Agreed. In reality something between 125 and 150 would be great, but 137 isn't a round number and for whatever reason people don't like that :/ Being a caster or using a weapon with an off-meta stat requirement renders the build useless or at least completely outranked that can't even be considered.

I hear you, I think you make a good point. Thanks :)

Your logic makes sense for duels, but for invasions the damage starts to get MUCH higher than your defenses unless you do a strength build (back to no build variety) so i respect your opinion but i have to disagree with it.

To each their own, it’s an on-going debate for a reason. Personally, I don’t think we’d have to go all the way to RL150, but I’d favor something around 135 or 140 to 125 myself.
Once Mind and/or juggling more than one damage stat comes into the picture a lot of builds go out the window at 125 seems to me if you hope to stay competitive. A bit of a higher level cap means a lot of builds can obtain more Vigor than they otherwise would to boot so in conjunction with the recent damage/WA nerfs and the added defenses being what they are I’m not favoring 125 this go around personally. Just my own view though.

Depends on if you're trying to replicate the reasoning from DS1 and DeS. In those games SL120 (DeS) and SL125 (DS) weren't all that restrictive. Lower stat cap PvP can be very fun, but it's not anywhere close to 1:1 with those older games taking into account the new stat curves. Set a cap too low and it means you're aggressively pushing people to make pure builds. Ideally one would want a cap such that a wide amount of different builds are competitively viable but not so high that people don't have to make meaningful trade offs.
