I went into the DLC for the first time using my NG+ build since I didn't want to grind out a new one, so I may have been a bit overleveled but me and Freyja first-tried him. While it didn't feel difficult, it didn't feel easy either: the music, the moveset, everything just clicked together like, as you say, it felt like I was dancing with the beast.
Not only soundtrack, the whole fight feels more Sekiro honestly. As the whole moveset is a dance in itself, I could see myself (and a lot of people seem to have a similar feeling) having a better time dealing with it's rhytmical aspects rather than the visual clues
@@cristianclemente2030 Yeah, a lot of people said this boss was BS, but I think it's more like the Dancer of the Boreal Valley in that you kinda have to treat it like a dance. I mean, it's in the name...

Any kind of music can be waltz like as long as it has a 1 2 3 rythm to it before the. Next bar of music instead of the sygniture 1234 sequence @@Palpatoche

The violin makes me feel like I’m dancing gracefully. The vocals especially at 4:42 makes me feel like I’m being lifted up with the wind. Just amazing work ❤
The fact that it's basically two dudes playing Chinese dragon who can also basically fly makes the movement patterns so hard to understand, let alone respond to properly

Messmer and Rellana is where i struggled because a lot of their combos open very similarly but expect very different responses, while also being super punishing. This boss is more knowing *when* to dodge and less *how* to dodge

I think you can pretty much see lion dancing for Chinese new year everywhere especially in Asia. I'm from Thailand and we also having lion dance in Chinese new year.

It seems like that there are also "Dancing Dragons" in China that were longer than lions, using like 4-6 people to play. Glad that the Dragon does not make its way to the DLC.
but in china they actually have a thing called "lion dance" its different from chinese dragon they usually jump from pole to pole doing acrobatics on them while masked like that . its totally insane
@@nozerc DoH only has like a 30 second part that’s pretty cool. Genichiro’s track is so forgettable that I can’t even remember it. Owl father definitely has the best boss theme in the game, though I still think the dancing lion’s is better

The design is awesome and Divine Beasts are very interesting lorewise, but the camera really messes with my enjoyment of this boss.
