      No - what ended his career was chosing Jets over Jaguars when Denver gave him the option, and the fact that his rabid non football fans and his rabid non football haters make a good not great QB a loosing proporsition for any front office, where the mminimum requirement for them to have a career post Tebow would be to be at least a top 4 team in NFL, and there is not a lot of certaincy that Tebow was that good. I loved him with our Broncos, but he had a lot of flaws especially in training.

    • @jenspetersen5865
      @jenspetersen5865 3 года назад

      So true - it made him toxic. What Tebow did for the Broncos when you compare his results to other QBs in their first 16 games was top 10, but the love/hate crowds made it very risky to take Tebow on. It is pretty funny that tripling the win rate, being one of only 3 NFL QBs in history to take a team with 1½% playoff chance, and the worst rated defense the club has ever made the playoffs with to the divisional round is how so many defines a bust. How is it a stain on McDaniels to have drafted him and then no one remember who drafted Johnny Football, Brandon Weeden, Brady Quinn, JaMarcus Russell, Blaine Gabbert......

    • @DeafeningCha
      @DeafeningCha 3 года назад +2

      @@jenspetersen5865 Hardly anyone is saying it's a stain on McDaniels. Tebow was a bust because he had a 46% completion ratio, threw wobbly balls, had awful mechanics, and couldn't adjust to defenses. On top of that, no other QB who performed that badly in their first 16 games got even 10% of the media attention as Tebow. The 2011 Broncos had to rely on their defense and winning games in OT, Tebow was a liability. This game here is Tebow's norm.

    • @jenspetersen5865
      @jenspetersen5865 3 года назад

      @@DeafeningCha I know that hate for Tebow is strong, but the socalled football arguments are ludicrus. Tebow did what very few QBs have done before or since. It is rare to take a team mid season when you have a 1½% chance of making the playoffs and take the team from 20% win rate to 63%, and burn the #1 defense by throwing 80% of the 50 Yard passes completed on that year, and it is utterly stupid to claim that the #24th ranked defense that was 1-4 with Orton suddenly are winning games on their own.
      Sorry but QBs don't set a ton of NFL all time records for comebacks, passing and rushing that easily. 80% of QBs in the NFL has achieved less than Tebow did in 2011.

    • @DeafeningCha

      @@jenspetersen5865 Cool, doesn't change how he sucked as a QB.

    • @jenspetersen5865
      @jenspetersen5865 3 года назад

      @@DeafeningCha I guess sucking really depends on what you want a QB to do. I am pretty tired of QB's that trow nive catchable passes to the opposing team, and much prefer the QB that in 2011 was the best in the NFL in th 4th quarter, through his tenure with the Broncos won 90% of games where opponents scored less than 33 points, and 80% of one score games.
      Tebow is still the only QB that Broncos has ever drafted to win a playoff game for us. He is the Broncos QB that has had the best single game performance in the playoffs ever.
      Tebow is still the QB in NFL history to be the quickest to 6 comeback wins, still the only QB in NFL to do a 15 point comaback win within 3 minutes, matches Elways career total in comebacks of more than 14 point (matched that in his 4th start), still scored more than Peyton Manning, John Elway.... and a host of other HOF QB in the equivalent starts, and did not have a lot of giveaways.
      Personally I think it is pretty stellar to win 90% of games when the defense do their job. I'd settle for a lot less from Drew Lock, but he will never come close.
      I guess in your world however that other things than leading your team to victories is what counts, be it skin color or views on life outside of football. In my world it is not really a big thing that you don't as a QB measure up to Tom Brady or Peyton Manning from 2011 and on.

      So true - as it was that year against all above average passers. Though our defense is mostgly given credit for the success with Tebow, we gave up 40+ against Packers, Lions, Patriots x2 and Bills. As much hate as there is against Tebow, it is pretty speciel to win 90% of games where opponents score less than 33 points and 80% of 1 score games

    4:39 ? Why did Tim Tebow decide to deliver an inaccurate pass on 3rd and 5 there ? Thomas was wide open.. may as well just sling it in there and move the sticks, no ?

    Why did Brady punt?????

    • @MA-on9xl
      @MA-on9xl 3 года назад +3

      It’s a rarely used tactic in football known as the “pooch punt”. As a QB you’re ahead and just looking to coffin kick the opposing team into an awful field position when they aren’t expecting it (no one to return the punt downfield). No one really does it anymore because you may as well run out the clock or try for another pass, and QBs usually aren’t great at kicking. Brady for some reason was able to do this several times pretty well.
