Your Dudeness, Superb two part instructional video. Wonderfully adaptable. Excellent mentorship. This talent can get you hired in the Scenic Arts department of tv or moviemaking industry. Finally, absolutely the best destruction scene I've ever seen. Hall of Fame nomination from me.
In my 237 years I have never seen anyone put brick on a wall like that, but oh by gosh by golly, you did it and it worked. I am a gonna have to get me some of that.
My wrists are both shot, so this isn't anything I could ever do again, but I sure do enjoy watching you work! I can imagine the things I could have done years ago had RUclips been around to show techniques like this.
I got that nervous feeling when the mix stopped giggling around 8:08. Then you actually said it! People who are familiar with high performance concrete know all to well about the rush that comes from racing the set time. Out here in Vegas it is not for the faint of heart because even set control adds only a couple minutes of working time. Great Channel.
I have nothing in my backyard, and after this channel, I just want to build concrete bowls and concrete tables for days lol. I would love to see other builds
Thank great video I'm learning a lot. I used 4 bags of Cement All for the first time resurfacing our patio. Definitely, a learning experience the first bag wasted a lot. But, gradually for me mixing by hand was better than a drill.
Awesome video. I have block retaining walls around my pool that I just can't find time to stone veneer. This is the perfect solution!! Much appreciated.
You’re the best guy doing this type of video I’ve seen, nice work Michael. I’ve had the idea to sculpt concrete into stones or bricks for a long time and didn’t know the products to use. Thanks!
The truth is, after watching this “Cool Guy” (I felt the exact same way), I feel confident in trying something like this. Very informative and makes the process seem user friendly.
So AWESOME!!! You have inspired me to use this for a project that's been 12 years in the planning- finally I know how to do it 👍👍👍 much appreciated xox
You have made a new fan! I loved the wall. Got a lump in throat watching you smash it... but then again was in awe how well they both adhered to the bricks.
I love Rapid Set products. I have used their hydrolock to repair a foundation wall which stops water leaks followed up with their mortar mix which they recommend to also use on foundation wall repairs and now I'm getting ready to use their Cement All. I've done a lot of research on that product and I can't say enough how much I love their products. I follow two contractors on RUclips that also use and recommend Rapid Set products.
Woow what a nice video, I’m thinking of getting a manufactured home and searching for ideas for the under pinning and the first video gave me the answer, fake rock looking like with the stucco or brick cheep and beautiful, thanks !
I'm back. You've given me the courage to tackle my exterior foundation. I've used the rapid set mortar mix to patch some holes and adhere a broken corner. Stuff is amazing and bonds incredible. I'll use the cement all as a final parge coat. Thanks for a great video !!
Everytime I watch one of your videos I want to get er done.. . Instead i just continue watching.... Keep it up! My 9 year old enjoys your stuff aswell.
Your a god of mortar/cement mix...create and destroy...a big thanks to showing use what's possible...got my brain racing with ideas...though, I thinks I will master the "happy little accidents" part. : )
That's mesmerizing to watch. I want to add a riverstone stone effect at the bottom of my house, then put siding above that. Currently it's wood siding. This video gives me inspiration. Great choice in the beer!
Oh my HECK!! You seriously changed my life. I'm going to attempt my creativity on a boarder cinder block wall in my front yard. I will send you an update. 😁
Love everything about this! This girl is not afraid of tools and trying new things. I have a rough-looking 4 1/2 foot tall cement pad that acts as a retainer wall to a lower patio with a hot tub up above it on the upper patio. I'm going to try this to decorate that wall. I'm definitely making this channel part of my youtube family of go-to media. :)
Thank you so much for your video. It’s really inspiring. I appreciate all your hard work. I love cement and working with metal hopefully in the future. Thanks again. God bless you.🙂🙂👍🙏
I love your channel even though I only discovered it this very evening. Great work on all your vids! The only thing that could've enhanced this video ever further IMHO was a little Pink Floyd behind the destruction part... but maybe that's just me! ;) A big thumbs up from The Netherlands!!!
You are an artist and I really wanted to cover my foundation with those brick veneers, but I don't want to spend the money for them, so I'm going to try to do the bricks like you did. I'm a sixty-year-old woman and I'm fixing my Foundation,it's full of cracks. I've learned how to do so many things in this house hope I can do it , but I don't know
Really good! You do make it look easy like Bob Ross who you mentioned in the first show. Not only do you have talent but you are a natural at teaching.
Thanks for the demo. I am skilled in most areas of construction, but masonry isn't one of them. Thank you for showing what can be done with this product.
Well Michael, I see you didn't miss me.😭 Lol just to let you know how much I like watching your videos, I over cooked my pizza, I had to show you to my other half. He liked that making of stone on bottom of wall. Said be good for our chimney, the one for the furnace we don't use. The one he won't get a chance to put stone on now. Now he understands why I don't want to miss your videos. Sorry missed last one,. Phone was out, missed notification for it. Thank you so much for your videos they are fun to watch and learn from everyone. Hope you and family are well and safe. 😄 Sorry, the phone was before last week. Last week I was in our woods cutting down trees for our firewood. Yes, I am also a lumberjack. Lol.
Amazing info! Wish I had this last year when I parged my walls. It was a nightmare haha. You make it look sooooo easy. I think in about “30 years” I’ll get better haha
@@traviscall2246 right that's all I could think too..someone woulda came and picked it up, and paid you for it too. Gonna be a lot more cleanup too... Was a really nice piece!
nice video! love this mix. expensive now in 2023. and yea it can be hard to finish. even with "set control" packets. the packets sacrifice strength though. read directions carefully. you can use several packets per bag. you can really feather edge this stuff and really does NOT shrink.
YEAH!, this was like waiting on the final episode of Mash to premiere. Going to try my hand at several of your videos. You make it look easy, hope it isn't too bad.
Nice work and very interesting explanation of application and technique. I really enjoyed your presentation and respected you for it and the Guinness, obviously you have great skill and excellent taste!

😍 in love with that wall. I’ve been looking for someone to do my wall for me and even offer to pay my brother and he won’t even respond said he’s too busy. I’m gonna have to tackle this one on my own. Wish me luck! Trial and errors I guess 🤦🏽♀️
Go get it, girl! My husband quit trying to do any concrete repair around our house once I asked if I could try it and did it much better than he ever has! Now he just does the mixing & brings me the mortar to work my magic! I'm going to use this video sometime this summer to spruce-up my front porch. I hadn't considered doing the stone-look thing, but I think I am going to do it . I want to find out how tough it would be to use concrete dyes to give the stones different colors. You can do this! :-)
Great videos your are a true inspiration to creativity, I would however like to ask can you do something similar to this over hardi siding cement board sheets
I love how you do your instructions! I will be using the part A for some cement block flower beds I have. I do have a question: can I use this technique to make a stone finish over a brick hearth around my insert wood burning stove?
Love these two videos. I live at the entrance to our subdivision. We have a brick wall with the name of our subdivision mounted to it with wood letters. The sign was built in the ‘60’s. It is about 10’ long by 4’ tall and the bad is solid but some of the bricks are loose and some has broken off. I have been wanting to do something like you did in these videos. First I would have to replace or re-secure the loose bricks. What mix can I use to go over the bricks. I like the smooth look in the second segment. Would I need to use a bonging agent so the mix adheres to the brick. I’ll try to attach a pic of the wall.
We have to use the set control to work with this stuff. I used it today in a 90° temperature and it set up so quick that I didn’t have a chance to work with the whole material, I end up loosing half a bag. However is a awesome product.

Best test for this product on YT. Everyone else is doing fence posts. Thanks
Amazing and I see how cement isn't being valued like it should for being an art form. I enjoyed watching this video.
It is, just not in this country. Asian countries use it for architectural, artistic and sculptures alot.

All in all, I second this most excellent suggestion.
Amazing strength in such a short time!
Aluminum Silicate cements are very heat resistant, how about a fancy fire pit?
Michael, do this! A rocket stove style firepit! Or a concrete solo kind of thing
Yes please.
🔥 🔥 🔥
Yes, this!! I’m beginning a big smokeless fire pit project and I’m thinking the cap will HAVE to be poured.
Enjoyed this 2-part series and learned a ton!
This is the best ad I've ever watched
Awesome work. I would love to see how you coffee table and curved counter tops are holding up after a year of wear and tear!?

This video was just what I was looking for to build my fire pit bench! ❤

Absolutely
I figured because I've been watching you use this stuff for several different applications, I appreciate the response and of course your knowledge!!
Had no idea this was possible... but I do now! Thanks Michael. :)
DEMMMMMMOOOOO!!!!
I appreciate the expense and time invested in this demo. I learned quite a bit. Thank you Captain Morgan!
