agree, placidusax is visually striking but there’s just too much running involved, from the run to the arena to the fight itself, especially the crash landing attacks. Even a great bow build has to do a lot of chasing, which just drags the fight since he is already pretty tanky

oh that’s totally fair, I appreciate it! I actually practiced with a bunch of incants but ended up with a corrupted recording so I had to switch to a character with barely any stuff and just didn’t have the time and willpower to go through half the game again. But your point is valid, although I’m not really trying to play like ongbal tbh, I’ve got a bit of a different approach. Black blade was my main choice since it can sync pretty well with the music which was my priority. Also I should really try out sorceries, I’ve never really done a build with them so maybe it’s time

@@Veloketh Well Senassax has more openings and opportunities for attack. As soon as you get under Fortissax to attack the feet, which is the only opening for a couple attacks ancient dragons have like the dive bomb or the fire breath, you get lightning honed in on you, which makes me deal with that instead of attacking. But anyways the main way of fighting ancient dragons is to attack the head and dodge their swipes early so you can dodge the lightning follow up. If you do this then Senassax's aoe's shouldn't be any different then the lightning follow ups of any other ancient dragon. And Senassax does give more openings to hit the head, as Fortissax really likes to do attacks that force you away from him a lot like that lightning attack that creates deathblight everywhere, and the attack where he flies up and does the spin move. It's a lot more noticeable when you don't use ranged attacks at all.
