Sir Ansbach is the MVP of this whole game in my opinion, most reasonable and decent guy in that broken world. If he gets defeated during the fight he even says to us to become a lord not for gods, but for all men.

Really? Because it seems like he doing the opposite to me.
At first, I wasn't impressed with Radahn's return, but now we have an opportunity to truly liberate him from the machinations of "compassion." The Shattering War truly did reveal the ambitions of the Demi-Gods, and it left me empathizing for Malenia, Mohg & Radahn more than Miquella the "Kind," who so easily manipulated his siblings like pawns on a chessboard. Miquella really did follow in his mother's footsteps, allowing tragedy to turn his heart cold to the plight of a world trapped in a bloody cycle. His efforts to resurrect Godwyn & heal Malenia, cast aside for the sake of enthralling everyone. Rest well, Red Lion, the Age of Stars your sister brought about will herald a chilled moonlight that'll outshine even the brightest tint of gold.

The part starting at 9:05 is really so good. I was so disheartened when I realized that the OST doesn't have a longer version of it.
I like it so much that I am going to write to the music composer praising it.

@@agony6919 Only Miyazaki can pull this off. First Teaser of Elden Ring had Marika and Radagon.
This boss and the associated lore is controversial with a lot of people but i personally love it. The fight while challenging is spectacular and Miquella being revealed to be a more flawed and complex character was a good addition.
Also this music SLAPS
All that lore buildup behind miquella in the main game not included and didnt even mentioned of them. After all those trailers, i was expecting a great questline about him or directly from him, or at least some dialogue with him that can maybe change the ending of the dlc and makes us learn more about characters who were close to him.
Fighting radahn again was a great dissappointment for me, and even if it was a surprise for me to see him i rolled my eyes unintentionally bc i was waiting something more exciting or maybe creative.
The main game made some people and me expect more from Miquella, not seeing him on the shoulders of a known boss for a short cutscene and only the second phase of that boss, and people were right, for he was the most mysterious character all the time.

for some example, miquella in base game got heavily hype up to be some anti outer gods weapon and presumably the most "human" demigod out there that genuienly cared about the common people. but we got?
incest for some fricking reason and ZERO MENTION OF MALENIA and why did he sent malenia to fight radhan to say "your consort is waiting for you" and THEN ABADONED HER FOR ?????????, remember the whole character of miquella is about trying to cure his sister from the rot and the main reason why he created the haligtree, but in the DLC, ZERO MENTION WHATS THE FINAL PURPOSE OF THE HALIGTREE, ABADONED MALENIA AND THEN LET FINLAY CARRY ALL THE WAY FROM CAELID TO HALIGTREE JUST SO HE CAN HAVE GAY INCEST SEGS WITH RADAHN???????
I have never seen such a character assasination as bad as miquella, not to mention the prutric knight was originally called Gloam queen knights, metyr having GEQ symbol on its eyes and all the gloam stuff in multiple different armours description, this WAS the GEQ expansion but got cut for some reason???
the only good thing about this DLC is the dragon civil war, GEQ was an elden lord at one point, the lands between before the erdtree was the actually the afterlife ruled by an ancient unnamed death god (hence the fuck ton of death bird rites), marika home town, greater will confirmed to be a much higher being, confirming the BEST ending is indeed goldmask not ranni as previously thought, ranni is a yandere and shabiri kinda proven right
@@RobuxTix GoT season 8 all over again. Poor miquella had such a wasted potential. It is just funny when you think about it, when we look miyazakis lore writing in previous titles, it feels like he didnt took part in dlc's lore lmao. Geq didnt mentioned, godskins didnt, Malenia and Haligtree and other many things didnt mentioned, its like a joke. Now i only know that Miquella wants to sleep with radahn since the start. I think im losing it.
Also, i saw some tweets that saying miquella was to return to his sister after his ascension to godhood, but im not sure what is the source of it.

@@bruhington the miquella curing his sister after godhood is pure headcanon although probally the most accurate too because leaving malenia alone for (persumably) thousands of years after nuking caelid is dumb, literally undercuting finlay sacrifice and Out-of-character for miquella after created so much for her to cure her sickness to just leave her alone to then mind control mohg to kidnap himself just so he could go the shadow realm and have homo segs with radhan who consent AFTER getting mind controlled
for who to blame for the shit radhan-miquella lore, i think grrm the most cause remember there was some interview back in january this year, that miyazaki explained that all the new story is based on unused grrm lore that couldnt be fit in, and i HEAVILY SUSPECT miquella is gay for radahn because he was nice to him when they were little STINKS grrm, i dont believe miyazaki planned radhan to be the final boss too, there must be some heavy revision midway in the DLC development cycle based on the fact that some areas are just straight up empty unlike base game which has always some secret path or message here and there

I didn’t think Radahn could get any cooler but here we are
People keep going on about how amazing phase 2 is. But what sent chills up my spine was phase 1. First time I fought this boss, I was just in awe. So much so, I couldn't even attack. I just wanted to take in the fact that, they actually brought back Radahn.
This guy gets it. Phase 1 just feels metal but ethereal. Phase one is heavenly hard.
I know people don't like the lore of it but as a Radahn glazer (along with Miyazaki who's a Radahn glazer himself) I appreciate the decision to bring him back more powerful than ever.
I think down the line as Elden Ring ages more people will come to appreciate the return of Radahn.
So everyone who reacted to that trailer with “damn that sounds like a Miquella final boss theme” were right, then, haha
Just the first few notes that introduce the main motif are so powerful. You see his sillhouette, and if you hadn't been paying any attention at all, you get shocked into realizing you're about to face THE Radahn of legend. Not the mind-broken dog of a man, crawling through the desert eating rotten corpses. This is Him.
And he Hates you.

Miquella's singing at 8:25 is so good, I love the way they layered it over itself a bit to give it some reverb almost
Also I LOVE the instruments being played at 10:13 and 10:19. I can't tell if it's an electric piano, or something else, but combined with the drums, cello, and horns/trumpets it is beyond amazing!
Had Miquella and Radahn joined forces out of the free will of both of them, they might've brought about an age as close to perfection within the order as possible. Compassion, honor and dignity as principles of their rule. However, Miquella casting away his love to fulfill this goal turned it all into a dreadful abomination. I literally fought back tears welling up in my eyes when I reached that cross and realized the implication.
Im just happy we get to see Rahdan at his peak PRIME....before the rot consumed his mind and turned him into a monster

This resonates in my ears for more than 24 as I’m stuck in phase one
If you got to this point (facing Radaan and Miquella at end of expansion), but instead of defeating them, went and beat the Game doing Ranni's quest, I'd love to have a fight with you and Ranni vs Radaan and Miquella.
It also would have been nice to have a "let us go together" choice where you find all the crosses and do the Trina quest to instead choose to return the love he shed, and take him to the Divinity Gate that pulls us into an extended Phase 2 OST credits scene.
I could have done with more St Trina.

It seems a lot like the Ancient Greek gods and their “parentage,” there’s incest that isn’t really incest because none of them were really “born” in a normal way.
9:00 the build up is so insane. I was absolutely blown away and distracted during this boss fight cause of the soundtrack.

I cannot quite describe the disgust I felt fighting this boss: Radahn is some weird amalgamation of his old self and the flesh of Mogh. He did not speak despite being "restored". I had to put him down like a sick dog.
Miquella is truely disgusting, and his appearance is so uncanny considering his actions. I would pick Marika over him 10/10 times.
Also, Malenia assisted Miquella in his quest to grape Radahn, so my opinion of her has basically traded with that of Mogh. Poor guy.
Radahn deserved better.
