I laughed very hard at the intro😂 My man loves cycling and I started asking him about bikes, riding etc. he couldn’t believe it. He said no one has ever taken an interest in him like I do. Now he tells me lots of stories about his rides and how he cleans his bikes etc... I find it soo cute and I love listening to him no matter what he’s saying.

He recently went on a boys weekend with his brother to rock climb. I got a text with a bunch of photos of him climbing and the view from the top. That meant a lot that he stopped in the middle of his climb to share that moment with me.

I hear you. In watching these I found myself thinking about the past; and realizing what I didn’t know! My new friend is a breath of fresh air. It started with each of us saying we wanted to meet kind people - like genuinely realizing that’s not so easy. Our relationship has been intense since we first met and it's the first time I don't stammer around a guy; it is totally natural. He has shared so much about himself, especially about his family and upbringing - just today he was showing me funny videos he likes and his old tumblr page which was really emo (basically what he looked like back in his early 20s, his thoughts back then which were dark) - he even shared where he used to skateboard (his happy place) and that he actually really misses it. Earlier in the relationship I'm currently in I was getting ahead of myself and without thinking I said something dumb. I was sure he would either freak out and dissappear or get a wrong impression of me and would try rush things ahead. Instead he told me it aint a big deal, that he is getting ahead of himself as well and that he wants to take it slow, as did I even I said what I said. And I must admit my very first thought was "gosh, this sort of guys really exist!"
I suggest you read up on Viktor Frankl and Elkhart Tolle (the power of now). Frankl talks about the power to choose your response and not simply having a(knee-jerk) or emotional reaction. Saying something "dumb" is the same as saying something prematurely out of desire? Cut yourself some slack. No one seems quicker to judge us than us.
This is great & so true! We are taking things slow, not in a relationship yet but he invites me on dates/adventures so that (in his words) "Get more acquainted with each other." He asks questions about where I would like to go & what I would like to do, and is invested in sharing those adventures with me. This is new, I really like this close friendship & pray that it turns into a beautiful relationship/marriage one day. He moves slow but maybe that's a good thing.

Mat, I related to your shoe story. I was dating a man years ago that called at the last minute and asked me to get dressed up that he was coming to pick me up and take me out. I was a mess from just giving the dog a bath. So my roommate helped with the dog and I ran upstairs to get ready. Well, it was worth it to see the look on his face when he picked me up as I came downstairs. It wasn't until we got to the restaurant and seated at the bar until our table was ready. We were talking and he looked down and then back up at me with this strange grin on his face and said. "Nice shoes do you have another pair at home?" I looked down and I was wearing two different colored shoes. One navy blue and the other black. I was mortified and he started laughing which made me laugh. In our rush, not me, my roommate nor he noticed my mistake. He told me I still looked beautiful. The shoes were the same style but I made sure to put a light color pair between them in order not to make that mistake again. So I laughed again at the memory. The occasion was he had gotten a big commission check at work and wanted to take me out to celebrate. We had a wonderful time.

Love it! I met an amazing guy last year and we are now together. The fact that I tried to end things twice (yeah, i was slow to warm up, a bit ashamed of that now almost, but it got us to today) with this guy last year when i was unsure and that he didnt let me (unless he was sure I really meant it) meant the world to me. What you explain in #2 happened to me in my 20s. I lived at home with my parents and the guy I was seeing wanted me to stay over at his place. The fact that her father was so protective of your wife helped develop/test your budding relationship and allowed it to grow/strengthen emotionally before you were sexual. I've been texting with a guy for a little over 7 months. We see each other occasionally - a sort of long distance relationship. He's got other obligations. I've tried to cut it off several times. One time he told me he would typically say fine, and run. But he didn't. We discussed that we do want to be in each other's life. I laughed very hard at the intro😂 My man loves cycling and I started asking him about bikes, riding etc. he couldn’t believe it. He said no one has ever taken an interest in him like I do. When I tried to let go of this man during the early stage of dating because I was becoming vulnerable. He told me “I’ll never let go of you. Never.” #1 was true . You can’t scare off a man who’s really into you.
He recently went on a boys weekend with his brother to rock climb. I got a text with a bunch of photos of him climbing and the view from the top. That meant a lot that he stopped in the middle of his climb to share that moment with me.

Our relationship has been intense since we first met and it's the first time I don't stammer around a guy; it is totally natural. Earlier in the relationship I'm currently in I was getting ahead of myself and without thinking I said something dumb. I was sure he would either freak out and dissappear or get a wrong impression of me and would try rush things ahead. Instead he told me it aint a big deal, that he is getting ahead of himself as well and that he wants to take it slow, as did I even I said what I said. And I must admit my very first thought was "gosh, this sort of guys really exist!"

Mat, I related to your shoe story. I was dating a man years ago that called at the last minute and asked me to get dressed up that he was coming to pick me up and take me out. I was a mess from just giving the dog a bath. So my roommate helped with the dog and I ran upstairs to get ready. Well, it was worth it to see the look on his face when he picked me up as I came downstairs. It wasn't until we got to the restaurant and seated at the bar until our table was ready. We were talking and he looked down and then back up at me with this strange grin on his face and said. "Nice shoes do you have another pair at home?" I looked down and I was wearing two different colored shoes. One navy blue and the other black. I was mortified and he started laughing which made me laugh. In our rush, not me, my roommate nor he noticed my mistake. He told me I still looked beautiful. The shoes were the same style but I made sure to put a light color pair between them in order not to make that mistake again. So I laughed again at the memory. The occasion was he had gotten a big commission check at work and wanted to take me out to celebrate. We had a wonderful time.

I've been texting with a guy for a little over 7 months. We see each other occasionally - a sort of long distance relationship. He's got other obligations. I've tried to cut it off several times. One time he told me he would typically say fine, and run. But he didn't. We discussed that we do want to be in each other's life. We each continue to work on ourselves and still have a good relationship. I'm not sure where it will go, but I'm enjoying the ride.
I'm a girl, and that thought of "oh I'm in trouble" is also correct for me. I dont use to lose control, or feel to much, a rational woman here, lol

Once I was with a guy (and some friends). I had been feeling homesick all day, and we were looking at a particularly beautiful night sky and mentioned that, wondering if them back home were looking too. With a tone of total indignation, he said that surely the night sky was the same everywhere!?!! That hurt. Haven't seen him in years. Couldn't care less.

Love the part where really doesn’t make a lot of time for you and say you’re probably get bored and find someone else. That is like with me and my man he’s in the Navy he’s a surgeon he tells me I don’t really have a Lotta time for you that it scared me away I see it as a challenge like you’re saying and I told him I am in it for the long-haul. We are still together long distance relationships are really really hard but it’s totally worth it❤️
