Damn if you held out just a little longer the end of the fight woulld sync up (more or less) with the end of the OST instead of cutting off. But a great demonstration nonetheless
Thanks! This was the first time I beat the boss, so I wasn't really thinking about that. I got close (1-2 hits away) multiple times before this attempt, so I was happy to finish it.
@@Aleksandr_Skrjabin It took me around 8 hours to kill Radahn, spread out over a few days. At least 3 of those hours, however, I was very drunk and there was no hope of me ever beating him.
@@DonkereZielen Damn, 5 fair hours is still alot, try underrated Dex weapons, it makes your game perfectly decent, and every weapon you choose has to use has to have something special which is the reason to pick the weapon, it can be the ash of war like Frenzied spear having great one, or the Miquellan sword with the quick, powerful heavy attack, these both are just examples but dex builds balance your game in being able to hit quick enough, do decent damage, being able to roll on time enough, do another attack or heal in time, little openings will be enough to chip with dex, and for talisman I always advice the Dragoncrest great shield talisman period, and for the rest you can go all offense, or 2 more offensive and stamina talisman, and have at least 50 Endurance at all times,
I'll try that some time. I was only rune level 150 or 152 when I fought Radahn, so I could've used some extra endurance or vigor. I used the braid (holy damage negation), dragoncrest, turtle talisman and another offensive one (I forgot which). Thing is, I don't mind taking a while to learn / defeat a boss. Especially if it is the final boss (since the game is finished after that). I had fun learning his moveset and I'm stubborn, so I prefered banging my head against the wall, rather than changing my build. I'm still fairly new to these types of games (first one I played was Elden Ring 1,5 years ago) so I'm not familiar with all of the items, buffs, spells etc. In these games I usually just get a big sword I like and keep it simple.
I don't understand people complaining about this boss, and they defend Malenia who is difficult only because of ONE attack that has a very arbitrary way of dodging. The only attack that I hate from Radahn and Miquella is the scissors attack that is almost unreactable, but apart from that, I really enjoy the boss.
Same, especially now with the deflect tear, it was just a battle of composure, unlike where Malenia just deletes you with one move that you likely won't be able to overcome without watching RUclips tutorials.
@@apophisstr6719 Funny enough, I learned all his moves by myself, and still the move that even watching RUclips videos didn't fix, is the double slash attack, that move is busted.
@@HeyTarnished For that one, the best solution is to deflect (you can deflect the beams too), because dodging that needs to be almost frame perfect, for deflect you just need half-decent reflexes
@@apophisstr6719 OMG you can deflect the beams too?! I did not know that at all, thank you so much, I love you, yes I'll be using deflect from now on, I already defeated that fire golem thingy lol.
@@HeyTarnished Yea pretty much just an extra tap between his swings, you can even deflect that Miquella's Light massive aoe. I haven't try deflecting the meteor attack, but I'm convinced that it would work since it's not a grab attack. Deflect is OP as hell, especially how it also strengthen guard counter (Radahn barely ever let you land more than a hit anyways, might as well bonk him with a massive guard counter). Just don't get panic when seeing your HP being chipped little by little, only heal when you have the chance, with deflect, it really is a battle of composure.
There is around a second of audio missing right at your timestamp. However, it is not that noticable because of the timing. If you listen carefully, you'll hear it. Nothing in this video is edited and / or altered. There are a few frames missing because I recorded this fight in two parts (I pressed the button to record the last 5 minutes in that moment, because I was close to beating the boss). This fight was divided in two different clips, which I had to stitch together with editing software. The few frames that are missing are simply the frames between these two clips (there are always 1-2 missing seconds between recorded clips with software like NVIDIA ShadowPlay. Furthermore, it is impossible to record Elden Ring with different audio layers (to record music and sound effects separately) so it would be impossible to edit or replace the background music. All of the sound effects would be out of sync with the video. Even for a very experienced editor it would be pretty much impossible to pull this off.

I take it a ton of his moves can be rolled into because I haven’t beaten him yet. But anytime I see someone else do well in the fight, that’s usually what they do to avoid attacks that otherwise would kill me in seconds.

Thanks! I originally wanted to beat Radahn with a Claymore (I used it in all of my DS1 and DS3 playthroughs) but I decided I needed a little more damage for this fight. It's hard to say how many attempts this took me. I think I spent a total of 8-10 hours fighting Radahn, spread over multiple days. However, some of these hours I was drunk and just playing for fun.
@@YaItalianBear just using op stuff has always been cheese in my opinion. Nothing wrong with using the over tuned items, but pretending they are not op is a problem lol.
@@tylerherdman1755 Which are the overtuned items? The only true op thing that could just straight up make Radahn a joke was impenetrable thorns. Now you can just cheese him with a good tower shield, which is super lame but that's another discussion
The meteor attack Radahn does (his most cinematic attack, which only happens once during the whole fight) is synced up perfectly to the music. This is what the video is about. Everything after this moment is just a bonus (and some attacks sync up well, though certainly not perfect). I've tried to explain this in the description. You can't have 10+ attacks in a row perfectly synced to the music. That is statistically impossible. The chances of the meteor attack being perfectly synced up like this are already extremely small. The rest of the fight being somewhat synced up (here and there) makes it even more unlikely.
A few small tweaks would make the fight a lot more enjoyable. The most important ones being changes to the double left/right slash attack (at 0:55) and the gravity pull in phase two. I enjoyed learning the other moves in the fight and found ways to get through them effectively, but those two were very difficult to deal with.
