The way Fromsoft did holy is so dumb. Why make so many weapons and spells that get outclassed simply because of their typing. Holy damage has no redeeming qualities other than good against undead while a bunch of the main bosses have it as their main resistance. So many of the weapons and spells are cool too but it's just not fun to use them because of how bad they perform late game
Fire sucks too sometimes, sometimes it melts. I was a pyroknight in volcano manor, that was terrible. A few lightning spells and ashes of war and now I'm a paladin.
In my first Elden Ring playthrough I made a Spartan build, using a heavy shield + pike and sometimes powerstanced pikes. It was awesome and fun, I think my absolute favourite ash of war for the Pike was Spectral Lance for the sheer range and comically high posture damage. During the Endgame I switched to Bolt of Grannseax and started feeling like Zeus
short spear damage seems so low, and coupled with it's short range, I'm a bit surprised that you put it as A-tier. I hadn't considered it's heavy attack as well suited for statuses
Charge forth is a Multihit AoW when done point blank That's usefull for PvE to set Rot when your (understandebly) unwhiling to Farm a second one or just want to go the Sheildpoke Route Pls do not forget that ER is PvE first and foremost. Many People get their mind Blown daily that Soulsbornes have multyplayer.
Can you build a spear build with only the standard heavy strike move forward attack with the spears? i like it so much :D Maybe with shield or without. Jumping attacks are awesome as well with them. Do i than only need to boost the stats for this spears? Pike, Short Spear and Spiked spear are also directly at the begnning of the game, thats cool!

It has less buildup per hit on charge forth unfortunately. Also the weapon sucks donkey dick. Put some rot grease on any other weapon and it will not only do more damage, but apply rot better.
What if I told you GoldMask represents you the player, the one who studies lore of elden ring incessantly, combing every detail, yet missing that critical piece of information: That Melina IS both Marika and Ranni. Melina, who has the gold eye of Marika, the Gloam Eye of Ranni. The one who casts ancient Erdtree spells but fights like a black knife assassin. What if it wasn't just Ranni's body that got split, but also her soul. One half of her soul taken and merged with part of Marika, giving birth to her new form at the Erdtree.
I mean Goldmask's revelation is something so obvious to the player that it's valuable for in universe context, and drives some of the confusion for what his deal even is. I've never met a person who wasn't completely aware of the fact that Marika is a subordinate to the Greater Will, even if they didn't have a name for it. Tell anyone to describe what Marika's role is, and you're going to get answers leaning towards a pope. Goldmask's revelation is just that. Marika is more of a papal figure than an actual, capital G God; that she's not an immutable divine being, but an exchangable, mortal mouthpiece. Everyone in the setting, or at least most of the "ordinary" people, believe that Marika IS a capital G God. Goldmask's revelation is just pushing the world towards Elden Protestantism instead of Elden Catholocism, on this principle. Meanwhile, the things he's boggling over are probably the first guess of the average player. It's kinda funny

Youwy rates these the spears off the top of his head, and they turn out to be the exact same lineup as you get after a hardcore math eval.
