I am retired and never thought in my life that Petoskey, MI would be the town I'd retire at and hoping this is where I will settle my life! That is to be determined! But so far it's been great!

@@genodangelo , Hi , good evening ! Yes, life is funny and also fantastic especially considering I am actually living here, it took about 2 years but I made it! I am living in Bear Creek Township , renting an apartment right by the high school! What amazing views up here , I am up on a hill! I'm actually from Pennsylvania (Lancaster County ) but have been living here in MI for about 5 years now! I love " PURE MICHIGAN" the nature in this state is what keeps me here! Lancaster area use to be all farm land a long time ago, before that it was a small town . It is now a metropolitan area, so living here in Petoskey also reminds of my other home town , lot's of country side, rolling hills and I love that I have that here too!

Geno what do you think about Lakes of the North? We just bought a lake house in East Leroy and are selling our home in Battle Creek and we are considering buyin a small lot in Lakes of the North and putting a camper on it for now and planning to build a barn with an apartment in it (or something similar). We come up usually twice a year and stay at Boyne Mountain but if we had a place of our own up there we would probably make it up alot more.

Lakes of the North is one of the most under rated communities in Northern Michigan. You get a lot of bang for your buck there. Lots are incredibly affordable.
