    Decent video, I learned a lot. This process has been streamlined a lot since people first started doing it when these engines first hit the market. Really nice to see the nissan transmissions becoming popular swaps because they are really decent for these types of applications. I used to have a high powered built and boosted Toyota 86 and doing the CD009 trans swap made all the difference. I'm looking to do an older japanese coupe with a 5.3 or 6.0, and your setup is very inspiring. Thanks for making this video and reading my long ass comment hahahahaha

    Good stuff man. Currently have my LM7 pulled out for a rebuild on my FC. Ended up doing a cam swap with dual springs, trunions, etc. Much like you I used the AR5 trans instead of a T56/CD009 for cost efficiency and it seems to work pretty well. I wish I would’ve done a Z32 trans now when you mention the whole slave issue. Your tip about the headers is a god send to a lot of guys too I ended up buying the expensive Cxracing ls swap headers and am kicking myself for not trying to use a cheaper shorty setup.

    This is the cleanest ls swap I have seen yet this is amazing I am considering doing a ls swap on my 1984 z31 and I will definitely follow this pattern nice work keep it up

      well if it's na your gearbox can hold for 400-500hp but i'm not sure if toque will be problem. go with turbo gearbox

    Love the video! Just as a little bit of info (that may have changed since you created the video). The Holly Terminator X, brand new with harness, display, and ECU, is ~$1100. You mentioned your ECU/tuning solution was ~$400 and your harness was ~$600. That being said, the Holly Terminator X is roughly the same cost. Not 'correcting you' or anything, just wanting to let folks know there is another option that is roughly the same cost, but is slightly easier to use (for those who aren't adept at tuning).

    For your trans , are you running the twin turbo or na , I also got a z32 trans granted I paid much more , and that adapter plate is about 800 now

    This build has been a huge inspiration for mine! I'll also be running a z32 trans paired to an lm7 with the ronin mount kit. I'm curious if you had to remove the stock trans mount humps in the tunnel like the instructions from ronin say?

      It’s been so long since I did it but I don’t remember cutting anything off. When you use the ronin kit with the z32 trans, it mounts in a slightly different position

    How do you like the z32 gearing matched to the na diff?

      1st feels a little short but other than that it’s good. I think the t56/CD009/z32 trans have very similar 1-5 gear ratios

    What did you end up doing for the master cylinder and the lines for it?

      Stock master. the line I made myself, but if you know the length you need you can have a brake line shop make it $50-60 roughly

    Did you use the factory na driveline?
    How much of the factory mazda wiring did you cut out? The trans you used, was it from a tt z32 or a na, or does it matter.

      I had a custom driveline made. All the OEM harness is gone. Trans is from a NA Z32

    Was the z32 shifter location close to the stock placement?

      With a transmission shifter adapter it sits closer to the stock position but still some trimming is required

    What did you do for a driveshaft?

      I had a local driveshaft shop make it. If you measure 📏 it they should be able to make it. They need to know what rear end and transmission you are using so they can get you the right yoke & flange

      Custom made. Any driveline shop will make it for you, if you know the diff & transmission. Call ahead of time to make sure you measure it correctly. Every shop has their preferred method of measuring the driveline length

    Does the harness you purchased hook to the Silverado ecu? Is there two??

      Hooks to the truck ecu (Silverado/Yukon) and there’s only one ecu

      Thanks man I just looked and seen two big plugs on the purchase link.im working on swapping a 1987 fc.i did the manual swap some years ago and finally drug her out of the woods after watching all these LS builds on RUclips

      @@THEBOILEDONE yeah just make sure you get the right wiring harness for your Ecu. Red/blue plugs are drive by cable (mechanical throttle body). Blue/green is drive by wire (electric controlled TB). The plug ports on the ECU are labeled, so it’s easy to figure it out

      I did it as standalone systems. So the chassis harness and engine harness are separate from each other.

    Sadly soon all combustion cars, bikes including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-(
    In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime (BABVVO=Bundesabgasbespassungsverbotsverordnung)!!!
