coming first, even before me or us. In other relationships I always felt like I needed to be priority number one but now I'm happy to take the back burner because I know it's what he NEEDS to be the man I deserve & that he's happy being. Yes! so true about all this! I especially appreciated him patiently waiting for me while I attended a function with my friends, about three hours of him waiting. He said he walked and checked out stores. (He had attended a different function earlier in the day.) Then my friends and I met up with him and he transferred my belongings and extra baggage into the back of the pickup, all the while respectful to me and my friends, no complaining. I loved his being patient and expressed my appreciation. We later got root beer floats on the way home, all because he knew I liked them, too. He had said on the way there that we would stop on the way back and we did. What a keeper!

I've seen him in mostly sweatpants and a t-shirt yes he be stunning. The stairing is same for girls too. Also try to look at nice for him even if don't really think about it. Do not underestimate a child's capacity to love, either. When I was in 2nd grade and I lost my heart to a classmate, I didn't mind losing an argument with him. I didn't mind so much losing my question during sharing because he was called on before I was. I mean I was bummed out to have lost my question to someone else, but if I was going to, I would have rather lost it to _him._ Even a scolding word (when I was in the wrong for something) was quickly forgotten. And when he chased me and teased me along with his other friends... at least he was there. and the only thing I've ever thought as I gazed at him in our class picture was, "I just hope he's ok, wherever he is." Honestly, I don't think I ever stopped caring. When he gave me that little birthday gift at school before class that morning 40 years ago, that one little act of kindness had more impact on me than even *I* could have imagined back then. 💝

4:06 I knew my then boyfriend was in love with me at my sister’s wedding, which was about 1.5 hr from where we all lived. My sister had forgotten the marriage license back home. My husband was the only person who was already at the wedding venue but not in the wedding. He volunteered to drive back home, het the license, and be back in 3 hours…literally 15 minutes before the wedding. Funny twist - this is before cell phones!! In addition to getting the license, he decided to grab a huge garbage bag and fill it with everything on her bed and floor around her bed…just in case! Literally EVERYTHING! Thank heavens! She had left her wedding shoes and hose in her condo too, but they were in the garbage bag! My brother pulled him aside and thanked him because HW would have had to do it otherwise. 😂 And he told me that my now husband was a keeper.

My guy and I were both "talkers"...meaning we both were social and talked a lot. I have to admit I have probably bored some people with my talking. I'm certain he did too...and I'm certain if we had a contest he would win! But even when he was telling me something I didn't understand or really wasn't interested in, I would hand on every word he said. I wanted to know everything that he had on his mind or wanted to share because he mattered to me. Over 45 years I never stopped listening. And you know what? He listened to me too. We complimented each other so much. I could list 100 things. I miss him so much I sometimes think I can't breathe.

My man's Mom has beginning Alzheimer's/dementia but still living at home, with help. Due to her dementia, the stove has to be 'deactivated' for her safety. I cook big homemade meals everyday and deliver to her on my way to work. My man works away all week so I don't need big meals but I do it because I love him, and she's his Mom.

One sign that I exhibit when I am falling head over heels for someone is . . . . . . I will let down my guard around you when it comes to having everything go perfectly smoothly, planning, and security, because I subconsciously believe that you have it handled. However I do know this about myself and will do practical things to ensure our safety and make sure everyone has a good time. . . . If he cries or is in pain, I want to hold him and listen to what he has to say intently and will hold him and tell him his feelings are valid and hold him close.
I never had the slightest interest in golf, but when my guy took up golfing I took lessons and we wound up taking golf vacations together. Likewise, most sports bored me, but my guy loved baseball so I learned the basics of baseball and enjoyed cooking up his favorite snacks to take to the game. One of sweetest things I ever experienced was when my mom had bought a new car and I was just elated for her accomplishment. My DM called me, asking how my day went. I could have had chocolate all over my face, for example, and he would not care, he would find it adorable. Or whatever, spilling food etc. I was younger then. The problem was I could not correspond in exactly the same way, although I cared about him, I did feel really really loved, so I know what you are talking about. He would also do whatever to make me happy, and my friends. We did come together into the "rescue" of some, it was also his character to help people.

I spent 40+ years of my life “ in love “ with a man I knew wasn’t right for me. I had to walk away and try to keep on living regardless. I knew God had not wanted me with him. I just wanted him to be happy. He passed suddenly at age 62. I’ve never had a day yet I haven’t thought of him. I miss him just knowing he’s gone. I’ll spend eternity with him someday. He was a “ player” I knew it and God wanted something better for me. I’m 63 have yet to find “ him” but I know my love since age 15 is in Heaven and I will spend eternity with him. I still believe God will bring me a true Christian man someday. In him timing. He knows what’s best. I only want his will in my life. If he never brings anyone I’ll be ok. I have 2 wonderful sons. You want to support them in their goals, dreams and hobbies and want them to do whatever makes them happy. The thought of not being with them is extremely painful, and you promise yourself that even if they annoy you, you will never point the finger, accuse or blame, but try and understand their point of view and still treat them with kindness and never do anything to hurt them.

My boyfriend hasn’t said that he loves me (which is okay!). BUT, he literally just comes out and says “I am head over heels for you, there’s no other way that I can describe it.” He tells me that all the time. And he’s always staring at me with the biggest smile on his face. Sometimes I feel like I’m being watched and I turn around and he’s staring right at me 😂🙏 He says my eyes are really pretty to look at. I think a sign that I'm head over heels for him is that I support his choice in his recovery coming first, even before me or us. Yes! so true about all this! I especially appreciated him patiently waiting for me while I attended a function with my friends, about three hours of him waiting. He said he walked and checked out stores. (He had attended a different function earlier in the day.) Then my friends and I met up with him and he transferred my belongings and extra baggage into the back of the pickup, all the while respectful to me and my friends, no complaining. I loved his being patient and expressed my appreciation. We later got root beer floats on the way home, all because he knew I liked them, too. He had said on the way there that we would stop on the way back and we did. What a keeper!

4:06 I knew my then boyfriend was in love with me at my sister’s wedding, which was about 1.5 hr from where we all lived. My sister had forgotten the marriage license back home. My husband was the only person who was already at the wedding venue but not in the wedding. He volunteered to drive back home, het the license, and be back in 3 hours…literally 15 minutes before the wedding.
Funny twist - this is before cell phones!! In addition to getting the license, he decided to grab a huge garbage bag and fill it with everything on her bed and floor around her bed…just in case! Literally EVERYTHING!
Thank heavens! She had left her wedding shoes and hose in her condo too, but they were in the garbage bag! My brother pulled him aside and thanked him because HW would have had to do it otherwise. 😂 And he told me that my now husband was a keeper.

My guy and I were both "talkers"...meaning we both were social and talked a lot. I have to admit I have probably bored some people with my talking. I'm certain he did too...and I'm certain if we had a contest he would win! But even when he was telling me something I didn't understand or really wasn't interested in, I would hand on every word he said. I wanted to know everything that he had on his mind or wanted to share because he mattered to me. Over 45 years I never stopped listening. And you know what? He listened to me too. We complimented each other so much. I could list 100 things. I miss him so much I sometimes think I can't breathe.

My man's Mom has beginning Alzheimer's/dementia but still living at home, with help. Due to her dementia, the stove has to be 'deactivated' for her safety. I cook big homemade meals everyday and deliver to her on my way to work. My man works away all week so I don't need big meals but I do it because I love him, and she's his Mom.

"Love her, just the way she is" (Bridget was really clumsy). :)) And he was like this with me. I could have had chocolate all over my face, for example, and he would not care, he would find it adorable. Or whatever, spilling food etc. I was younger then. The problem was I could not correspond in exactly the same way, although I cared about him, I did feel really really loved, so I know what you are talking about. He would also do whatever to make me happy, and my friends. We did come together into the "rescue" of some, it was also his character to help people.

I spent 40+ years of my life “ in love “ with a man I knew wasn’t right for me. I had to walk away and try to keep on living regardless. I knew God had not wanted me with him. I just wanted him to be happy. He passed suddenly at age 62. I’ve never had a day yet I haven’t thought of him. I miss him just knowing he’s gone. I’ll spend eternity with him someday. I will love him until the day I die. Forever in my heart TTR.

@@karenwolsey2283 we weren’t meant to be together in this life. I prayed for him everyday watching him in and out of so many unhappy relationships. But he loved me and I loved him. He was a “ player” I knew it and God wanted something better for me. I’m 63 have yet to find “ him” but I know my love since age 15 is in Heaven and I will spend eternity with him. I still believe God will bring me a true Christian man someday. In him timing. He knows what’s best. I only want his will in my life. If he never brings anyone I’ll be ok. I have 2 wonderful sons. I’m happy and content.

Thinking back to an ex I had I should have known it wasn't going to work. I used to stare him a lot bc I was so into him. He would catch me looking at him and he'd yell at me for staring at him. He said it creeped him out and told me to stop doing it. Yeah we didn't last.
