You know, I dont want to talk shit about the game that I havent played (and especially about the game that hasnt been released yet), but this one looks really lame. I mean, the combat seems to be a combination of DS3 and Sekiro (AGAIN), without anything innovative. In LoP you could make weapon abominations out of any blade and any handle, in LotF you had an umbral mechanic. Here, you just seem to swing a blade left and right. The level design (again, all Im saying is based on what Ive watched onYT) seems to be just a straight line (I watched about a half an hour video of gameplay in a snowy area, and the player didnt even find a single shortcut). The soundtrack doesnt seem to have any personality. Its just an "epic bossfight music". And my biggest complain so far is about artstyle. Like, its SUPER generic. I have nothing against anime style, but the character and especially monster design is super dull and uninspired.The boss you defeated is just a perfect example of my complaint. I mean, just look at it! Its a snow monkey! With ice spikes! It swings its arms! Just compare it to the Guardian Ape. It had a cool second phase with a giant katana and a centipede coming from its ravaged neck. And again, common mobs a also lame AF. These soldier dudes are literally a definitioin boredom. And I absolutely dont get it why so many people are hyped for this game. Am I missing something?

i tried this beta with low expectations, you know, the software house that tries to make a souls like failing miserably. BUT HEY. Its impressive, i was so impressed by this 3 hours demo. Its nothing new, nothing innovative, but what it takes from inspiration, it does it very well! It has so much potential. Cant wait for the full game. btw i wanted to ask, did you parried the massive rock it throws too?

I have been thinking long and hard about which of the two bosses, Bayle and Messmer, is my dlc favorite. Seeing how I keep coming back to these Bayle's videos, it seems the winner is clear.
