My favorite thing about the fight is when you get your heart stolen. Radahn lowers his weapons and he can't be attacked by anyone or anything anymore. It's over
this is how boss fight showcases should be done, its about showing off the moveset and art of the fight, not just melting the boss in 2 minutes and a bleed build
That is exactly what bothers me about them. That the approach is so overwhelmingly common is just confusing. I want to see what the player can do with the boss, not what the player can do TO the boss.
well some people just aren’t that good and choose the method that makes them win. I find the gameplay and exploring pretty fun, but I don’t like many of the bosses so I just decided to “over-level” and melt the bosses so I can continue having fun. Everybody has their preferred method
I had a terrible time learning him, he did the after image slashing attacks out of nowhere and even running to the side was not enough and so he always caught me in a combo. I tried all possible ways to avoid that move but it didn't work. Finally I just equipped a shield and blocked the first part of that move, lame.
And so it was that at the footsteps of a divine gate that reached the heavens, two lords clashed for their age to begin anew under the gaze of a newborn god.
This is a very cool showcase of this boss fight. I used Ansbach and Thollier summons for my fight and I always felt Ansbach's dialogues adds an extra layer to this fight. "Righteous Tarnished. Become our new lord. A lord not for gods, but for men." Gave me the added motovation needed to stop Radahn and Miquella.
Also, I -think- it is scripted or balanced so that Thollier dies and then Ansbach at about 20ish% of Radahn's HP. He also has a cool line of dialogue when he dies, but I can't remember it
Thanks! Im glad people don’t mind me taking a few hits, most no hit videos are around 3 to 4 mins long so it would be doable if I focused more on bringing him down quickly. Fighting him for that long is rough (seen some really skilled people do it tho)

@@LucidFlameX thanks! Same here, my first fight was messy and it felt amazing to finally beat him but the enjoyment of fighting him kicked in once I got down his phase 2 moveset on repeat runs
He is ridiculously hard fs but, idk, I find it fitting that the strongest and mightiest demigod + a literal god = one of the hardest bosses in the game. I quite love the imagery in the final frame of the 2nd phase cutscene where Miquella and Radahn are forming something akin to the Elden Ring. Miquella’s hair looks a lot like the old Erdtree symbol’s roots, the arch of the gate is the top arc, Radahn forms the bottom arc with his great-swords. It’s art.
I love the choreography you put into these videos. There’s really no one else doing these kinds of videos. I have one on my channel with abyss watchers. It’s a lot harder than it looks to make a fight look good. People are either cheesing it, doing it too flawlessly and too quick that you don’t even get to hear the soundtrack for more than a minute, or plain and simple getting wrecked and chugging flasks the whole way through.

I just beat him after 8 hours worth of attempts between 3 days. What a challenge. Frustrating but it was an absolute blast learning the after image strikes and timing. 10/10 for me
@Veloketh I understand why people would complain and at times he can seem unfair but once you get the timing of them damn holy light attacks, its all up you 🗣❗️
This fight is peak and your fight videos are the absolute best ones. The new OSTs that come with the dlc are some of the best in soulsborne, Midra, Radahn, Divine Beast are my favorites.
I’m so glad to see so many comments appreciating the content, rather than whining-as far too many soulsborne players do-that it wasn’t exactly what they wanted so it must be horrible. Fantastic fight. As hard as it should be.
Thanks! True, the hate for the boss was pretty vocal so seeing so many people appreciate it was awesome. Now we gotta prepare for the new discussions about the patch/nerf lmao
Not my favorite, but the hate is definitely not deserved and it is up there in my top 5. Apart from the double slash, all of his attacks can be dodged consistently and doing so is super fun. Yes I died hundreds of times without summons but it rarely felt unfair. Brutal yes, but fair.
One thing I love about this video is how you can feel the exhaustion of the boss fight begin to set in. Initially, OP seems almost god-like, avoiding attacks seemingly with ease. However, as the minutes drag on and Radahn's strength only increases, OP, who is still clearly highly competent, begins miss-timing dodges more and more frequently. This truly is one of the most grueling boss fights FromSoft has ever produced. The average build simply won't break through his health bar quickly. And you have to maintain an absurdly high level of concentration for the duration. In addition to being a test of skill, Consort Radahn is also an immense test of endurance.
yeah spot on, I remember my eyes starting to hurt and my concentration fading from constantly being vigilant of his one cross slash move, to the point where it messes up your other dodges too. It’s a lot more doable nowadays but it’s still probably the most oppressive boss they’ve ever cooked up
This is my new favorite in the series. Of course, I didn't really fight him (not cheese him) until after the update, but man. He was incredibly challenging, but I never felt like it wasn't my fault when I died. Took me about 90 tries to take them down, and it was a blast the whole way through. You are literally fighting a demigod in his prime, and then you fight a demigod and his god brother. There's a reason why Miyazaki never makes us fight these guys when they aren't shadows of what they once were. Miquella's character and the story revolving these two was ingenious. I didn't mind the final boss being Radahn rather than Godwyn, mainly because there is no way of reviving him. He is spiritually dead, while his body yet lives. Radahn only died bodily, and we had more questions answered with Radahn, and would have had more questions with Godwyn. Besides, a boss returning in this fashion has never been done in the soulsborne games, so Radahn was a real surprise, unlike if it had been Godwyn.
To be completely honest, with it all said and done, I have to tip my hat off to Consort Radahn. Had me completely stuck for four nights before I got him, multiple nervous breakdowns too. And to think I was fighting him in his nerfed state. But that feeling of overwhelming satisfaction of finally slaying him, it was reminiscent of that same feeling I had back in my first soulsborne game, DS3. It made the pain worth it.
nothing like finally beating a tough souls boss after hours or even days and being shaky and ecstatic for minutes after. Despite the flaws, PCR definitely gave me that high too. btw nice DS3 was my first one as well, I’m glad fromsoft still makes new bosses that give me the same feelings like beating nameless king or sister Friede for the first time
Despite being PART Mohg, rahdan only does a SINGLE Mohg attack, I was disappointed that Mohg wasn’t put to justice with that single attack. Makes you think that Mohg is truly gone, but his soul, remains
true but they could’ve made his design more centered around it, especially given the symbolism of him becoming a horned lion at the top of the area centered around Hornsent culture
Great content, I found you work with the Dancing Lion video, it was exactly the content I was looking for: enjoying the epic OST illustrated by a magnificent fight. I was really looking forward to Consort Radahn's one :). Bravo!
Radagon/Marika, the vessel of the Greater Will, and now the fiercest Emperyan, ascended to godhood with the mightiest demigod as his consort. All slain by us and our god-slaying weapons in the most fate-defying battles since the Shattering. If only Hewg could see this
I love how insane and over-the-top the 2nd phase is, I'll never get bored of seeing people's reaction to it. I also love that there's a boss that everybody beats by the skin of their teeth when they beat him. Radahn needed a fight that justified his hype as the "mightiest Demi-god" as well. I like how careful you have to be with your roll directions. That being said, it would have been better to have him as the penultimate boss, not the last. People wanted something new, like Godwyn or the Gloam eyed Queen or Formless Mother, part of the hate is that "Radahn, again" is a disappointing conclusion, regardless of the insane Miquella magic. OST is god-tier as well.
I was thinking the exact same thing, Radahn would’ve been perfect as second to last boss and I was a bit disappointed that it all just stopped right there. At first I thought we would step through the gate of divinity and either Miquella’s true self survived and had to use a back up plan(Godwyn or GEQ) or there would be some other revelation awaiting us, maybe even with Miquella on our side now revealing a final threat to us. It’s always hard to not lose yourself thinking what could’ve been and not getting too disappointed but I think my main reason to think this can’t be all were the unused Miquella and Marika cutscenes from the trailers that I was still waiting to see. Lots of teasing that turned out to be cut content or a red herring
The absolute testosterone my man Radahn wields is the reason why the whole arena shakes at first, not because of some silly gravity magic.Muscles are the real gravitational magic.
Amazing video, love the fact you let him catch you once to include all the dialogues. I don’t know if it was intentional but if it was it’s a happy accident.
What interesting about this fight is that it is a synthesis of the 3 tribes of demigods. Representing the Carian Clan we got Radahn, representing the Leyndell Brothers we got Mohg (being the physical body plus blood flame magic). And finally representing the Haligtwins we got Miquella.
That’s a really neat detail, the symbolism and connections in the PCR fight are incredible. It’s also a representation of the Hornsent culture because Radahn sprouting horns makes him a horned lion
Very nice job. Honestly I wish I could fight him pre patch again, as much as I am glad they fixed him up a bit. Got busy with life and stuff while the patch happened so I only got to fight him once. Watching you do this fight helped me appreciate him way more than I did initally. It's really beautiful. Cheers!
I feel similar, I’ve fought him twice before they patched him and I like that they fixed the cross slash, but it’s always a bit bittersweet when a boss gets major changes. The new version is still a lot of fun tho. Anyways thanks, I’m really glad you enjoyed my vid and that it helped you appreciate him more! Also in case you’re on PC you could try some of the mods that reverse the patch/some changes if you wanna refight him like that
Man i loved the intro so much cause u just see radahn in prime form & the music is just 🔥 asl everytime i watch this fight i get goosebumps cant wait for more dlc to drop in elden ring fr
We don't need to hear Radahn's reply to the proposal. "If we honour our part of the vow" most likely meant "if I and Malenia defeat you honourably in combat", "promise me you'll be my consort" as in "if you lose, you're officially the chosen one." This was the true reason why Radahn fought in the Shattering. He wanted to defeat Malenia, or otherwise avoid the inevitable grasp of Miquella, explaining why his army jorneyed all the way to Caelid, kiling and beating anything that did as little as slow them down. You could say he was quite literally running away from her. He knew of the Rot, he knew of the Heart Stealing, but in his honour, Malenia's final glorious jab was accepted. It would seem he didn't want to join Miquella, but would if he was deemed the inferior warrior... and the fact that we are the ones to finish the job goes to show how none of Miquella's plans reaches completion, much like his maturing... A curse that could only be inflicted by an outer god that never was, or that we don't know of....
Hot take: I think Consort Radahn is one of the greatest bosses From has made, you HAVE to learn it inside out, it’s only hard until you know what to do, phase 2 has many deliberate design choices, it is intently made to throw you off, to confuse the player, puts you in a very pressured psychological warfare, it is very demanding, epitomizes Miquella's ineffable influence on anyone who stands against him. Mechanically, phase 2 is phase 1 but with AOEs that force the player to not back away at all, because if you did, you’ll get greatly punished, stay close to him all the time, phase 2 also has the big explosive attacks that look magnificent & feel very much fair, it’s a phenomenal fight with probably the best OST, the music. I’ve never experienced excitement by any other boss like this one, only Malenia & Ludwig come to mind, yeah it's up there! I almost tear up whenever I listen to phase 2 music. and it's far away from perfection mechanical-wise, it has a few wonky hitboxes, that infamous 1-2-X slash attack should be adjusted (though you can use an Ash of War, Deflecting etc). What’s a little unfortunate (for me) is he doesn’t allow much strafing, using jump-attacks to duck follow-ups, nothing much of those, roll-roll-swing seems like the only way to fight him (EDIT: Phase 2 has a lot of positioning & roll-directions requirements & the big special attack require sprinting in specific ways which is quite nice!), overall it's a great fight don't get me wrong, but it felt like a bit missed opportunity. I do think people will get used to him with time I'm sure. Really great showcase & man you have very high skills!
Soo many people completely misunderstand the point of the fight, dodging isn't the only thing necessary to avoid Radahn, what matters also is proper positioning and maneuvering to effectively evade his attacks, the fight imo is one of the greatest in the game but does have performance problems in phase 2 where the holy rays halve your fps just like that, hopefully it gets patched out soon!
you’re spot on. I always wished for another version of radahns theme, more epic and regal and this one really nailed it, plus Miquella’s theme is just divine. The fake out hits in phase 2 are an amazing mechanic that really throws you off, it’s so intimidating and it took me quite a while to figure them out. I 100% agree on the 1-2-X nerf, that would greatly enhance the fight and allow for more positioning freedom (which is already pretty tight). I’m also a bit conflicted on the arena floor, it looks interesting with the ripples and corpses but some of the trenches in combination with the camera angle makes the fight more awkward. Fighting him feels the cleanest near the entrance where the floor is flat. Also thanks a lot, I really appreciate it and as always outstanding comment!
@@srdjan3057 Yeah I see where you’re coming from, phase 2 already had many positioning, roll-direction requirements & the special attacks that require running away in specific order & sequences, I do have to edit my comment around that. EDIT: Edited my original comment. Thanks!🙏
@@Veloketh You’re welcome! Yeah forgot to mention the arena in some places can be awkward, it’s like your character is elevated relative to the camera, yeah it’s one of those quirks that is unexpected for Elden Ring, but still the fight overall is just magnificent & so epic!
It's funny, Radahn's whole set up in this fight is similar to Mogh in how you're constantly pressured, and rewarded, by staying close to him. You're also likely to be blinded by their AoE attacks that intentionally hide follow up attacks that are chained to them. All of that is pretty neat lore-wise when you learn wtf is going on and the battles themselves in their own silly ways are able to convey the characters of everyone involved in the fights in some fun ways
Incredible video, the amount of skill needed to dodge him that consistently for that long is astonishing, better than some ultra quick no hits. I loved the spectacle of this boss, how it forces you to get into "the zone" just for a small chance to beat him, and your video is the perfect showcase for this amazing fight. Thank you for posting!
@@vanillathunder7957 Thanks so much, I really appreciate it!! Glad you enjoyed it and I absolutely agree on the fight. It has an incredibly tight rhythm that feels amazing when you get it but it’s really easy to get caught by some attacks and lose that rhythm. I’m really happy with this attempt despite some mistakes I made, after all showcasing the boss and atmosphere was my first priority and I’m glad that I could convey that!
as much as I disliked most aspects of this boss, I do have to admit… this was the most satisfying boss to learn and kill for me, by far what a cool video, I’m very thankful for you showing this boss in all of it’s beauty
same for me, overcoming this boss and learning to avoid these crazy moves was amazing and had me shaking on my first kill. Also thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Everyone (for good reason) lauds the performance and mood achieved. Meanwhile my brain: 'Yoooo! Bet I'd Drip Inspector that bombass fit for the Elden Bling magazines!'
I used to despise everything about it. My opinion is that first phase is pretty fun, but second phase is just riddled with issues, mainly that Miyazaki was asking himself what would be cool, not what would be fun to fight. My main issue is just that I think the fight conceptually isn’t very good. It’s just Radahn again, that’s my main problem.
This is one if not my favorite boss fight. Insane music, always wanted to see Radahn close to his prime and here we have it and adding Miquella to the fight like that is cheff's kiss. Also many people expected something different like Godwyn (I also want to see more about him at some point) which is impossible as his soul was killed using Destined Death (Miquella tried to do something about it as per castle sol lore but to no avail) so lore-wise it's also perfect. Despite his 1-2-X combo being almost impossible to dodge with the conventional ways, you can make it easier using the feather talisman which improves the backstep that allows you to backstep->roll->roll his combo, which to be honest should be a default mechanic, it's that good. But if that is not in the plans i would nerf that combo and also improve performance on the phase two AOE, after that foght is really perfect. Great fight btw!
Thanks! I was really happy that Miquella turned out to be a boss, even if I expected it to go differently based on that one cutscene from one of the trailers. Also prime Radahn is such a chad, it was kinda weird seeing him with feet for the first time tho lmao (besides that first ER teaser) I disagree a bit on the Godwyn part but otherwise 100%. Great to see that there’s plenty of people that enjoyed the fight
@Veloketh pure joy when i saw him again and he pushed me to my absolute limits and what i love about this fight is that Radahn is such an imposing character that he doesn't play by your rules but rather his and that is what a final boss should make you feel
This has gotta be in my top 3 boss fights in Elden Ring. Visual spectacle in the 2nd phase, animeish attacks that look cooler than most anime attacks. And the OST is phenomenal. I genuinely loved his first phase and find it to be near-perfect, and his second phase is just as fun, if not even more so despite being more flawed design-wise. But yeah. It's so much fun anyway that it doesn't even matter. It really is just Malenia 2.0 in the sense that more and more people will eventually warm up to it over time like they did with her. Lovely boss fight, and your video just puts into perspective how surprisingly fair it really is once learned.
I went in the Hunter set (ansbachs cloth, night pants, night gloves, aristocrat hat) because as we all know from bloodborne, you can’t beat a god without *fashion*
This is epic.. I defeated him before the nerf and I feel I couldn't enjoy the fight.. that was tense and nerve wracking 😂.bu now maaan this is glorious.. All the art behind this game and your skills are worth of a movie, great content
Thank you, glad you like it! I totally get you, I did enjoy the fight a lot more on my second run, the first one was just me desperately trying to survive lmao (felt incredible to finally win tho). The fight got really fun for me once I figured out how to dodge the clones and could take in the spectacle more while fighting
I love how the Circlet of Light vanishes from on top of your head when Miquella uses his most powerfull attack. It gives the feeling its taking Miquella everything to use it himself guy isn't a full god after all. He's only barely there.
@@slashandgamer damn that’s a great explanation, I noticed that it’s gone too, it’s pretty brief but if it’s intentional than this might be the reason behind it
My opinion this fight receives way too much hate. The fire giant deserves the most hate to be honest. It's not even because of the difficulty is just not fun.
@@Veloketh senessax has some new moveseat and, you know, alwasy cool fight an actualy ancient dragon since, as far i know, you only fight two and they are both optional Also, fire giant only because it force to use torrent witch to me, was the best horde fight ever XD
@Veloketh yeah. I don’t know why sennessax is so unnecessarily hard, I don’t even like fighting normal ancient dragons and then I fight an ancient dragon that has attacks almost impossible to dodge (I’m saying almost because there must be a way to escape, I just don’t know how) at least the reward was worth it.
Thanks! I could see that. He seems like an ambitious demigod with a devoted following of war loving warriors. So if he knew that becoming Elden lord/Consort required his death, then why not go out like a legend. I don’t think he agreed to the scarlet aeonia tho. It might also be a test to see if Miquella is even deserving of godhood. Since Miq says „we“ in the last scene I definitely think Radahn wanted Malenia to be part of the vow tho
I wonder if there are any lore implications to the red aura Radahn begins emanating in the second cutscene. Once Miquella starts speaking, the red becomes Miquella’s brilliant gold. Hmmm.
Miyazaki is CLEARLY inspired by Ocarina Of Time. You guys see it, lets ignore the obvious, the whole combat system is based off Z-Targeting, just way more advance. This boss looks like Final Boss Ganon.
yeah that’s one of my faves too. You can also outspace it by dodging the first two hits and then running away and dodging back in when he comes down from his jump
I love this fight, its almost everything i wanted I feel like the only thing people hate is his 3 hit cross combo, which is reasonable but it dosent make ot a bad boss imo
It doesn’t make it bad, it just dictates how you position and demands your constant attention for the possibility of this one attack coming out. It’s an extremely limiting challenge that one can like or dislike. I just try to play around it and focus on the overall fight since there are many amazing aspects of the fight to enjoy
Just defeated him a few hours ago on Ng+, solo, no summons, no shield and no cheese builds, just mid-rolling and attacking with my sword. Took around 50+ attempts Fighting him this way makes me think that there isn't a single way to approach him, which is a thing that I like about him. The main problems are the visual confusion during phase 2 and some questionable hitboxes. Because of these things, I can't see him as boss higher than low-B tier, only because visual and hitboxes related problems should not be a thing anymore in a 2024 From-software game.
Congrats! That’s pretty much my first experience as well, got him on attempt 52 or sth That’s a fair assessment, tho I liked the visual spectacle, there’s a lot going on but it reminded me of some encounters in armored core 6. It’s hard to rank the fight, I think with a few minor tweaks it could be a strong S tier contender in my book. Still unsure tho
@@Veloketh Visual spectacle is always welcome for me, but it should not be prioritized over visual readability in my opinion. I think this fight had potential, the first phase is enjoyable and the second phase truly show the highest limit this kind of souls-like gameplay can reach in a From game, but it pissed me off seeing From-software refusing to learn from the same errors they keep doing, even after all these years of games. I just can't justify them forever.
Over 5 minutes for phase 2 that's insane. Edit: Why weren't you taking advantage of a lot of the openings? With backhand blades there were a bunch of damage opportunities but you seemingly didn't utilize them.
Pretty sure they make the fight last as long as possible so that the music can be played in its entirety. The video is more a work of synchronisation between the music and the fight than pure and simple domination of Radahn, performances that can be seen everywhere on youtube.
Haha yeah that was tough you’re right, part of the reason is that I wanted the phases to last longer than average. my scadu level was already decently high and my blades maxed out so next time I might just go in with a weaker build. Sometimes in phase 2 there was also the danger of running out of stamina which is hard to estimate without HUD. That has actually cost me more than one good run lol

@@Veloketh ugh heard about it just hours after commenting…guy’s so strong they nerfed him TWICE.

It’s a lot more doable nowadays but it’s still probably the most oppressive boss they’ve ever cooked up
Sir or madam it was an incredible fight! It is my honor to give you a like and subscribe lol.
@@purpulehaze the honor is all mine lol, welcome and thanks!!
Wish I found this video while I was fighting radahn for the first time, you just showed me how to dodge some of his second phase attacks
9:07 i like that you let him grab you

Imagine Radahn suddenly screaming Nihil and healing to full health
@@VelokethI think that’ll make people so utterly mad, that they’ll quit the boss entirely, imagine the broken keyboards and controllers
he also has some omen horns on his arms
true but they could’ve made his design more centered around it, especially given the symbolism of him becoming a horned lion at the top of the area centered around Hornsent culture
Honestly I wish it would’ve been a 3 phase fight. Last 25% of health Radahn stabs the sky and ignites the greatswords with Bloodflame.
Promised consort Radahn is the definition of a hit and run....
using mongol battle tactics on this boss
this fight is the reason im a gamer, for those moments
Great content, I found you work with the Dancing Lion video, it was exactly the content I was looking for: enjoying the epic OST illustrated by a magnificent fight.
I was really looking forward to Consort Radahn's one :). Bravo!
Thanks, thats exactly what Im here for. Glad u found what you’ve been looking for :)
Well done. Your cinematic fights are soo good.
ey thanks! glad u like them
The absolute testosterone my man Radahn wields is the reason why the whole arena shakes at first, not because of some silly gravity magic.Muscles are the real gravitational magic.
Amazing video, love the fact you let him catch you once to include all the dialogues. I don’t know if it was intentional but if it was it’s a happy accident.
thanks haha yeah it was intentional but it got pretty intense bc I think I almost got grabbed again after that by accident lol
This Guy is Not greedy. Great timing
been loving this series, great work
thanks, glad u did!!

You are truly a brave tarnished
Finally, a fight without crazy and boring builds, just two Champions fighting each other for the order that they belive loyally.
10:18 is my favourite part because the music just fits that attack so well.
the lost primarch has finally arrived
We don't need to hear Radahn's reply to the proposal.
"If we honour our part of the vow" most likely meant "if I and Malenia defeat you honourably in combat", "promise me you'll be my consort" as in "if you lose, you're officially the chosen one."
This was the true reason why Radahn fought in the Shattering.
Miquella I love you let us go together my thoughts are only of love let the world be a gentler place and to anyone that disagrees I still love you
Hot take: I think Consort Radahn is one of the greatest bosses From has made, you HAVE to learn it inside out, it’s only hard until you know what to do, phase 2 has many deliberate design choices, it is intently made to throw you off, to confuse the player, puts you in a very pressured psychological warfare, it is very demanding, epitomizes Miquella's ineffable influence on anyone who stands against him.
Well done! Great work!!

Thank you for posting!
@@vanillathunder7957 Thanks so much, I really appreciate it!! Glad you enjoyed it and I absolutely agree on the fight. Radahn overhated
it’s the new Malenia
I used to despise everything about it. My opinion is that first phase is pretty fun, but second phase is just riddled with issues, mainly that Miyazaki was asking himself what would be cool, not what would be fun to fight. My main issue is just that I think the fight conceptually isn’t very good. It’s just Radahn again, that’s my main problem.

100 % 🔥🔥
Also prime Radahn is such a chad, it was kinda weird seeing him with feet for the first time tho lmao (besides that first ER teaser)
I disagree a bit on the Godwyn part but otherwise 100%. Great to see that there’s plenty of people that enjoyed the fight

My opinion this fight receives way too much hate.
The fire giant deserves the most hate to be honest. It's not even because of the difficulty is just not fun.
that’s a crazy thing to say when ancient dragon senessax exists

Also, fire giant only because it force to use torrent witch to me, was the best horde fight ever XD
Great content, as usual.
I still don't know for sure what was their part of the vow. Maybe giving Radahn a true warrior's death?
This looks epic 😮
It should have been just you and Radahn fighting in the first phase with the first phase theme playing in the background.
I wonder if there are any lore implications to the red aura Radahn begins emanating in the second cutscene. Once Miquella starts speaking, the red becomes Miquella’s brilliant gold. Hmmm.
The first crackpot theory that comes to my mind is it’s the Formless Mother beginning to ‘spill out’ since it’s originally Mohg’s body.

I love this fight, its almost everything i wanted
I feel like the only thing people hate is his 3 hit cross combo, which is reasonable but it dosent make ot a bad boss imo
It doesn’t make it bad, it just dictates how you position and demands your constant attention for the possibility of this one attack coming out. It’s an extremely limiting challenge that one can like or dislike. I just try to play around it and focus on the overall fight since there are many amazing aspects of the fight to enjoy
@@Veloketh exactly
Just defeated him a few hours ago on Ng+, solo, no summons, no shield and no cheese builds, just mid-rolling and attacking with my sword. Took around 50+ attempts
Fighting him this way makes me think that there isn't a single way to approach him, which is a thing that I like about him.
The main problems are the visual confusion during phase 2 and some questionable hitboxes. Because of these things, I can't see him as boss higher than low-B tier, only because visual and hitboxes related problems should not be a thing anymore in a 2024 From-software game.
Congrats! That’s pretty much my first experience as well, got him on attempt 52 or sth
That’s a fair assessment, tho I liked the visual spectacle, there’s a lot going on but it reminded me of some encounters in armored core 6.
I just can't justify them forever.
beautifulll
thanksss
Imaginense que Radahn en su primera fase podria invocar una versión espiritual de Leonard, seria un detalle brutal
Haha yeah that was tough
you’re right, part of the reason is that I wanted the phases to last longer than average. my scadu level was already decently high and my blades maxed out so next time I might just go in with a weaker build. Sometimes in phase 2 there was also the danger of running out of stamina which is hard to estimate without HUD. That has actually cost me more than one good run lol
@@Veloketh ah then that's fine lol. Radahn is actually my favorite boss in the dlc so it is super cool to see someone else like it a lot too.
