Sir Ansbach is the MVP of this whole game in my opinion, most reasonable and decent guy in that broken world. If he gets defeated during the fight he even says to us to become a lord not for gods, but for all men.
This fight is the perfect opposite to Gael. One fight is the duel between two nobodies who don’t even matter in their world, whilst the other is the fight between the two greatest champions of their world

Not gonna lie, I had been turning up my nose at Ansbach for the entire DLC (even if Mohg beat the allegations, he was still a horrible monster) but he won me over with that plea: Reject divinity, return to mankind. Become a secular Elden Lord.
@@froilanflorentino1252 Yeah, no, I _seriously_ doubt that. The fact that Ansbach was a "Pureblood Knight" should clue you in on both where his honour came from _and_ why he'd give 100% of his support to a sadomasochistic goddess of blood-worshipping demon. It's better to think of him as FromSoft's take on a Rudolf von Stroheim-type character: A man with good traits, sure. A man you can't help but want to tip your hat to at the end of things. Still a true-believing nazi tho. Seriously, why do people have such an aversion to character depth? And I'm not talking about the childish "this character isn't evil, he's just misunderstood and stuff once you get to know him" variety. Rather, why does it all have to be "Mohg was a horrible monster who surrounded himself with nothing but sadists and murderers" or "Akshually, going by Ansbach, Mohg was probably an honourable Lord-to-be who surrounded himself with scholars and philanthropists"? Why are people so averse to "Mohg was a horrible monster who, true to form as an aspiring lord of a dynasty, surrounded himself with elitists, scholars, and men of honour, people in whose company he'd feel superior to the drabble, yet _who were also_ all sadists and/or murderers"? 'Cuz, y'know, going by all the other people enchanted by Miquella, there's literally no reason to believe that Mohg would've become _more_ violent and unhinged post exposure to the let's-live-in-peace-and-harmony brainwashing. For all we know, the Mohg we're familiar with could've been uncharacteristically docile.
No shit the DLC should be nominated for game of the year, it’s the best thing that’s come out even if it as DLC. I would scream if this was played at the game awards by their orchestra
Ansbach, you died a true Hero. Defended your masters dignity. Defended every being in the Lands Between from a mindless state of bliss, but mere puppets. Thank you for your guidance.
I mean, Ansbach also helped Mohg to kill finger maidens, kidnap surgeons, and tortured people to the point they became ruined and groveling blood zombies... Ansbach's ideal world would be sadistic blood lake for his Lord. Mohg is not a good person and worships literal Outer God of pain and suffering. If you have to choose whom to inherit Lands Between, rather Miquella than Mohg.
Can't believe how well it still mixes with the Radahn part. It's like the Elden Beast boss fight except with soundtrack, how can two individually fantastic pieces fit so well together
FUCK. Now I'm imagining that it's literally Miquella singing the second phase music. As if Miquella's flashbangs aren't distracting enough, now I have to combat this mental image WHILE FIGHTING PRIME RADAHN!?!
Me fighting pre-nerfed starscourge: “Wow… if this is him after he was rotted… I wish I could see him in his prime” Me after fighting consort: “…be careful what you wish for kids 😅”
This is not Radahn at his prime. This is Radahn amplified beyond what he ever was by recently ascended God Miquella, who is at the level of Marika now.
Yes and no. Miquilla is still controlling him. Like, he isn't even holding the stars back . That should let him have much more power than this. Imagine fighting the actual radahn. And it's just a massive meteor shower and astels
The part starting at 9:05 is really so good. I was so disheartened when I realized that the OST doesn't have a longer version of it. I like it so much that I am going to write to the music composer praising it.
@@RolandRG how else are you going to fight a demigod with the body of a child bro? his whole thing is a charm of course his shtick would be charming and empowering the greatest warrior in the game's universe - maybe matched by a handful of others but miquella was his brother and so on so he has plenty of reason for bias. it really makes sense if you think about it
@@sayounsang whole point of the dlc is miquella is becoming a GOD. not one of the many demigods we kill. the ONLY other *GOD* we kill, as evidenced by the "GOD SLAIN" title unique to elden beast previously. and his remembrance of a GOD and a lord. he became as powerful as the elden beast, and used *give or take* the greatest warrior in the history of the lands between (again, with only a few who might match) by returning him to his fighting prime AND granting him all-powerful godly attacks (this is how it is meant to be perceived in the lore regardless of how the fight looks) The only boss you can fairly compare miquella to, is the elden beast. which is a toss up between him or beast as the most powerful. they're just the 2 FULL gods. simple power scaling
This boss and the associated lore is controversial with a lot of people but i personally love it. The fight while challenging is spectacular and Miquella being revealed to be a more flawed and complex character was a good addition. Also this music SLAPS
All that lore buildup behind miquella in the main game not included and didnt even mentioned of them. After all those trailers, i was expecting a great questline about him or directly from him, or at least some dialogue with him that can maybe change the ending of the dlc and makes us learn more about characters who were close to him. Fighting radahn again was a great dissappointment for me, and even if it was a surprise for me to see him i rolled my eyes unintentionally bc i was waiting something more exciting or maybe creative. The main game made some people and me expect more from Miquella, not seeing him on the shoulders of a known boss for a short cutscene and only the second phase of that boss, and people were right, for he was the most mysterious character all the time.
@@slozbecky look up some of the datamine content leaks, the DLC got HEAVILY REWRITE (dark souls 3 again) for some example, miquella in base game got heavily hype up to be some anti outer gods weapon and presumably the most "human" demigod out there that genuienly cared about the common people. but we got? incest for some fricking reason and ZERO MENTION OF MALENIA and why did he sent malenia to fight radhan to say "your consort is waiting for you" and THEN ABADONED HER FOR ?????????, remember the whole character of miquella is about trying to cure his sister from the rot and the main reason why he created the haligtree, but in the DLC, ZERO MENTION WHATS THE FINAL PURPOSE OF THE HALIGTREE, ABADONED MALENIA AND THEN LET FINLAY CARRY ALL THE WAY FROM CAELID TO HALIGTREE JUST SO HE CAN HAVE GAY INCEST SEGS WITH RADAHN??????? I can’t stop imagining the epic battle between the promised consort Radahn and Miquella against Ranni the Goddess of the Moon and her consort of the Night Sky.
The first phase theme is triumphant, it's regal, it's a theme to herald the return of Radahn. You're the first he has seen in his return and whom better to face him than one of the few in the festival that bested him at last. The first phase is a true grudge match in his eyes and he faces you man to man. Although it's not his body, it's most certainly his mind and soul and although he is silent, you know he's eager to face you once more.
I doubt this version of Radahn is very aware, hes under Miquella's charm so I think hes fighting us more out of a need to protect Miquella from what can be seen as a threat
After defeating his first phase and you see Radahn stumbling down, there's a moment where his red aura starts seeping out as if he's regaining control of himself, but then Miquella appears and puts that down with his own golden aura. Why do you think that Miquella, who charms people by embracing them, is constantly embracing Radahn? To keep him under control.
My favorite Elden Ring character, now in his prime, and with no Scarlet Rot holding him back. Behold the Warrior, the General, the Demigod, who conquered the stars. Behold the son of Radagon. Behold, *The Red Lion* *AND HIS BROKEN HITBOXES*
At first, I wasn't impressed with Radahn's return, but now we have an opportunity to truly liberate him from the machinations of "compassion." The Shattering War truly did reveal the ambitions of the Demi-Gods, and it left me empathizing for Malenia, Mohg & Radahn more than Miquella the "Kind," who so easily manipulated his siblings like pawns on a chessboard. Miquella really did follow in his mother's footsteps, allowing tragedy to turn his heart cold to the plight of a world trapped in a bloody cycle. His efforts to resurrect Godwyn & heal Malenia, cast aside for the sake of enthralling everyone. Rest well, Red Lion, the Age of Stars your sister brought about will herald a chilled moonlight that'll outshine even the brightest tint of gold.
i really thought with the castle Sol lore that miquella was trying to bring godwyn back to be his consort. was he already in the shadowlands at the divine gate at that point? radahn is a really cool choice it just confused me when that ghost implied he was trying to ressurect godwyn, only for him to ultimately ressurect radahn instead.
@@pyrelord8763Miquella's efforts of love and kindness all effectively failed. He couldn't save his sister from rot. He couldn't bring his brother back. Radahn was effectively turned braindead fighting Malenia. His Magnum Opus, the Haligtree, failed. In the end he figured all that love was for nothing, and decided that he needed the power to mold the world as he wanted. The cost of that was being able to turn a blind eye to the plight of the world so he could remake it.
@@pyrelord8763you can’t bring Godwyn back. His soul was destroyed. If you can do that then any death means literally nothing, Godwyn’s death wasn’t even salvageable by Marika. Godwyn was killed by true death.
@@pyrelord8763Miquella's plan was to charm Malenia, have her kill Radahn, help Ranni in her plan to kill Godwin and be free, take Radahn's soul from the suppressing pillar, and bring back Radahn in Godwin's body to be his consort. His plan ended up changing a little though.
Finaly deserves more recognition for sheer awesomeness as a background character. She literally carried a half dead demigod probably still festering with the scarlet rot across an entire continent already midway into descending into utter chaotic bloodshed, then deep into the Shattering War, all while dying herself due to battle wounds. Finaly was built different.
I feel so sorry for General Radahn, he truly deserved better. Even after the hours long grueling and frustrating boss fight I was more reileved that I could finally put a true hero's soul to rest rather than finally beating the boss fight.
If anyone deserved better, it’s mohg. Bro got brainwashed, and had everyone thinking he kidnapped miquella but he was just used and then had his remains stolen for Radhan’s soul to inhabit. Apparently radahn also made an oath to miquella already, and regardless of whether he backpedaled on it or not, miquella made sure he went through with it. AFAIK mohg had nothing to do with that whole affair too
Well, you can probably bet that he had LOT of fun doing unspeakable things during the war of the shattering. Nobody in this universe is righteous, but Radahn really was up there.
I mean, being the recognized glory hound that he was, there's every chance that he was in on the deal, y'know... He totally could've agreed to become Miquella's consort in exchange for getting to pit his Redmanes against the Cleanrots in a spectacular war and getting to go up against Malenia himself...
Just the first few notes that introduce the main motif are so powerful. You see his sillhouette, and if you hadn't been paying any attention at all, you get shocked into realizing you're about to face THE Radahn of legend. Not the mind-broken dog of a man, crawling through the desert eating rotten corpses. This is Him. And he Hates you.
Yeah reading the lore you learn that Miquella chose him and him alone because of his strength and his kindness. Despite that strength when he reached his prime Radahn never killed any of his siblings for their runes, he may have fought them but he always let them live. Even vs Malenia he chose to cut her fake arm off. So the fact that at this point you have literally killed his whole family minus his half brother, mother and sister? He probably does hate you.
@@Spenfinitei doubt that as this isn't truly Radahn as it's soul trapped in Mohg's boddy controled by Miquella. True Radahn wouldn't hate you he would be proud to stand against great warrior who rose from someone of none renown to slayer of demigods, he wouldn't hate you for killing demigods as you did that in honorable duel and you most likely are consort of Ranni so his sister/brother in law
I don’t believe this is the strongest version of radahn. We fight a younger version who has not yet become “ the scourge of the stars”. I imagine fighting bosses like radahn, Godfrey, godwyn, and maliketh in their prime would be an impossible fight.
@@c_y_a_9081 He has no great runes here, and this is a recreation of him from before he grew and later got stronger. His prime is when he fought Malenia, he was weaker before that.
I don't know if its better or worse knowing that the red lion supposedly had a kind and gentle soul, but was called to battle without end all the same. Not a happy life.
People keep going on about how amazing phase 2 is. But what sent chills up my spine was phase 1. First time I fought this boss, I was just in awe. So much so, I couldn't even attack. I just wanted to take in the fact that, they actually brought back Radahn.
I know people don't like the lore of it but as a Radahn glazer (along with Miyazaki who's a Radahn glazer himself) I appreciate the decision to bring him back more powerful than ever.
Ever since I fought Radahn at the festival, I've had this growing desire inside of me to witness the power the Starscourge once held in all its greatness. This fight, to me, was it. Sure, bringing back Godwyn would have been cool, but I've been waiting to see Radahn's full power since I started the fucking game x)
First off, holy crap what a banger!! Second off, Miquella’s story I think revolves around a core theme of violation of consent. Every single NPC in the Shadow of the Erdtree is charmed against their will (except maybe Leda?). Their motives, desires and autonomy turned into string cheese through Miquella’s power. I enjoy that in the memory we see after the battle, there is a memory where Miquella commands Radahn to be his consort, yet we never hear Radahn’s thoughts EVER on this. Largely because to Miquella, his agency is unimportant and ultimately irrelevant. The new order of Unalloyed Gold Miquella intends to establish would mean the end of free will, consent and agency for EVERYONE forever. Facing him at the very precipice of the Divine, we realize that the Order he would establish to replace his Mother’s Golden Order of exclusion and genocide will be predicated on a complete loss of freedom for all peoples everywhere. Essentially just as bad as Marika’s Golden Order. And so, he must be put down along with the monster he made by violating the consent of Mohg, Radahn and possibly even his own sister Malenia. Every ounce of loyalty shown to him throughout this story is now suspect. I think it fits his narrative too since his curse is eternal youth and it’s a very “childish” thought process to literally FORCE everyone in the world to get along by essentially magic force, violating the consent and agency of every living soul in the Realm of Shadow and the Lands Between. This is probably the best fight thematically we could have been given and I love every ounce of it! (Except that fucking frame-trapping triple slash shit he does)
@@rKhael53 Miquella has a throw, if it hits you two times you "lose your heart" to him and join him. The same with your Ashen Spirit, it just leaves and you have to fight alone.
some people say "souls fans always say X character is like Griffith" but Miquella genuinely is him. brainwashes a gang of loyal followers, sacrifices everything to ascend to godhood, extremely powerful and conniving, feminine, etc.
Very different characters. Griffith's goals are deeply personal and selfish, while Miquella's are quite selfless. He recognized the sins of his family and wanted to put an end to the whole ordeal and cycle of pain by ushering in an age of compassion devoid of malice and evil. (granted the means to achieve it were very machiavellian)
@GrahamChapman Somewhat misleading. While he wrote the base lore, much of it was changed or altered from its original version by FromSoft. Most of these alterations are small, but there was a point in development where the DLC did not focus on Miquella, where Mohg hadn't taken him. There are deleted voice lines of Miquella speaking during the Malenia boss fight, for example.
Miquella's singing at 8:25 is so good, I love the way they layered it over itself a bit to give it some reverb almost Also I LOVE the instruments being played at 10:13 and 10:19. I can't tell if it's an electric piano, or something else, but combined with the drums, cello, and horns/trumpets it is beyond amazing!
Everything about this fight is insane - fighting in a place of a great massacre, against a resurrected demigod led by another demigod turned god that has a horrific power to bend those to his will - absolutely bonkers
Had Miquella and Radahn joined forces out of the free will of both of them, they might've brought about an age as close to perfection within the order as possible. Compassion, honor and dignity as principles of their rule. However, Miquella casting away his love to fulfill this goal turned it all into a dreadful abomination. I literally fought back tears welling up in my eyes when I reached that cross and realized the implication.
Yeah Miquella became a prime example of "the road to hell is paved with good intentions" ..he sacrificed so much of himself that he cast away parts that he should never have. I had the same feeling as you on that cross and theres even a ghost nearby who said casting out his love was a fatal mistake.
The build up, reveal, and implications of St Trina was honestly the high point of the dlc for me. I found the barrier early on and thought "what could Miquella have possibly wanted to hide away so badly that he sealed a cave at the bottom of a crater in this hidden area?"
He was rotten through even before arriving to Land of Shadow. Remember, he sent Malenia after Radahn before he went there. The plan to kill his brother and take away his will in death was in motion before Miquella started shedding of parts of himself, and the latter hardly helped.
It almost sounds like in the second phase that angelic singing is supposed to be Miquella trying to overshadow the powerful music underneath it, almost like how he is trying to cover up all the suffering he has caused with his age of compassion
Just the music reflecting the feeling of literal Gods clashing. The music sounds like the grandest armies of the most powerful nations are about clash, but no its simply a literal demigod and a lowly tarnished about to fight over the ideology of freedom.
@@GeneralRadahn7987 "General Radahn. A pleasure to see you, after all this time. But those remains do not belong to you. Lord Mohg will have his dignity." goes so fucking hard
I wish we could’ve convinced Freyja that by ‘reviving’ Radahn he won’t get his honorable death he got at the festival, and that he’ll be just a puppet, so she can help save her General
I cannot quite describe the disgust I felt fighting this boss: Radahn is some weird amalgamation of his old self and the flesh of Mogh. He did not speak despite being "restored". I had to put him down like a sick dog. Miquella is truely disgusting, and his appearance is so uncanny considering his actions. I would pick Marika over him 10/10 times. Also, Malenia assisted Miquella in his quest to grape Radahn, so my opinion of her has basically traded with that of Mogh. Poor guy.
@@alfalldoot6715 It can't be that way. Making her fight the strongest demigod at that time-do you think he cared about her? Surely, he wasn't foolish enough to trust Malenia and think she would defeat Radahn without unleashing her rot.
I've always enjoyed attributing the tension and overall feel of a boss's theme song to the lore or what's at stake when you face them. The second half of this song, once you phase him, sounds hopeful, yet tense. Almost like something out of Final Fantasy. Miquella is going to rebuild the world with compassion and love, but he's basically going to do so by force and taking the free will of his followers, and you are the only thing standing between him and achieving godhood and his vision of a new world.
As much as I hate Phase 2 Radahn, that change in phase 2 ost just hits like man, I wish I could hear it longer than the next 30 seconds of me fighting for my fking life trying to understand how I am supposed to dodge literaly afterimages and blinding light coupled with Miquellas goddamn hair covering my screen every second.
I think so far, Lawrence was my favorite theme in Soulsborne. But now…my god this theme. Especially the first phase. The raw power. That feeling of two champions fighting at the edge of the world (it is, after all, Enir Illim is where Elden Ring’s story started). Second phase is great, but that first phase is *something else*
Radahn and mohg were truly chads, radahn was always an honourable warrior who lived for the fight, when asked by miquella to become his consort, he refused and if you ask me, the reason he conquered the star was to stop his own fate, as you might remember, the fate of the carians is tied to the movement of the stars, something that applies to ranni as much as it does to radahn for both are carians the same, when faced with malenia, he gave her an honourable final battle not knowing she was too bewitched by miquella, after hearing her say "Miquella awaits thee, O promised consort", radahn continued to resist even when his mind was rotten, even in a state beyond his past glory he continued to resist the fate that awaited him if he were to die, we can assume he knew vaguely what miquella might be planning by having malenia kill him, and then we came, years later, to give him an honourable final battle, one that radahn would have greatly appreciated had it not affected him in such an unwanted way later on, poor radahn fought till the end, and mohg didn't even get the chance, all he wanted was that his dynasty of blood ascend into light, after being kept in the dark depths of the shunning grounds, he embraced the powers of formless mother and hid, he either was Bewitched somewhere along that, or when he actually went to get miquella from the cocoon, either way, he was bewitched and forced to not just provide miquella a route to the shadow realm, he was also forced into becoming a vessel by us killing him So yea, screw miquella, i once saw a post about him being a cute summon that could throw sleep pots while riding your shoulder, sounded like a good idea, but we got the opposite, ghe shoulders he rid were of two innocent demigod chads, and for what? Age of compassion? Screw that, even lord of frenzied flame is better than that if his age of fuck-passion requires this level of molestery
@@Sergio-oh3fp then propose a better theory essay, if they're all wrong you must have all the rights, or are you here to just trash talk without anything to back yourself up with? If so then that's pathetic and you shouldn't be talking
How is the Frenzied Flame any better? It is way worse than Miquella's age of compassion. Agents of the Frenzied Flame rely on a method of blackmailing a group of people so that they got prosecuted, and then convincing said prosecuted people to unleash their hatred towards injustice by burning the whole world. The followers of Frenzied Flame are basically a bunch of nihilistic edgelords who hate the world so much that they're willing to justify any method, no matter how deceitful and immoral, to convince everyone that the world is not worth living.
Anyone notice how the 1st Phase has a LOT of similar elements, even note patterns, to Godskin Duo?! It's quite telling, considering they're both wearing the skins/bodies of another in battle! Lore inside of Lore lol
the smile when i walked through the fog gates for the first time and eyes on laid him it was huge i was so happy they brought the king back and they even gave him badass music again i love it
The storytelling is so damn good because the game intentionally wanted us all to think Miquella was a seemingly good and genuine character for years. But now we come to this moment to realize Miquella is one of our greatest fears. A character who will do absolutely anything to gain what he wants even if it means the complete absence of free will in the world. To use kindness and compassion to trick us into becoming an eternal slave.
@@GenshinLover283He had Mohg under his spell and let Mohg’s followers continue to kill. From the way I see it him casting aside St Trina was just unleashing the full of it.
Spent three days fighting the Promised Consort. Three days of one on one combat with that dude, learning his moveset, mastering dodge timings, finding out new strategies to maximize damage and minimize time spent. Picking up on the small details of his character that reveal his new nature, getting to phase two more and more often. This was the best bossfight in the entire game, next to Godfrey (which i find very fitting, given he was a hero to Radahn). I honestly miss him now after i won. It feels weird going back to the Divinity Gate and seeing it empty, no Mohg skinwalker starring me down from across the field. Goddamn i loved this DLC so, so much.
Mohg's theme for the longest time was my favorite... But this one... tops it by quite a large margin, especially when in Phase 2. I love it so much that it makes up for the pain I suffered in the fight.
After beating Radahn and Miquella today on my 5th day in a row and 74th attempt. This is my ending credits theme to an incredible game. Thank you Elden Ring ✊ ⚔️✊
1:21 onwards Just amazing. It really sounds like a mighty hero that everyone loved that makes his triumphant return to defend the people he cared about.
IN my very minor headcannon, my Tarnished lost her right arm fighting Malenia (she had to cut if off to prevent scarlet rot destroying her body.) she replaced it with one made of unalloyed gold, the prosthesis Millicent had left behind after she'd chosen to die. So when she explored the Realm of Shadows and reached the top of the divine tower, with the revived Radahn as her foe, she snapped her prosthetic arm in place. Like Malenia before her she was to fight Radahn in his prime, but unlike Malenia she was not doing so in service to Miquella, but against him, to end his age of compassion - his age of tyranny before he could start it. For what is compassion without love and heart?
I'm not even mad at the difficulty of this boss fight (and believe me, I'm suck), THIS, is what you could expected from the strongest Demigod & the new God, if you want to claim your title as Elden Lord!
Its bittersweet, we deny miquellas full ascension and can resist his spell to set him free but prevent the age of compassion. And to save the lands between and all men

Fighting Radahn back when the OG game just came out(before the excruciating nerf they did to him, bloody butchered the fight for tourists) was the best 3 hours I ever had doing a boss battle in any game. I never felt any other boss battle was this epic. Now that I got SOTE and am redoing the whole game, stumbling upon this made me really stoked again to fight him. With my new play through the Caelid Radahn fight is a walk in the park for me, but hearing that SOTE is tough and does not cater to tourists, I'm really looking forward too battle him once more. As of this moment, I finished the dlc. Since I was ng7, I had a hard time fighting bosses and sometimes I died in one hit. Sometimes I cursed a lot xD but I had a lot of fun and I know that a game like this will never come again, I had a great time. I will keep this game in the most special place. Thank you Elden Ring
Say what you want about the difficulty of the game, but love it or hate it, the second you reach virtually any main boss fight… haters and fans alike can come together to agree: that the bossfight soundtracks HIT. No other game track compares to a Miyazaki & Team experience.

Being a living nuke probably helps
I feel so sorry for General Radahn, he truly deserved better. Even after the hours long grueling and frustrating boss fight I was more reileved that I could finally put a true hero's soul to rest rather than finally beating the boss fight.
I think it is possible that he endured the Scarlett Rot so long so that Miquella could not resurrect his soul and force him to be Consort
All gay men suffer. This is tribute to All Gay men.
If anyone deserved better, it’s mohg. Bro got brainwashed, and had everyone thinking he kidnapped miquella but he was just used and then had his remains stolen for Radhan’s soul to inhabit. "Lord Mohg will have his dignity." - Pureblood Knight Ansbach.
(Except that fucking frame-trapping triple slash shit he does)

some people say "souls fans always say X character is like Griffith" but Miquella genuinely is him. brainwashes a gang of loyal followers, sacrifices everything to ascend to godhood, extremely powerful and conniving, feminine, etc.
@aephyn_ that's not enough to be "very different" they have too much blatant similarities
@@aephyn_The selfless motivation is what contrasts Miquella, but it doesn't mean Miquella isn't an allusion to Griffith.
I really doubt George R.R. Martin wrote up an allusion to Griffith. Lest we forget: He was the lore author of Elden Ring.
1:21 to 1:39 is godlike, LIKE I GOT CHILLS FROM THAT DAMN
Miquella's singing at 8:25 is so good, I love the way they layered it over itself a bit to give it some reverb almost
Also I LOVE the instruments being played at 10:13 and 10:19.
Radahn would have never joined forces with him if he had free will. Miquella even used her own sister Malenia. He is just terrible.
I never made the connection that throwing away his love is both in reference to the noun AND verb. Incredible

I always knew she's a bitch
wasn't nuking caelid dooming all of it's residents enough?
Malenia is not badass, not cool, not tragic anymore
Malenia might also be a victim here as we don't know if she did all of this because of her own free will or if miquella controled her
@diooverheaven6561 This was also probably before Miquella abandoned his compassion so he may have still genuinely loved her as his sister.
@@alfalldoot6715
It can't be that way.

Best fucking boss. I have never been as giddy and as excited for any other fight besides Divine Beast. The theme is so FUCKING gooooooood
Poor Radahn man. Both Miquella and Malenia have ruined his lives
All thanks to Marika
@@MangoesMan10best mom (dad? parent?) ever!
Dude got manipulated and used like no other
Malenia was manipulated aswell and Mohg of all.
@@MangoesMan10no, thanks to Miquella who literally controls them.
the music when fighting this boss is probably my favorite in elden ring
This resonates in my ears for more than 24 hours as I’m stuck in phase one
9:20 this part has no right going this HARD
As much as I hate Phase 2 Radahn, that change in phase 2 ost just hits like man, I wish I could hear it longer than the next 30 seconds of me fighting for my fking life trying to understand how I am supposed to dodge literaly afterimages and blinding light coupled with Miquellas goddamn hair covering my screen every second.
8:11 phase 2 is just way too good man
Im just happy we get to see Rahdan at his peak PRIME....before the rot consumed his mind and turned him into a monster
I believe this is young radahn and not pre bloom, size difference shows it
This is neither prime Radahn nor young Radahn, it is Radahn's soul revived in Mogh's body@@thespookysir4485
Well Radahn's mind is controlled by Miquella though lol
this isnt even prime radahn, at this point in his mind, he hasnt even conquered the stars yet
@@MrTavrosNitram And he doesn't even have Leonard, instead they had to make Commander Gaius, one of the shittiest bosses in the game.
3000% agree with you.
Crazy how Radahn got to become "Godfrey's son" in the worst way imaginable
He became Godfrey, in a way.
i managed to kill them with only like a tiny bit of health left right as 10:14 played. the dopamine was insane
Radahn and mohg were truly chads, radahn was always an honourable warrior who lived for the fight, when asked by miquella to become his consort, he refused and if you ask me, the reason he conquered the star was to stop his own fate, as you might remember, the fate of the carians is tied to the movement of the stars, something that applies to ranni as much as it does to radahn for both are carians the same, when faced with malenia, he gave her an honourable final battle not knowing she was too bewitched by miquella, after hearing her say "Miquella awaits thee, O promised consort", radahn continued to resist even when his mind was rotten, even in a state beyond his past glory he continued to resist the fate that awaited him if he were to die, we can assume he knew vaguely what miquella might be planning by having malenia kill him, and then we came, years later, to give him an honourable final battle, one that radahn would have greatly appreciated had it not affected him in such an unwanted way later on, poor radahn fought till the end, and mohg didn't even get the chance, all he wanted was that his dynasty of blood ascend into light, after being kept in the dark depths of the shunning grounds, he embraced the powers of formless mother and hid, he either was Bewitched somewhere along that, or when he actually went to get miquella from the cocoon, either way, he was bewitched and forced to not just provide miquella a route to the shadow realm, he was also forced into becoming a vessel by us killing him
So yea, screw miquella, i once saw a post about him being a cute summon that could throw sleep pots while riding your shoulder, sounded like a good idea, but we got the opposite, ghe shoulders he rid were of two innocent demigod chads, and for what? Age of compassion? Screw that, even lord of frenzied flame is better than that if his age of fuck-passion requires this level of molestery
Me when I make things up (they're all wrong):
1rst phase ost is peak
My loyal blade. And champion of the festival 🔥
Righteous Tarnished. We will have our victory. I swear upon my blood.
- Pureblood Knight Ansbach
Anyone notice how the 1st Phase has a LOT of similar elements, even note patterns, to Godskin Duo?! It's quite telling, considering they're both wearing the skins/bodies of another in battle! Lore inside of Lore lol
HEART STOLEN
the smile when i walked through the fog gates for the first time and eyes on laid him it was huge i was so happy they brought the king back and they even gave him badass music again i love it
2nd phase song is top 3 across all Soulsborne OSTs. Amazing.
7:17 absolutely beautiful
God damn when the crescendo reaches it's peak at 2:25 onward 🔥
The little pieces of Mohgs OST in this are amazing 😮
The storytelling is so damn good because the game intentionally wanted us all to think Miquella was a seemingly good and genuine character for years. But now we come to this moment to realize Miquella is one of our greatest fears. A character who will do absolutely anything to gain what he wants even if it means the complete absence of free will in the world. To use kindness and compassion to trick us into becoming an eternal slave.
Funny thing is he WAS kind and compassionate...until he cast his kinder half aside (St. Trina) because he believed it held him back
@@GenshinLover283He had Mohg under his spell and let Mohg’s followers continue to kill.
Radahn is the definition of “Aura”🥶
After beating Radahn and Miquella today on my 5th day in a row and 74th attempt. This is my ending credits theme to an incredible game. Thank you Elden Ring ✊ ⚔️✊
Why I am crying? Best ost that ever fromsoftware made, omg
I agree, it’s divine
i swear this theme just goes so fucking well with his bonkers of after-image attacks
i really love how you can hear his original ost at the start and throughout the first phase, then once its second phase its now miqualles theme
The 1st part of the ost is the most accurate song for a General, its like an anthem for when Radahn arrives
"I was born a Champion's Cub. Now I am the Lord of the Battlefield's Lion. Radahn, Elden Lord
1:21 onwards
Just amazing.
This music shouts epic Ness and a never ending thirst for war and destruction the Orchestra is sounding i could listen to this all day 😊
I'm not even mad at the difficulty of this boss fight (and believe me, I'm suck), THIS, is what you could expected from the strongest Demigod & the new God, if you want to claim your title as Elden Lord!
Its bittersweet, we deny miquellas full ascension and can resist his spell to set him free but prevent the age of compassion. And to save the lands between and all men
01:23 and 2:25 soo good
The only songs that are even in the same realm of a banger of this are Gael's and Ludwig's themes
I think bayle the dreads theme is in that class personally
@@pookiegaming75 yk, fair, I wasn't paying attention to that much and was just focusing, I really should go back and listen to that here on RUclips!
Update- you were absolutely right holy damn
If we're including base game stuff as well, I gotta give a shout-out to Godrick phase 1 and both of Fortissax's phases.
Dude Radagon's theme is sick too
Maliketh's is also peak
1:31 is the BEST part of this song
YES!!
2:12 is also great
I'm addicted to the first half of this song.
first reaction: "Is that?... No fucking way dude, I am about to get my ass kicked."
On that night I got my ass handed to me 57 separate times by one Gigachad and his backpack Femboy.
For Glory! For DEATH!
They just nerfed him.
too bad they nerfed him just as u made this comment lol
@@amari2509 not *again* .... damn its like they hate Radahn
Not gonna lie I would pay another 30 for a new elden ring dlc in a few years
Say what you want about the difficulty of the game, but love it or hate it, the second you reach virtually any main boss fight… haters and fans alike can come together to agree: that the bossfight soundtracks HIT. No other game track compares to a Miyazaki & Team experience.
